Does anyone know what username AikFrank is now using? What is the name of his coin?

i just love this, man
50 btc at more or less 7000us$ per bitcoin, is 350000us$ for a forum badge...A FORUM BADGE

never fails to make me smirk, it's amazing, honestly. it's even more cool that many of the donators/vip weren't rich at the very beggining, they just came to the party early, and if i were those guys, man, i probably would've donated too, this community is worth some appreciation...well, maybe not 350000us$ worth of appreciation but definetely something in that range lol

I read the earlier posts and disagree with any notion that 10BTC and 50BTC donations can be justified. Where exactly are all these donations going?

I mean how much of the BTC donated to the forum is needed for hosting? Unless the moderators take some of the donations for salary and/or expenses it means there should be no other expenses. 1x BTC at todays rate of $7000+ would easily cover more than 1 years hosting.

Have any of the moderators actually filed any tax returns for any money received? Where are the donations going and what are those in receipt of them actually doing with them?

The justification is that it would be unfair to the original donators to change the rates now. Next to nobody is donating anything to the forum anymore anyway, though I think one or two people have (bizzarely) done so over the past few years. The forum is self-sufficient via ad revenue and that is what moderators are paid out of. Donations have never been used for that and the money that was donated has/is being used for development of a new forum. Staff are responsible for paying their own taxes, though there are a few staff who theymos pays taxes to the US IRS on their behalf.

If taxes are paid then it means donations are paying salaries Smiley

There will always be a scammer no matter where you go.  We really can't stop them but what we can do is avoid them.

Agreed but does anyone have AikFranks URL to his ICO or the name of his project/coin? Which other username does he use? Would be interesting to see the scam
16187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of Scammers Here on: November 03, 2017, 10:33:48 PM
Its interesting to see that as soon as bounty or airdrop is on the ANN thread title, people simply don't care if the ICO is scam or not.

Sadly very true

Does anyone know the amount paid and terms of the sale?
16192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver: Did he get rid of ALL his Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash? on: October 25, 2017, 03:56:35 PM
If he really believed in his push for the fork surely he should have sold all his Bitcoin and held just Bitcoin Cash.

Oh well I guess what was remaining of his reputation as been destroyed too

I understand why he doesn't sell though. Even for instance lets say, that I'm a developer and a hardcore believer of bitcoin cash(NOTE: JUST AN EXAMPLE). I honestly wouldn't sell my bitcoin(BTC) because of the fact that I know that even though I don't believe in it, I still know that theoretically the price should go up in the future, which makes it a good idea to hold them, in a investment point of view.

He pushed for the fork because he believed in Bitcoin Cash but it seems he kept hold of his Bitcoins after the fork because, wait for it, Bitcoin will not be beaten by Bitcoin Cash.

Not impressed with Roger

Anybody know?

So after the fork came in what did Roger Ver do? Did he believe in his vision so much so that he decided to give up on all of his Bitcoin after the fork?

If he believed in his vision so much surely he would have exchanged his Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash. Anyone know?

No, scammers are everywhere. There are also legit projects here and you just nee to know who's real and who's not. I don't know if you've been to other sites like Facebook because scammers here is just a small number compared to that site.

So if we are talking about proportions and ratios, it seems you are saying the number of fraudsters per 100 is more here than Facebook based on the total number of users. This site has a fraction of users compared to Facebook but according to you it seems there are more scammers here pro-rata.
