1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 5 years compare to now on: November 01, 2023, 10:11:57 AM
Well, it's nice to see how Bitcoin has changed in the last 5 years.back in 2017 Bitcoin was around $4000,  and there a lot of speculation if it will be a good ideal of investment.  With the pass years we have seen the up and down with price of Bitcoin nearly $69,000 @ November 2021, the price today of Bitcoin is around $21,000, which is a big huge change from the past few years. Bitcoin have a positive  value, it can also used as and asset.  In the past five years has been a huge growth, however institution that held Bitcoin and investment on it like Tesla , having a amount of Bitcoin on their account. This has brought a huge profit. The way Bitcoin is been used by large and small companies and organizations. Do you think this will continue in the coming years?
First it is not past 5 years instead 6 years because from 2017 we are in 2023 now and that is 6 years in total.
second it is not 21k but now we are at 34k and I believe that just right after you post this bitcoin price starts to climb and yeah make it high
instantly breaking 30k and above . also why need comparison just only from 5 years when you can try ringing from the beginning and see how
high it climbed each 4 years. and continuing in the coming years? this only shows how you are not really digging inside this market and just
putting your thoughts in short knowledge .

Today's price is $34k, not $21k, I wish it was still so cheap so I could buy more, unfortunately it is not. Anyway I really don't see why bitcoin shouldn't keep getting better and better, at this point is clear that the major governments are not going to ban it, more businesses accept bitcoin, more people know what they are, I mean, everything looks pretty great.
Mate if you are only reading the date when you are quoting , this thread created week ago so meaning that the
price really changed from October 27 the thread creation till now that we have already had a great climb last week.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market warms up, what altcoins can help me rich? on: November 01, 2023, 09:43:26 AM
I read some Twitter users with big followers that cryptocurrency market is going to be bullish.

Bitcoin halving will come in 2024.

Bitcoin will have a big bull run in 2024.

What altcoins can help me rich in 2024 and 2025?

Any idea?
never rely on what you are reading in Twitter because that social media is full of scam and liars so better
be careful to what you are dealing and best to ask this forum instead,Halving is yes soon to come and it may or may not bring Bull run ,
but if you are asking if you can be rich in altcoins? how much richer and how much you can afford to lose if ever the market goes wrong
way as you expected? are you willing to risk more money for this plans?
I may not be a good Investor and adviser but at least I know what risk means ,
if you are going to trust Ethereum and invest thousand of dollars now  then indeed you maybe rich from altcoin but how long can you carry?
1623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $BTC soar beyond 35K or dip below? 🚀📉 on: November 01, 2023, 09:10:53 AM
Join the BTC discussion and let us know where you think it's headed! Will it skyrocket past 35K 🚀 or experience a dip 📉? Your insights matter, so cast your vote and share your crypto wisdom with the community! 📊
Specific time frame for this? because if you are asking for the whole thing then this is
just a peanut price because bitcoin expected to be reaching 6 digits or even 7 in the future . but if this is about only for the recent
pump? Bitcoin shows 34k increase so we are just 1k short before breaking it.
i am already having my plans and have sold some low moving coin for the next halving. I voted for 35k and up but even if it fails me? I care nothing because I trust bitcoin more than any crypto currencies.
Absolutely, the potential for Bitcoin is indeed exciting, and it's likely to continue its journey to new heights. While we can't predict exact time frames, it's crucial to note that regardless of price movements, using a reliable crypto payment gateway like https://coinremitter.com/?utm_source=rep&utm_medium=bitcointalks can be a smart move. It offers you the advantage of seamless transactions, enhanced security, and accessibility for your digital assets. Diversifying your portfolio with stable payment solutions can help you navigate the crypto market's ups and downs effectively. 🚀
And that is right that I diversified though just a few of my funds because I focused in Bitcoin with the top of
my funds and I am even willing to take to next level till how many months to take before tasting  my fruits , some more time like 6 months from now
but even if this took me another year yet I am ready to wait.35k is indeed the pump record this year but I cannot call that skyrocket because we have
been already at the 68k level and making it skyrocketing for me must break that at least 50k again.and now that we are nearly ending year so more
expectations from everyone but readiness must be the our weapon to survive and not to fall from making wrong decision.
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that you will be hold till next Bull Run on: November 01, 2023, 08:39:24 AM
I have chosen ARB and OP, and I have invested heavily in these two projects.
Well ARBITRUM use to be one of my Favorite coin back in 2021 because I was expecting this
to be one of the most growing coin in Bull market but I failed https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/arbitrum/ the chart seemingly
not showing any good any time very soon but its your money so it is up to you.

_____________________________________________________________________________

And about OP? if you are referring to Optimisim https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/optimism-ethereum/
Not sure if there are any best  waiting for you , at least not in the  next coming month but let us see this happening in 3rd quarter next year.
Update us to what happened mate.

Wanted also to Add mine like XRP (ripple) because this has been steadying even after winning the case
from US SEC so I believe that in the next Bull run  there are something better coming to this one.
1625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: November 01, 2023, 07:55:39 AM
Hallo people,

I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?

What comes to your mind asking that when you have carried buying from 26k to 31k? it is a 5k distance yet you manage
buying so why not 35k? and actually it is still 34k in which you can still profit if you are willing to take that coins till after halving next year that
I do believe your main intention in buying at this level because if not you have bought when the price is below 20k .
As explained many times, buying at one point is always up to your carrying psychology. If you feel you can handle price stalling and sometimes even going down for months, you may buy right now and do nothing more. But personally I feel like 35k would be too expensive in current situation. Because we are not in bull market yet, its still too early as we have 2 more months in 2023. 25k was real bottom to buy I suppose, not sure.
Yup and OP did not even mentioned if how long he wanted to keep those coins in His pocket , because
if that is just for short time meaning this year alone , then maybe that is correct that 35k is high enough to risk , but if willing to
on the higher level meaning till halving or longer then its fine to take chances.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Altcoins to look at in 2023 on: November 01, 2023, 05:21:33 AM
altcoin to look at in 2023 and it is very good for long term investment, then I believe the price can give me a big profit in the future is,
1. Ethereum
2. Binance
3. Ripple
4. ARPA
5. VeChain

If we are listing the coins in thread like this meaning we are the one who also holds them? because you seems
so confident about those listed 5 when OP is already drops Hers in the thread. do Ripple really has that long way to go specially in Bulltun?
do the support and holders will have their piece of cake when all comes to happen, because that is what most of XRP holders look at.

There are many top altcoins to look at in this year 2023, and there are clear evidence that I will achieve a huge amount of money before the end of next year which the price of all those altcoins will increase higher in the future. I don't have any doubt about Ethereum, BNB, Solana because they are in a good position to display what will give their investors encouragement to hold until the right time to release the altcoins to the market come before they can do so to enable them to achieve a passive income. Those altcoins I just mentioned has a good record that is giving investors the confidence to invest and hold like 1or 2 years before they can sell to achieve their capital back and add  incomes to it.
if you are going to buy now and yes will keep it , I think this will not took you 2 years because Bullrun is happening
any time next year , so you only have to hold a long 1 year before tasting that fruit though I already lose my confidence in SOL instead
what i have now is Cardano and yes Ethereum and Binance .
1627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin? on: November 01, 2023, 04:35:35 AM
How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin ?
I have good chunk of Bitcoin now , My business is slowly dying so what could you expect from me?
will be very happy and satisfied if bitcoin turns 1 million as i can finally buy my dream Truck to use as personal and business car, can use it
for cargo business and also I can buy a close Van that needed for my business to upgrade , and also are you expecting something bad
from people here, of course everyone will be happy but not those who did not completely trust bitcoin though for sure altcoin will grow
also because it is a domino effect that we have seen for many years now that altcoins are moving up when bitcoin starts recording its
all time high.but fore sure this will happen in the next 2 or 3 halving so may take long time to wait , lets accept and have plans for the
mean time.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: October 31, 2023, 12:08:05 PM
Bitcoin has established itself as the number one coin in the market and its value and influence are unmatched.  As for the Pi network, I'm not very familiar with it.
Bitcoin has a great journey and I don't think so any cryptocurrency will over cross the Bitcoin. Bitcoin was the King. Bitcoin is King now. And Bitcoin will remain the Crypto King.
Bitcoin did not established as number1 coin instead it is the pioneer and proven its worth , but why need to
mention Bitcoin in a thread that specifically created for altcoin ? are you off topic by that? lets go back to the issue , PI mining is
also offered via mobile , back years in our Local there are discussion about this and many said that this is another no future project,
though now there is a value yet hard to have good exchange to list this so the value stays that low , I believe as of typing there is
25 cents usd value?and overcrossing bitcoin is impossible specially if coin like this, never that it will come .
I don't like projects like Pi coin, they have no good utility, they solve no problems on the blockchain, still this doesn't mean it can't do so well, people already embrace the project without a main net launch, I am surprised that the noise is this much and still going, if this project eventually gets launched it will be a success, but the long term development will determine its future because the developers are very slack.

They have been there for quite a while and still, they don't have anything to show from their development and progress, I think it is the right time to give their investors some preview and make them use whatever platforms they have even if it's not fully done because they can just simply update what's missing to fully have the platforms they were promising their investors and miners. But all they have done so far is just some false stories and false promises which I would not gonna believe until I see their platform fully usable for everyone.
The investors are starting to lose hopes and asking if there is truly a future towards this project , how much time
that they need to wait until claiming their fruits from that time frame of holding.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: October 31, 2023, 11:35:07 AM
Just recently, I gambled away all of my winnings from contests, raffles, Bitcoin price predictions and even my earnings from signature campaigns. The reason I became addicted to gambling is that one of the casinos where I gambled showed me how it feels to experience being a winner. And then end up all my winnings .You know the dopamine rush you get from winning in gambling.
is that the beginners luck mate? or just one day they made you a lucky person that is why you have addicted for a chance
of experiencing same feeling once again,I believe that almost everyone of us have tasted that but others knows that it is just a trick and trap
of gambling site so they did not fall on that.
A couple of years ago I gamble every single day but that was fair and I think it cannot be called as an addiction as I have limits on how much I am willing to donate or lose a week since it is is a lottery. You can be an addict if you cannot control yourself with gambling.
that is a best to say , even you gamble each day at least you know how much you are risking and to be able losing per
gamble , attitude that will never bring you to addiction instead will keep you enjoying the game.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 31, 2023, 06:04:20 AM
I’m not a regular gambler nor an addicted gambler but I recently experienced a terrible chasing loss that start with small amount. I’m on a day off on my job right now due to my minor flu. My feeling got better while I don’t have things to do on my work dormitory so I decided to just gamble for fun only.

My game start by just betting minimum bet on a blackjack table with my initial deposit of 85$ which is my signature campaign earning last week. I lose my initial bank roll with just few bets on consistent losses. I decided to deposit again but this time with higher bankroll which is 250$. I bet twice the minimum bet this time since my bankroll is higher, the result is much terrible loss.

Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.

Conclusion: I will never gamble again when I’m bored or chase loss small amount. With this exhilarating experience. I think I will stop gambling for a long time and reflec on what dumb thing I do today.

SS of my game history:

this is the effect if you let your emotion takes place when in gambling table because sure you will have wrong decisioning then,
Look at what you have experience from this and now you have learned your lesson that chasing losses is the stupidest attitude a gambler must have
even that I am not an expert but I know that when you chase losses is that how you are keep trapping yourself into another losses endangering all your funds
just because you believe that there are ways to recover those amount but the long you stayed is the more you losing.
you have a good winning history but made a wrong mindset , hope that there will be another chance to win again and never to let your feeling decide for you.
1631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 31, 2023, 04:50:30 AM
Not that I'm a charting expert or a good technical or fundamental analyst let alone a bear, but I'm really surprised at the spike that's happened, and which is probably continuously happening as of this writing. So far, the price has already hit above $34,000. That's already more than 12% in growth in just 24 hours.

Has anybody somehow expected this kind of thing? Has anybody had at least a tiny clue that something like this would happen? I know Uptobers have been good months, but every huge increase especially a sudden one must have a big reason. I'm not seeing one that could push such growth so fast. I was really caught by surprise. Will a Bitcoin spot ETF be certainly approved soon that insiders have already relayed to their bosses the good news and the accumulation has secretly grown stronger?
I was expecting this earlier actually when the fake ETF thing from cointelegraph affect the market and I though it is
the beginning of bull run but I'm wrong , because the pumping stopped just before the day ends and then after couple of days this happens
that the price starts increasing again and yes maintaining its position now at 34 thousand dollars value.
Am not fond in pump and dump market but how I see it now? this is not just like that instead a positioning towards 2 lines,
either pump will continue till December or another dump coming this next month before the December small bull happens as it seems to be a tradition
for how many years that the last month is pumping good.
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to find a meme coin similar to bnb tiger? on: October 31, 2023, 04:07:46 AM
Hello, I am a new coiner living in Korea. I want to make some money on the coin market, but I heard that the BnB Tiger coin has risen tremendously. A whopping 50 million percent... So I wanted to find a similar coin, but there was no information and I couldn't search on the Korean site, so I had to use Google Translate and post a question on this site.

I'm curious about the coin with the most views currently, which is a similar meme to the BnB Tiger coin. Not Pepecoin or Dogecoin...
another obvious SHILL POST from newbie and the cheap team advertising , this is how a most probably scam project ,
I wanna ask why need to fake post? or why need to  use new account ? does the team cannot hire a ANN Thread creator for their
project to look more clean and legit?don't make people in bitcointalk fool to invest in such promotion .
well there are already exposing post above and hope that everyone visiting this thread will take time reading and understanding those
warnings or else you will succeed in your plan of having victims here.
If you mean this token BNB Tiger, what makes you think it grew by a "whopping 50 million percent"? The token appeared quite recently and its ATH is only a little less than 100%. Or it's just another PR for no one's unnecessary shitcoin. Plus, it says that "According to GoPlus, the contract creator can make changes to the token contract such as disabling sells, changing fees, minting, transferring tokens etc. Exercise caution." Which proves that this shitcoin was created just to make money from naive people who think they were provided with gem Smiley

Wow...thanks for exposing just another very, very risky proposition. I am sure OP is  just here to promote the said token so they can be able to gain more buying supporters. I am more concerned with newbies who are enticed into this risky industry all thinking they can one day be a millionaire only to find out they are duped. Of course, sometimes we can only blamed them for not researching enough and not doing due diligence. We do live in a world of Artificial Intelligence but also artificial or rather fake offers.
correct mate , thanks to @Xal0lex for bringing this here , so a fair warning to their targeted victims.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 31, 2023, 03:48:17 AM
Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?
When I was Little and my country football team is playing with another country's football team we used to call on the god of soccer to be on our side. I believe that they are different gods and there is a god of betting. But the funny thing is I do not know whose side he's on - the sportsbooks, the bettor, or the punter. Well, maybe he's just neutral like, an umpire.

this makes me laugh at some point  Wink really there is a God for Soccer ?  did not hear this just now ., but of course
as a kid we have tons of stupidity in mind we even called trash cigarette housing as Play money when I was young so yours sounds a legit
child's play. and also made me smile asking whose side the God if for sportsbook or the bettor  Smiley  hope you did a successful prayer those time
that your Soccer God sided with your team .

For me (my belief and thought ) God does not interfere in something that does not represent His name and Gambling
as Illegal in most religion(of course not in their government for taxation) so His presence will not as their also , yet there are many people
I personally know that even praying for the whole week when they are going to cockfight Derby to be champion , also they are offering
foods and even Money un churches to favor them in those event, funny isn't?
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 31, 2023, 02:05:41 AM
That's for sure, online casinos that implement KYC of course determine the number of women and men who register and play on their gambling sites, but there are also many gambling players who don't fill out KYC with real information, that's why it's very difficult to get exact numbers of women and men who gamble in accurate. nowadays it is difficult to stop women from getting involved in gambling, especially slots, there are many women who win big prizes while playing slots.
The real number can't be known as both men and women can use fake KYC documents also a lot of gambling sites don't require Know Your Customer documents and few sites don't require documents if there is no good number of winnings.
and also why do really people care about the potential gender of gambling? either men or women both are spending
time and money and giving gambling site amount to be bagged in the following days.and there are nothing that people may gain from
that statistics , instead it is about how gambler will settle for the games and their activity time.lets not care about the numbers and
genders but we must care about the reliability and the trustworthy of the gambling site that we are dealing
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: next bitcoin? on: October 31, 2023, 01:43:38 AM

I am a high school student. I learned about Bitcoin, but it's too late. I was so young. Because I was 4 years old in 2009. But as history tells us, bitcoin killer will emerge one day. I want to find out such coin, but I don't have enought knowledge and ability to do that.. I want to ask the smart people here. Is there a coin that is similar to Bitcoin now? something that is perfectly decentralized. I want to invest there. If there's a coin you're making, is fine too. Just let me know.
There is no other coins similar to Bitcoin even in few years later in the future. There is none close to Bitcoin
in terms of usefulness, the decentralization and the community around it, other coins would not have stand
a chance against Bitcoin.
Quote
that is exactly what mostly said and know , because why need to look for another bitcoin for the cheaper price?
it is impossible to create another coin like this at least not in cryptocurrency .
those people are just a user that wanted to generate profit and not wanting to use and support the crypto by themselves.
Also there is no such thing such as late in cryptocurrency you still have a chance to gain profit because
you are still young enough to do long-term holding. Because of Bitcoin's nature, you will find yourself getting
a profit in the future if you are patient enough with your investment.
1636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: October 30, 2023, 11:29:59 AM
Thanks a lot.
So I am not here to promote any project, not sure what you're talking about. I'm just a random dude who's still relatively new to this.
if you are truly new to this then why post exaggerated things ? you said there are flood comment
about 1 star complaint but upon checking there is only 2 or 3 account that has that ratings?

and also if you say Flood meaning multiple account but having that issue in trustpilot? am not
sure if anyone of us will even believe what is written there because we are tired of checking fake reviews.

Quote
Now I will say that when reading those Trustpilot ratings they did seem a bit odd to me, because they were a bit similar in their tone, the language they use, and in how vigorously they demanded that people stop using the platform. So it would make sense if those are bots or shills. On the other hand, some of them do provide transactions IDs upon request by the Kraken team who responds there, so it would seem that those are legit customers.

I'm just trying to gauge whether there might be a crisis around the corner and whether these could be the early warning signs or not.
try checking other review site mate and also try to check this forum in Reputation and scam accusation
because this forum will not tolerate Kraken if they are shady or having complicated reviews because there are many
users here that are Kraken users also.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: October 30, 2023, 10:26:44 AM
Yes, you read that accurately.

If I buy several lottery tickets and then leave my account dormant for a long time, say at least 6 months, and my ticket wins the jackpot during that time.
Will anything happen to my prize money? Will the casino refund my money because I never claimed any of the rewards?

It's just a thought I've had for a while and decided to ask here in the community.

There is nothing in this world that has no expiration , even Life has mate so yes there is expiration but
I think depend in which casino or their rules , I may ask is this online lottery? and which site ? and refunding? if you are asking
about your initial bets so maybe the casino is generous enough to bring that back but if your winning is what you asked here and
expecting after expiration will be a refund , sorry But I guess gambling owners are more wiser than us, they will take this opportunity
to take your winning if you did not comply with their terms., remember that it is your mistake and not theirs so a win win situation
for them right? so if you won lottery better to claim it right away before there is someone that will try to claim for you .
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin for everyone? on: October 30, 2023, 09:28:24 AM
I am asking this because not everyone has made tangible profit for holding. Just like myself I end up selling at a loss most times just to solve a problem. Some might be lucky to buy at a low rate and within few weeks or months the price just pumps to their favour. This kept me wondering if Bitcoin is actually for every one or it is a scheme for selected individuals..
It is for everyone that is interested in keeping and risking , and this is also for those who are not greedy
and not seeking for easy money because if that is your plan here then you are in the wrong place , bitcoin is something we
must trust for the rest of our life and until next generation , this is why such coin must be treated long term and not just
for short term like what others try to impose and do.
those are the loser and mostly the blamer of crypto investment that we have been hearing over the years outside this forum.
1639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 30, 2023, 08:41:18 AM
One of my older brothers bought bitcoin with that money, instead of keeping it in the bank, about 6 months ago, the price of bitcoin was 24-25k+, and he bought about 1 BTC. The price of bitcoin has increased to 34K+. In just 6 months, he has made a profit of 9k+ dollars, which would have taken more than 20 years to get from the bank. This means that bitcoin can become a millionaire if people invest in it at the right time. I also bought some bitcoins myself and did it by withdrawing money from the bank. Success is not possible if you do not take risks in life. I know how hard it is to make money and if it is to sweat your head and work day and night, then it is worth it. And we can make a lot of income by buying or trading bitcoin with the right rules. I think bitcoin is a bright future for us.

Your brother is lucky but that does not mean you will be lucky also not unless your willingness will take you
to long term investing then that would be great or at least in the next Halving in which will take place in the last quarter of 2024
show your willingness and sure there will be better coming your way. 9k profit is so cheap if your brother will be wise enough to
keep that bitcoin inside her wallet for the whole year from now and with that he will be multiple richer at least that would last him
more than a year or at least 2 years before tasting that product.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 08:01:02 AM
I'm confused and looking for answers

If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?
This is for me depending on how you will be lured to gamble, sometimes friends are luring us and making it the
way for us to be a gambler and yes we are vulnerable when we are lonely so the chance of becoming more
aggressive gambler is there.
Quote
How would you judge someone who says they don't gamble because it's fun, is that a sign of a gambling addiction?
wait what? is there someone says they don't gamble for fun? meaning they completely gamble to become rich?
then that seems to be stupid Idea

All these questions is been asked because someone close said all these and I think he are losing money and losing himself too, of all the discussions we had, these are the points I held unto.

Later he open up to have been using $500 for gambling per day, he said all these started when his wife left him, that he isn't into gambling at all, but I can't ask why his wife left him in the first place, but does loneliness make people become addicted to gambling or it's something else.
He must be very rich  , can spend 500 dollars per day? he is not a normal employee .
