1621  Other / Off-topic / Re: need advice about amazon gift cards(swagbucks) on: August 11, 2016, 03:51:40 PM
im not an US citizen but i've registered swagbucks and earned 500 SB point that is worth $5 amazon gift card.
i wanna buy bitcoins with that card,at the moment im not processed any thing, points stays there so.what i want to know is if i do write fake adress to the adress lines when snagging can it be problem me ? i mean being guilty.i was associated my account with my fb account but later i've removed it and changed all the informations of the swagbucks account.so now is it risky to do ?

It will be a digital code to your registered email address, so if you have been able to register already with Swagbucks then it shouldn't be a problem as the code will get sent to your email address, if I understand correctly what you are asking.
1622  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to sell Bitcointalk account? on: August 11, 2016, 03:48:42 PM
It is allowed but personally I am not a fan, because it then gives the illusion that the user has been here for a long time and people tend to put more trust in an account that has been active for a few years.

Especially in the HYIP area and new altcoins, these accounts could scam a lot of people, but then there may be legitimate buyers that want a higher account so they can join a signature campaign.

That's just my view, I don't agree with it but it is what it is.
1623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Withdraw Bitcoins to a bank account on: August 10, 2016, 03:26:10 PM
i think you can use local bitcoin exchanger which you can found in your country and transfer that money into your bank account, or you can use paypal to receive money and then you withdraw your money in paypal into your bank account.
But how to prove to the bank that the money was earned legally?
Suppose it would depend on how much is being deposited before they ask any questions, if it is a large amount then it might raise some eyebrows.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: where can i bet presidential election? on: August 10, 2016, 09:03:01 AM
If someone does find a site to bet on the US presidential election then could you please post the odds here, i would love to know what Trump is paying for a win.
I am gutted, I was looking last year on Bet365 at the odds and Trump was at 200/1 I thought at the time I should have put £5 on it but I didn't, I think the odds are really small now.
1625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Make a Living Sports Betting? on: August 10, 2016, 08:33:26 AM
It is possible as long as you are clever and strict and do not fall into the trap of getting greedy and possibly end up losing more than you planned to, it depends on what sports you are familiar with,

I knew someone who did really well on the horses and I mean really well, at one point he had 7 figures in his bank but he was completely addicted and ultimately over the next few years he lost it all and now is struggling.

Good luck to you, I hope you manage to pull this off.

Perhaps they are still ironing out any bugs? well at least that's what I hope otherwise this will sink fast but I am still holding for a while longer.
One of the good aspects of the current low valuation of WBB is that in case of such negative scenario playing out (which I personally don't think it may happen) there is not much room to the downside. the price sits already almost at the bottom, there is not much to sink to underneath.

True enough, the only way is up.  Glad to hear they are almost ready to go, I might see if I can gather a few more pennies and round my WBB number up.
1627  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Minining is a SCAM !? on: August 09, 2016, 11:51:38 AM
Payments for me are really sporadic now, I took up an X11 contract last November for 1 year and up to the halving I was receiving daily payouts but now I think the payout amount must be so small it just doesn't get sent out and when it does it really is dust.

To be fair, I have made my investment back although I can't see there being much if any profit on it.
I got the contract at a discount on black Friday and thought I would test it out so i fully expected it to go either way, just happy I got my initial investment back.

At this time I would not go near any cloud mining and you are right I have seen a lot of people having major issues with Genesis Mining on the btc contracts.
1628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Worldwide! on: August 09, 2016, 11:28:54 AM
I don't really think it matters if a country bans bitcoin or not as it will not stop people using it due to bitcoin being bitcoin it would be near to impossible to 'ban' bitcoin.  They could make it very difficult to cash out your bitcoin but banning it completely I don't see that happening 100%.

5 years time we could possibly be where we are now but with more bitcoin in circulation and the mining reward being smaller, I tend to lean more towards bitcoin being in a similar position to what it is now price wise but with a lot more awareness/adoption.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO U EARN MORE THAN $1 on: August 09, 2016, 09:10:35 AM
For me it is more like a hobby / slight obsession, still waiting for certain coins to skyrocket but not really banking on that, I am happy being part of this community and am looking forward to the time when it does break properly into the mainstream and I can say that I was there at the beginning.

I would love to have the confidence and skill to quit my full time job and move into trading but right now it isn't practical as there are no certainties in this game.

1631  Other / Off-topic / Re: When was the first time you bought bitcoin? on: August 09, 2016, 09:05:34 AM
Back in 2013 when I got into it I tried mining on my laptop some LTC as bitcoin was too difficult so I was told, but my laptop was pretty old so mining LTC just didn't make sense.  Initially faucets were my entry point and then when I got the hang of how it all works I purchased my first piece of bitcoin.

1633  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that the current dump is going to destroy the image of bitcoin? on: August 02, 2016, 08:03:45 PM
I think we will be fine, it will come back as it always does.
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high will ETC go?? on: August 02, 2016, 02:44:02 PM
ETC has taken over for the last few days on Poloniex trollbox and on here there are tons of threads pretty much identical to this very one, they will meet somewhere ETC & ETH around the 0.01 mark methinks.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true? beginners in gambling are the luckiest? on: August 01, 2016, 09:33:45 AM
Not sure if it is due to beginners being new to gambling so when they win they think oh wow beginners luck, but for someone who is gambling already a win is just a win and they don't see it as being lucky because they have already had the feeling of having a loss and have already had the initial first win feeling.

It is a good feeling having your first win as a beginner, it also lures you into gambling as you think that if you won this time the chances are that you could win just as easily next time, and the next time and so on.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC Soon Back To Sub 1 Cent on: August 01, 2016, 08:40:47 AM
Too many threads saying the same thing, no need.  But for what it's worth no I do not think you are right, I think ETH is in more trouble than ETC presently.
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: July 31, 2016, 09:05:30 PM
Nice idea but I don't think this service would offer the owner of the shop enough of a return in order to keep it going.  A bitcoin retail shop would be a good idea but then for the same reason I couldn't see it in place long term, not until we have a lot more people involved in bitcoin.

In the UK there is a shop CEX that sells computers, games, phones etc, and bitcoin is a form of payment that is accepted, to survive I think a shop has to have standard payment options along with bitcoin.

Great news, I will download this in a bit to try it out, great work and maybe soon we will see WBB get a bit more recognition.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Say it isn't so. ETH needs to fork again. Lol on: July 31, 2016, 04:14:36 PM
For forks sake  Smiley it really is a poor excuse for a coin now isn't it, they should just call it a day.
1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In which alternative Cryptocurrencies should I invest? on: July 29, 2016, 04:44:28 PM
There are literally hundreds of alts out there, you will need to use your own judgement to choose the ones to invest in, take people's suggestions on board and look in the forum for the coin and see how you feel before picking them up.

Myself, I have eyes on RBR, ETC, NEM, WBB. whatever you do invest just be aware that you might always make a gain so do be prepared to make a loss.
