1621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exchanges for derivative trading on: July 14, 2023, 04:18:14 PM
Most of the exchanges are requiring verification now. This year alone, Bybit, Kucoin and OKX made KYC mandatory.

The ones that I have used and that I am satisfied with. I will list them as I like them: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Huobi global and Kucoin.

Withdrawal fee on Kucoin is higher on the exchangs I listed, but I do not know if it would still be like that after KYC.

Read this in details. For non KYC centralized exchanges: Current list of exchanges without KYC

You can use those like Uniswap, Pancakeswap too to trade derivative. But I do not use it. Be careful of these decentralized exchanges, they can be hacked too.
1622  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you have opinion about Bitcorse exchange? on: July 14, 2023, 01:48:17 PM
I just hope that if you decide to use it nevertheless, that you will send only small amounts that you are willing to loose.
He should not send money to that exchange at all, if he wants to avoid scam.
1623  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you have opinion about Bitcorse exchange? on: July 14, 2023, 01:40:31 PM
Do you want to avoid scam? Do not use that fake exchange.

If you need centralized exchanges, use this site to check their trustscore: https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges

For a decentralized exchange, use this site to check their trust score. Some are not that decentralized as the trustscore reduce: https://kycnot.me/
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 11:37:57 AM
Your strategy is good and it is your luck that you are getting such profit from weekly gambling. but there is no guarantee how long this will happen because gambling does not guarantee anyone a profit. This is not a problem if you gamble once a week and keep a weekly gambling budget limit and if you can afford to lose this money. Good luck to you.  But keep one thing in mind that gradually do not sink into the deep addiction of gambling
You did not get me correctly. I did not say that I am making profit every week from gambling, what I meant is that if I win, I will not put next week 5% on gambling, it will be on my wallet or bank account, and that I would withdraw my profit for that week. But not that I win all weeks. That is not possible. I may lose all the 5% or I may lose part of it, which means I have to deposit another 5% the following week, or to deposit more to make it 5% in total. Gambling is not for profit making.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 10:12:59 AM
I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. If a week favours me, I will save my profit and the remaining (5% last week income) for next week gambling. According to what I heard, people spend up to 12% of their weekly income on gamble. I think it is not bad but that gives me the thinking to make a post like this on this forum. What percentage of weekly income do you think is right for gambling?
1626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I understand Bitcoin charts? on: July 14, 2023, 08:52:31 AM

This is the chart that contains most information and the chart that I will use to explain. You can see the candle stick that I am using as an example which you see that yellow 🟡 with + line. You will see the red candle stick at the upper part. You see the red candle stick. At the far right side contains the information of the candle stick.

Open is the price of bitcoin when the 15 minutes chart begins which is 31372.92
Close is the closing price. When the 15 minutes ends
After the opening price and before the closing price, bitcoin will rise to certain price and reduce to certain price within the minute set, those are the high and low. You can also see the transaction volume which is pertaining tothe exchange only, not other exchanges.

There are different types of charts. You can read that. Use search engine for it.

Read about indicators too. The common ones are MA, EMA, BB, RSI and many others.

The most important thing to read about are trading strategies and money management.

Read about averaging, martingale strategy (which is not good for beginners), use of leverage (do not use leverage).

Do not trade with emotion. Discipline yourself.

Use the money that you can afford to lose to trade. Use lesser amount to practice.

Most exchanges have trading guide. If you have learned all those online, you should not find it difficult to trade. You can also begin with demo.

You should know that trading is not gambling, but it can be as risky as gambling. It is risky like gambling.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 08:20:07 AM
What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.
Stupidity, and I will not be stupid in something like that. If I have phone or computer, I will gamble myself. If I do not have phone or computer, I will go to a betting agent.

You will know who your friend is and you can predict what he can do. You two also supposed to have an agreement before betting at all.
1628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: See Binance laughable tweet, but deceiving newbies on: July 13, 2023, 08:07:37 PM
(Binance Academy et al)
I think you should use et cetera, etc , et cet., &c. or &c. Et al is mostly used in academic study for referencing or bibliography.

It's not entirely a lie as far as I know. Binance may be a centralized entity but they have provided a harmful of tools, products and resources (Binance Academy et al) that have helped users get on/off ramp of Bitcoin and Crypto plus a KnowledgeBase in their academy. I've read some articles there and they do state from time to time that if users want custody of their assets, they should do so with a user owned wallet.
Binance has helped, not one is disputing that, but that should not make them lie. You can not have financial freedom with centralized exchanges. And if you want to know the truth, they are mostly cared about their earnings and profiting from people. Yet this is off-topic to what we are discussing here.

Since the inception, Binance have had a net positive impact in the crypto industry. Until DeFi and other decentralized infrastructure of crypto is built and secure, the services of centralized entities like Binance would continue to prevail.
This is off-topic to what we are talking about.

@nelson4lov, with all your support, let me put it straight to you. Does Binance makes freedom of money possible for people? Please answer that and support it with facts, not off-topic post. Please do not consider me to be harsh.
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 13, 2023, 07:49:21 PM
Do not forget that there are many, many scammers who join crypto groups and investment groups and collect the usernames of all the participants to send scam messages (usually starting with "Hello"), so if you see any strange messages after joining any crypto group on social media, you know what to do: block the offending user and report them to the platform administrators. They're even on wallet dev channels.
That is true. It is even beyong signal groups becuase it can be any group on the social media. I have noticed this in this social app called telegram, you will join a group and not long after, or after some days, you will see scammers chatting with you and they know you through the group that you joined. Anyone that is involved in anything about cryptocurrencies and joining groups and registering with emails, they should expect phishing attacks which can easily be noticeable and avoided.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 13, 2023, 11:56:47 AM
Financial Independence
You have not ran into debts because of your gambling. Neither do you rely on other people for financial support. You haven't engaged in any illegal activity to get money to support your gambling.
If you are earning money very well to the extent you can feed your family and many other people with you still having savings, this may not be your story, but you will know deep down within yourself that you are an addict and making you not to progress the way you supposed to.

Avoidance of Illegal Activities
You have never considered partaking in illegal actions like theft or fraud to finance your gambling activity.
Because a gambler has not been seen to partake in illegal activity does not mean he is not an addict. Addicts are much many than those seen with illegal activity. Some gambler will leave addiction before it grows up to that. But some people are unlucky to the extent they can commit suicide. A rear story but which I have heard and read about more than 3 times.

What other signs do you know of?
Use less than 5% of your weekly income to gamble weekly. Do not gamble always.

It is not good to be addicted to gambling. We should gamble responsibly.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 13, 2023, 09:57:47 AM
Free signal group, you can join. If they later ask you to pay money or luring you to pay money, leave the group.

If it is a pay signal group, avoid them and do not join. If they can trade and make money from trading, they will not ask anyone to pay.

What people are doing is to look for victims of what they (the scammers ) are not professional at and use it to scam their victims.
1632  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I cant withdraw my funds (1200$) on Rollbit.com on: July 13, 2023, 08:32:52 AM
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. Support unrestricted my account yesterday so everything is fine now, but they couldnt tell me why it was restricted the first place so im a bit afraid now and dont know if i should stop betting on rollbit or not.
I will not say you should stop gambling using rollbit, but you need to be active on their announcement thread.

This is rollbit announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5326640.msg56653011#msg56653011

If you follow them and read what people are posting there, you will have better idea too. You account is now working fine again, we are happy to hear that. Do not violate the rules if the gambling sites and I do not think you have any problem if you do not violate any rule of the gambling site.

I too will advice you to lock this thread when the problem as been solved.

You can also change your topic tile to something like this: [solved] I cant withdraw my funds (1200$) on Rollbit.com
1633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: See Binance laughable tweet, but deceiving newbies on: July 13, 2023, 08:26:14 AM
Well if freedom is what binance aim to achieve all this while then for six years they have been successful at doing just the opposite of what they set out to achieve. The truth is that centralized exchange can achieve financial freedom for anyone, because they demand their customers to provide identification their by making centralized exchange a platform that doesn't support anonymity or privacy.
That is what I am talking about. But not only that, after identity verification, you still do not have the keys to your coins, Binance has the keys and this make you not to have 100% control over you coins, but Binance has the 100% control. They can freeze or seize you coins. You account can be funded and Binance can freeze the account at anytime. There are times that deposit and withdrawal are disabled. Are those freedom of money? That is not freedom.

I mean they are the biggest exchange after some of the big names decided to run away with users funds, if we are laughing and pulling down the biggest Crypto exchange, you cannot see mass spread in the normal community. Binance literally paid billions to users when there was a hoax of it getting closed, no bank can do even 10 million in a day without getting multiple applications signed and stuff, so let's give them respect for that.

And sure, the text in the tweet is surely laughable but I just want the whole space to grow. Not sponsored by Binance or anything, I just don't like unnecessary negativity around the projects which are literally working for benefit of the Cryptoverse.
This is unnecessary negativity? For an exchange to be blatantly lying and you said you are supporting that. I use Binance for trading but I can not support lies.
1634  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: July 13, 2023, 07:00:12 AM
As an investor on bitcoin,I know that most people invested to make profit by buying their bitcoin and try their possible best to hold on to their bitcoin till the next bull run, which will be a perfect time to sell and make profit. My question goes like this
The next bull run that you are talking about will occur in first quarter of 2024, but the bull run will occur some months after. Do not expect bull run immediately after halving, although it might also begin like that. I just know that 2024/2025 would be for the bulls.

1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
I guess the price would be between $120000 to $170000.

2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.
Let's discuss.
All I can discuss is for people to hold. If the bear market is about to begin, it is what we are going to likely discuss on this forum just as we guessed 2022 bear market correctly.

This is the Twitter link:

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1678871785020743680?t=3z-QITH1mxm3CjVE-NGOHA&s=19

Okay, Binance turned 6 this year, that is correct but why the lies:

#Binance was created to achieve freedom of money for everyone.  Roll Eyes

After 6 years, we remain as focused on this goal as ever.  Roll Eyes

With #BinanceTurns6 just around the corner, let’s hear from those who’ve already had their lives positively impacted by crypto.

Please do not report this post, I will move it to exchanges myself. I just want some newbies to see how centralized exchanges can be lying to them professionally.

If you do not have the private keys and seed phrase, you do not have the freedom. With centralized exchanges, no freedom.

But just that we traders do not have option than to still trade on the centralized exchanges. I have $500 to trade, I prefer to go 10x with $50 while having $450 on my noncustodial wallet as backup while transferring the profit out if there is profitable trade. Grin

It is still 7 hours ago. I will advice you to be patient. I can understand, it is not easy to experience something like this if you have done nothing wrong.

If nothing happens. You can PM this their official account on our forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3067300

I hope Rollbitcom will also see this thread and respond as soon as possiblen after you provide evidences.

You need to give evidence of what you are talking about as CryptoGrizzly talked about it in his post.
1638  Economy / Exchanges / Re: You are probably paying more to get your Bitcoin on: July 12, 2023, 08:50:03 AM
Buying bitcoin can be cheaper, the exchange rate will determines that.

Buying altcoins directly with fiat would be of high fee. It it is better to buy on an exchange, buying directly from someone selling on an exchange with good exchange rate. Because buying like that directly on your noncustodial wallet, you still have no privacy just like on centralized exchanges.

My brother was a victim and I discover that the charges are too high, compare to me buying Bitcoin on Binance exchange and withdraw it back into my wallet, the wallet charges 4$ for a transaction where as on Binance it's not up to 1.5$
If you check the exchange rate if you want to buy directly on your noncustodial wallet, it is not favorable. If you use an exchange, withdrawal fee to send altcoins can be cheaper. But the withdrawal fee for bitcoin is high and you can decide to buy directly on your wallet if not charged more than $4. But the more amount you want to buy directly on your wallet, the higher the fee because of the unfavorable exchange rate.
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 12, 2023, 07:50:59 AM
Gambling is a game that has an addictive effect. Most people who have joined gambling sites will find it difficult to get out of the gambling circle. It doesn't matter how much you lose at gambling, as long as we still have money, we will continue to gamble
And that is indiscipline which later lead to addiction. In life you have to financially discipline yourself.

Can you share your first experience playing gambling? and who told you about gambling sites?
I did not know much about football at the time. It was February 2014. I place bet on 3 matches with just novice guesses and I won the three matches. I thought gambling is interesting and thought that is how I will continue to win, but opposite has been the outcome.

Later I have to quit gambling for awhile and started to use the money that I can afford to lose.

No one told me about gambling, I know about it myself and I started online on my phone.
