1621  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammers use too much brain on: January 09, 2023, 11:12:52 PM
That's just what you get dude...
I keep saying that we all need to be careful out there, I've been a victim of this shiiit; all I did was to take a close look at the massages that kept popping up everytime... It's Kinda reviews from other so-called clients that got paid. When I took a close look, I realized that those reviews were smoothly done by copying &pasting -- nothing new was said -- it was simply some mere repetitions. I had to ask a question on how we were supposed to mine them BTCs when we send some amount of real BTCs to the provided wallet address: they were so dumb to the point of saying just the same things they said earlier and none was close as an answer to my question... There and then, I realized it was a big SCAM. This happened 5 years ago though...hehe
PLEASE, don't dare give a trail to anything related to that, it's a major SCAM

Everyone has a reason for a name change.... yeah
I had that experience from when I got registered a year or two ago; at some point, I was confused which display name to use... Not until I came out with a resolution on my current name..
I don't think I need a change -- atleast not for now cus I guess it' looks cool on me yunno. The former problem gets peeps even more perplexed that they'll have to use something that sounds very awkward, with an intensions to change 'em afterwards.
I thought there was a way an individual could make a name change -- way back in my rookie days -- that'll only cause some trust disruptions ....alot of disadvantages yunno. You did a nice job dude

1623  Other / Meta / Re: Why are account farmers still left to roam free in the forum? on: January 09, 2023, 10:49:15 PM
Account farming is actually frowned at...
Infact, Theymos has made it very possible for the least unimportant OP to have an opportunity to be relevant... YEAH...SO, for that fact, peeps go as far as misusing his simplicity for cowardice or something...
Account farmers have been raging an unending war with the DT squad over the years -- it's not starting today.. that'll only make you realize that alot are in here for the purpose of making some few Bucks every other time, for themselves -- they don't have any positive contributions to the forum neither -- at some point, they become toxic just like this set of dimwittys that we get on a regular...
Edit 1: They usually get reported and tagged... Anyone that's buying farmed account is simply bidding "farewell" to his cash

I did not know that this notification display of warning can be disabled, just the first time that I am knowig about this. But I still see no reason to disable it because it is not annoying at all and it notifies a user that another user or some other users have posted before the user's post. It only requires just two click for the user's post to be posted, not annoying at all, but people will have different preference.
Dude,I'm hearing this for the first time too ... Like WTF?
Theymos is really a genius to have made something like that as an option to synchronize; cus sometimes, I really see it as a bug or something... But on the other hand, it's helpful cus it makes me realize (when I'm already done typing) that someone else made a post/ review....so I'll be like -- I need to Check out for what the person said -- just so I don't repeat the same thing....
Just like when I was typing this one, it happened.

I don't think we've got alot of peeps that sailed through the betting line last year; it's never happened that majority of the bettors get fortunate enough to have something saved outta the last year's big wins ... It's always a few, randomly selected tickets( for the casino case)... Though I don't gamble but I know these things. I think if I'm into 'em, the percentage of inaccuracies that I'll get for any properly analysed wager would be around 4/10
I remember a guy from yesterday, that gambled away all the funds he got on his betking wallet; that was about 55k or there about.

Half time and the game score is still 1:1 Manchester united vs Everton is becoming more intense with the sexond half about to start and judging from the outcome of the match so far Manchester united will really have alot of tough time to defend the post against possible extra goal for Everton since their really pressing for that.
Manchester united did a big blunder that aided 'em (Everton) to get a cheap goal -- without much stress.... David de gea has an explanations for that.
I'm always proud of this 'Rashford' dude; he came almost in time, when the goal was needed to top up. I don't think Everton is really gonna give in to that defeate, maybe that's the main reason David should be more careful this time around, though their key player, 'Alex iwobi' has been taken down on a minor injury which is enough for him to quit the game just too early enough ... Let's see what happens next as the score remain 2:1 on the score sheet.

1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 06, 2023, 07:27:42 PM
The game with Chelsea was a serious test for the Potter team, in fact they showed that now they can't play on equal terms with a strong opponent. There are 10 points to the Champions League zone, I don’t know if it’s possible to win back such a gap in half a season. The day after tomorrow Chelsea will again play with City in a cup match, I doubt that anything will change for Chelsea in this match. And after that they will have two matches with Fulham and Crystal Palace, in these games they must get points, there is nowhere to retreat.
That's not true...
Yunno what happens every other time when a big team loses to a big team like that; it doesn't mean any smaller team could simply jump on them and take advantage of that mis-hap. Infact, they'll even get to build up a better gameplay as they don't have to lose too much to avoid loosing their relagation spot on the table....lmao
A game with crystal palace would be a hard nut to crack up; it seems they usually lose their confidence every other time ,when they play against crystal palace. What makes me more surprised is how Arsenal could manage to contend on that position for a long time now .., I'm seeing it for them.

It happens every other time ...
Sometimes, the delay comes as result of the bettor (you) not being precautious enough to follow the rules accordingly -- based on their TS/C's or it's prolly a fault from the system provider -- Which ever one your case falls between would determine whether or not you'd get paid for your winnings ..
I saw a second Post from you when I read far wide; you vouched that they' have earned themselves a trust score from you which is not something that's done on some mere 1,2 or 3 trials.. this is an old post and I just hope your issue got resolved? As I wasn't able to read through those voluminous pages anyways...ion think they'll distrust themselves just for a mere winnings from a single wager like that, depends though.

1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet is chess matches? on: January 06, 2023, 06:42:49 PM
I cannot remember betting on a game of checkers, although I also played a lot of it when I was a kid. What I can only remember is betting on chess games. Chess was a good pastime game when I was younger, way back when there were no cellphones and computers to kill your time. I have made bets on chess games with friends. Those were the good old days. Many of my classmates before knew how to play chess. Today I notice that many kids don't play chess anymore. They're mostly glued on their PC or smart phone.
Yeahhh .... You got that perfectly old boy.... Way back in those old days, we will all gather around in a local joint ( gender wasn't segregated), and we will show our expertise outrightly, that wasn't too hard to figure out who makes the best tag team together -- or prolly, who knows the intricacies of the game. These days, those juvenile would do nothing better than stick to their PCs and Tabs; I don't even feel surprised when they get their chorse done for 'em by their moms or a maid.
Quote
But if there's a PvP platform today for betting, I think I don't trust my chess skills anymore.
I won't even try betting on my first trial after a long time ... No!! That'll just mean throwing away some few bucks carelessly; but I think I won't have much difficulties when trying to get my skills back... I think it's way more easy for someone that has some gaming IQ.

Self-control is a skill that not everyone can learn, especially when tempted with their desires and the things that make them go nuts. You can always gamble and enjoy, but the choice to sink deeper and deeper into it is also in your hands.
Self-control isn't Forced nor inborn; it's learnt over time and acquired in due process -- if it's accepted. If anyone puts much interest and desire on gaming issues, they'll end up getting addicted. When you find too much pleasure in anything you do, it's becomes a major problems in due time.
Quote
Gambling all your money away is no way to live.
That's not what a regular gambler would agree on; they all have one feeling, which is -- the more they wager, the higher the chances of getting a big win someday. It takes special cautioning to convince an addicted gambler otherwise.

Barcelona's chance to win is indeed a little disturbed by Atletico, who actually always appear to be totally defensive when facing big teams and trying to get 1 point. but when that happened, it was clear that this was a loss for Barcelona, especially at this time, their points acquisition with Madrid did not exist because the points were the same and only different in terms of goal productivity.
They should try to get 3 points in this match because even though Atletico is quite a strong team, they still have problems in their defense.
Athletico shouldn't be a team to compete with Barcelona...not to a point that they'll begin to struggle a single point with them... hmm
ATM hasn't had the ability to score multi goals for seasons now and that should be a Great advantage for Barcelona; Plus they've also got a poor diffensive tactis which serves as YET another advantage for FCB...
I'm seeing it as Barcelona has got alot to do on their defensive structure too...they gonna have to increase their performances as that has been a big red flag for them for a while too... As we all know, Barcelona wasn't having issues playing against a team like ATM -- even in the days of their recent coach -- XAVI... I feel he's still got alot to do

This stands to prove the same point; that sports isn't about too many experiences, -- very many times, the experience you've had will only make you reselect invalid games with bigger odds..or sometimes you might assume that games with smaller odd stands a bigger Chance to bring winnings -- when the final whistle is blown, it becomes a different story.
I think it's much preferred if someone could get ideas from a couple of peeps in a social group or something -- not about those gold diggers/ bloggers that would quickly make shabby analysis just to rip you off your cash-- NO
On the other hand, sometimes it's good to listen to yourself and follow your insight, Just the way you understand best -- it all depends

It's something sweet to bet on but it's somewhat impossible to set that up -- Cus who's gonna play against who? Or better still, it could be arranged in a way the bettor wagers and play -- out of his built-in passion for the game in question -- with another bettor,....when any of them gets to loose eventually, no one gets the blame....lol
Employing AIs to play against themselves would also be a good option as goldking proposed... Another important thing to consider is; how often would bettors get to win on this?? Since it's pretty obvious that the whole thing would be programmed?? ... secondly, if it were to happen (cus I know we're merely assuming), don't you think the casino that'll have this options for it gamblers would also suffer the risk of running a business over a huge uncertainty?? Just being curious though

I'd also prefer sports on a serious note, though I don't gamble..
I see sports as an open game that's not determined by some programmed analysis; it's played by real people and you could easily wager on a club with the best form... meanwhile, slots and roulettes only gets to remitt winnings based on the percentage difference -- between their immediate gains and losses -- that's already programmed, so sometimes whatever you wager doesn't matter, as long as there isn't some percentage to engulf your games, then that's just a waste. Casinos are controlled.... I'd even wager as much in sport games that seems viable.

We've got alot of factors though -- as much as I know...
The main thing is the interest; I rarely see peeps with zero interest on sports issues and roulette getting addicted to gambling -- ofcourse, we've got alot of divisions on diver's casinos but, it's totally or partially entailed with soccer, athletics or systematically programmed domain ( which is the virtual games etc...) The point is -- anyone without interest doesn't get addicted to anything in the first place -- but pulling out too much on it could cause addiction, denying the fact that you don't lose anything when you wager and loose eventually could also cause addiction ( cus at some point, anything you keep doing consistently becomes a part of you)

All of these are grave concerns.
Theymos even gone so far as to commit major crimes like laundering nearly $500 million dollars.

When the FBI becomes involved, I believe it is best if theymos roll down that fucking mountain and start talking until he can.

A single message from the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York would be enough to seize bitcointalk.org.

Think about that for a moment.
Is this supposed to mean that you're just another troll like the former from CW's case?? Like..wtf is your problem?? Are we supposed to have genuine members becoming rivals at some point ?? We've heard enough of your erroneous illustrations but have you got proves for them?...
I've been following this thread for a day or two now .... It' doesn't make any sense when you get registered just to take issues too personal, on a site you know nothing about -- plus, the fact that you get too obsessed on public affairs like this -- Cus alot aren't really complaining and you wanna take the pain and get a sip from a goat's bile? Just so impossible as you can't sue BTT without valid evidence

Lizarder, it's funny sometimes what your username sounds like, and... how you got inspired to coin 'em?? Lol... Just by the way though

I know alot of peeps in here have planned on this; spreading the love to places where they're needed the most which is exactly why I encouraged everyone ( pon' the BTT Christmas celebration thread).. I guess you had a nice clue on that, though I wasn't expecting you to have conceived the sane plans too, kudos dude!
I dunno why, but I believe this dude isn't a billionaire like most of us in here -- that's to let everyone understand that if we think we truly LOVE without GIVING, it ain't worth the stress at all. Secondly, it's not about how much anyone has -- I've been running several voluntarily projects that involves alot of cash on my own expense for strange people I don't even know... I know alot of peeps have been doing same too ; I believe in the impact we make, not how much we've made.

I honestly dunno why you got registered in here in the first place -- isn't these purpose amongst your main interest In here? When I got registered, honestly I knew a little about Bitcoin but it wasn't enough to help me out lest I got beguiled by some ponsi schemers -- that's majorly what any regular beginner would come across on the net...I'm proud to say that I've learnt alot including -- having some fringe ideas on technical matters; I wouldn't get that if I wasn't registered in here. OP, I believe you'd get whatever orientation you need in here to begin your crypto journey -- just look out for where you've got some complexities and let anyone help you out with 'em.

To be honest, I'm still a beginner here. and I want to ask if our ranking will not go up if we don't have merit?

please explain, and thank you
This has obviously explained that you haven't read through the rules and the sticky notes on each and every board-- including this one....no you haven't, if you have then you won't be asking a question like this.
Merit is very important to achieve a rank in here, AFAIK... You've been seeing alot of peeps with different merit count; that's not just fancied anyways, it's really something anyone should get if you must rank up in here. It's been happening way back; when peeps only needed few or much activity ratio to rank up, it's pretty different now as everyone new in here -- after the merit system had to pass through the same process... Earning merit is a different ball game entirely.

What's the point in your appraisal?? I don't even like participating in discussions like this cus it's not productive in anyway; who knows if you're not one of these usual trolls that shows up everytime? Hmm... The forum has been a victim of this malicious attack (DDOS) and AFAIK, Theymos is been trying alot on his effort to ensure SAFETY in here and that's the only way out.. you shouldn't complain if you've not got a malicious intensions as that can't be dis-engaged.
