Seems his alt account was hotpassion
What makes you think it's an alternative account?
Does anyone know if he was arrested or not? Do the local authorities cooperate in such crimes or not?

Hello guys i need your help please
i was creating a seed with https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
it shows me some keys i dont understand....
What are you trying to get from your use of that code? If you want to create a wallet, creating it using Electrum is easier and better. You can use to claim forked coins and convert seed /find private key of different BIP standards.

1623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let them make the choice of bitcoin on: March 09, 2023, 02:05:33 PM
the problem does not lie in investing in Bitcoin, but rather when, everyone gets upset when prices rise and starts buying and fears when prices fall and panic prevails.
Convincing people is easy when they see people earning money without making it difficult, and difficult when stories start that there are people who lost their money, so it is a matter of timing, when to buy and when to sell.

please someone quote this https://i.imgur.com/BMWIAC2.png
FTX owes less than 0.1% of customers BTC. Honestly, I can't believe how the financial position of this platform has collapsed in this way.
1625  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BTCPayServer adds CoinJoin plugin, but there's a catch on: February 28, 2023, 07:10:12 PM

Here is the rub, however: they will use Wasabi coordinator as their default coordinator.
When you say default coordinator, it means that there is an option for the user to choose other coordinators, or at least there will be.

The main coordinator run by ZKSnacks submits inputs to a chain surveillance firm.
Are these claims true? How can a privacy-enhancing service provide data to parties trying to reveal identity?
1626  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: February 28, 2023, 06:46:23 PM
Am I the only one who'd like to see Binance disappear? They've scammed users, and they're pretending all kinds of centralized made-up tokens are "Bitcoin" to increase their own wealth. Bitcoin and Bitcoin users are better off without Binance.
We all may want it, and will it be regular or random? Based on Proof of Reserves, Binaance owns 250,597 bitcoins, which is four times what happened when Luna crashed, not to mention the impact of the platform and its investments, which means that the impact on the price will continue for several years, not months.

supporting competitors and having strong competition is the solution.
1627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do peers of bitcoin type confirm transactions? on: February 27, 2023, 03:51:49 PM
-What duties must a node perform in order to be regarded a complete network node?
you can run full node software on any hardware but running it on weak hardware, may cuz some problems, so you need Minimum HW requirements and stable internet connection.
you may find more here https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook/blob/develop/ch03.asciidoc

Regarding the question in the title, when the block is mined, the miners add all the unconfirmed transactions in the mempool with a total that does not exceed max block size and thus you get one confirmation. Mining more blocks above it increases the number and so on.
1628  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin Mining difficulty VS price on: February 27, 2023, 03:27:55 PM
Yesterday, Bitcoin mining difficulty increased to ATH after that, I read a lot of analyzes linking them to an increase in the possibility of a correction in prices. Is there any link between them? and mining difficulty will effect on prices?

1630  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Serously You Label Your Metal Seed Storage Plate?? on: February 19, 2023, 07:26:34 PM
But if you are not hiding it, just putting it someplace 'safe' them having a logo is just not a good idea.

-Dave
Why not try CRYPTOSTEEL CAPSULE SOLO it takes up less space, does not carry a logo, and can be easily hidden.Click to see image
and you can buy something like this from ebay without any logo  Click to see image

There are some services that provide you with templates to hide these Metals in the form of a book, a cup of tea, a souvenir photo, a pen and many other forms. If you are interested, you can give you links to some of these services.

It's their way of promoting what they're trying to sell, but I agree with you that the company's logo must be hidden inside instead of being visible.
Why not make a pocket of fabric and thus hide it?

Such tools are not useful because of their moving parts. If the Metal Seed is poured or exposed to high temperatures, they may fail to retain the seeds or some parts of the words may be pivoted. See this photo

1632  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Is Metal Seed Storage Safe in an Earthquake? on: February 18, 2023, 07:03:20 PM
What happened in Turkey made me think carefully about how to keep my cold storage wallet seeds.

I keep them in a waterproof and fireproof notebook, but is there any proof of the efficiency of this Metal Seeds and/or notebooks with earthquakes? Does it bear the violent shocks?
What are the solutions, in your opinion, if an earthquake occurs? Or in other words, the best solution if you are in an area active in earthquakes and tsunamis.

1633  Economy / Economics / Re: Watchdog warns FDIC fails to test banks’ cyberdefenses effectively on: February 17, 2023, 06:20:14 PM

If anyone has any bright ideas on how to fix things, I'm sure there are a lot of people in the world who would like to hear about it.
The problem, in my opinion, is that these attacks have become supported by countries, and those countries have sufficient resources to precipitate these effective attacks and may be harmful to many countries.
It is not like in the past when the Internet was not the backbone of the economy.
The term globalization and the fact that the final product can be manufactured in a number of countries makes the possibility of adding parts to hardware parts an additional problem.

I have tried several modes of dark mode, but the forum does not work with them professionally, you can customize your experience using https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/stylish/

Sorry for this off topic reply, but why you hiding the total logged in time? Will it cause any problem related to account security or privacy? Isn't it just a meaningless number or am I missing something?

1635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Latin terms in Bitcoin on: February 03, 2023, 07:44:41 PM
The words you mentioned are English, and therefore most of them, with a literal translation, will turn into Latin because they are ordinary words.
Some words may need a change in meaning and not be translated literally to be understood.
As for abbreviations, it is better to abbreviate the initials of the words or leave them in English.

1636  Economy / Economics / Watchdog warns FDIC fails to test banks’ cyberdefenses effectively on: February 03, 2023, 07:10:27 PM

The FDIC is the independent government agency responsible for monitoring the health of commercial banks and savings banks across the U.S. In its report, the organizations’s watchdog found that information used in InTREx was outdated, and that in some cases agency examiners were not completing tests.

In addition, the study found that staff were not being kept abreast of latest cyberthreat updates, and that no training for examiners was offered to reinforce InTREx procedures. According to the OIG, unclear procedures have also led to InTREx examiners failing to file exam work papers properly.

After carrying out its assessment, the FDIC watchdog has recommended the agency take 19 steps to remedy its concerns with the program. The FDIC has said it will carry out 14 of the 19 recommendations by the end of this year, but the watchdog says that actions taken by the agency to address its remaining five concerns have not been sufficient.

Last year, the FDIC’s then-CIO Sultan Meghji resigned from his post at the agency, and outlined his rationale for leaving in a blistering Op-Ed published by Bloomberg News. He said that he received resistance from staff at the agency in response modernization efforts such as ending the use of fax machines and physical mail, and criticized the knowledge and open-mindedness of staff.

The latest report comes amid a wider debate about how private sector entities are held to account for poor cybersecurity practices. In an Op-Ed published in Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Chief Jen Easterly called on the commercial sector to work to ensure that strong cybersecurity is the cornerstone of every product, and to elevate cybersecurity to a board-level concern.

This is why we need bitcoin and another reason to replace your bank account.
If this is the case for banking services in the United States, which has advanced laws related to cyber security, what about the rest of the countries?
Do you trust the cyber security of banking services in your country?

1637  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X Accounts ? on: January 29, 2023, 02:52:46 PM

Which one should I use ?
Which address should I send BTC from Binance Exchange by selecting which network ?
What is the difference ?
If you plan to regularly send bitcoins from your wallet to another wallet or to Binance, it is better to use Native Segwit addresses (bc1) because it will reduce fees, else or to invest in the long term, choosing any addrress will not make a difference.

I also couldnt find ETHW to install in Ledger.
Its better to manage your ETH accounts using MetaMask MetaMask wallet URL (Click me) or New wallet New wallet URL (Click me)

Avoid ETH-POW ETH-POW they use ETH name and only listed on few exchnages
Avoid phishing links.

1638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Still in a Consolidation Phase, Can the Market Be Predicted? on: January 27, 2023, 08:54:14 PM
We have a day ahead of the weekly closing, which, if the price fails, means that we are closer to testing the support at $19,000 than the resistance at $24,000.
Data for the month of February will be decisive in many files, such as the Ukrainian war, the Fed's decisions, and speculators' appetite for more risks.
All we need is an additional $1,500 within the next 24 hours to test $28,000 levels for the first time in several months.

1639  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Receiving Bitcoin on Coinbase from ledger? on: January 27, 2023, 08:43:42 PM
I have tried to send some Bitcoin from my ledger to Coinbase for the first time but it is taking a lot longer than I thought it would.

It has been 50 minutes so far and still says pending - how long does it usually take?

Is there a way to make it faster next time?
To deposit bitcoin to Coinbase you need at least 2 confirmations to consider a transaction final AKA update balance. this table (Click me) for other Altcoins
Go to the deposit section, you will find your transaction with the word processing next to it, check that you have deposited to the correct address, and that your transaction is at least confirmed.
If these conditions apply to your transaction and the balance has not been updated, contact the support team.
