1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum future is Bright on: June 03, 2017, 02:09:11 AM
Hi there,

The reputable website "Bitcoinist" just realease a news about the ethereum future.

And Ethereum seems to overtake Bitcoin in 2018 like the specialists said...
For the Bitcoins Fanboys, i don't try to denigrate Bitcoin because i like BTC aswell, but we cannot say Ethereum is not a serious concurrent to BTC.

Just read this article.

http://bitcoinist.com/ethereum-overtake-bitcoin-2018/
It seems to me that the time frame predicted is too soon, while ETH is making great progress and bitcoin seems to be stagnant because there does not seem to be a solution for the scaling issue, we need to understand if the devs and the bitcoin miners thought they were threatened by ETH they are going to approve any kind of measure to try to stay on top.
1622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do *you* decide what is a good investment? on: June 03, 2017, 02:03:23 AM
Before I decide what is good to invest is I search the latest altcoin to trade. If this is good and if this on the top market. And also if theres a demand on this coin were traders invest in this coin. As long were I can take a profit and invest were you can afford to lose.

Its also good to look at upcoming icos for max profit. I remember the psb surge last time though i don't think its still available. Reading threads and forums would really help a lot as there you'll find information on what altcoin is advisable to start with.
I do not know about that, I prefer to invest in a coin after it has some history in the market, I do not like to invest in ICOs, while its unrelated I think of it as buying a game presale where you don’t know how the game is going to turn out at all.
1623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: June 03, 2017, 01:54:10 AM
In the previous post i notice that theres a 50/50 chance the value of 3500$ will hit bitcoin in 2018 but i think it will hit that value this 2017 early because yesterday no one expect that the price of bitcoin will hit 2500$ in a couple of a days well what we can do is to wait Smiley
from the nature of bitcoin and from the previous rally i think we can conclude that the price of bitcoin will hit 3500 USD in next few days. i think we do not need to wait for such a long time. because in 2018 it is expected that the price of bitcoin will cross 5000 USD level, because there are a lot of good news are waiting for us.
Nothing wrong with being an optimist at heart, but at the same time we need to try to be realistic about the price, bitcoin will need to make an enormous jump in those few days in order to reach that price, bitcoin will need to jump 300 to 400 dollars a day to make that prediction come true.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: June 02, 2017, 04:43:32 AM
There are few countries banned BTC and don't allow their citizens to use it mostly because of the effect on the local currency in exchange for an international one (BTC), Therefore will result in their currency seeing it's actual value compared to other currencies compared to BTC.

This is a major problem in countries, where the national currency is extremely volatile, such as Venezuela and Argentina. Normally, limits are there regarding the conversion of the national currency to other foreign currencies. But in case of Bitcoin, these limits can't be enforced in most cases, due to the transnational nature of BTC.

No matter how much a government dislike bitcoins and make it harder for people to use it or convert it into fiat, still they will not succeed in it 100%. Insipite of all the bans make by the governments, people are still able to use it online . Governments can only discourage the use of bitcoins by giving lots of incentives in local currency transactions but they cant completely ban it.
In a way you are correct but governments can really slow down the adoption of bitcoin by making it illegal, while other things that have been declared illegal have become even more successful because of it, like alcohol, we must not expect the same to happen to bitcoin since bitcoin does not generate a physical need like alcohol does.
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Altcoin to invest in? on: June 02, 2017, 04:35:16 AM
Picking some alt to invest is how hard call to make. Most alts follow bitcoin in price and is hard to pick good one maybe, with some new realizes from some coin or some ICO offering can be good, but here you must be careful in what you will pick your money to invest.

Also there might be some coin that are just to go up, simple is to monitor major exchanges with market cap on particular coin and if it comes to be good one you are winner.
This is why we must be aware of the risk of investing in altcoins, some altcoins will go up but when you look closely at it, the only thing that seems to hold the coins is hype, in my opinion is better to invest in projects that are serious even if they don’t give huge profits at the beginning.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you positive or negativeO? on: June 02, 2017, 04:25:57 AM
I'm in the middle I can say. I can't remember whether I'm on the positive side or losing side now since I've ceased gambling regularly for quite some time now. And I've won and lost quite big amounts as well during the time that I was actively gambling. Though there were no regrets but I think I'm closer to the losing side and that's the reason I don't gamble much anymore
Even if you are in the losing side, the fact that you don’t remember tells me that your losses did not affect you that much, and were losses that you were able to take, I used to gamble as well but I leave it behind me simply because I was losing money and I could use that money for something else.
1627  Economy / Economics / Re: The fastest and safest way of finding bitcoin nature? on: June 02, 2017, 04:15:29 AM
Does anyone know how fastest way to securely search for bitcoins without the greatest risk of losing, surely every one has a different experience in finding bitcoin let's share it here?
You can try to earn more bitcoin through mining, It will give you daily salary in bitcoin form and offer a guarantee if you feel it is not profitable for you and you can try to sell your mining rig. and I think if that is a good way to earn bitcoin naturally.
Lets be honest mining has been out of the question for the average user for a lot of time, maybe you could try to mine some new altcoins you think are going to pump but unless you have a massive amount of resources and very cheap electricity then profitable mining is no possible anymore.

You can mine Altcoins and sell them for bitcoins, there are profitable Altcoins that you can invest into but from the OP it seems he's loookingvfir ways to get them free without losing any money/investment and that I will say is very hard. The only way would be faucets and then you gamble them afterwards for more.
But getting bitcoin from faucets is not free, that is one of the most common illusions, the bitcoin you get from faucets comes from using your limited and valuable time to get those few satoshis, unless you are amazingly fast, you are better off getting a job and then buying bitcoin with it.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 01, 2017, 05:46:31 AM
Gambling can be very addictive, because the brain is capable of producing on its own some of those substances known as illegal drugs, so when someone enjoys gambling too much his brain is not much different from the brain of someone under the influence of drugs and that is why some people cannot stop gambling.
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2017, 05:44:19 AM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.
It will be very rare for anyone to hate bitcoin, since first of all is a thing and second bitcoin is not like drugs, that can cause serious damage and illness to the one that uses it, th only reason I think someone may have something against bitcoin will be because of virus attacks that ask for bitcoin.
1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: June 01, 2017, 05:41:59 AM
Find a tax haven like Singapore?
The problem with places like that is that most of the time are small islands so you will need to get used to hot weather and to big storms and also even though you may be tempted to live there because of the low or null income tax, the cost of living there can be quite high.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: June 01, 2017, 05:36:09 AM
I would think that Bitcoin would get shut down if there was an EMP explosion though I am pretty sure that Bitcoin could survive if someone actually put a network beyond the range of the EMP.

If someone wanted to reboot Bitcoin then they could do it with a mesh-net type of server, so Bitcoin is pretty tough to shut down for good.
As long as two computers survived the EMP explosion then you could continue to use bitcoin but at that point that will be useless but maybe someone will decide to do it just to be able to say bitcoin survived even if the usability of bitcoin will drop to zero at that point.
1632  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: May 31, 2017, 05:33:28 AM
Even some months ago bitcoin'a price was 600$ but it started to rise and everyone sees how it become 1300$, than 1-2 month ago we had a little fall and lowest price was 890$ but than it returned to it's 1200-1300 and continued to rise and rise and we see what we get in result, bitcoin's price is 2750$ currently. This is very high rise and what do you think guys, will we see fall from 2700 to 1000 or even to 600$ ? Can we to forget worries of price fall?
Although it was fast I think we should forget about bitcoin with a value lower than 1000, I’m sure in this year we will have to forget to ever see bitcoin price to get as low as 2000 since I predict we are going to see another push at the end of the year and we may get close to 3500.
1633  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea, the BTC pump and the household credit problem on: May 31, 2017, 05:31:38 AM
This are some of the disadvantages of crypto currencies as an anonymous transactions. Bitcoin and crypto currencies in general did not allow the government to ascertain the capital flight, money in circulation and the ability to spend. I am an advocate of removing anonymous transactions from bitcoin features.
There are not anonymous transactions in bitcoin, there are pseudonymous transactions, if you want to increase the degree of privacy you will need to take measures like tumbling your coins, also I disagree with your position bitcoin was created to fight government control over us and you want bitcoin to be regulated like that, to me that does not make sense.
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest loss with cryptocurrencies? on: May 31, 2017, 05:28:14 AM
According to the prices today, if a kept my bitcoins i'd be up thirty to sixty K

Losing bitcoin due to software or hardware difficulties and being scammed? at least five k

how about you?
My biggest lost when I was trading came when I was a complete noob in the world of bitcoin and after buying some bitcoin with the intention to use it I saw that the price got lower and I lost the equivalent of 44 dollars, since I was a noob I sold as fast as I could without realizing that is just the way things work in bitcoin.
1635  Economy / Speculation / Re: When 21BTC = $1,000,000. If on: May 31, 2017, 05:24:54 AM
Predicting a state of economic value. When. If.
That is close to 48k per coin to be honest I don’t think we will need anything major  to happen for bitcoin to reach that price, the world economy will keep going despite a few crisis that will help bitcoin, reaching that price is  not as far out as some may think if bitcoin grew something like 10% yearly I suspect it will only take bitcoin 20 to 30 years to reach that price.
1636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: May 31, 2017, 04:17:43 AM
Hey guys.

How can I increase my bitcoin money? I am a bit curious to those people who can easily make money “btc” grow fast. How do they it correctly?
Can I ask a bit of advice on how to manage it like what you do?
Of course I know many people here want to know too.

Maybe it is good to share a little of it. It would be great if we grow together.

Bitcoin is money, and like anything that has high value earning it is not an easy thing especially if we know bitcoin does not have as many ways of being earned as fiat does, so my advice is to stop thinking it is easy to earn bitcoin, you need to work long and hard.
1637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do *you* decide what is a good investment? on: May 30, 2017, 02:33:27 AM
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum scene, but I've been following cryptocurrencies for a while now. Some of the tech has me really excited, but there are use cases that I read about that just make me scratch my head Huh. One thing I've noticed is that some projects for which the buzzword count to substance ratio is insanely high does pretty good, while others that seem to have a legitimately great idea flounder.

So my question is, from an investment standpoint, what do *you* look for in a cryptocurrency?

For instance I think that Mysterium looks like a fantastic idea...but I'm not great with finance stuff, so I'm wondering what more seasoned investors think

The most important thing in my opinion is if the project has a market or solves a problem, if it does not then the coin may pump but that will be it, if the project is in fact useful then you will only have to wait to reap the benefits of your early investment.
1638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: May 30, 2017, 02:29:50 AM
Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?
I just wondering if bitcoin hits 3500$ in 2018 what would you do?
Me i will just keep holding in my bitcoin cause i believe that bitcoin can quadriple its value a couple of years from now.
I think it is very likely bitcoin price will exceed 3500 very easily by 2018, we were very close to the 3000 mark and there is still more than half a year to reach it and when we take into account the set of good news that we keep getting every day, 3500 seems low.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the darkcoin/dash/dashpay instamine matters on: May 30, 2017, 02:27:02 AM
As a dash investor i know about all of this information i do not care. The dash community is very open about this. Seriously this is beyond beating a dead horse talking about this on these forums.  Dash had a shady start we get it but its a quality project thats why im investing in it.
The reason this needs to be repeated is that there may be new users unaware of that, you have decided to ignore it and decided to invest regardless of that, since you are the only one responsible for your money then that is your call, but this needs to be brought again to warn people about it.
1640  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptos success will probably lead to a global financial system reset on: May 30, 2017, 02:22:14 AM
I've been gaming it out and I see no way for it to coexist as it is a direct adversary to the global central banking system we exist in. Crypto eventually causes a global run on the banks once we reach a tipping point where average people start demanding crypto over fiat. This triggers a derivatives explosion (1.3 quadrillion dollar market) the global financial system implodes and all fiat debts are erased. What is left is complete chaos all public services go unfunded, pensions evaporate, companies go under due to their fiat assets evaporating. A new order arises but who the fuck knows that that will look like, world war 3 style military actions begin.

I do see government intervention before it goes that far and it will be the draconian kind. They cannot coexist since crypto cannot be centrally controlled , regulated or tracked due to cross chain interactions which are undetectable. I only see one path for them and that is waging war on crypto public chains. Long jail time for hosting or participating, extradition and global cooperation since not cooperating might as well be a declaration of war.

The scenario seems too fantastic in my opinion, I think it is way more likely that governments are going to adopt the model of crypto currencies for themselves and will create their own state controlled coins, that way they can corner most of the market before bitcoin can.
