A met a Filipino girl once. She was in her late 20s and still a virgin.

How can you be so sure that she is a virgin? Here in India, nowadays the girls lose their virginity when they are in the high school. You may be able to find 30 year and 35 years old virgins among the males, but the chances that you may get a virgin girl above 20 is near zero. The condition is the same in the neighboring nations such as Nepal and Bangladesh.
16322  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are people scared of taxes? on: January 04, 2018, 05:06:59 AM
One word. Greed. They don't want to give up their gains. The housing market crashed because a lot of people didn't want to be taxed and they kept reinvesting and they couldn't even afford what they were buying in the first place. I think holding to pay less is okay but not to get rid of completely.

Hmm.. you are probably living on welfare benefits and may not have worked for a living ever in your life. With regards to the taxes, we don't have a problem in paying them as long as they meet certain conditions. These are:

1. Everyone must pay the taxes
2. The tax rates must be affordable

As long as these conditions are not met, I would advice people against paying any taxes.
16323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: January 04, 2018, 04:55:15 AM
Personally, I'd say the death penalty isn't very effective. Murder rates are higher in states with death penalty...

Do you have any proof for that? Most of the cities with the highest homicide rates in the world doesn't have the death penalty (Caracas, Acapulco, San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa.etc). And there can be another argument regarding it. I would say that countries with the higher homicide rates usually go for the death penalty, in an attempt to reduce the crime rate.
16324  Other / Politics & Society / Re: indonesia on: January 04, 2018, 04:52:37 AM
and aren't the streets of paris also full of dog poops?

Actually, no, they aren't... don't know where you got that one from.

You guys have probably never seen the Indian streets. I am not saying about major national highways and main roads, but about smaller streets connecting the outskirts to the cities. It is a horrible sight. The worst thing is guys defecating in the open by the side of the road. They don't even have the decency to go to the bushes and cover up.
16325  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Working Abroad is a lot of sacrifice. on: January 04, 2018, 04:48:37 AM
Its a sacrifice that not all people can understand.

I can understand it. Because I am residing many thousands of kilometers away from the city in which I was born. I hardly visit my hometown once every 3-4 years and as a result I have lost contact with a great many of my distant relatives and friends. And as you said, don't expect everyone to understand all this.
16326  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the reasons to support war? on: January 04, 2018, 04:44:11 AM
If a  group or country like N. Korea is huge threat for everyone.

For my part, I don't think that North Korea is a threat to anyone, unless some other country is going to invade the DPRK. Till now, they haven't engaged in physically attacking any other nation and Kim Jong Un was very positive when he gave that new year speech. He was very friendly towards South Korea during the speech and I hope that the momentum will continue in the near future.
16327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your take on homosexuality? on: January 04, 2018, 04:41:48 AM
It is natural. Two male slugs can reproduce in nature. How about that?

How does that matters for us? We are not slugs, but humans. And reproduction will happen only if a female is banged by a male. If two males or two females are banging each other, then there will be no reproduction (unless they get help from the opposite sex in the form of egg/sperm donation and surrogacy).
16328  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does a college degree still matter in the digital age? on: January 04, 2018, 04:38:23 AM
I am working in the ITES industry, and I can tell you that a college degree is one of the vary basic requirements in landing an IT job. If you don't have a college degree, then hardly anyone would hire you even if you are very good in programming and coding. But it is not very hard. Even if you are a college dropout, you can join the correspondence courses and get a degree.
16329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you going to pay taxes? on: January 04, 2018, 04:34:39 AM
Else, you may be arrested for tax evasion, sent to prison and all of your wealth may be confiscated.
Crypto assets cannot be confiscated if private key (wallet file) encrypted and stored safely in the cloud.

There will be no taxation as long as you are not converting your coins to cash. So there is no need to hide your coin holdings. But once you trade your coins to fiat, then you may be required to pay taxes, which can range from 13% to 60% of the total amount, depending on the jurisdiction and duration of holdings.
16330  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: January 03, 2018, 05:57:22 PM
This is really weird, i think for those who are not gay/lesbian, they would not want have such a marriage.

I am not a gay or lesbian, and yet I don't have any problem if they marry each other. But I do have a problem if they want the government to recognize their marriages, and to pay welfare handouts. Government recognition must be limited to heterosexual marriages.
16331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2018, 11:51:15 AM
Don't wait for too long, but at the same time you should be cautious. Because the market dominance of Bitcoin is now down to 36%. This is the all time low since the creation of the crypto-currency in 2009. The other alts are growing at the expense of Bitcoin. Just wait for a few days to see whether Bitcoin will survive the competition or not.
16332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saved my year on: January 03, 2018, 11:48:48 AM
LOL.. Bitcoin funded my year-end vacations and I am really grateful to the crypto-currency. For the first time, my family could afford to take a vacation in Goa, staying there and enjoying the beaches for 8 days. It was an unforgettable experience. But even during the vacation, I was making posts in this forum regularly.  Tongue
16333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees problem on: January 03, 2018, 11:43:30 AM
The amount of people cashing out is probably the root of casusing the high transaction fees. When you look at the price of bitcoin was sky high a lot of people wanted to sell and therefore the transaction fees needed to go higher due to these extra demands.

So what do you suggest? We should not move our coins? The vast majority of the transactions will be users moving their coins from one wallet to another, either for trading or for investment in altcoins. There are around 200,000 transactions happening every day. You can't say that all of them are made by individuals dumping their coins for fiat.
16334  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: January 03, 2018, 08:19:42 AM
I think everyone can choose his eating habit like he wants as long as he doesn't bother other people with that.

That is not always the case. In my city, there are certain housing societies where you will get admission only if you certify that you are a vegetarian. If they find out that you are a non-vegetarian, then they will kick you out immediately. And in some cities, the authorities have banned non-vegetarian food in the restaurants. In my city, non-veg food is not banned as such, but its "display" is banned.
16335  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can terrorism be stopped on: January 03, 2018, 08:12:39 AM
If you want to stop the incidents of terrorism, then you need to look in to the root causes. A lot many of the terrorist outfits are formed as a result of the religious brainwashing, such as the ISIS and the Al Qaeda. But there are also some outfits, whose cause can be justified. A few examples of such organizations are the ETA (Spain) and ELN (Colombia). These organizations were formed to fight social, ethnic or religious discrimination.
16336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: January 03, 2018, 08:10:38 AM
In Sri Lanka the particular marriages are not legal. According to the culture and nature they cannot be justified because the reproduction system and spreading of the human beings depends on the relationships between opposite sex. Therefore these marriages needs to be demotivated. But when it is considered on behalf of that type of individuals there may have fair reasons for  justification.

I don't think that same-sex marriages are legal in any of the Asian nations. Please check this:

In Africa also, there is only one country which has legalized same sex marriage (South Africa). It is mostly in the Americas and the European Union, where the gay marriages enjoy legal recognition.
16337  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War on: January 03, 2018, 08:07:08 AM
well first of all war is profitable, that's why we still have it. the only thing more profitable than war is peace. but peace has rules. you shuld try hard to earn and live in peace. but during the war, you can always steal because there is no law. in short, that is it. THere will always be warmongers who want to profit from someone else's hard work.

War is profitable, because in most of the western nations, the defense industry is controlled by the private corporations. I am not just talking about the weapons manufacturers (Boeing, Raytheon.etc), but also about the private security contractors (DynCorp, Blackwater.etc). During the Iraq war, the private security contractors were earning up to $1,000 per day.
16338  Other / Politics & Society / Re: do you think that corruption can be deleted totally in your country? on: January 03, 2018, 08:00:50 AM
I'm sure corruption can be curbed in my country, but it will take a long time and lots of resources. First we will need to remove corrupt politicians and then work our way down to small time corrupt people in government services.

You are right. The cull needs to be started from the top. Rather than targeting the lower-rung officials, we should go after the elected officials who are engaging in high-level corruption. If the most powerful are punished, then the lower-rung officials will realize that no one is safe from prosecution and most of them would stop taking bribes by default.
16339  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you care if Billions of people need help? on: January 03, 2018, 07:57:28 AM
You can only help people who are willing to be helped. Also, my policy is to never help lazy people and welfare rats. Because IMO, laziness should never be rewarded. If you want to help poor people, then you can give them some work or teach them new skills. On the other hand, if you give them handouts of cash or food, then they will remain in the same state forever.
16340  Other / Politics & Society / Re: End of the World on: January 03, 2018, 07:47:39 AM
some day world will be end do the technology

What do you mean by world? If you mean the existence of the human species, then it is possible that in the distant future advances in technology may cause the complete extermination. On the other hand, if you are talking about the planet then I have to tell you that it will remain as it is, at least for the next 1 billion years.
