A few shipped before the company got shut down. I have a couple and would be willing to sell them for $500 each if anyone was interested in owning this piece of Bitcoin mining fail history. OGNasty, if you knockoff one of the O's from your price deal ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) it's a shame these cards were delayed to the point of making them vapor. i feel bad for those that got duped into paying a couple of grand for them. BFL josh/jody/and whoever else i neglected need a good pummeling They're still quite profitable and the quietest miners out as well as nice little space heaters. I'm not entertaining offers, just saying what I would accept. I agree they are overpriced.

Would you be able to create a Windows app? If not, this app has a really nice design, keep up the good work!
No. It's written in Objective-C so the only other system I would be able to compile it for would be OS X.

Thanks.
Do you have any underclocking instructions?
Similar to S1-3?
You login and go to 'Miner Configuration' -> 'Advanced Settings' then turn down the frequency. It's that simple. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Despite everything going on with bitcoin, I'm still bullish on the tech overall.
I just got my first 3 SP20 boxes running at home, running 3 of them off of a pair of EVGA 1300G2 PSUs. Once everything is stable I'll be moving them to a datacenter where I can leech free power in exchange for some network design I did for a client of mine.
Stock they came with 2.5.31 firmware, is there any reason to update the firmware from where its at, and if so, what's the best current stable firmware?
Thanks!
The only noticeable difference to me in the newer firmware is the ability to turn the fan down below 40% to make it much quieter. That being said, it only takes a minute to update so you might as well.

Not necessarily. I show them as trusted due to the link I mentioned above. I believe anyone using the default Trust depth setting of 2 will show them as trusted. EDIT: I dropped a line to philipma1957 asking if he would consider removing his trust rating for DyslexicZombei in an attempt to resolve this trust situation. EDIT 2: philipma1957 was kind enough to remove his trust rating for DyslexicZombei and now BA's trust is showing negative.

Why bother advertising the scum bags that are bfl! I suppose it shows how wank their product is and it costs twice the price haha.
I don't trust nasty as far as I could spit, he sticks up for bfl far too much.
I'm not sticking up for BFL in any way. I have Monarchs, so I posted the data in comparison. The data shows that Monarchs are inefficient and overpriced compared to their competitors. BFL owes me a ton of money and screwed me royally. Don't confuse me owning a Monarch and posting the data for people to be able to access from a trusted 3rd party with me sticking up for BFL. I will never send BFL or any organization that conspires with them a single cent of mine for as long as I live. I advise that everyone else do the same. How is that sticking up for BFL? Bitmain on the other hand has proven once again they are able to produce and ship a top tier product without pre-orders. Kudos to them.

I've recently got into Bitcoin and I really like it. I can see its benefits for everyone. I use it for purchases when available, but I am also trying to find a good way to invest. I'm not interested in cloud mining. Any suggestions?
I get the most enjoyment from investing my Bitcoin in projects that allow me to participate in their growth by buying their products or using their services. I currently hold Asicminer shares and NastyFans seats. While I'm obviously biased towards NastyFans, I am impressed by the evolution of friedcat's creation. If Bitcoin is truly successful, it will be great to look back and feel like I participated in some of the early stages of these projects. Sort of the same reason why I collect Casascius Coins and other various Bitcoin goods that I feel have staying power.

Cool app. I like command lines but I think this was definitely needed. Great to see the vanitygen project get a facelift after such a long period without any real development. (I haven't viewed the source)

I always felt the market cap should include all 21 million BTC and not just what is in play. That being said, when I look at Bitcoin as if it were a publicly traded company, I have a hard time believing something with such disruptive potential could trade with a market cap as low as it currently is. I think that an upper target of $2,000 per BTC is not out of the realm of possibility within the next 2 years. I also believe we may retest $200 first, and with enough negativity possibly even down to $80. Will we see a swing down to $80 and then to $2,000? Probably not, but I would be surprised if we broke above $2K or below $80 without either a country accepting BTC for tax debts, or the blockchain becoming compromised. We're definitely closer to the bottom than the top at this stage.

Does anyone know why the sp20 restarts cgminer every couple of days? I loose my dynamically added pool information when this happens..also my stats. (best share, number of shares, etc)
Mine does because of the "Restart miner if rate falls below" option. I was noticing at first that the SP20 would fall to about 1/2 it's hashrate after a day or so. I set that to restart it if it falls below 850GH/s and now it restarts on it's own every day or two. I actually think it's a great feature, but you may want to try turning that off and seeing if it is the cause. If it were me, I'd look into making your pool information static, as that seems like a better fix than having to manually restart your SP20 if the hashrate drops.

NastyChat?
The feedback we had was to have it on a Saturday and I was unavailable yesterday. I am thinking we will do it next Saturday. I'm still open to feedback on a time. I was also hoping our Antminer S5 would have arrived by now, but it looks like I will not be able to pick it up until tomorrow evening. I did receive an Antminer S5 review unit from Bitmain, and just published my review here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914278.0The NastyFans iOS App has been updated to v1.3 and contains quite a few new Nasty links. It is available now for free in Apple's App Store. Version 2.0 with the ability to check the Bitcoin and NastyFans prices from your iOS Today View is still under development, as I've been having some difficulties working out the bugs.

Bitmain Antminer S5Disclaimer: I was given this unit in exchange for my honest review. P2Pool was used for hashrate testing. My S5 was delivered by UPS and required a signature. It was held in place with foam inserts and while it did get the job done, the case on the S5 is made of a thin plastic and only covers the sides leaving some parts exposed, which worried me a bit. However, no damage was done so I was satisfied with the packing job. Setting up this miner was pretty easy. While there is no url link to find the miner's ip like with Spondoolies, I did notice that the S5 accepts any pcie cable, and not just pcie cables with a centered clip on the back (the SP20 wouldn't take my 6+2pin pcie cables because the clip on the back isn't centered). After your cables are plugged in, you power it on and hear the fan spin up and down a few times before it is ready to go. The miner starts up fairly loud and doesn't have an adjustable fan setting, which may not make it ideal for home miners. The interface gets the job done and once I got familiar with all the settings I was more than satisfied with it. I wanted to get settings near what you would expect from an SP20 for this test, so I decided to test it at stock levels. It should be noted that the S5 is easily underclocked and has the ability to beat the SP20 on efficiency with the proper settings. Using the default frequency of 350M my S5 was able to get 1.13TH/s while using 661 watts (0.58W/GH) and exhausting 122 degree heat. A frequency setting of 325M yielded 1.05TH/s while using 563 watts (0.53W/GH). ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2024%2F01%2F11%2F3QKbl.png&t=663&c=L_SmW_PzGijpCQ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2024%2F01%2F11%2F3QpS1.jpeg&t=663&c=zU5c_aO8AqDyyg) Overall I would say this is a great miner and definitely competitive. It's lower price tag than the SP20 makes it a good option for large scale mining operations, the budget miner that can deal with noise, or someone who wants to tinker with it and optimize the sound/efficiency levels. The interface gets the job done and is simple enough that I think anyone could figure it out without needing a guide. In conclusion, the Antminer S5 is a top tier miner. It's cheaper & cooler than it's closest counterpart (SP20) and is available to ship from stock for as low as $480 on amazon.com. I am definitely grateful to Bitmain for the opportunity to review this product and I will keep my eye on their offerings in the future. If you are searching for a cheap, competitive mining product with lots of customization opportunities, you can't go wrong with the S5 from Bitmain. I even purchased an additional unit for my mining operation at retail price and was happy to do so.

The positive trust rating Black Arrow has stems from a trust rating left by DyslexicZombei who is in the trusted network because philipma1957 is on the default trust list and left him positive trust. Interestingly enough, the trust ratings are all you need to look at to determine who got rich from this scam... DyslexicZombei hasn't logged into the forum for quite some time but pointed out the culprits before his departure. This partnership has worked out very well for BA, bobsag3, and for the DZ MC. We are doing business with Minersource and they are a trustworthy partner. EDIT: What was DyslexicZombei's last post before seemingly leaving these forums? Well, a post saying he lost a bunch of other people's DRK and then asking for money of course... Thank you all for trusting me with your DRK...I still feel awful that I can't seem to get the funds back from Node 1 and 3.

What has been the average payment for 1 seat in the past couple months? How often are payments? There is an online analyzer built by naypalm with all sorts of info on the coins. http://nastyfans.uberbills.com
