WELL no one has said scott has taken coin/money and not delivered gear.

Biffa and I both got gear from him,

I do not know details of biffa's purchases. from scott

but I do know my details and

1st deal I liked the s17 pro 53th  was pretty smooth.
2nd deal was meh the t17 40th had issues  we came to an agreement that is good enough for me to agree to.

These are small deals and paypal backed.

Scott has multiple deals listed for more then 100k.

I repeat  100k deals need a lot of vetting. my two deals would not be enough vetting for me to say get 100k in gear with a btc payment.

So if you are a bigger player and want to  got to telegram and do a 100k plus deal it is on you good luck.

My point is not about scott so I am going to lock the thread as I am interested in 1 post 2 post people in this thread.
16382  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FOR SALE BITMAIN ANTMINER S17 (56 TH/S) $1400.00 USD on: July 25, 2019, 02:13:36 AM
I would have nothing to do with this.  Waste of time.

16383  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: To all newbies posting here. A simple request. on: July 24, 2019, 11:12:24 PM
I am against a 1 post wonder with a locked thread.

Saying send me an email to "yousucker.com"

Or a telegram to  "Iwilltakeyourmoneyfool"

However:
An established seller needs some protection.  I self mod when I sell I don't lock my thread much.

Scott's done multiple deals.

I think he is okay now my deals with him were 2250 and 1880

if you are doing 50k 100k 200k buyers should do a lot of vetting.

As I said more then one person has asked about larger deals from brokers.
I always say be careful.
16384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: July 24, 2019, 06:39:59 PM
basically I can't lose money if I don't buy the over priced gear.

If I buy the over priced gear I could lose out..

So the 19-22 s9's

and the 25 l3+ will mine on.

I may buy a third whatsminer 20s they have been  good to me.

my t17 was 1880
my s17 pro 53th was 2250

so 4130 for 93th

if I had purchased them on 7 day deal  I would be at 7000 maybe 8500 with trump tax.

8500 usd I get 46.5 th  for free with my power deal so 46.5 x 0.00002777 = 0.0012913 btc a day x 9500 = 12.26 ssd a day or a 693 day roi  that is too long.
16385  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 Beagle Black controller physical mod questions. on: July 24, 2019, 04:56:54 PM
By Jove yer right. Post deleted. I just looked at some of the s9's I have off line, 1 is a batch-1 another is batch-3 and it looks like BM used the BeagleBone up to at least batch-3.

In that case it just becomes a matter of the impact of additional coms will have on the performance of the controller. As with the Avalons pretty sure there will be a point of diminishing returns as miners are added to the controller.

When I did six with the s7  controller  it did 8.9 to 9.1 th

when I ran  three with the s7 controller it did 4.6 and 4.7  or 9.3

but those were my first 2 s7's  and one was unreal  way better then the other.

So I suspect  when are six boards were in play  the gear dropped to the lower quality 3 board hash level.

If you programmed with brains  six board could all have different levels.  would be a nice project.

@ op

I will be sending you this psu to run it

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FusionSilicon-X7-Miner-Power-Supply-2400-Watt-Delta-200-240V-PSU-Platinum-Rated/233180745188?
16386  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 Beagle Black controller physical mod questions. on: July 24, 2019, 03:16:53 PM
Test and see if it reads all four boards as it used to do so.

The problem may be if you get six vs four the software needs changing.

The s-7 controller had six possible connections for board and I did get one control to do six boards.

As the s7 firmware on the board do allow six boards.

S9s have so much different firmware I don’t know if any would work.

That board would not let me flash newer firmware to it.

It has like batch 4 firmware upgrade done in say August 2016.
16387  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 Beagle Black controller physical mod questions. on: July 24, 2019, 03:08:44 PM
Um, unless BM has radically changed things, the BeagleBone was used only on the S5 & S7 miners. As such, no it cannot run anything from S9 on up as it is an entirely different controller and embedded operating system. The s9 has always used either Xylinx or Altera SoC controllers.

It is the batch 1 s9 controller it has two pieces and will run s9 hash boards.

I have one more left and it does work on s9s.

It is circa April 2016 or May 2016

It was mining s9 boards as late as May 2019.
16388  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: July 24, 2019, 01:54:53 PM
A lot of the gear sold out.
only these 2 left

t17 40 th for nov  1958
https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020190723112644806vA2EK13s0648

s17 53 th for nov 2735
https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020190723112227658LC9C6qfh067A

tack on 642 for shipping and trump tax the t17 40 th is 2600

tack on 865 for shipping and trump tax the s17 53 th is 3600

plus wait till nov.

there is an up side  to the nov units for a USA buyer trump tax could end or lower by nov.

making them a lower price.

I have  enough gear for today.  I will mine on.

there was a video of few + rx5700 doing ~1600-1700 and you say the same for one without screens not info, and just troll

thats my 5700

Looks pretty good.

How much power?

My Vega 56 do 1800 each but are fairly power hungry.
16391  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain gears will be available on their website in a few hours (24-7-2019) on: July 24, 2019, 03:29:13 AM
If these sell out as fast as they have in the past at these prices, then people are fomoing over gear. No logic to jumping in on these items at that price. Really just set the bar for career resellers when they receive their July August batches.

It is tempting to sell everything.

It’s just about all paid for.

I could get over 50k

But I am a miner.

I am up to 835+55= 890th btc

And

11gh + .2 = 11.2 gh ltc.

Would have preferred flat diff and flat price longer then oct 2018 to April 2019.

But it is what it is.

I clear 265th for me with about 150usd  power cost

I clear 2.95 gh ltc for me with about 30 usd power cost.    So  I am doing well.

2400 usd monthly net.
16392  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What is more profitable , mining bitcoin or buying bitcoin? on: July 24, 2019, 02:23:43 AM
Sideways mining =$$$     you only need  a good power deal since :

diff is flat
price is flat
profit is flat

This tends to make good prices for used gear. Most of the s9's I purchased in Dec and Jan were under 250usd with psu included.

I saw it coming last Oct  and really did well with my business plan.
Right now we could be shifting to a down turn.
Which is indicated by bitmain's decision to stop selling to brokers and open the sales  at a stiff premium.

With
830th btc
11gh ltc

and a 50 50 coin spilt I will be netting 130 usd a day.  It would be nice if diff stays good for a while.
I may add a third m20s. We have to wait and see.

I am getting old simply can't remember shit.

So I had an old bminer 14.0  and fork killed it off.

I loaded bminer 15.7.2  and I get rejected shares.

I am remote to these rigs.  So 15.7.2 does not work.

If you ever want to go back to bminer 15.7.2, I got the same (rejected shares), but the solution is simple:
make sure that you specified cuckaroo29d instead of cuckaroo29 (note extra "d") in your bminer string.
After that it worked fine (no rejected shares).

thank you  I will try it later today and get back to this thread.

At BogdanCo  I may also give that a go. Later tonight.

To bad as it was a very good deal for my order and gear is not ready.

Lets see how long it takes for them to get one put together. Grin

I told them I would wait for it to come in.

Sale is cancelled so no review. Oh well.  I wish they told me they where going to back order this last week.  they waited until today. I asked them what was up the did not answer until today.  Thus While I waited for their answer.  NewEgg sold out and so did all other stores so cyberpower pc pretty much ended my ryzen upgrade plans.

I now have this part

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-force-series-2tb-internal-pci-express-4-0-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-with-garbage-collection-technology/6356723.p?skuId=6356723

which will only work in a x570 motherboard.

There is a miner called nbminer-nebutech that seems to be quite popular too. Maybe this miner can do NH.

Its cool I am happy with f2pool
