New Zealand should score more than 250 runs. They are playing slow. Not sure if this is the pitch but one have to say that English bowlers are bowling very well. My hope for sharing the first place is still alive :-) Okay here I see an issue, I need feedback: More than one winner in the same category share the prize equally.
How are you guys translating it? I am asking because we have very good chance to see three members may have the same points for the first place if New Zealand wins. How do we share the price then: ~ Add the prize for 1 to 3 and then divide them by three for the top three? ~ Divide the prize of first place only by three? In this case we will see more people in the winning list and will share the prize. We may also see 1st place users were getting less prize amount than 2nd or even third place holder :-P Sorry, I never thought that we will have that close competition which will need more clear terms. No disrespect to the New Zealand team but this team is very much dependable on Kane Williamson. With him this is an average team and without him this is a below average team. I remember when Sri Lanka was world champion, they continued the legacy for the next several years. They were very tough team. Kane Williamson has only made 30 in the final match and faced 54 balls. He did not get the chance to recover the run rate. Now there is a lot of responsibility on Ross Taylor if NZ were to make a decent score here. Nicholls also need to make to a big score to keep NZ in the game. |

I have a feeling that Martin Guptil will be destructive today. He was totally in off form during this ICC and he will take revenge of all of them If NZ can score 280+, it will be pretty fighting score, as like JSRAW said, chasing in a world cup will be more pressure and chance that NZ will lift the cup(if score is 280+) Remember it is a world cup final and there will be immense pressure on the other team if they managed to score above 250. I am hoping for NZ to make only 250 and rest i am sure that their bowlers will restrict England. By the way NZ has got a good start and with more wickets in hand, they can take the upper hand later in the innings. |

I would love to see if Royse make another pool on Ashes and all the upcoming major cricket tournaments. Even the pool without prize money will be ok. Really we have developed a nice little community here and it is really nice to see all of us contributing and throwing insights on the cricket matches. If it would be a regular match then Bhomra had two overs left and it would be very hard for New Zealand to score from his overs. DLS also sucks it's no where perfect in my opinion.
It is a tough spot as rain has played a major role in this tournament and if New Zealand would have played India in the league stages and if India defeated them Pakistan would have being in the semi finals instead of New Zealand and i never understood the DLS method till now and if India have to chase 237 runs and with the wet ground it will be difficult for the batsmen to score easily and it is not a fair situation and there is no other alternative situation to figure out in these situations is a bummer. It seems to me that such situations happen in different sports and they are really unfair. It seems to me that in some cases you need to change the rules to take into account weather conditions. We are watching the competition teams, and not on the actions of people in extreme conditions. World Cup rules were made before the start of the world cup and they are same for all the teams. If we change the rules from match to match, then it will be more unfair for one team to another. We need to accept and live with the already defined rules. |

We now know who will play who in the knockout stage, India v New Zealand and Australia v England. India got the match they wanted as I don't think they wanted to play England again even though that match looked shady to me. Both semi-finals are going to be great to see, will we see the two teams that have never won a World Cup make the final in England and New Zealand? That is a possibility and would be nice to see a different team win for once.
How d you know as India do not wanted to play against England just because they have lost it to them. Also understand that in group stage the India vs NZ did not happened which means that India still have to be vary of this team as they have never met and not playing against them directly in semi final is never going to be easy. What I know is the ground where England is playing their semi-final is their favourite game and they didn't lose many matches they played recently over there. That may be the reason India or any other team want to avoid playing against the home team to reduce their risks. But it all depends on how many points they get but luckily India has finished on top of the points table so they just avoided the home team but that doesn't mean the NZ is easy to go. NZ seems to be the weakest team who have managed to make it to the semi as compared to other three team. But India cannot take them for granted as they have all good players in their team and if they clicked together, they might be able to upset India who looks like to be the hot favorites to win this cup. |

There is another easy one tomorrow : COPA AMERICA - BRAZIL VS PERU 1.06 for Brazil LOL It's a small odd... 6%. Do you think the Risk/Reward ratio worths it? I don't know. It can go either way though Brazil will most likely win even if there is no guarantee. I got burnt by betting on Egypt which was a shocker. Egypt literally won so many of their recent matches and this seriously shocked me. The recent Chile defeat also burnt me badly. Invest only what you are willing to lose. Don't bet a huge amount and expect Brazil to pull through. So many upsets in this tournament already. Its hard to be sure of who will win the football matches especially the knockout ones. I do not see any reason to risk big amount on Brazil for only 1.06 odd. That's very low percentage because if you lose, you will lose all money but in case of win the profit will be only 0.06%. |

That was another humiliating defeat for Sri Lanka on their last match. Meanwhile South Africa has put an impressive score against Australia and Australians seems to be struggling to chase that. If Australia to lose that, India would meet New Zealand in the semis. We'd be testing the abandoned match here. And New Zealand generally have been impressive against India.

Pakistan is near to win the match against Bangladesh. So the last match also is lossing By BD. But In this world Cup Shakib proved himself. Actually playing alone nobody can win all match. Shakib is now like Messi on Argentina, Cristiano Ronaldo on Portugal.

A sweet win for Sri Lanka. It was suppose to be an easy win for them but Pooran and Allen were the man who turned the table in style and was nearly taking away the match from Sri Lanka. Bad luck that Allen had to go by an unfortunate run out, bad luck that Pooran was caught behind by an occasional bowler. WI lost but they did not let it happen easily like India did yesterday. They fought until the end with their last recognize batsmen.
