Significant win by England. Didn't expect such poor performance from Australia. Smith and Carey had tried their best. It's good to see new winner in the tournament though. England deserves it mostly because they are in best form along with the support of being host country.

This is the advantage with New Zealand. They are the underdogs and everyone takes them lightly. The same thing happened during the first semi-final, and as a result they were able to upset India. Here also, everyone expects England to win the finals and nobody thinks that NZ has a realistic chance. It looks to me that we'll be having another upset on Sunday.

I see new Zealand as winner for this time because they are fielding at their best which made them to reach their final as well as England but for me the though raises that NZ will be lifting this time.

Really don't understand, how anyone can think about conspiracy in sports too. Lol and that's in whole world cup level.
If pakistan did won against West Indies, Pakistan was playing against India not NewZealand, but these guys just require excuse for  blaming others.

No one can't do much about it when accusers are Braindead or have limited and selective knowledge of betting history in cricketing World or how it operates in a different part of the world. A small percentage of the group thinks that PCB and BCCI work in the same manner.

I am not naive who thinks that betting does not have some angle in cricket (T-20 leagues are a great example), but the recent allegations are ridiculous and only based on hate, Only to feel happy about themselves. I feel sorry for them because they are giving a bad name to their legends and sane people as well.

Not sure if its good idea or not, to have multiple threads for every bilateral series. We already have one dedicated thread for this.

But in case we are betting for fun then, I suggest one extra dedicated thread for all betting - it can be for bilateral series as well - 

I understand it can get confusing for us after 4-5 series, but we can tackle this situation if OP reserve couple of pages for pool's descriptions and move pool details at last when it serves its purpose.

PS : It's Just a suggestion, let other members chip in too. Maybe we can come on the same page after the discussion.

The rain gods have helped the dark horse against their match with India and rain interrupted most of the group stage matches and if every match was played i really doubt whether New Zealand would be in the semi finals considering Pakistan had same points even though they shared points for two matches and one would have being a certain victory against Srilanka.
This is the best team England ever had and if they cannot lift the world cup this time they will never get another chance  .

I supported India but they can not qualified for Final. So I will not support any specific team but Pray for a Incredible match where there will no rain issues,  no one sided match So that people atlast enjoy on the Last/final match.

That is true. Rain has definitely been a critical factor in helping New Zealand in so many ways. I feel that India could have easily chased down 240 if they continued playing on the 1st day itself.

England have lost twice in the finals so far, but this could be their 3rd successive loss unless they play really well against the dark horse of this tournament. Exciting.

Majority of the people will be favoring England for the final but you will be taking risk for the number 1 spot  by selecting New zealand as a winner. If you choose England and England wins, then you cannot attain the No. 1 position, so i think its better you opt for other choice and hope for a upset in the final.

On paper at least, England is the favorite. Their team balance is much better than that of New Zealand. Both the bowlers and the batsmen are in top form. But for New Zealand they are still facing issues with batting. But then again, the team batting first will be having an unfair advantage. So in my opinion, if NZ wins the toss and decides to bat first, then they may be having a fighting chance.

Well said. We are going to witness the rise of a new champion as Australia passes the trophy to England or New Zealand, but expecting England to win just because they are a stronger team is a fool's gambit.

Another upset can happen and New Zealand can rise. The team that barely qualified could end up becoming the new World champion. Exciting times!

Well, will it not be difficult to create pool for every series. India will also be having series with WI and Australia will play Ashes with England too.
To simply the things we can make pool for the tri-series involving at least 3 countries. What do you people say about it ?  The Exception can be given to the Ashes series or  India Visit to Aussie etc ( Major Series).

Cricket is a game which is played only in few countries and all the big cricket playing nations should have the experience of winning the world cup.  England, NZ and South Africa are the three big teams who are yet to win this title.  After that it might be the turn for Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
