1641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2024 halving less than 1 year away on: June 03, 2023, 10:17:46 AM
The potential for Bull Run and makes a new ATH very large in 2024 when Halving occurs, as we know that Halving will make many people panic to buy because the mining amount is reduced by 50%, this will make an increase in demand and automatically increase in significant price increases .
And that's how many of them will keep on panicking if they do that approach when the halving occurred already.

The same approach being done time and time again, they don't do it when the market is on a bearish term and will just have to do it when there's already the action.

Not a good strategy that's proven for so many years as they might caught up on the ATH and that might be the time that they'll start buying instead of when it's low.
It is a bad strategy but it is one that will always be used by those which are not very competent investors, after all what they are looking is for a sure thing, they want to buy an asset and be completely sure they will earn money, so they delay their entry for as long as possible, not realizing this attitude is precisely what it will prevent them to reach the success they are looking for, as if they bought bitcoin when it was cheap and they were willing to hold their coins during the turbulent times, then the profits they could get would be immense, unfortunately they are unable to look at things from this perspective, which is why they refuse implement a strategy like this.

It's a bad strategy, and I think the idea comes from people who want to get rich quickly. Maybe they will make a small profit, but they can also lose a lot if they invest according to that strategy. But that has nothing to do with us, the real investors. On the contrary, we should thank them because they contributed to the excitement of the market at that time, or maybe they were the liquidity for us to take profits. The marketplace is a battleground, so we should focus on our investments, not bothering about what others think and do.
1642  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC/LTC pair. Buying LTC Halving on: June 03, 2023, 10:02:24 AM
I'm trying to find a way to duplicate my BTC before the halving without incurring in high risk...

If someone has any way to double their bitcoin without risk, I don't think they will be willing to share it with you, they will take advantage to do it for themselves. But I can assure you, there is no way to do it. There's no way you can double your money without any risk, you're getting too greedy, my friend. If you do not give up this intention, you will soon be caught in the spiral of greed, like to get rich quickly, and you will pay the price with your own bitcoins. Crypto is not a get-rich-quick market without risk.
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: June 03, 2023, 09:51:22 AM
My take on bitcoin in 2023 by the way it bought and was pumping pumping and pumping was like it will never stop. I thought it was my year to make my money and keep much of Bitcoin in my wallet. But the dullness of over 2 months has changed my mind. The scenario poured coldness in my mind but again let me know that bitcoin behaves like an asset and asset has the time to buy and sell not the way I thought it will always be be buying.

I have waited for the price to reach $25k for me to start pumping my money, it never reach there. I grows impatient daily, I won't wait more than 1st of July, any price I see it is what I buy.

I don't like to sound desperate, do I sound desperate or determine to make money?

Bitcoin HODLing for years can not be a lost affair.

I thought you could have gotten lower than that in december last year but you missed it, if you are sure it won't be lower than 25k-20k then your chance to buy is now.
Pay attention to market movements, will bitcoin continue to fall this year?
I don't think Bitcoin will drop from $20k anymore because for the past few months the price of Bitcoin has been above $20k and even reached $30k,
and yes now it has corrected to $27k and is still within reasonable limits, I hope we don't miss the opportunity to buy Bitcoin at a price below $30k,
because the whales also want to accumulate as many Bitcoins as possible.

Nothing is certain with this market, even though bitcoin hasn't broken $20k over the past several months, that doesn't mean the rest of the year won't happen. We're still pretty far from halving, the world economy hasn't improved yet...things are still terrible, so anything can happen. One more thing, if you believe in history, a drop below $20k is still possible, don't be subjective that $20k will be unbreakable. I will always be cautious until the halving happens, I will never believe in any bitcoin predictions in a turbulent economy, as the unexpected will most likely continue to happen.
1644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just how bad is the bear demand right now on: June 02, 2023, 09:24:03 AM
since playing crypto I have felt 2x bullish and 2x bearish, the first in 2017 and the second in 2021. but for me last year's bearish was much better than in 2018, why is that? bitcoin low price in bearish last year was around $17k and low bitcoin price in bearish 2018 was around $3500 (i kinda forgot).
besides that last year's market conditions also recovered slightly faster than in 2018.

You can't compare like that, we have ATH in bull season 2018 is only $20k but ATH in bull season 2021 is $68k. So you can't say that 2018 was worse than the bear season 2021, although you are correct that 2018 was actually worse than this year's bear season. Moreover, it is considered worse because 2018 was the first bear season for many people, and they were shocked when they first saw that sharp decline. As for this year's bear season, those who have experienced the previous bear season have prepared, so they feel quite light. I even feel that bear season is desirable because, after profit taking, we need to buy bitcoin at a lower price, and the bear season is that golden time.
1645  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: June 02, 2023, 09:05:05 AM
Everyone is targetting the next year halving and we believe to see more coming through this on bitcoin price, since we have $68,000 as the all time high ever, there's more possibility that during the next halving in the year 2024, there will be more opportunities for the crypto market to rise higher about the ATH and many have even predicted that bitcoin is going far above $100,000 this time around, this calls for more investor to choose and hold bitcoin on or before this season for their maximum profitability on investment made because bullrun is certain.

With a lot of speculation and economic information that has been popping up lately, there are high hopes that Bitcoin will definitely reach a new ATH after next year's halving. The bull run might not really start by next year, in particular after the halving, but I think it could be 2025. Because according to the last Bitcoin halving, which took place in 2020, the price did not really get bullish after that; it was almost a year later (2021) before the price really got bullish, although it may be due to the COVID-19 pandemic that also prevented the price from performing so well in 2020 after the halving. If history repeats itself again, not based on any sort of pandemic, war, or bad economic incident, if the price takes from the last movement, it might not give a new ATH next year, but I am also very positive that the next bull run of Bitcoin will be to reach $100k, either next year or uper.

Yes, many people are still confused about this. The bull season will only really come a year after the halving, not immediately after. So the predictions and expectations for ATH in 2024 are not entirely accurate. Not to mention we still don't know the exact halving date because that depends on the miners' mining speed of the miners, it could be earlier or later than expected. And if we believe in a 4-year cycle, then 2025 is the right time to end the old cycle and start a new one, not 2024.
1646  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 02, 2023, 08:35:00 AM
I rely on the world economic situation to make my prediction, the Fed is still not clear on whether to continue raising interest rates or stop, so the market in June will depend on the decision of the Fed. If they announce a halt to rate hikes, that would be good news for us to hit our target of $30k or more this month. But if they continue to raise rates, the market is unlikely to perform any better.
For my part, I like the bear market, I don't expect the bitcoin price to go up that fast, and I will only think of a bitcoin price increase as we enter Q2 2024, meaning after the halving takes place.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 01, 2023, 08:38:00 PM
I read a report from football transfer earlier says that Brighton are confident that Arsenal will pay Moisés Caicedo’s transfer fee, they are quoting 75m for him, max 80m. Caicedo looking like the obvious option now, I knew it was about Brighton's unwillingness to sell in the winter & not necessarily money. I suspect they needed him to achieve what they did and then they would be willing to let him leave. As it stands, Chelsea are also looking at him but he has stated he wants a club in the champions league, but let’s watch.

Well, we can say for sure that he is not going to Chelsea. First of all, Chelsea does not have the Champions League standing this season. So if he does go to Chelsea he will not be playing in the Champions League.

Secondly, Chelsea is also not going to give him so much money that it will make him consider going to Chelsea instead of Arsenal. So no, I don't see any reason why he is going to choose Chelsea over Arsenal. And if he does he is just stupid which I am sure he is not.
1648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: June 01, 2023, 01:48:37 PM
Regarding 60k usd this year ? then my friend, anything and everything is possible. We just need to have pure faith and trust the process. I am assuming Bitcoins might hit 50k USD by the end of November.

Anything can happen, but the probability of it happening is very low, so putting too much faith and expectation on the goal of $60k this year will just be a waste and cause us to collapse if that doesn't happen. $50k is a better target, but I think $40k is probably the most viable if history repeats itself. During the previous bear season, bitcoin also rallied to $12k after bottoming out at $3k in 2018, and if things repeat, then we can expect a target of $40k or more than $50k.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 31, 2023, 05:38:28 PM
Both teams deserved to become the champion but there can only be one. I am a fan of both although generally, I am more of an NBA fan first before teams and specific players. I just always want all the teams to become very competitive and I am glad that most of the teams nowadays are capable of entering the playoffs. And just like you, I am also a fan of the underdogs, not just in basketball.

But if I were to pick a team, I would side with the Denver Nuggets. They are the #1 in the west and proved it by reaching the finals. And kudos to Denver's management for bringing very good role players into the team to help Jokic who always gives his best without much complaining while the other superstars are always pressuring their teams to provide another superstars and capable role players. So the team management is the big difference IMO. Miami is always contending in the east despite being short-handed with players only because their coach is just super good and flexible and Jimmy Butler's extraordinary leadership.

Of course, everyone is going to choose the Denver Nuggets to be the winner against the Miami Heat. That is not a surprise at all. The actual surprise is how well Miami Heat is currently performing. I just cannot shake the feeling that Miami Heat is going to show some surprises. They have been very inconsistent and it is really hard to predict the results of those games which are inconsistent. And these are the teams which can actually end up making history.

Everyone is saying that Nuggets are going to be the winners. But I believe people are in for a surprise Smiley
1650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating unemployed friends about Bitcoin on: May 31, 2023, 12:41:39 PM
That's gonna be hard, because how would you convert your money into fiat again if Bitcoin is illegal in your country. I'd say moving out to another country is the key but it will be another problem since you guys are unemployed, and investing your savings in Bitcoin doesn't guarantee you an everyday profit because of its volatility.

I'd recommend invest your savings instead on a business, start one and make it big then move to another country where Bitcoin is legal if you guys really want to pursue it.

If you have a talent for doing business, then you can live in abundance anywhere in the world. I know people who earn a lot of money with the help of business, they have reached the level that they have everything they need and they don’t even think about dealing with cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin can give you a chance to earn something if you do everything right, but the same applies to the business, it is also able to bring a lot of money if you can organize everything properly.

It's true, cryptocurrencies are not the only way to make us a lot of money, to make us financially free. Many people are still living rich life without cryptocurrency. We need cryptocurrencies because we are willing to take risks to get rich quickly, but many people don't want to admit this fact.
Sometimes you don't need to have talent, you just need patience, effort, and hard work, you can also build your own business or start a business in any field you think has potential. Without those things, whether investing in bitcoin or going abroad to work, we will never succeed.
1651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 31, 2023, 12:26:45 PM
I'm certainly not convinced about this information that he gave to me...I want better ideas and  enlightenment on why I should buy bitcoin.I need help please!
We can't really give you the enlightenment if you are not interested with Bitcoin in the first place. Most of the people come to Bitcoin space are looking for the investment purpose and whilst it's not true for some people but majority of people out there are looking to get money really quick. Ask for yourself and maybe do some research online about why do you even interested in the first place, otherwise we won't tell you anything.

What he said was like he was challenging us, and bitcoin needed him, not he needed bitcoin. You're right, for someone who already knows about bitcoin but doesn't want to learn everything by himself and expect others to enlighten himself, no matter what we say, we won't be able to convince them and just waste our time. Investing is simply for making a profit, and if they don't need to make money, then don't invest, leave that opportunity to others, and never regret when things go up in price and bring profits for others.
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 30, 2023, 08:10:29 PM
Win or lose against Denver Nuggets, they are already in the history books. A bunch of undrafted players with an extraordinary coach and Jimmy Buckets. This Miami Heat team needs to get under so much pressure first in order to activate its X-factor thing. They are supposed to be the #7 but lost to Atlanta in the play-ins that they still need to beat Chicago just to join this season's playoff. And after a surprising 2-0 win in Boston, they lost 3 straight games which was so unusual that they really have to undergo a very tough situation in TD Garden for a chance to be in the finals.

I say, what a journey for the Miami Heat before heading into the finals. And let's not forget that they are missing some key players due to injuries. But somehow they beat the #1 seed in the whole NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the championship favorite Boston Celtics.

The journey to the final has certainly been very interesting so far. I hope the final is also going to be as interesting as that. I would really like to see a very competitive match. At the same time, I know people are predicting that the Denver Nuggets are going to be the winner, But I would actually like to see the Miami Heat be the winner of this final. I have always been a fan of watching those teams win which are actually the underdogs. Actually, I don't know if they can be called the underdogs, to be honest. After all the way they have reached the finals has been nothing but thrilling. I have high hopes for the Miami Heat.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 29, 2023, 06:13:45 PM
Absolutely but I think due to bad luck and some bad performance of few player should not allow us to blame entire team, as if you watch out the entire series then surely you will noticed some quality batters like Omair bin Yousaf who scored dozen of runs with a large number of half centuries and centuries, also some other young talent like Haseeb Ullah and many more. S.Dahani were top wicket taker of the series but in recent match he leak around 100 runs in his 10 overs. So the best possible solution will be to just replaced the bad performer with some new emerging star of talent hunt.
Thankfully this series was not official but introspection is required by the PCB. A few players from this team have good experience in playing in PSL with International players. They also did not perform well. I reckon Pakistan was over confident against Zimbabwe which led to such a pathetic performance.

I agree with @pakhitheboss. I think that Pakistan did not take this seriously at all. Because they thought it was going to be a win by default. And that's why they did not take Zimbabwe seriously. But of course, Zimbabwe did not treat this one as an unofficial series. They have actually gone into this series thinking that they have to compete properly. And they have done that beautifully. Pakistan has certainly not taken this seriously. But of course that cannot be an excuse.

1654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 29, 2023, 05:46:17 PM
^^ In ECB vs Player leaving context it's not related to funding or the declining of cricket popularity at all.
In this scenario, it all comes down to the player's contract. Some players get a full year's contract and similarly, some get a 2-3 months deal depending on the white ball series and county's gigs. Jason Roys falls into a White ball contract.
Jason Roy is just the tip of the iceberg. Already it is reported that 6 of the regular England players are in talks with IPL franchises to pull out from the ECB contracts. And I am sure that many of these players are having regular contracts with ECB at this point. ECB simply can't compete against the money power of IPL. In the long term, this will impact the ability of teams other than India to conduct bilateral tours. More and more national players will retire from international cricket and focus solely on franchise cricket (similar to what Trent Boult is doing now).

The sad part is that any cricket board is not going to be able to stop this because the players will always try to get better validation for their hard work. And of course, IPL is going to do that. IPL is always going to be able to pay the players a lot more compared to what the respective cricket boards can do.

So of course those players are going to choose to play in franchise cricket instead of playing for the national team. Of course, if the players agree to play for the IPL it is going to be really hard for the cricket boards to make the players choose otherwise. But if that actually ends up happening I wonder what will happen when the world cup comes.
1655  Economy / Economics / Re: how to overcome inflation for the community on: May 29, 2023, 08:44:07 AM
Never think that inflation will end, countries that use paper money and are not based on gold and silver will continue to experience inflation, for us the best thing to avoid inflation is to find a source of income, if we have a lot of money in the bank then it's time for us to use it for business so the money will grow.

Inflation is a part of the world economy, it never goes away completely, it has a cycle that comes and goes at some point. But in the long run, each time inflation comes back will be more and more scary, so we need to prepare for the future, for the coming inflation. Do not rush to rejoice if inflation is pushed back in the near future, but focus on increasing assets during the period of economic development to prepare for future inflation.
1656  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 29, 2023, 08:31:10 AM
There have been mixed opinions on this since Chatgpt was launched. But so far, it's all hypothetical and there hasn't been any evidence that AI will increase unemployment instead of creating more jobs. In my opinion, AI will definitely have an impact on employment and many people will be unemployed. But that will make us more developed and people will find ways to adapt to everything, maybe when AI develops more there will be many other professions and we will have more choices. After all, AI is also created by humans, we are still one level above it.
1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: May 28, 2023, 11:07:19 AM
I believe bitcoin and banks are well renounced investment platforms but many people prefer bitcoin investment despite is very risky because of high demands and rising price interest and banks on the other hand saves millions of people finances all over the world yet their investment interest is very small but less risky than bitcoin. Which do you preferred your money to be save in as investment? Bitcoin or bank! What's your reason?
You misjudge risks when you talk about banks. Firstly, the interest that you can receive from a bank deposit will be eaten up by inflation, and secondly, while the money is kept in the bank, it does not really belong to you, but is under the complete control of the bank, and you may not even be able to get it quickly in case if you need them.

As you can see, the risks are quite large and I see no reason to keep money in the bank, and even more so, I see no reason to use a bank deposit to make a "profit".

What you said about the bank is absolutely true, that is the downside of the bank. But what about bitcoin? Is it perfect? Is it safe for us to put all our assets in it? The answer is that nothing is perfect and safe. What happens when you put all your money in bitcoin for $50k or $69k, and you need the money urgently right now, and its price is only $26k now? Will you still be satisfied using bitcoin after losing over 50% of your net worth?

To be fair, nothing is perfect. And the solution in this case is not to put all your eggs in one basket, diversification is essential.
1658  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Banks really manipulates us? on: May 28, 2023, 10:53:45 AM

the bank is not completely wrong, at least it helps us to store our assets much easier than we save them ourselves.

In terms of business, they are not wrong, what they are doing is no different from companies in other fields, they have spent their brains and efforts, they have the right to receive what they set out to do. But if someone understands how it works and how banks take our money, that person will stay away from the bank rather than continue to trust. But you are right, they are not wrong because in order to make a profit, there must be a trick, if there is a fault, blame us for believing them too much and not having any doubts.

However, I strongly disagree when you think it is better for the bank to keep our assets than to let us keep them ourselves. It's strange that you don't believe in yourself but believe in a stranger and can give your assets to them to hold.
1659  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to the bitcoin rate if the global economy collapses in 2023? on: May 28, 2023, 10:38:43 AM
We do get that a lot of time and it's been dead for so many times. That's why with these negative speculations, people should have learned a lot from those words and they've been seeing how strong Bitcoin is. Whether there will be a lot of factors that will show how devastated the global economy and Bitcoin might be affected by it, the thing here is that Bitcoin will remain as is and won't be easily dying just as what others have been thinking for years.

Yes, bitcoin has been through many ups and downs during the last 14 years, and it has not only not stood up but has grown more robust in the previous 14 years. But one thing we need to know is bitcoin has never experienced an economic crisis and has never been under interest rate pressure like last year.
I guess we can compare that economic crisis that people are considering is the bear market. The toughest that I have experienced was the 2018 but I know that there's the tougher one in the past years but I haven't experienced that and that's why I am only speaking on my experience.

This is the first time bitcoin has faced its biggest challenge ever. So it's hard to say anything in advance. But given its deflationary virtues, scarcity, and out-of-the-box features, we might expect it to benefit from an economic fallout rather than worry about it.
I don't even think that there's some hardest and biggest challenge that Bitcoin has faced or will be facing for this year. Because as I've said, the one that's hardest based on my experience was 2018.

It's just your feeling, but if we rely on market conditions from the impact of macro news of the world economy, this is the biggest challenge bitcoin has faced when created so far. I have also experienced bear season in 2018, it can be said to be harsh, but because it is the first time experiencing bear season, the feeling of fear is much more. I panicked and dumped my assets in 2018, but this year I want the bear market to last as long as possible. That's because we've experienced and understood how the market works, instead of being scared, we're excited when the market crashes. Because it gives us the opportunity to buy everything at a high discount.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 28, 2023, 08:22:34 AM
luton town secured their final promotion spot yesterday after a 6-5 penalty shootout win over coventry city and move into the premier league for the first time. ltfc are promoted to the premier league for the first time and are back in the top league for the first time in 31 years. the 'hatters' celebrate their passage from the fifth to the first division in just nine years and compete with the great calibers of english soccer in the coming season.
Welcome to English Premier league Luton Town, but I am sorry to say that your name does sound like a candidate of English Premier league. If care is not taken they would be sent back to Championship next season.
The list of the promoted now includes;
  • Burnley
  • Sheilfied United
  • Luton Town
Congratulations to them.
Finally Burnley can return to the premier league after last season they were relegated. but it didn't take long for Burnley to return to the Premier League. Actually, Burnley is indeed a team that is quite strong, they even stayed in the Premier League for quite a long time. it's just that last season Burnley did experience a fairly drastic decline. Much like the current state of Leicester.

And actually I didn't follow the EFL Championship. But I see how the statistics for Burnley's matches are quite impressive there. They only have 3 losses from a total of 46 matches. And I think next season Burnley will be one of the teams to be reckoned with.

I am delighted to see Burnley qualify for the Premier League. This team is a good enough team. However, the performance of the Burnley team in the last season was poor. They were very weak in attack. This is why the team was in the relegation zone last season after losing 17 matches.

However, this season they once again qualified the team for the Premier League. Burnley's performance in the Championship this season has been very good. Burnley lost just 3 of 46 matches. Hopefully, Burnley can perform well in the next Premier League season. And will be able to keep a considerable distance from the relegation zone.
