1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: temtum was on Sky News on Monday!?! on: July 18, 2019, 10:04:42 AM
Congrats to the project for such exposure, I have to looked at their bounty now and they just have a small amount of reward for participants. The team seems to be confident that the project will be a success as normally bounties are high to attract more bounty hunters, but this one seems to be a good project and confident to have secured funds to develop the project.

Yeah the reward of the bounty is not very attractive but i guess many join because most of the elaborate reward offered by other campaigns don't come to be reality because most of them will turned out to be scams or worthless but with Tem there is assurance you will get your reward even if not much.

People are so much depressed by the regular scam in bounties that they'd be doing jobs in any low payment if they feel secure about the project.
Temtum has been able to get the attention of the crypto community and could be one of the rare successful project of 2019.

here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WOVukI3f-g
Meltem Demirors from Coinshares explain how is Libra different from bitcoin and why all cryptocurrencies should not be treated like Bitcoin and confirmed Libra to be fully regulated and be abide by every laws and regulations.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Sports betting} Watch out for "professional tipsters" on: July 17, 2019, 04:27:04 PM
Be on the lookout for sports betting tipsters who try to sell you their tips, and boast about an unusually high win rate (The best tipsters have an annual win rate of 60%)

You can find free tips all over on the internet (Reddit, for example). However, there are many "tipsters" I have seen on Bitcointalk that charge up to $150 to be part of some Discord group where tips are shared, boasting win rates of 90%.

Remember, what you are looking for is how many units someone has won in the long run. If their tips were so good, they would use their own tips to get rich, instead of trying to market themselves to you.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

There was always a market for professional Tipsters. Even paid Tipster services are quite popular outside of crypto. But you need to be sure you are following the real professionals and not a scammer. There are dedicated sites for fiat based Tips and Tipster but I haven't seen one that includes crypto as option or payment.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook libra hearing on: July 17, 2019, 04:22:05 PM
After reviewing the Facebook hearing with the US Senate, it seems that the US government still holds a very strict opinion on Libra. With a huge user base of 2 billion people, if Libra works, Facebook will operate a very large monetary system compared to the US government's monetary system. That why US government will not let this happen. Now we can only wait to see what Facebook will do to be passed.

Facebook would have no choice rather than to comply with the US laws. Even though they get shifted to Europe or somewhere, US would do whatever necessary to make sure they won't exist very long. Decentralization and Privacy is hated by every oppressive governments equally around the world.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most unusual games you played in a crypto casino? on: July 16, 2019, 10:59:39 PM
I think by unusual, the OP means the games that you do not know about and which are there on the casinos and you have attempted to gamble in. If that is what the op is asking, my answer is “NO” because I always prefer to gamble on the games that I am expert at and there is no point in gambling at the games you do not know about because ultimately you lose the money.
That's not what unusual means, he's not asking if you ever want to play it or not but he's asking for an experience if you ever had. So if you don't like it unusual games means that you haven't played any of them.

It's a game that you find interesting but different from the typical games that we used to play. It's not about being expert or not with those games and this I can finally say that these kind of games are the games that we can usually play for fun.

I love plinko the most and loathe slots. Plinko is a real fun game as we grew up playing plinko in the local fair. Though it were named differently, and the rules were a bit different but love the site of ping pong balls falling down an inclined plane.
1646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Perfect Dice experience on: July 16, 2019, 10:10:13 PM
Many dice sites looks and feels similar these days. But there are still some differences that makes some dice sites unique to others.
For example windice has a slider to place where you want the outcomes with what odds.
Though there are many complaints about the owner, betking has a burst dice option that's cool and unique than others.
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether scam on: July 16, 2019, 09:52:53 PM
I just read that team around tether made a "mistake" and did generate and burned 5 billion USDT.

I think this made this huge price dump now.

Is there any chance to get rid of this stupid tether connection or the full coin?

That was a mistake and corrected. I don't think that would have any effect on the price of the coin as it's a stable coin and backed by real USD.
There were worse time than this for Tether bet they came along and so would they this time.
1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: microsoft and lition coin on: July 16, 2019, 12:21:12 PM
microsoft has invested in this coin is it true>Huh? called lition and it was only sold to enterpises for ico...............binance and other exchanges going ape shiz. im curious have any of you seen a 1000x in last year>?

Seems like another fake shill. Investors should be cautious of such post and research for themselves before deciding to invest in a relatively unpopular coins. Look for the coins and it's review in different posts in the forum. Watching the response in Announcement threads would give you a basic idea. Don't even look if the Announcement is self moderated.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOST died ? on: July 16, 2019, 12:17:17 PM
hi guys
do u think IOST is died and going to dump more maybe to 40 - 50 sat ?
it's already fall from 200 sat to 69 sat  Grin

Many of these projects promised great things, collected lot of money but were not able to deliver what they promised for.
One of the reasons is fierce competition in the sector of utility tokens. Ethereum has been a leader for a while and people are much more familiar to it that any thing else. Big names as EOS and Tron has been struggling to make a presence while something like IOST is lost in the crowd.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fact about Cryptos on: July 16, 2019, 12:11:05 PM
There is one big fact about crypto that's above all other facts, bitcoin and altcoins can't be banned physically Grin
Either U.S ban crypto or not it won't hurt at all

This is true and it would hunt the governments every time they think of banning crypto. An outright ban would be beneficial for adoption and advertisement of crypto. Though they may make it difficult to cashout crypto in fiat but if people started accepting crypto for goods and services, there's nothing they can do.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: July 16, 2019, 12:09:12 PM
Personally , I lost nearly 1500$  from day trading. I do buy back theory now to recover the loss and invest on potential ico's. now i am going on a slowly steady way ,  if we get greedy then  we end up with nothing.

whats your solutions do you do for cover the loss?

Learn from you mistakes and never hurry in making decisions. Double check every of your actions. I have lost more than that amount sending in the wrong address. If you want to day trade, make a strategy, start with a base price and point out buying and selling points.
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2019 betting [ODDS UPDATED] on: July 16, 2019, 11:32:57 AM
Who thinks race or color will play a factor in the selection of the BBC SPOTY 2019? I mean, you know, Asher Smith and Sterling are both of color. Do you think these sports figures will have less chance?

Of course they will. I don't mean to sound racist or blame anyone but when it comes to voting, women and color has always been in disadvantage. Specially women. There could be some exception but this is generally true for almost all awards decided by vote.

I don't deny the existence of biasness but Color is a much less issue in the UK and the Europe. And women too share much more equality than most parts of the world. I guess color could be a issue in US or anywhere else but would be a much smaller issue in UK and the europe.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin proposes Ethereum use Bitcoincash blockchain for transactions on: July 16, 2019, 10:10:09 AM
Everyone knows the suffering of Ethereum due to it's low scalability. The use and adoption of Ethereum has been affected by it. The founder of Ethereum now proposes Ethereum use Bitconcashs blockchain to do transactions as BCH is much more scalable and transaction fees lower, that until the Ethereum 2.0 is launched.
What's your take on this?
https://cointelegraph.com/news/buterin-proposes-bitcoin-cash-integration-to-scale-ethereum-in-short-term/amp

Low scalability is a nonsense phrase that altcoins love to talk about. So what if you have bigger blocks and faster TPS? Eventually,,, you have to scale if you have more txs than your network can handle and that is a sign of success! BSV or BCH or whatever will never have this problem not because they can scale but because they will never have the success needed to scale.

AFAIK, higher scalability and higher TPS means faster transactions. Transaction speed is the problem Etherum is facing right now.
But I too don't believe depending on another blockchain would be beneficial to Ethereum. They should better hurry and bring up their updated blockchain.
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shill me Proof of Work coins on: July 16, 2019, 03:27:10 AM
Hi. I'm looking for specific coins that utilize proof of work.

With no Premine
With no ICO
With a fair distribution.

I know about a few such as LTC / XMR But i'd like your input on some coins that utilize this. Thanks guys!

The time for proof of work coins are over so I'd never recommend anyone to go with new POW coins.
The ones you mentioned LTC and XMR could be a decent investment and mining coin. ETH is also a proof of work till now.
Bitcoin is hard to mine but still one of the best investment.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump's statement against cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2019, 03:22:33 AM
How the crypto market will react now? President Trump's statement against bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Trump for the first time come out openly against cryptocurrency. The US is one of the countries having a large share of cryptocurrency market. What will be future implication following Trump coming down heavily on cryptocurrency?

He's a good guy but a slow learner. He is wary about the economics if crypto came as a common replacement for fiat. The whole world economics has been based on taxes on fiat.
And it would really be difficult to run a government if people don't pay their taxes.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Research and Hardwork on: July 16, 2019, 03:20:01 AM
With current market, you can't be so sure about any projects. With research, you need to view a wide areas to decide whether the project is worth investing.
Starting from the people involved, their history, experience and trust to the feasibility of what the project intends to achieve, its market at the time and it's competitors.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will there be physical casinos operating with cryptos in the future? on: July 16, 2019, 03:12:39 AM
Physical casinos usually using "chips" on the game and it is usually in terms of fiat money (mostly USD) something like 1chip for 1usd. It is very possible to see that people can buy the chips with crypto but changing the chips into (maybe) bits or mbtc wont come true in the near future because of the unstable price. But nothing is impossible in this world, maybe there will be a well known online crypto casino build their own physical casino in the future (who knows?).

Yes, most of the casino works with chips, they may allow users to buy chips using crypto but withdrawing it back to crypto is not likely as there would be legal issues of taxation and due to volatility of crypto. But who knows we might even see a real world gambling that uses bitcoin denomination as chips.
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2019 - Discussion Thread on: July 14, 2019, 07:58:47 PM
I don't know what you think but an obvious penalty kick for Tunisia was cancelled by the VAR.
I am not sure whether the VAR is making football games better or is just ruining it?
Waiting for Algeria vs Nigeria.

Algeria is a goal ahead at half time that too from an own goal from Nigerian player. Nigeria too are playing good, and it's still difficult to predict the winner. Nigeria has a strong new team while Algeria always had been one of the favorite.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Titan Coin Vs DogeCoin: Comparing Top Digital Currencies on: July 14, 2019, 05:10:24 PM
First, I also did not find the thread of Titan coin, but now I found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5127407.0
Thank you, I will read it later, because I have to watch the very last games in the match between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. That's an amazing final match, for today.  It is very dramatic like what happened with Bitcoin and some of top altcoins on crypto market recent hours today.

Yes, one of the most exciting finals of I've ever watched. And surely the longest. Now the final set is 6 all.
And as of the comparison of coins, it would have been better if titan compared itself with similar coin. Dogecoin is a entirely different league and I don't think there are any significant number of people that would consider dogecoin as an investment.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC HALVING on: July 14, 2019, 05:06:17 PM
Every halving had been positive on the price of the coin. The recent trends are of rise just before the halving and fall again during and after halving. But with current market situation, I doubt the halving would have any great significance on the price.
