How do you cool the room.

Btw the artwork is really nice.

16463  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN] Sr. Member tvplus006 - 459 merits [all earned] on: July 15, 2019, 12:27:07 AM
Tvplus006 now has 501 merits.

I can’t do any more to help that I can think of.  No one answered any pms and the 1 thing I see against Tvplus006 is worth a short term ban at best.  Edit at most.

I wish you the best as you did find multiple scams and helped a lot of people out.

Good luck !

Yeah I have more l6-30r receptacles and can run a l6-30p to c19 cable but I do have other gear.

My four panels can do

225 amps  9 receptacles

225 amps  9 receptacles

250 amps 11 receptacles

250 amps 11 receptacles

Have to check the two new ones. I know running 20s direct seems wasteful but if they do 3000 watts

They would be good for me.  I may get a third unit the m21s. Which is a bit of a power hog like the T17 is compared t9 the s17.
16465  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Innosilicon T2T 30T Fan Speed on: July 14, 2019, 10:57:29 PM
This means... manual fan rpm control? Lol. You don't need the potentiomenter if you are fine with 100% Smiley

Interesting that the 3rd wire controls rpm as opposed to the 4th wire in the S9.

Nope 100% is just about the most worthless fan speed possible for the gear if you are running it at balanced speeds.
(25% would also be bad as it over heats.)

Fan wear out too fast.

Fan uses more power.

Pretty freaking annoyed at what they did.

If I drop the miners power use a few hundred watts by going to balanced I simply don’t need 100% as a fan setting.

And if I do need the fans to run at 100% when on balanced using 300 watts less then factory and 500 watts less then on turbo.  It means the gear will over heat on turbo.
16466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 SE on: July 14, 2019, 10:54:01 PM
Just my speculation, but, next batch should be in next 2-3 weeks I assume for order right?  I was going to buy used but the prices are ridiculous.  (reseller prices too)  Twice as much as buying direct!  I assume they need to open another round of ordering in 2-3 weeks to have a September/October batch... Smiley

Go on bitmain every 30 minutes from 8pm to 8am New York time.

Bookmark it and check over and over and over.
16467  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I need 5 sources of revenue to generate $200 each per month - Ideas? on: July 14, 2019, 06:39:19 PM
all these jobs you’re talking about are they going to be online?

No

I'm going to assume you have a lot of money in crypto, or a lot to invest.

No

..Super Master Node ..

No.

Investing in any crypto node is risky unless it is something that is already established like Dash. Which does give a stable payout but the investment is about $139,312  at today's price. Which is absurdly high. (for me)

You can earn via searching on bing.

A single bing account with an outlook email can earn about 5 or 6 dollars a month.

You can write a script to do the searches. It takes a person about 7 minutes a day which is 210 minutes a month.

But a proper script could do it . Is it scalable to an extent yes but most likely no more then 3 accounts per ip will work. My wife and I and a friend do 3 accounts a month on my pc. It earns about 15-17 in amazon cards.

I don’t mind doing searches manually.

Ideally feeding in colder air to the room

Having the room inside a warehouse is good.

Air filters are good.

Exhaust fans = 25% to 50% more than intake fans.

Passive intakes alone can work

My room has a 14,900 CFM exhaust fan.

It has 9000 cfm intake fans

And some passive intake vents.

I am now capable of 150kwatts

I have a video or two or three.

yeah let me see if I have a good shot of the mining room from the outside.

exhaust fan

I took a screen shot of my youtube video

screen shot is of my video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXTn9LUI45o

we have sealed the room with some tarps since that  video and when we added the 3 fans.

so  it is a cool room  with filtered air which

feeds  into a Hot mining  room

we will be able to do 160 maybe 180 kwatts.

If you look at the newer video with no talking we have a 480volt panel  which can provide an additional 250-300kwatts with a transformer.

Maybe next spring.
16470  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Summer Mining - Home miner on: July 13, 2019, 10:18:50 PM
Thanks - I actually have a couple of those kicking around. 1 I've used to place under a rig and the other I believe I used as a "tablecloth" under the blue mat in my vids/photos. I'll play around and see what I come up with. I'd likely be able to just fold it in nice and easy.

good lets us see some photos of it once you do it.

So 391- 420 = - 29.  Since I have 279 to give I must have received 308 as source.
You probably had 200 airdropped, right? I got 200, even though it should have been 400 according to theymos' formula.

That seems about right.  I don't get a lot on a monthly basis maybe 10-15
16472  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: July 13, 2019, 07:44:37 PM
So I have not updated in a while.

here goes some updates:

verizon supplied a router with the modem to the warehouse guy we have been using and  it sucks once you go past 50 or so miners.

Killed hours and hours on weds the 11th  after we got to 831 th and I added the last unit an a1041 avalon the entire network crashed and we could not restore it fully.

At the moment we have

modem >
shit router >
8 port switch>

3 idle ports.
4 ports to warehouse use

1 port to miners to a 48 port cisco switch

running our best miners
16 units to do 550th

we will do the following next week

modem >
run 2  new cat 6 eth cables to new router  1)active and 1) spare
quality router with 8 ports>

3 ports to 3x 48 port cisco switches  run 4 cables 3 active and a spare
4 ports to warehouse use
1 idle port.

this should give us easy redundancy .

the 3 cisco switches allow us more then we need switch wise as we will have about 26 units a switch.

plus a backup cable for router
a backup cable for switches.
and if a switch dies all of the mining gear can fit on two switches.

At the moment we are running 17 pieces of the newer gear gives us 550th
all s9's =idle
all l3+ = idle
some a721 = idle

avalon a1041's are back in my garage as they run here but  the verizon router simply crashed when ever we ran them.

to be fair the verizon router crash 20+ times from 6pm to 11pm weds night not always with avalons in play.

We added monster fans.
some filters
the room can cool  125kwatts of gear maybe more like 150kwatts  which is about 600,000 btu of heat

My home furnace is only  95,000 btu of heat.

Camera screwed up when we lost the net so I have a poor video taken before net crashed.

We we running about 110kwatts and room was under 85f   note the 3 fans they pull  9000 cfm the fan to the outside does  11,000 cfm

Upload status:
Uploading your video.
Your video will be

live at: https://youtu.be/lxscwmuqD28

this upload is slow as shit.  I will check back later.

edit it is up

Too loud to talk.  the 3 high stack of fans is  3 x 3000  cubic feet per minute  we need a safety screen put in. it is not safe as it is setup.

this is a link to the fan

don't use the pink  use this

https://www.amazon.com/Tonyko%C2%AE-Fiberglass-Fire-Blanket-39-inch/dp/B01FOILJEI

comes in lots of sizes is fairly cheap and easy to use.

cuts down dust big time.  and sound will penetrate it and get lost in the mineral wool

I always get the 78 inch by 78 inch size.

this guy has a 5 pack

https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Blanket-Suppression-Fiberglass-Cloth/dp/B07QY6KFNP

and a 3 pack

https://www.amazon.com/JJ-CARE-Blanket-Suppression-Fiberglass/dp/B07QX4RBHV

40 by 40

but I like the 78 by 78 listed first.
16474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: July 13, 2019, 06:10:27 PM
My July batch arrived as well, apparently they look well "burned in" with a light coating of dust on the fans. First time I've had any from inno with dust on the fans.

No doubt they will just say its from the burn in process if I bring it up, but will keep you updated.

Phil was yours clean?

Perfect clean as a whistle.

That was a t3 t39

I am running it at balanced+

It mines on and on so far at about 35th

Do not think it will mine well in a home.  Fans are simply set to 100%

Pisses me off as they should run at 85% at balanced +

Wastes power and ages the fans to set them to 100%.

Does your mineral wool make dust in your sound proof tunnel?
16476  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A1041 Review on: July 13, 2019, 06:02:39 PM
Having issues signing into mine.

It is mining to my pool but refuses to let me use root root to sign in.

Which is weird as it let me sign in with root root on multiple occasions.

One really nice thing is this is not very loud.

I can run it in the garage and sleep in my bedroom above the garage.

Can’t do that with

 the m20s from what’s miner
the t17.     From bitmain
The s17.     From bitmain
The t39.      From innosilicon are all much louder then the a1041

With the m20s being the loudest miner I have ever owned.

This noise factor is a plus for a guy that loud miners are not good.

The a1041 is the quietest one especially on normal setting which yields about 31th and 2065 watts.

I am a source.

on the lifetime send list I sent 420

101. 420 Merit sent by philipma1957 (#64507) to 159 unique users in 240 transactions

on the lifetime receive list I received  782

55. 782 Merit received by philipma1957 (#64507) from 124 unique users in 395 transactions

so 782- 420 = 362 I also received some source credits

yet My merits to give away = 279

so am I miscounting the value of received merits

are they get 2 you can spend 1?

and if 4 people give 1 total 4  I can spend 2 or is it 0  and getting 1 point does not allow giving points away even if you get 1000 1 point merits?
Let's start with a graph to show your sent/received distribution:
Quote
Merit sent by philipma1957 (Trust list) from January 24, 2018 until July 12, 2019 (source)

For every 2 Merit you receive, you earn 1 sMerit. It doesn't matter if you receive then one by one or in larger chunks.

You spend your source Merit before you spend "your own" Merit. Once your source is empty, you start using up your own stockpile.
If you've receieved 782 Merit in total, that earned you 391 sMerit.

To quote myself:
Have you considered sending more per post? Theymos recommends you empty your source:
If they complain about amounts, tell them to complain to me. It's best if sources try to exhaust their source allocations, even if it means giving posts higher amounts than is typical. If you have 150 source merit and you only see 3 merit-worthy posts in a month, then I'd rather you over-give each of them 50 merit than let the merit expire. That way there are more people capable of sending merit, and the "merit economy" is less top-down.
I don't really agree with this though: it wouldn't look good to to just dump 50 Merit on a Newbie with one post, but doubling or tripping the amount per post would make sense if that's what you need to empty your source.
The red graph shows you've recently started giving out more Merit.

Yeah as I was well over 440 smerits sitting and doing nothing.

So May , June and July I gave out lots more to get down to 279 to give.

Thanks for break down.

So 391- 420 = - 29.  Since I have 279 to give I must have received 308 as source.

  391
+308
  699
 -420
  279.

Math checks

I did create a thread in Reputation about the PM you and another member sent me, in case you missed it.  I requested that anyone who had words of support to speak up, and so far it looks like no one did.

Account selling is a big no-no here.  It promotes shitposting, scamming, spamming, and account farming--all of which are detrimental to bitcointalk.  That's why account buyers and sellers have been getting negged since 2016.  You ought to have known this, but instead you jumped right in to buy an account.

He actually started a thread with your name in it in the Reputation section, you should talk to him there:
Dammit, you either beat me to this or I missed your post here.  Anyway.

You should let him go.

Just this once.

My theory on account sales is as follows.

It is legal don’t punish any above board account sale.

Instead mark the sale as account sold on date it sold.

It must show that and it is not a tag offense.

Hidden account sales = ban the mofo.

This encourages all sales to be marked and shown.

What we do now encourages hidden sneaky sales.

And a do to doot person gets burned.

While a sneak does not.

I understand why you marked him but I think my solution is what to do. Mark a sold account as sold.
