16481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: September 19, 2014, 08:07:58 AM
I have been recommended by my boss (the guy that deals with 1000's of website) to approach nvidia directly and offer them advertisement space.
The reason for this is that cudamining is aimed specifically at nvidia user

I can see why he deals with so many websites, he's a smart guy.
Yes, this is a wonderful idea and this would be great for both parties of the business.
16482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: September 19, 2014, 07:53:50 AM
I could sing a song about it Tongue
Seriously, if you can, stay away from Google AdSense. Your really lucky if you get paid out.

I can vouch for that. The AdSense guys are ... far from nice.
16483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMG] Magi | 1st POS-II | Fair Distr | Tor | M7M CPU only on: September 19, 2014, 07:46:16 AM
The devs seem to be nice and reasonable. After a few "glitches" in the discussions, the bounty payments seem to be on the right direction.

They care about the coin and they want it to succeed.
I feel that they could have had a little more experience, buy they work hard and try to do good for all of us.
Let's give them a little more credit and the coin will be great!

And don't sell low! Buy cheap! Smiley
16484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is happening with Monero ??? on: September 18, 2014, 04:50:22 PM
He's a known troll and has no skills (confirmed by several devs). he's just a liar and wannabe-Terminator

It's beyond me how some people think he has any credibility, it's ridiculous

I can't check the background of everybody. For example your statement can be easily taken as trolling.
Also, for somebody coming here, everybody is "innocent, until proven otherwise".

But I've seen getting in the discussions a few guys with solid reputation as nice and correct, and starting from there it was easy to see which side is which.

Si eu subscriu tot pentru XMR (monero) si XMG (magicoin).

Magicoin e nou si inca nu are miner in regula pentru windows, dar am auzit ca s-ar putea sa apara unul in seara asta.
16487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is happening with Monero ??? on: September 18, 2014, 10:50:45 AM
Even for a lot of people that do read these forums, the fact BitcoinEXpress is a troll or a correct and experienced dev may be unknown.

I had to read myself quite a lot to understand that he's only tries to attract more attention and he's bullsh*tting.
But not all have the patience to read, not all know what to read ... and the markets have their inertia too.

But yeah: cheap XMR for the ones that have money to invest.
16488  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: warning !!! This is a liar, please stay away from him!Insults at him! on: September 18, 2014, 10:40:43 AM
As somebody completely outside of the story, I would say that:

* both of you guys acted quite childish, but hellobilljoygo's immaturity is... outstanding
* the title of this topic is great for arguments between 10-year old kids.
* I am shocked that both of you still have the rep on 0  Cheesy
* CHMinePeerz seems to act now somehow closer to responsible
* hellobilljoygo will need to learn to use escrow.

Getting all this argument to main threads only help people get bad feelings about BTC, altcoins and all this community.

But don't mind me. Go on...
16489  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: September 18, 2014, 10:21:22 AM
It depends when the next financial crisis will break out and how much it will affect USD value.
Some of the worse (or best?) predictions talk even about this winter.

Though, I don't actually expect 10k. Some 5-7k is more realistic imho.
16490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you deserve a $2,000 bitcoin? on: September 18, 2014, 08:54:55 AM
Harsh words, but actually it's nicely said.

But you forget something:
The core of the community may have not change. But the community expanded a lot. Maybe too much.
Bitcoin "business" is not regulated and a lot of .. too young people are involved. The obvious result is a lot of scams.
But yeah, as (mainly) a dogecoiner, I am still badly impressed of the greed and selfishness around here....

I've got - by mail - a voucher to redeem (thanks)

What happens if I redeem it now? I guess that the transaction will be reverted tomorrow?
Allright. Then ... what is the time frame when I could redeem that?

Bitcoin is anonymous
16493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm working on a new coin. How do I release it properly? on: September 17, 2014, 04:44:10 PM
Make sure the wallet start on all big OSes.
Make sure the miner starts on all big OSes.
Talk with pools to get accepted, if needed make a pool for the first few days.

...And obviously make a big announcement about the launch time.
Make sure the launch time suits well most of people around here, not only you.
16494  Economy / Services / Re: Help fix my browser, earn 1mBTC on: September 17, 2014, 04:13:59 PM
As far as I've seen you may need to change for a while the timezone to UTC, then go to internet settings (internt explorer, internet options) -> content -> clear ssl state.

16495  Local / Offtopic / Re: Ce ati face daca ati avea 10.000 BTC? on: September 17, 2014, 03:57:03 PM
Vreo jumatate i-as investi in chestii mai "palpabile".

16496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The $1000 Stake Challenge! on: September 17, 2014, 02:51:38 PM
More and more posts like this are done lately. And I love this! I just started learning more about how to earn something from crypto, so more like this the merrier.
Many thanks, keep us posted and good luck!
16497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is everyone actually looking for in an altcoin? on: September 17, 2014, 02:32:56 PM
Basically what everybody wants is: a coin you can get very cheap (doesn't matter if you can mine a lot quickly, buy very cheap from the market, or just get it in a giveaway), its value explodes very quick and from that point it grows continuously.

Easier said: easy money for everybody.
Obviously that's not actually possible.

Good things for a coin:
- smart, active and hard-working devs  (though smart and hard-working usually are mutually exclusive), if they are already known here, even better.
- good community
- ASIC resistance is a trend these days, CPU-only even better.
- completely anonymous transactions are a good addition these days
- easy to use wallet for all OS from second 1, working stratum pools from second 1, exchange very early.
- the possibility to merge mine it with other popular coins is a nice addition
- a way to spend the coins on goods as early as possible (even if only  in a game)
16498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With all these new threads about Monero would you buy it right now ? on: September 17, 2014, 02:00:01 PM
Monero seems to get too much attention from all the directions, which for me is actually scary.
I own a tiny amount of Monero and after all my excitement about it at start, now my feeling are mixed exactly because of the too much attention.
16499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best age to introduce your kids to Bitcoin? on: September 17, 2014, 01:19:55 PM
As late as possible. I'd even prefer to talk with them after they've found out about BTC by themselves.

Yeah, it sounds bad, so I'll explain.
This area is completely unregulated. Here the scams are something usual. Also don't forget about gambling. All these are best to get in contact with as late as possible imo, when you start knowing human nature better, when you know some basics to protect yourself.
16500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 17, 2014, 12:08:19 PM
I did the upgrade to latest on windows and it works fine.

I'd say:
- either some files are not OK for linux
- either your daemon was working when you did the upgrade and you actually have the old daemon.

Please don't throw stones on me if I'm wrong!
