16502  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: October 28, 2014, 03:05:06 AM
Hi Og,
What is it doing or not doing?  Does it power up?
Also some of them do not have the board dip switches set properly.
At the end of my review I have a pic of the dip switch assignments at the bottom.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/review-asicminer-tube-830-ghs-bitcoin-miner-sold-us-112bit-com/
I hope it helps.

I received our ASICminer Prisma.  Unfortunately, it appears to be DOA.  Very disappointing, but not surprising.  I'm exploring our options.

I'll take a look. A visual inspection shows 1 board missing a capacitor but I should be able to find a suitable replacement.

16504  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin over tor [vulnerabilities] on: October 25, 2014, 09:02:26 PM
I have considered running a trusted hidden service node.  Perhaps if other reputable Bitcointalk members were wanting to establish a "trusted" network of nodes, that might be a step in the right direction.
16505  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] .1 Silver Casascius on: October 25, 2014, 06:26:16 PM
I have a couple of these left...  I'm always willing to listen to an offer.
16506  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will it take to increase Bitcoin buying demand? -- Poll on: October 24, 2014, 07:27:22 PM
What will it take to increase the buying demand on bitcoin again?

Time.  A lot of really smart people are building a lot of really cool infrastructure for Bitcoin.
16507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $5000 per coin will never happen if PoW mining is allowed to continue on: October 23, 2014, 09:33:31 PM
All Bitcoin holders are essentially charged a 10% tax per year, perpetually, by the PoW mining network. How can this be sustainable?

The free market will adjust as necessary.
16508  Economy / Services / Re: [Service] I will build a standard dice site for you for $600 on: October 23, 2014, 09:24:07 PM
What language is it written in?  Will you host the site as well, or just provide the code?

Actual coin pic for those who need to see to believe (silver rounds not for sale).

16510  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking BFL Monarchs and servicing them while times are weird. on: October 23, 2014, 03:31:38 AM
So if you have a Monarch that isn't running, check the right side water block. It might be shorting a power line.

Pics?

20 days until liftoff?   Huh
16512  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Bucks,Banksy Bitcoin and Bullshit art on a Dollar. on: October 18, 2014, 10:43:03 PM
Pretty low quality workmanship.  Might be cool if you could do something better like this:

16513  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] 5oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: October 17, 2014, 04:08:26 PM
5oz NastyFans Minted Seats!    1oz Minted Seats available here.

Available now in the NastyShop.

The increased size of a 5oz coin allowed for a new added design on the back (hologram superimposed for look).  Another addition to this coin will be that it is being minted in proof-like quality.  Due to this, the coins will ship to me individually packaged instead of in rolls, so they should be free from scratches.

NastyFans Minted Seat Features:
  • Receives & Stores Bitcoin Distributions for 5 NastyFans Seats
  • 5oz .999 Fine Silver
  • 2.5" in Diameter
  • Proof-like Finish
  • Tamper-Evident Security Hologram
  • Engraved Public & Private Keys
  • Sequential Public Key Vanity Addresses (i.e. 1NASTYxx)
  • Limited 100 Coin Production Batch
  • Sealed in Plastic Airtite Capsule
  • 50% of Sales Donated to NastyFans
  • Coin Analyzer available at nastyfans.uberbills.com

These coins are similar to physical bitcoins you see from Casascius and others.  I'll highlight a few of the major differences.

First of it's kind!  Coins are tied to NastyFans seats and not preloaded with BTC.  By not preloading these coins with BTC, they are not only cheaper to purchase than their competitors, but the potential is there for the BTC address engraved on the coin to continue rising forever with regular NastyFans BTC distributions, as opposed to being a fixed amount as with similar physical Bitcoin options.  It's like having a Bitcoin miner with no costs or effort to maintain.

No more printed keys!  These keys are engraved, and forever attached to the coin.  A tamper evident hologram is placed over the private key to help alleviate security concerns.

No more firstbits!  Your entire public key is engraved on the coin, eliminating any uncertainty that may exist about your coin's public address.

Sequential vanity Bitcoin addresses!  Know exactly what coin number you hold by the public address.  Each coin begins with 1Nasty and is sequentially numbered with the following two characters.

Limited production batch!  Only 100 coins produced.  Being tied to seats instead of BTC also makes these coins extremely limited, as there are a limited # of NastyFans seats.

Revenue sharing!  With 50% of sales being donated to NastyFans, this is a giant fundraiser for all NastyFans.  You know your funds are going back to the Bitcoin community and helping to support a great organization that is dedicated to doing good for Bitcoin.  It is my hope that these coins will provide happiness to existing fans, while at the same time exposing NastyFans to a new group of potential members.

16514  Economy / Collectibles / [SOLD] 1oz Gold American Eagle on: October 16, 2014, 07:33:51 PM
I have a brilliant uncirculated 1oz gold American Eagle coin that I may be willing to sell for BTC.  Looking for offers above the gold spot price.

16515  Economy / Securities / DEBT FREE! on: October 16, 2014, 07:13:23 PM
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANKS TO NASTYFANS AND OUR LENDERS!

All debt settlements have been paid by NastyMining.  I have also sent a list of seat owners for the newly created seats to nonnakip and suspect that our new fans will begin receiving distributions tomorrow (make sure to login and set your donation address).  We now only await distribution of our imminent BFL refund to lenders, and the entire situation will be 100% in the rear view.

As we begin looking forward, I see some great things in the pipeline, but we could still use some help.

Miners - Please join our P2Pool node.  While we have recently cracked 15TH/s on NastyPool, it would be great to see that inch closer to 1PH/s as we wait for NastyPPS development to be completed.  Smiley

Developers - We have .csv & json feeds available that provide quite a bit of information.  We're always looking for those who want to help build 3rd party Nasty sites/services and I have no shortage of ideas.

Fans - I'd love to place our order for the 5oz coins but I need to raise some of the funds for the order by taking pre-sales.  So far we have 3 pre-sales and I would like 17 more.

Spectators - It's been a wild couple of years and with this latest debt hurdle now behind us, we can begin looking towards growth in both our mining operation and our products/services.  With 5,000 new seats being created and handed to lenders, this could present an opportunity to enter the fan club at a bargain during a period of us shifting gears.

Some recent positives:
  • We are now Debt Free
  • ASICminer Prisma miner should arrive next week
  • NastyPPS in development
  • Electrical & Internet has been successfully installed in our NastyCenter™
  • Pre-Orders Available for 5oz Physical NastyFans Seats
  • NastyFans t-shirts available soon

16519  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NastyPool - 0% Fee, Decentralized, IPv6 support, Earn Bonus Lottery Tickets Now! on: October 15, 2014, 10:32:43 PM
New to P2pool but was looking for a low latency server to give it a shot.  I pointed 775 GH to the nasty server and picked up a share on the site.  should I set worker difficulty in any different manner here?

Edit. Im going to give it 2.5TH try.  It should be on the pool now.

Nope, you shouldn't have to worry about setting the difficulty manually.  It is adjusted pool side unless you add a "+X" (with X being a number) at the end of your mining address to specify a difficulty level.

Your pool is very close to my facility.
 time=10.2 ms
 time=10.1 ms
 time=10.3 ms
 time=10.1 ms

Not bad.  Hopefully that's enough for you to hop in the pool.
