16541  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is this website fake!!! on: September 08, 2014, 11:31:16 AM
I am surprised that they don't ask you to also send them some fiat to cover the expenses.

You don't know to never give out your passwords?
If somebody comes on the street and ask you for the key of your home, claiming that he will personally go to your home and give you 1000$ you will think "what a nice guy", right?
16542  Local / Romānă (Romanian) / Re: Bitcoin a atins 3200 EURO azi ! on: September 08, 2014, 11:14:44 AM
Se intampla aproape in fiecare saptamana pe undeva sa apara o eroare (umana), cand in sus, can in jos. Am vazut (da, rar, dar totusi..) inclusiv la traderii "cu vechime", pe EURRON.
16543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MONERO.RS 100 XMR Giveaway on: September 08, 2014, 07:38:37 AM
We are unable to pick the final winner for the giveway. While we have read all entries, there are numerous that suggest features that are already implemented into the pool. We cannot pick these, therefore we are re-opening the giveaway for the last 20 XMR. Good luck!

7. I've seen a great idea on another pool, another coin, quite some months ago: if you came to this pool based on a referral, some 0.5%? 0.05%? of your income goes to the one that gave you the link. Now the more beautiful part: if you didn't come from referral that % goes into a "basket", or if somebody referred more than a max amount, the extra goes into that same "basket". Every week (or month) a drawing is made and one miner (that mined minimum x hours) can win that amount of XMR. I hope I explained it good enough..

I had a hope that at least my 7th idea has a chance. Ohwell....

Congrats to the winners.
16544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SUPERNET IPO FAILED investor Drama!!! BTER failed. Consequences??? :( on: September 07, 2014, 08:42:05 AM
ahhaha IPO faggotry.. you guys get what you deserve  Cool

Well said, sir Smiley best explanation possible!

People don't pay attention, don't read all they should, then scream that they dropped their money out the window. And we should... do what?
16545  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What is the safest way to generate cold storage wallets? on: September 06, 2014, 07:02:29 PM
Any clean freeware code that generates paper wallets will do. You can make 100 addresses and from them you use a few only you know which.

And the best way to do this list would be on a clean OS. Maybe on a virtual machine. After saving (printing?) the list of keys in 5-10 copies, also maybe on usb stick, you can wipe the files of that VM and you are pretty safe imho.
16546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow 1BTC into 250BTC by Christmas :) on: September 05, 2014, 04:51:16 PM
It is quite difficult to do that. You need a lot of time, you need to either do day trading - a lot, either some fraud, either .. things that don't come into my mind.

However, if you came here asking for advice tells only one thing: you are NOT capable to do that. Sorry, it may sound harsh, but I may have just saved you 1 BTC.
If it makes you feel better, I am not capable to do that either (I earned some from day trading, but I also lost some, I don't have the b*lls to play with big bucks and I don't have that much time either, because it will mean a lot of sleepless nights).
16547  Local / Tutoriale / Re: Maruntis... gratis on: September 05, 2014, 03:17:01 PM

Probably the best way to make money at poker is to run a poker school or a poker website Smiley

+1 for the poker website!! Smiley
16549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 05, 2014, 12:09:50 PM
That one's a month old. You still have to sync the rest and you might still end up on the wrong fork, I did.
Best to wait for an official update from the devs.

I can see it now, then wait for the devs to take out bin

Any idea when the update is expected?

I'd assume it'll happen as soon as the devs got some sleep

16551  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is a real bubble - gold on: September 05, 2014, 11:53:42 AM
Gold cannot be a bubble for now. Earth has a limited supply of gold, which sooner or later will be all mined. If we ever get to mine in the outer space, this may change.

Instead, the biggest bubble and scam in history is fiat.
Just imagine: some cheap paper or plastic the politicians decide what value it holds. And the value is tied to... actually nothing.

The ones that do inflation and deflation is fiat. ....Just my 5 cents.

You can get from here bits and from here dogecoins every hour. They're very good faucets.
16553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: September 05, 2014, 07:42:25 AM
As for the overall market - don't worry, when BTC hits $10,000 in the next ~6 months, alts will explode like you've never seen.  I think Hedge funds are already buying alts so this next rally will have legs.

I don't have many HVC and I.. am not really a rich altcoin holder. But I sooooo hope you're right......

That translation is a (bad) joke. I think that it's worse than google translation Smiley

You have right to claim a non ordinary MidasCoin bounty of 10 Mid per pointing out this situation.

Best Regards

Thanks for the offer, will send the PM soon.
If you think so, I will try to re-create a good translation, but I can't promise that I'll be quick with that.
16555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 04, 2014, 08:56:41 AM
The markets are closed. So why keep arguing? It doesn't really serve to anything, even the price cannot change (fall) until all is fixed and markets unfreeze XMR.

And when it's fixed, the only reasonable outcome would be a stronger coin.
16556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 04, 2014, 07:21:08 AM
Yes, create a new wallet, preferably on an offline computer, write down the seed words it gives you, and write down the public address it gives you. That is your paper wallet. Send to the wallet using the public address. Use the seed words to access the coins from it by creating a new online wallet with the '--restore-deterministic' option.

Wow, great explanation! Though I knew about the deterministic option, I somehow thought that XMR has no such thing as paper wallet.
Now... let's push my luck.. and is there any way to actually know how much is on a paper wallet without restoring it and going online? (my guess is "no", but I already guessed wrong once).

In my eyes it looks like somebody added into the spam mail parts from books in an attempt to fool some of the spam filters.
16559  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: September 03, 2014, 02:30:41 PM
Where available - Chrome. It just syncs my everyday data between the computers and the tablet I use. Very handy.

On my old Android 2.x phone I keep switching them. Right now I use Maxthon Browser there.

I'd recommend:

"A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R R Martin

And if you like SF:

"A Fire Upon the Deep" and "A Deepness in the Sky" by Vernor Vinge
"Tuf Voyaging"  by George R R Martin
Ender saga by Orson Scott Card
