There's gold in these forums!
16562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Large bitcoin farm in Thailand burns down on: November 06, 2014, 11:11:42 PM
Wonder what it was insured for.  I wouldn't put it past desperate miners to burn down their farm in order to recoup the costs they paid for their now unprofitable equipment.

Looking forward to participating in this.

3.4 BTC anyone?

Still no luck with the USB adapter  Undecided

cgminer just spits out errors (compiled using  --enable-blockerupter --enable-icarus --without-curses)

[2014-11-06 17:44:02] BET0: Unexpected value 00 received
[2014-11-06 17:44:02] BET0: Sync Error
[2014-11-06 17:44:02] BET0: Unexpected value 58 received
[2014-11-06 17:44:02] BET0: Sync Error
[2014-11-06 17:44:02] BET0: Unexpected value 58 received

it then segfaults after a little bit.

That's more progress than me.  Mine simply doesn't get detected by cgminer no matter what I try.  The USB adapter is the only thing the computer even sees.  Sad
16566  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [16 Pre-Orders Left] 5oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: November 01, 2014, 11:49:52 PM
Alright, so the dividend addy is stored behind the hologram, right?

The private key to claim the BTC is engraved beneath the hologram and the public address is engraved above the hologram where it can easily be read.
16567  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [16 Pre-Orders Left] 5oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: November 01, 2014, 11:27:10 PM
Ah, ok, so basically a "seat" is a share in your mining farm?

Not really.  It's a little bigger than that.  A seat is a membership to NastyFans.  In addition to voting rights, each seat receives weekly distributions of donations received by NastyFans.  While NastyMining does donate all their mining proceeds, NastyFans also receives donations from other sources.  For example, 50% of sales from the 1oz coins and 50% of sales (excluding pre-orders) of the 5oz coins are also being donated to NastyFans.  We run NastyPool which is about to introduce PPS payouts for P2Pool mining.  Hopefully that begins generating donations for NastyFans as well.  There are a few other products we sell (1g silver coins & T-shirts coming soon) that generate donations and we have plans to eventually offer services like automated escrow as well as endorsing a dice style site for additional donation sources.  You can also keep track of NastyFans/NastyPool/NastyMining by checking out our NastyFans iOS App.

There is also a 3rd party site that tracks these coins:

16568  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [16 Pre-Orders Left] 5oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: November 01, 2014, 10:54:35 PM
5 seats attached to the coin being free for all pre-orders.

Og, what does this mean?

Each coin has 5 NastyFans seats attached to it that earn weekly distributions to the coin's address.  Once the coin is released, the $400 minting fee will require you to use 5 of your own seats, or buy 5 seats when you purchase the coin.  Pre-orders will receive the 5 seats for free.
16569  Economy / Securities / Re: LIVE CHAT STARTING SOON! on: November 01, 2014, 10:43:03 PM
I am sorry I missed it today.  I am not doing very well and was stuck in bed heavily medicated all day.
Was it a productive one?

We discussed a few things.  I am encouraging more pre-orders of the 5oz coin so we can get that minted.  I'm asking for opinions on whether or not we should ship our non-working Monarchs to lightfoot for repair.  The NastyShirt is still in the design phase.  I've started providing info to naypalm to begin working on another 3rd party NastyFans website.   I may begin relocating equipment to the NastyCenter this month.  The big one though is that nonnakip has stated it is a possibility for NastyPPS payouts to go live on NastyPool this month.  Smiley

16572  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: October 31, 2014, 07:34:17 PM
^^^ lol

But.... seeing as I took delivery of an X1 earlier this month it looks like I'll (allegedly) be missing out on a X1.5.

That's good. People who ordered after me get a more powerful product.
Feeling the love here  Undecided

I ordered a year ago and have gotten nothing. No X3, no X1s. Now they talk about 14nm. What a joke. If they get one single preorder then i will have seriously lost faith in human intelligence.
16573  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow list on: October 30, 2014, 08:46:10 PM
I'm not on this list, so I don't think it is kept up to date.
16574  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: October 30, 2014, 05:22:17 AM
Wait... They shipped it without a key capacitor? Can you post a pic?

I love mining vendors...

I'm not sure if this is enough to keep the unit from showing up to cgminer (my gut says "no"), but I am hoping for a bit of luck once it's replaced.

16575  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: October 29, 2014, 08:00:50 PM
I received our ASICminer Prisma.  Unfortunately, it appears to be DOA.  Very disappointing, but not surprising.  I'm exploring our options.
Sorry to hear that, want to send it over for a look-see? :-)

C

I ordered the missing capacitor so I'm going to try and solder on the replacement when it arrives. Hoping that magically fixes it. At that point if I can't get it running I'll be looking for help.
16576  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz Gold American Eagle on: October 29, 2014, 08:19:46 AM
It would have been easier just to put an asking price Cheesy

I did. Above spot. Anyone who would actually buy this wouldn't have a problem with that.
16577  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz Gold American Eagle on: October 29, 2014, 06:48:50 AM
Og will you accept cash for it? I think I would rather pay cash than end up kicking myself a month down the road when bitcoin price jumps back up.

Every man has his price, but my price is lower in BTC.
16578  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz Gold American Eagle on: October 28, 2014, 09:22:32 PM

I bet you would. Wink

Hi Og,
What is it doing or not doing?  Does it power up?
Also some of them do not have the board dip switches set properly.
At the end of my review I have a pic of the dip switch assignments at the bottom.

I hope it helps.

I'll take a look. A visual inspection shows 1 board missing a capacitor but I should be able to find a suitable replacement.
