Btw, have you experienced problems with S9 so far? i heard they break a lot and have numerous problems.

People in the cryptoworld to thru a hype, often felling like a drug. i saw countelss times when people just throw their money on ICO without very much information. They also take part in numerous scams...bitonnect being the biggest. When that little baby pops i think we will see much more impressive stories of people losing their money.

my predictions about price of bitcoin in 2018 Q1 is around $15000, its because poeple in the world right now is curious about bitcoin, so they want to earn bitcoin and want to hold their bitcoin, my speculation is in 2018 people that curious with bitcoin is increasing so the price if bitcoin is increasing too
I am not sure that this will happen, in 2 days CMOE will begin trading and it could give another nic burst to BTC. Obsviously it could also bring it down a little, but i dont think it could be the case. Btw it is already bigger than that, so i guess your bet is not valid anymore. |

Depending on the coin, some are free cash and some are a waste of time. It is just a trend we see because it is so new, but eventually all this forking bitcoin will eventually end.
Forks are teams of devs who throw around some free coins in the network to incentivize regular users so they can calmly make millions of dollars premining them or just dumping them onto idiots later on.

I payed around 15$ for a 3000$ transaction, but that was when btc was around 14k...i dont know if i am lucky but i never had problems with confirming my transaction...i mean this one lasted for 1 hour or so to get confirmed.
Anyway, i do agree those taxes are pretty high and basically they force you to hold the coin and not to transact.

The only thing i am worried about the situation is that the price could moon and i wont be able to gather enought btc.
This is barely the first step into real bitcoin adoption, 2018 will be a real rollercoaster for the crypto world, and obviously the year when cryptocurrencys will have over 1 trilion dollares in market cap..at least that is what we hope.

from what i was reading, if someone puts huge numbers of bitcoin out there, it would crash the market. people will start selling it too in fear of what can happen and bam, bitcoin is spinning down fast
Maybe if Satoshi himself would put his 1 milion btc on the market that would happen. But remember when people are selling there is someone who is buyng..so bitcoin will switch from weak hands to stronger hands. Anyway i dont think this is a real issue... |

Well, it is understandable given the actual situation. I personally struggle with this high transaction fees and volatility...basically i am forced to be a hodler  Steem has gained some power in the last period and could soon atempt to pass the all time high. I think everything will come to normal after the water clears a little bit. |

I am on the edge on when to cash out, i decided if it remains the same i will cash out on 8th of December.
On 10 december the futures trade will begin and you never know what happens, one thing is clear tho, what goes up will come down , so i expect bitcoin to fall in its head in the next period.

Well, if you wanna be a White Knight you can say that there are a lot of women involved with cryptocurrency...or that there is no way to know how many women are there because o anonimity.
There is nothing new that when it comes to any domain that is as technical as crypto..that men form the overwhelming majority.
Just take a look at teams of ICO's...most of the projects are 100% men, and rarely you can see women in them....and when you do see a women is often in charge with social media crap...
I must know...i translated 100+ projects and there is no doubt in what i am saying.
Even the public figures of the domain are men...from owners of asic manufacture, owners of mining farms (even home miners), spokepersons, forums, youtube channels.... you dont have to be a genius to see what is right in front of you.
One thing is sure tho, there will come a time in the future where people will say that men and women contributed equally to the development of crypto world...and of course sissy bitches men will just nod their head and agree, and that will become the norm.

It is not christmas yet. Anyway, on 10 dec bitcoin will start futures trading...so it could pump up a lot before the end of the year, but it could also dump pretyy hard until then. I personally wont mind to see a little dip, because i would like to put my hand on some more satoshi until i lose this train forever . |

The TLDR of this is factoring travel costs and everything else you are still paying a HUGE MARKUP on hardware and its just not worth it.
Paying $2500 for a $1500 piece of hardware is just stupid no matter where in the world you are buying it. Just buy from bitmain and realize that even if it takes them 60 days to ship, at $0.10 power the machine only profits $400 a month at today prices. That means after 60 days you have only made $800 of the $1000 premium you paid so its actually a net loss.
Paying $1500 and waiting 60 days to mine on it is better than paying a premium of $2500 to get it early. Buying from the third party there is no guarantee you will be receiving a new device and it will not be covered by Bitmain in case you need to warranty it.
It should be pretty clear that paying a premium to get the machine early in the end will cost you more money and more headaches for no good reason.
Well, it does matter where in the world you are , in my country with the shipping and custom border taxes , an s9 is around 2000$. You must also take into consideration that the price of bitcoin could rise in the period you are waiting for the piece to come in. Also, do you mine with S9? because i dont know where you got that 400$ a month...unless you are mining with a 11.5th miner. |
