1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: October 21, 2022, 10:56:52 AM
You are right, this is always risky. The world is full of jealousy, envy and selfishness. I only share my success story with my close, trusted friend group and those who I see as being valuable in my life. Why? Well, because I'm not looking to be popular. I'm looking to build quality relationships with people who are on the same page as me, who will support me and vice versa. Also, I don't want people around me who are going to be jealous of my success or try to pull me down because they aren't achieving what I am.

Envy and jealousy is part of the gambling experience, even in land base casino, you will hear someone in the back if you are playing slot machine and you win big that they wish if was them in that place because they were just playing it a couple of minutes ago before you take that sit.

I'm not saying that everyone is like this, but there are many people who cannot handle your success and will try to take advantage of you.

Everyone will take advantage of everyone specially if it is a free ride. So if someone hear that you win big, they will be at your doorstep the next day begging for free money.
1662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Throwback: Bitcoin was $64k today, a year ago. on: October 21, 2022, 10:40:30 AM
Oh well how time flies isn't it, yeah I still remember when the price is above $60k because when I check my wallet I was surprised to see how much it has increased although I sold some earlier. (I still have some though up to this day and continue to accumulate).

Anyhow, history will repeat itself again, maybe in 2025, when the price is around 6 digits there will be a lot of tweets about the current price.
1663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto Twitter reacted to Kim Kardashian’s $1.26M SEC fine on: October 20, 2022, 09:57:47 PM
Is it possible that SEC doing this will have a positive effect on reducing the number of people investing in crypto scam?

It could be, that's there mandate as far as I know, inform people so that they won't fall for scam.

And if I'm not mistaken, many stars do really promote scam projects in the past but they just got slap in the wrist. And although Kim has been tag with millions of dollars I think it is quite small as a penalty.

Hopefully there will be no more scam attempts in the name of celebrity and let this be a lesson for fans not to fall for it an they have to check everything out and not just because their favorite celeb endorse it, it means that the project is going to be successful and not be scamming people.
1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mnemonic is no longer safe? on: October 20, 2022, 08:17:39 AM
For me it's safe, the thing is that how to back it up?

And maybe that's how hackers were able to get everything from your friend, did he write down his mnemonic phrase?

So it's really up to the individual safe practice, just don't safe it in the same machine, write it down just like old fashion, never put it online like in a cloud or something.
1665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: October 20, 2022, 01:58:08 AM
Sometimes I don't believe on some people kind of cryptocurrency prediction because they know very well that Bitcoin price can't Hit up to hundred thousand as some of us said, because if they will be change in Bitcoin price it's something that will start from the beginning of last year or early this year to show that it's good about cryptocurrency, i believe that price will rise but nothing something of this year because the year has already ended

But I guess there's nothing wrong throwing numbers that bitcoin can hit in the future, like 6 digits although it was predicted that we can hit that price in 2021, but it never happen.

But I remember that same in 2017 bull run, there is prediction that $50k could be reach, unfortunately, the bear market happen in 2018. So that could be the case in the next bull run, $100k could be the norm and the price could be as high as $300k as per the other thread in this board. And so time is one our side, just continue to accumulate in this bear market and hold till the next bull run.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 19, 2022, 11:12:20 PM
^ Career wise, yes Kambosos suffered 2 successive defeats in the hands of Haney.
But I don't see it as something that he needs and ponder retirement. He is just 29 years old and still in his prime. Of course he had made millions possible on his 3 last fight.
However, he can go, as he had said in post fight interview, this is just a setback and he will definitely will want to comeback strong next year and fight again. Fighters are measured on how they can bounce back after a huge defeat. He should cherry pick his opponent in his next fight though, just to bring back his confidence.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 19, 2022, 09:36:49 AM
in my opinion and from my boxing experience i think Akaho have more possibility to with then Casimero. Akaho is much strong player then Casimero and he have good fighting technique. If Akaho can't win then it can be drow. But is didn’t seeing any possibility for Casimero that can be won. i haven’t much experience in boxing but from my little experience I can make this prediction
Akaho can be a strong player but I don't think he can with Casimero, because Casimero is much stronger than Akaho and I also see that Casimero has more votes in this thread. How can you make a guarantee that Akaho will win here?  there the game hasn't started yet . I am assuming that you are not very knowledgeable about the sport of boxing and players

Just to be fair, Akaho has a fighting chance to win against Casimero. But the thing here, boxing fans know what Casimero can bring into this fight and as we read the comments, there are fans that are not familiar with Akaho and so they have to look at his records.

On the other hand, Casimero has been winning and used to be the champion in 118 lbs until he has issues with his weight and decided to move up now to 122 lbs and so this is first fight and we will know if the old Casimero will show and win by knockout or he can't bring his power to this division.
1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 19, 2022, 08:58:48 AM
If you are not ready to lost your money to the market, then stay off new projects. New projects are highly risky regardless of who is promoting the project. Shit do happen that's why influencers even with good intentions do add NFA- Not Financial Advise. At the end of the day, it's a huge risk.

This strategy is more typical for beginners who want to earn a big profit within a short period of time. As a rule, they have a small budget, and hope to increase it thousands of times, without having basic knowledge about how the cryptocurrency market works.

Yes, and that is very dangerous for newbies because of the risk as well. You can't blame them if they have small capital, majority of us started like that, but if they will look for some shitcoins and meme coins and think that it will make them millionaires then they are all wrong.

They should stick with the basic top 10 altcoins because after all they just have the beginner's mindset. And they have to really learn first and understand how the market works and not just put everything to risk, in my opinion.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 19, 2022, 08:22:08 AM

I guess their unification fight will still happen and it's inevitable because both of them are looking forward to make their own respective legacy, although I think there will be some stalling first  and knowing Casimero, he might bark to lift the hype until their fight is official. It might be delayed but it won't last long.

If Inoue will move up, there are champions that he has to beat, Casimero is not a champ so he also needs to win more fights like Inoue's gonna do. I hope to see them fight together because Casimero has been challenging Inoue when he was still a champion, but Inoue just ignore the challenge and fight an old Donaire, I don't know if he is just playing safe or what.

They will have to make way up before fighting the champion. Although Inoue might have the easiest way because he organizations might give him a freeway since he is a champion after all. So maybe Inoue will have 1 fight in 122 lbs, just to test the weight and fighters at this natural weight and after that, he will be set up against the current champion in this division. As compare to Casimero which might have to work very hard just to get a rank in the super bantamweight.
1670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency is silent why? on: October 19, 2022, 08:06:21 AM
For some months, cryptocurrency is in a down falling trend which is the main cause.
The market of cryptocurrency is not something we can as well think about, because when looking at it. Cryptocurrency is something we know falling is not a new thing and it's rising is not new experience starting from the introduction of the day Bitcoin was launched. So the falling of Bitcoin do cryptocurrency of the awareness worldwide and rising of Bitcoin is applicable to the impact the falling contributes in cryptocurrency acceleration as well.

It's not a new thing for us, but for those who are newbie here, this could be a surprised for them to see the market going down at the start of the month. Nevertheless, this is a bear market wherein the price really goes down throughout this cycle, around 3-4 years if I'm not mistaken.

So we need to have the mental fortitude and courage to just stay in the market for now. Or just simply buy during a dip because the price of bitcoin is at a discount.
1671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 18, 2022, 09:16:05 PM
Maybe the fight is still in December that's why there is no thread about this exhibition fight. But I agree that we missed Manny in the ring, and so this is the next big thing for us to see, him and DK Yoo in a exhibition match. His presence in Japan with Floyd shows that this might be Manny's thing in the future. And I do agree that this gesture of giving the money that we will be making in this fight for Filipinos is what distinguished Manny from other boxers like Floyd, they are all for the money.
1672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 18, 2022, 08:56:37 PM
Here is the result for the Devin Haney VS George Kambosos Jr.

Devin Haney VS George Kambosos Jr. ROUND 12 DECISION - WON

It was a war Devin Haney has many more clean shots than Kambosos that is for sure, but surely he can not underestimate Kambosos Jr. that withstands his flourished of punches and George Kambosos Jr. doesn't have much head movement, not like Devin Haney that has a lot of head movement, and the timing of the punches more technical and so Devin Haney really won this match,

Just as expected, Kambosos is not gonna make some difference in their rematch but he manage to improve, started strong and aggressive. Unfortunately, that didn't last and Haney overwhelmed him with clean shots where Kambosos expected it the least. Haney was just to quick to react and counter every movement of Kambosos.

And it just shows how great Haney is, I mean he saw what George is trying to do in the first couple of rounds, and so he adjusted and uses his boxing IQ to outwit Kambosos and then elevate his game to the next level.

Just like that he turn the fight around and dominated George for full 12 rounds and blood in Kambosos face shows that Haney really put everything in this fight.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out!! Exam-related questions on: October 18, 2022, 08:39:42 PM
That's a lot of question, and majority of it is not easy one to be honest, and even though we have been in crypto, still just to make sure, you need to do your research about the answers so that you don't have any qualms about it. And just like any other exam, you need to prepare and review and not ask anyone to help you out. If that is just one to 5 questions they maybe someone will give you something. And so with that, I advise the OP to do it by himself and not to be spoon feed by the community.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 16, 2022, 03:32:49 AM
Looks like Jordan Poole got his bag. 140 million dollar contract extension. I wonder if this would have played out differently without the Green incident. This pretty much seals Green’s fate with the Warriors. They can’t afford to pay him what he’ll want without paying half a billion dollars in luxury taxes. Now we wait and see if Draymond gets traded, opts into his player option for next year, or is involved in a sign and trade.

Wow, huge contract for a young Jordan Poole, but honestly he deserves that because he already played like a superstar, people are calling him the next Steph Curry so it's no surprised that the Warriors would invest in him. With regards to Draymond Green, I think there's a good chance that he'll be traded because no chance now that he will get a max contract.

Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, both of them have good contracts from the Warriors both $140++ contract extension. That is huge for this two young players and for sure they will be the next generation.

As for Green, he already sign his contract when he sucker punch Poole, Lol. And for sure he won't get that max contract and could leave next seasons if he opt to.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 16, 2022, 03:16:19 AM
If you are playing gambling for example slots and you double money with just a couple of bets on very early part of your game. Will you stop already or continue playing to earn more?

For me I will stop right away, I mean that is money and profit already in front of you, just get it and quit. However, let's say that in the previous days you lost big money and you are trying to recoup, then maybe you will have to extend and try to play for more.

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  Cheesy

Many of us have been in this situation many times already, but for sure, the end result is very different. There could be days that you want to quit and then want to lose. But there could be days that you want to play more and increase your bet.
1676  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price consolidation at $20k for 4 months on: October 15, 2022, 03:50:50 PM
and still continues until this month. I can say the current state of Bitcoin is a test of patience for holders. Whoever holds fast will arrive at the goal. Those who are weak will fall in the middle of the road because they let go.
We can still gain valuable experience from the $20K hold and the price below, which will allow us to see how the cycle of Bitcoin moves. Instead of worrying about not increasing as expected, we should better focus on the portfolio.
It seems like bitcoin wants to make many investors, especially small investors, impatient for another bull run.
With bitcoin prices persisting in the $18k-$20k range, sooner or later, it will trigger boredom in people holding bitcoins and maybe they will sell bitcoins little by little.
And when their boredom has peaked, the price of bitcoin will start to rally, gradually break the high price, and eventually arrive at the latest ATH.
Maybe this month, market conditions will continue, so we must be more patient in waiting for the bitcoin price to rise.
I don't think you can call it boredom. People will not sell because of boredom, people will sell because of panic, as has happened many times before. Weak hands will put their bitcoins into strong hands. And just the current consolidation of 18-20k may break and panic will happen. I think the scenario will be similar to 2018 and 2020, after which a new rise will start.

Yeah, I don't think that is boredom, that is their decision to sell in the bear market and quit the investing or trading and look for other means to make money.

But for the majority of us, this is the perfect opportunity, bear market is really worrying for first timers because the price is not moving just like what we have been seeing in the last 4 months. But this is a good time to invest because the price of bitcoin is really cheap and affordable and then have the patience to just being a holder and wait for the next bull run.
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have questions about XRP and Solo project on: October 15, 2022, 03:32:11 PM
I have two questions for XRP and Sologenic investors, thanks for your time

1. If XRP fails in the future will all XRP ledger projects face the same demise? Is Sologenic future dependant on XRP performance?

Thanks for taking your time to read

I will just answer the first question to the best of my knowledge.

Obviously, if XRP fails then future projects dependent of XRP will also die, it's a very simple logic. But the question is, what factors will cause XRP to fail? I mean it is one of the earliest crypto and that's why it has survived the test of time. Have been in the bear and bull market, seen the worst already. Not unless the people behind suddenly decided to quit and not maintain it which is unlikely to happen, in my opinion.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 15, 2022, 03:13:57 PM
Just like what happened with DeMarcus Cousins. Injuries after injury made him less valuable and even today he is having a hard time finding a team.

One of the worst things that happened in a player's history regarding the possibility of getting a good contract.

That year, I remember that he was already expecting a max contract in the off-season not just with the New Orleans Pelicans but on other teams as well. Unfortunately, the injury came and from there, he didn't have a chance now to taste a very good contract until his value depreciate up to this point.

I hope the Denver Nuggets can give him another shot even for 1-year basis.

As long as he remained healthy, he can still be a good asset coming off the bench.

He can be a great addition to the team, and that is proven because we've seen him already in the past playoffs his contribution was really valuable. I can't discount his will to contribute to the team, if only the coaching staff will give him enough playing time, he can give more help the team to win.
Fingers crossed my brothers. He proved himself well at that run with the Denver Nuggets, especially at the time when he was given more than 20 minutes of playtime.
Even until now, I am confused with why he is not signed yet. He trimmed his body weight, he can shoot threes from Warriors to Nuggets.
All he need is a contract.
I bet he is willing to take even a veterans contact just to show his skills again and how he is getting better after every season.

I have a speculation that maybe because of his attitude, team are not willing to give him at least 1 year to proved his worth in the NBA. But damn, during his prime, DeMarcus Cousins was beast and he was really huge that it's hard to stop him because of him being versatile, inside and out. And we thought that he can achieved success with the Warriors as well, but it was too bad that after he joined, some members too, got injured.
1679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What efforts have you made to raise bitcoin awareness in your community? on: October 14, 2022, 06:11:56 PM
As far as I can remember there are threads recently of members teaching bitcoin in their community, so that is a good start. And then some members who had businesses online and offline accepting bitcoin as well to raise awareness.

So there is a lot of effort that we can do, we can even talk to our friends around or even have small talks. Not necessarily about the benefit and what not, but just introducing bitcoin to them and wake up their curiosity about it is enough, in my opinion.
1680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why speculate when you can be at peace with Bitcoin on: October 13, 2022, 11:13:38 AM
We all have that price target until when we're going to sell. That's how we're going to proceed in the future and in the hopes of holding it until that day comes.
Holding is a patience game and those that can't take it anymore will have to sell at losses if they have to or if they're at profit, they will never know if they've maxed it out.
We've seen the condition into those people who had hold for a very long time specially into those early adopters which they had been rewarded that much considering that the value had risen up that high.

When you are just going for long term with Bitcoin then its true that you should really be at peace on whatever price you might able to buy in but just like on what others been saying that you would really be longing

for the cheapest price for you to utilize the profits you would make but those are just for short term span of time but if you are really that holding for decades
then you wont really be stressing yourself out.
It is a decision that the early holders will never regret because it's been rewarding for them. And on the other hand, those that have bought at the top and held, are only hoping to recover because they're down at these times.
But as they hold on, they should look at the other opportunities that are in front of them instead of thinking to recover. Because no matter what they do, recovery time will come and it's going to be shown if they're patient enough to see it.

Yeah and that is the beauty of crypto though, because there is a good chance that you can recover from the 'paper loses' you suffer. You can also lose if you don't sell at a lost, almost remember that. So even if you see your wallet value going down, it's doesn't mean you really lost that money. But if you continue to just hold and take every opportunity to accumulate then at certain point you will make profits guaranteed.
