1661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take good care of yourselves on: April 30, 2023, 03:58:58 AM
The fact that you are a bitcoin investor doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy your life and live good. It is normal to deprive your self from certain things to get what you want, every goal has a price tag and that is the sacrifice you do to achieve your goal.
Yes, it is risky
to starve and invest in bitcoin due to the longer period it takes for the investment to be profitable but it's worth it because life it's self is a big risk. But the aspect of not living good or eating good food because you want to invest in bitcoin is what i dont support. Whatever it is, make sure you eat good and stay healthy for proper investment.
Bitcoin investors' objective is to double or quadruple their capital in bitcoin, which is perilous because in a bear market, one might lose everything in the blink of an eye. Understanding how the market works and when to buy and sell is one of the most important factors that will make things easier than they appear. No matter what investment one's engage in, stay healthy in the market since there is more to learn than just starving. I don't recall starving myself for any investment; health comes first, then wealth. Sacrifices are made in order to reap big market gains.
1662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is your stand as a Bitcoin holder. on: April 30, 2023, 03:46:47 AM
As I currently engage in BTC trading, I find myself with on the last. I am not yet in a position to become a significant investor in the market. It remains uncertain if I will be able to expand my portfolio in the future, as I face challenges in increasing my Bitcoin holdings. Despite this, I am determined to continue striving towards becoming a long-term holder. While the amount I possess may be small, I take pride in being a mini Bitcoin holder.
I've made considerable amounts of money with Bitcoin. Trading it has become an obligatory habit for me in the market; I cannot spend a day without monitoring bitcoin charts and applying my technical analysis towards it. I've grown to be self-sufficient in the space, currently holding Bitcoin in my portfolio and hoping for good chances of bullish on the chart, I'm constantly hesitant when it comes to selling my Bitcoin because I remember how I suffered before I could get a hold on the pieces I'm in possession of, it's never an easy thing to bagged pieces of bitcoin during the bear season.
1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do with bitcoin? on: April 30, 2023, 03:34:25 AM
When Bitcoin hits 70k or 80k, I'll sell enough to pay off my student loans and take a nice vacation. After that, I'll keep holding on to it for the long haul. Who needs a Lambo when you can be debt free?
it's a good idea if there is a need, then it's not wrong to sell bitcoin according to needs, especially to pay off the remaining debt, we hold it for a long time to wait for the time when bitcoin will reach ATH again.
It is critical and prudent that we prioritize Bitcoin in the market because it is the only significant project in the space. Although needs do arise, we are obligated to solve our problems on our own without the assistance of others, especially since we are the breadwinners of the family. I understand how it feels to be in a tight spot when everyone requires your assistance to meet their needs and desires; of course, you can't fail them; instead, provide whatever assistance you can. I'm patiently waiting for Bitcoin to reach its all-time high in an uptrend on the chart, then I triggered my sell button.
1664  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: April 29, 2023, 04:07:17 PM
UI is great and user-friendly just like "imgBB", almost very similar to it. Plus the really like the idea but it makes difficult to protect our privacy, AFAIK, IMGUR and imgBB also record our IP to control spam but i don't know why someone who cares about his/her privacy and wants to keep their identity hidden, will use this platform, as they know the moderators of this tool is also on BTT and things can be sabotaged (no accusing just fact).

All existing services make this or another type of registration. In these services, you don't even know who is behind it, it could be someone who is also on Bitcointalk.
In this case, you know who you are dealing with, someone who is present and accessible, ready to clarify any questions.

Either way, you can always use VPN. The website does not have any limitations in this regard.

The website is mobile friendly, which is a significant advantage over Imgur, which requires a user to be on a desktop version to upload images and does not work on my mobile.

I'm afraid but I don't use sites without SSL because it simply sends the wrong message, it's a red flag for me I know it's not a big deal for some but it is for me or is the site still under development? How do you keep attackers from cloning this site if our data is not secure?
1665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It Won't Be Long. on: April 29, 2023, 03:00:46 PM
Consistency is the real deal and it is where the successful investors and the losers seperates off, those who people who keep making money on the market have the consistency about reading books that can help them to improve, keep evaluating their mental health, keep researching about latest news on their niches and also the focus that they give to what they do. Losers do not do that, they just simply study overnight and they think that they already knows anything and when they experience huge losses, they will ask theirselves if they did a wrong thing.

Market will eventaully rewards as if we did our part, so what is our part? It is by being consistent on learning new things about market. Once you made an investment on bitcoin or other assets, you are already a forever student in the market and you need to keep learning and growing to ride different opportunities. For me learning to be consistent is not easy work, iti takes time to be consistent and we can have it by developing good and healthy habits. Once we have consistency, it can help us to maximize our gains and see a lot of opportunities.
The foundation of everything in the market is determination and discipline; experiencing gains and losses, the countless times you stood back to your heel and kept pushing is consistency. Rewards are earned rather than given. Depending on the type of trader one aspires to be, the market can be either good or detrimental for them. Scalpers prefer the daily and smaller timeframes of the charts, while long-term traders wait months and weeks before wrapping up a trade. Opportunities emerge in the market on a daily basis; it is our responsibility to draft solid entrance into the market and activate our TP when they achieve our targets. Consistency is important in the market; it is difficult to begin learning at first, but as time passes, it becomes a daily routine. We all need to adapt to the new era of our generation which is the digital age. Following up trending news and price actions in the market with full confidence of gaining from it specifically profits and vital information.
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 29, 2023, 02:34:02 PM
Ordinarily, I don't like asking questions like this because I feel they're personal questions that should be answered by myself alone but it has been on my mind for a very long time and I have not gotten a solution for it.

I have a friend that works hard. He does two jobs and he makes a lot of money. Most of his money is in a savings bank account where he saves them. He doesn't have any use for it right now so the money is just sitting pretty in that account. Lately, I've been having the urge to advise him to buy Bitcoin with like 40% of his savings and HODL. Holding won't be an issue for him because he has the patience of an old man. He has left the savings in his account for over two years without touching it. Now imagine him transferring that energy to Bitcoin.

The problem is, someone has convinced him to buy altcoins before now, I think in late 2021 or thereabout. He bought three different altcoins for about $500 and now two out of the three coins he bought are worthless. one is worth about $0.045. The price ain't the issue, the issue is these coins are not like Bitcoin that will rise again.
I have explained all he needs to know about Bitcoin to him and he understands. He understands how Bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme, the risk, and the patience involved.
He buys into the idea but I'm still having doubts. I don't want to look like a fraud when things don't work out. I mean, I can speculate about the market all I want, but I can't be sure what tomorrow brings.

So should I go ahead and advise him to buy Bitcoin or I should leave him to come to me himself? Because he will buy it if I ask him to.

Advice is simply assistance offered to those around us in order for them to understand our point of view about something. Your friend is fortunate to have you; not all friends can supply critical information, especially when there is a good probability of making substantial figures in crypto. Bitcoin has had more dumps and pumps in recent decades; this is notable, and we should maintain a positive attitude about the project. I've put 20% of my savings into Bitcoin, and believe me when I say it's worth it. Taking massive profits as bitcoin launched a market bull run. It is better to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum rather than altcoins that lack market roadmaps and get delisted from exchanges. Altcoins can't survived the bear season, although altcoins have their specific bull season, if memory serves, GMT and Shiba Inu generate massive profits and beautiful smiles on the faces of investors and traders.
1667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 29, 2023, 02:17:49 PM
Of course it is possible for a start, and if you can make it grow by at least 1$ a day or more because the trading fee is also small and it depends on the exchange you use. it means you are good at trading activity and you have knowledge of cryptocurrency.

Just don't take a risk if you know how to avoid wasting the money you put in there, because whether your capital is small or large,
we should appreciate it.
Taking risks has become a daily practice for consistent traders, and some even go so far as to increase their lotsize in order to quadruple their trading money. Generating money in trading is simple if you follow 80% accurate fundamental or technical analysis. Trading is risky; even professional traders lose money. $30 is a fair amount to begin trading bitcoin; however, considering it is a cryptocurrency, one must exercise extreme caution when placing trades. Risk management is another component that contributes to effective support for traders and decreases trading account liquidation.
1668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the do's and dont's of signature on: April 28, 2023, 02:07:37 PM
You shouldn't forget that it's not a must to be paid before you can promote a signature campaign if you liken the campaign you can just decide to promote them for free and secondly, you can also promote your own company with your signature space as long as it's not NSFW content and your sig link won't direct users into a malware website, make sure you know about what it is that you're promoting.

Unless the campaign manager permitted to you to wear a signature it's wrong to wear a signature if you're not part of the of that campaign that's why manager always ask wherever they remove from their campaign to remove signature and avatar immediately. You can't just pick up the Bestchange signature and wear just because you like it can you?

While analyzing the posting patterns of "martyns" and his alternate accounts, "BlackViruse" and "Blackpussy," I stumbled upon a curious grammatical mistake where the term "ideal" was wrongly used instead of "idea". This error caught my attention since I've never encountered anyone from the English-speaking community who confuses the usage of these words.

It's not an error; it's fairly common among Nigerians; the "Ideal" is mostly used for pidgin English, but the "idea" one never comes to mind.

If you search the board for those keywords, you'll almost certainly link the entire board together. Good luck.

Wait, can you explain why all of you are writing "ideal" instead of "idea"?
Maybe you were going to the same school and your teacher misspelled "idea"?

I just did. We use English and still fail English at school  Grin
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 28, 2023, 06:36:18 AM
The Champions League can't just depend on one player. even though messi is a sensational player but depending on Messi in the Champions League and blaming him when he fails is a condition that is quite childish I think.
This requires team harmony and not just an individual thing when it comes to bigger competitions.
Champions league is a tough competition, PSG are still yet to possess the qualities needed before they can emerge winner for the trophy. Leo Messi is big name in football and his presence on the pitch frightened his opponents, he's always one step ahead of everyone on the pitch. Pouring blames on Leo Messi whenever the Parisians get eliminated from the champions league is probably not a good idea, he's not the only player on the pitch, besides he's frontline and what happens to the defendlines? They're the ones to be blamed to defend poorly against their opponents, leading to their exits from UCL.

I don't see any concrete evidence of linked accounts here, P2P transactions between multiple accounts are more likely to occur outside of the forum if the accounts in question are from the same region or share the same local board. Nigerians' only way of converting BTC to Naira is through P2P, and it's possible that 2-3 people are using the same Merchants on P2p exchange to deposit their weekly earnings and receive Naira in return; your findings fit perfectly into my explanation; the accounts could be using the same Marchant, but I personally don't see any connection here.

Like I said they are free to explain here. What you said is also possible. I admit I have to change neutral a bit and will edit some part but it will stay as a warning to anyone dealing with them until they come and explain this with proofs.

A simple neutral is not a bad ideal until the accounts gives some explanations but my case is likely to be the reason looking at the amount of BTC the receiver wallet is currently hodling

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/33GPgbaJuSaMyBo8tuhe6HhRunptrE8xVS The wallet in question hasn't received coin since last month and hasn't sent out coin in over a year, suggesting that it's a merchant wallet; these accounts join signature to feed rather than to save earnings. The wallet contains approximately $4k, which is approximately 2-2.5 years of signature savings for Full member rank. c'mon

Poker player If you are unsure and don't know what to do, use neutral; additionally, because this is an ongoing case with no conclusion, your red is inappropriate.

The word EITHER indicates that you have no idea what is going on and are unsure that these accounts are linked.

This appears to be an attack on a specific region, which is not acceptable.

If you think that I took users from Nigerians local board and connected them then you are wrong. I started with simple wallet digging is that's all. I have connected 3 accounts with martyns out of which 2 users haven't posted in Nigerian board ever. So its a humble request to not make such remarks which are not true.

LordHermes has been and continues to be one of the early users who fought for the local board, he has many posts there https://ninjastic.space/post/56982382 and the two others may have their own personal reasons why they choose to stay away from the local board, there are three legendary members who are Nigerians but also disassociate themselves from the local board and their secrets are safe with me
1673  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discussion on buying/selling accounts/users actively seeking possible bought acc on: April 27, 2023, 07:47:22 PM
Account selling undermines our Merit system as well because Account selling is similar to buying Merit. Buying Merit is not allowed, too.
+1
This is the strongest argument I have ever seen on BTT in favour of tagging sold accounts.

This is a bogus argument; there are tons of people who buy accounts with literally zero merit (Newbies rank) and zero reputation and build them to the highest rank; this is the internet, and there are people who prefer to join a forum or social media with accounts that have no connection to their real life details, not because they intend to scam with them, but because they do not trust the internet with their sensitive information. Are you aware that this forum stores the first registrant's IP address? Furthermore, the forum, like any other social media, does not prohibit buying of accounts

The DT system is only for scammers and high risk trade zones; tagging someone with zero scam history, who bought an account to participate in discussion and forum activities is clearly an abuse of the system.

If we wake up one day to find out that Yahoo62278, LoyceV or Royse777's accounts were bought, are we going to disregard all of their positive contributions and the current people behind these accounts and start tagging them to ruin them just because they were bought? Then something is wrong with our cognitive abilities.

Op you should have added a poll
1674  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 27, 2023, 06:21:25 PM
I've followed a pattern (Receive Signature earning and move to some exchange or other address) and I have got some more accounts connected here:
/Snip
Everyone should be given chance to explain themselves so I asking @blackened515, @LordHermes and @omgitsmehehe to post here to explain the situation here and will see how the community sees this.

And as for the distribution of merits, whatever anyone does with his or her merits is none of your business as long as he or she is not trading them. Backscratching is permitted here.

This appears to be an attack on a specific region, which is not acceptable.

So, I've taken an aggressive approach on the subject.

I've updated my trust list, btw.

You're abusing the DT system; tagging a neg does not justify your claims; just because you have one does not mean everyone should.
1675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will you sell because of situations? on: April 27, 2023, 03:01:36 AM
Situations like this, we don't even require a second thought; sell it off and solve the problem. That's the most important part of saving: for our savings to save us in the future in times of need. If you keep on calculating whether or not you are to stake your savings over saving the girl's life, you might end up regretting your actions for the rest of your life. Your question is just so unreasonable so the best option will be to liquidate your bitcoin investment and save your little sister. what  the reason for us to invest in bitcoin, to get reach, and to solve our problems.
Different problems comes with entirely different risks, bitcoin is for the public and those who embrace development. I've triggered the sell option several times specifically during my school days, when I eas really in need to pay off my textbooks and got nothing left because I've exhausted my savings in fiat currency, I switched to Bitcoin and sold some pieces of the coin when it was still very much considerable amount in the bull season. There's absolutely nothing wrong with selling bitcoin when it's have higher advantages in our daily lives.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 26, 2023, 03:11:07 AM
Tomorrow we will have the second leg of the Semifinal of the Italian cup.

It's time for Inter Juve again, the result of the 1st leg was 1-1
Juventus, I am sure, will be the winner in this match because seeing their enthusiasm is very good when the point deduction they have is canceled, so that the players have a high sense of enthusiasm to win. Inter must remain careful, and because of the possibility that Juventus will exert all their strength in this match, Inter must also keep trying so that it is not easily beaten by Juventus.
Juventus and Inter Milan are elite clubs in Seria A and they've both won the Scudetto in the past years. Seria A clubs are edging higher in top competition this season, two Seria A club facing each other in the semi final of UCL and also Coppa Italia. I've place my bet in favor of Juventus, they need to grab a hold of a trophy this season. Juventus had a 1-1 draw tie against Inter Milan in the first leg of the coppa Italia at Allianz stadium. A tough fight to proceed to the final and it's really one of the top competition for the Old lady's this season.

Aren't you the same person whitelisting them back to the forum now? how many of those users became a big part of the forum well I don't expect you to answer

Sorry Op for going off-topic

I don't know why but I feel like you are trying to trigger him (good try). None of them are paid jobs. He is doing it voluntarily and he is not responsible for what they do after. Most of His whitelisted users doing good. He often posts the Ban %. If you are trying to trigger him, I am sorry but he is unlikely to pay attention to you as he proved himself as a thick-skinned gang leader.

We were just having a chat and he felt it wasn't the proper place because it was a little off-topic from the OP, I simply made my perspective plain to him, it's nothing personal, and BTW, we're still on the same track. Leave it to the moderator to decide and quit pressing.

I have to ask out of curiosity, and due to my own thread on the issue, which AI detectors are you going to use, and how are you weighing the results? Are there different levels of likeliness, or will it only post replies in threads that come back as "highly likely" to be AI-generated?

I use at least three different AI checking websites. Or more than three if even one of them doubts that the text is not completely AI-generated. I do not use the GPTZero website - I had too many false positives with it.

This is somewhat preferable to the previous plan, but my concern is what would happen if everyone disregards the JAPI response and proceeds with their discussion regardless of whether it was generated by AI or not, similar to this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448187.msg62145641#msg62145641. Since there are currently no explicit forum rules against AI and no 99% proved AI detector tools, nobody appears to care and the moderator won't lock a thread just because JAPI says so. there is a light at the end of the tunnel but the challenges looks bigger.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 25, 2023, 05:39:28 AM
Atalanta really deserved the victory from Roma, because Roma performance was very poor from the beginning of the match till the end of the match that made them to defeated Roma 3-1 to embraced the three points. I think, Roma coach need to work hard to help the team to return back to second position in the Italian league table, because their next match is going to be a tough match which they need to prepare well so that they will experience victory from the match. Roma strikers are doing well but their defense and midfield are not too strong compared from the beginning of this tournament that made them to defeated many strong teams which they can still do it in the remaining matches to improve their points.
AS Roma got defeated and it wasn't their expectations in the game, with full domination of the game. Jose Mourinho was disappointed with match results because his intended action is to win a spot in the champions league next season, mistakes from his players. They got too comfortable with the ball and forget to net a goal when they got the chances to levelled the game. Atalanta on the other hand were serious and never planned for a draw, the way they attack and defend their territory was incredible, not easily invaded by Roma.

For the JARPI bot, no matter how hard you spin those texts manually, they won't be original, and have you considered the amount of posts this bot will be posting per day since it triggers every time someone asks a question, or are there limitations I'm not aware of, this AI thing is getting out of hand, these tools would render some of our education sector useless, resulting in the loss of jobs if nothing is done now.

I haven't ran JARPI ever since the manual experiment earlier last week.
Okay, what were the response speed and success rate? I appreciate the time and effort you have put into this, but I'm concerned that this bot will hijack every thread and post thousands of times per day, this is one part you are yet to address.

I can't check every individual on the list, but I'm sure most became active forum users
Cute. But wrong. I checked the first 10, and 9 of them have 0 posts (AKA Nuked). One of them has 580 Activity now, and 0 Merit because bounty spam isn't worth Merit.

How about you check all this links before ticking the wrong box for me? I bet many survived and are doing pretty good now.

and those who were nuked moved on to open new accounts. Nothing was solved
Hundreds of farmed account were Nuked and their IP-addresses got evil point for it. Of course there will always be spammers, but every account that gets banned is one spammer less. The fact that there's much less spam now than we had 4 years ago confirms it's working.

I'll end this discussion here. If you want to continue this, feel free to open another topic for it.

You don't expect the admin to ban someone for 6 nasty posts, do you?
The forum would be better without such users.

That's why we have mods; report them and let them do their thing; they follow the rules; 6 ugly shit shouldn't get anyone banned.

Remember when you asked the Admin to ban DdmrDdmr for spamming when he was a newbie?
That's a different case: DdmrDdmr's username came up in an automated search, which wasn't meant to be exhaustive. Luckily, the Mods did their checks. Around the same time hundreds of users got banned based on the list I provided.

It's the same thing; you pushed hard to have everyone on that list nuked. Fortunately, the moderators did their jobs; I can't check every individual on the list, but I'm sure most became active forum users, and those who were nuked moved on to open new accounts. Nothing was solved
