1661  Other / Meta / Re: Use Of Multiple Accounts on: February 06, 2023, 11:34:55 AM
I've seen many Accounts with negative trust on this forum. When I checked I discovered their offence was the use of Multiple Accounts.

Having multiple accounts is not an offense by itself on this forum. If you encounter a negative trust rating with such an explanation, it is a sign of misuse of the trust system. (I honestly didn't notice such trust ratings from DT members based on multiaccounting. Perhaps you have some example to show?)

My question is
Why do people use Multiple Accounts?
Does it mean that one Account is not enough to post on this forum?

People use multiple accounts on online forums for different reasons, and there is no one-size-fits-all explanation. Some use it to maintain anonymity, others to express varying opinions, and some just for the enjoyment of having multiple online identities. The motivations behind this usage can vary greatly from person to person.

1663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the origins of provably fair technology in gambling? on: February 06, 2023, 08:59:45 AM
I cannot find anything of use on my net search about the history of provably fair. The application of the tech probably started or was made popular by crypto gambling platforms. Traditional casinos only has tools to "prove" randomness like an RNG Certificate but never heard of any player having the means to verify the result.

Yes. The concept of 'provably fair' technology in gambling can be traced back to the rise of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. When Bitcoin came around in 2009, it brought a new level of transparency and trust to financial transactions. And that's what got people thinking, "Hey, why not use this technology to make online gambling fair too?" This, in turn, inspired the idea of using cryptographic algorithms to ensure fairness in online gambling.

Blockchain was mentioned, so obviously, these words started in the crypto world. And it simply means that results are verifiable in the blockchain, without a blockchain it cannot be called a Provably fair game.

Your first sentence is logically flawed. Merely mentioning something does not necessarily make it a reliable fact to base a conclusion on. Also, I have to correct you on your second statement. While 'provably fair' technology may use similar methods to blockchain, like cryptography, it doesn't necessarily mean it requires blockchain to be considered valid. There are numerous examples of online casinos that have adopted 'provably fair' methods that don't involve blockchain or cryptocurrencies in any way.
1664  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Street Selfie? Why all these crazy requirements in the name of KYC verification? on: February 06, 2023, 08:09:59 AM
So if you are going to sign up under these terms, then there is no point getting angry when they are enforced. It's your fault and your fault alone for not reading them before you deposited.
Technically, that's probably true. But morally, I don't like it. If I'd have to read through everything I have to agree to on a daily basis, I don't have time left for anything else. Cookie messages alone can be many pages, terms and conditions are easily tens or even hundreds of pages. Most people just click "accept" without even reading them, and I can't really blame them.

Personally, I find the notion of having to constantly agree to lengthy terms and conditions and cookie notifications quite frustrating. It seems that every website or app is like, "Hey, check out these 10 pages of fine print before you use us." Who's got the time for that? The truth is, most people don't have the patience to read through all of these agreements, and as a result, they often click "accept" without truly understanding what they are agreeing to. This is a concerning issue as it raises questions about privacy, data protection, and informed consent. In my opinion, there needs to be a better solution that balances the need for legal protection with the rights and interests of the user.

1668  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: February 03, 2023, 08:51:31 PM
hello, new here but i've opened an account like 4 months ago and been doing pretty well in 1 particular sport, but since last week i'm limited on my bets, like i can only bet a super small amount. Anyone like me and how to resolve it (new account ?) thanks

It's not uncommon for betting sites to enforce such restrictions, especially if they suspect something fishy or if you've been on a winning streak. Have you tried contacting Cloudbet customer support yet to see what's going on? They might be able to explain the situation and help you fix it.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 03, 2023, 03:18:58 PM
Argentina is definitely strongest of all but this time Brazil were really unlucky as they were knocked out by Croatia in quarter-finals in penalty shootout.

So, according to you, Brazil was unlucky for losing in a semi-final penalty shootout, but at the same time, Argentina is the strongest for winning the final, also in a penalty shootout? That's absurd!

And Belgium didn't even made it to quarter-finals.

And Italy didn't even qualify for WC 2022. But that doesn't mean it's a weak team.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your earliest Gambling Story? on: February 03, 2023, 01:23:52 PM
Yeah, same here! It was back in my high school days too. A bunch of my friends started placing bets at sportsbooks on their commute to and from school. And, when all my friends were doing it, I felt like I had to join in. It's pretty funny to think about it now, but at the time, there wasn't even a law in place in my country to prevent underage gambling. Times have definitely changed!

We were just playing for fun, you know, just to pass the time. But then one day, I started losing more than I could afford. It was a wake-up call for me and I realized that gambling with real money wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. But hey, it was a good lesson learned and now I just stick to playing for fun.
1671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 01:06:47 PM
Yup, I know that some casinos give back by donating a portion of their revenue for charitable causes and to make a positive impact on the world. It's all part of being a responsible business and giving back to the community. They call it corporate social responsibility and it's supposedly a way for companies to make a positive impact on society, although I personally think that it's more about just another way of promoting companies.

But when it comes to the world of crypto gambling, I'm not sure if the same level of social responsibility is being upheld. As the crypto industry is still relatively new and unregulated, it may not yet have established norms for corporate social responsibility in the same way that traditional brick-and-mortar casinos have.
1672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 03, 2023, 10:20:43 AM
The two strongest teams in Qatar 2022 were Argentina and Brazil. No one will deny that. All the other teams (including European teams such as France and Spain) would rank much below them. I agree that France managed to reach the finals, but they were lucky to avoid good opponents during the knockout phase. And one more thing. European teams perform well only when the tournaments are staged in Europe. This time the tournament was being held in Qatar, and teams such as Germany and Belgium had a horrible run.

You do know that Brazil was kicked out of the World Cup in quarterfinal game by Croatia? I'm not saying that Croatia has a better team than Brazil, but saying that Brazil was one of the two strongest teams in the World Cup is ridiculous. Your other statement that France managed to get to the finals by avoiding good opponents goes into the same category. They beat England in the quarterfinal and you are saying that they avoided good opponents? England isn't a good opponent?

He is probably referring to the FIFA World Rankings table post-World Cup in Qatar, where Brazil and Argentina hold the top two spots, making them the two highest-ranked teams in the world.

As for the second part of his statement about France and the European teams, I fully agree that it's ridiculous. Luck does indeed have a role in these competitions, but suggesting that a team had better luck in facing a specific opponent in the knockout phase is irrelevant. In the same vein, one could argue that Argentina was lucky in the final as they defeated France only through penalty kicks and not through regular play. Furthermore, there hasn't been a World Cup without at least one European team in the final since 1950.

Thanks bro. But for more understanding not everyone know how to use the hard wallet, that's why person make use of the elecctrum wallet. But u can educate us more on hard wallet cause even I don't have idea on how to use hard wallet.

How did you figure out how to use the Electrum wallet? Was it through reading the instructions or maybe watching a video tutorial? Well, you can learn how to use a hardware wallet just the same. There's really not much difference between the two, and using a hardware wallet ain't rocket science.
1674  Other / Meta / Re: Good move or nah? on: February 03, 2023, 08:02:43 AM
As a general guideline, online forums and communities tend to have a minimum age requirement of 13 in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). However, as mk4 said, there is nothing stopping someone under 13 from registering on a forum, just as there is nothing stopping them from using other social networks or online services, unless a KYC (or at least DOB) verification is required.

The responsibility for protecting minors of this age online falls on their parents and legal guardians, therefore it is crucial for them to monitor their online activities, checking the sites they visit and ensure that they are not being exposed to harmful or inappropriate content. In addition, it's a good idea to teach them about staying safe online, like how to keep their personal information private, how to avoid being bullied online, and what to do if they come across something that makes them feel uncomfortable.

We are a decentralized platform so there is no problem with the age...

No, we are not. This forum is a centralized platform through and through. You may have confused Bitcointalk.org with Bitcoin.  Wink

(...) LL stopped posting here, and even up until now, it seems no member from the Bitvest team has ever come here to share with the community what is really going on (...)

The question that bothers me is - is there actually any "team" or is it just a one-man band (LL). Has anyone had any success in getting any response outside of bitcointalk, i.e. are they responding to submitted tickets etc?

As far as I'm aware, there was at least one other member who was involved in developing Bitvest and 777Coin casinos, and that's Zodiac1233. Though he hasn't been active on the forum for a year, his latest post suggests that he's still a part of the team.

My questions here are not, in fact, between I AS CUSTOMER vs BOOKMAKER, about how to get past the multiple account detection systems of the sites
<...>

So you're basically looking for help on how to cheat at the casino? I'm sorry my friend, but cheating is not only unethical, it's also illegal. Not to mention the fact that casinos take cheating very seriously and have advanced measures in place to detect and prevent it.

Sorry, buddy, but you're in the wrong place if you're looking for tips on how to bend the rules at the casino. You see, folks like you make it tough for honest players who just want to enjoy a little gambling fun. And let's be real, if you get caught cheating, you'll probably come back here and play the victim, complaining about how the casino "unfairly" banned you and took all your money. So save us all the drama, and play fair.
1677  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin wallet users, have you ever? on: February 02, 2023, 09:05:04 PM
Yes, generating a Bitcoin address offline is possible and even recommended option. This method of creating a new wallet and generating addresses without the use of the internet enhances the security of your funds. As for transaction fees, there are numerous wallets that support automatic and manual fee adjustment for Bitcoin transactions. And, just a heads up, don't call it "gas fee". That's not a term typically used for Bitcoin network.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: really no kyc crypto casino on: February 02, 2023, 06:38:52 PM
If you don't use big money to deposit and gamble or withdraw a big amount of winning money, you won't be asked to do KYC.

Nah, that's not the case. Don't believe that you won't be asked for KYC just because you're not using a ton of money for gambling or withdrawals. KYC is a common thing that lots of online gambling sites do to make sure they know who their customers are. So, even if you're not betting big bucks, you might still get asked to do KYC.

But casinos can ask you whenever they want because that is their place of business.

Now you are contradicting yourself.
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: February 02, 2023, 05:13:41 PM
I'm more of a old school kind of person. I prefer classic gambling (if online casinos can even be called classic gambling), although I'm familiar with PvP gambling, where individuals compete against each other in games of skill or chance, rather than against a casino or house. However, I do see the appeal of PvP gambling as well. The idea of going head to head with other individuals, rather than against the house, adds a whole new level of challenge and excitement. It's great to see the growth of online card games and esports tournaments, which provide a platform for PvP gambling. In the end, it's all about personal preference. Some people love the classic casino experience, while others prefer the challenge of PvP gambling.
