1661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Avoid Ponzi/Ponzi scheme is a scam on: May 09, 2023, 06:10:53 PM
Be aware of GMG website, should Incase kind of website will be close to your country, this site is a ponzi scam website where you will be asked to invest with the them, some days a go some people who invested with site because of a skirt Maker who promoted the site and many people thought with the skirt Maker who is promoting the GMG website that the site will be legit. So I'm of the opinion that we should avoid ponzi scheme and also make sure we make a research properly before investing in a newly created website. To inform you very well the website has crashed and people who invested their money, all are lost. Let everyone be careful for investment.
Except in the US, I have not heard of any law that gives investors the right to sue celebrities for promoting investments that ended up becoming scams. So these celebrities have the privileged of promoting any service or coin without verifying the credibility of these companies. They are mainly driven by greed and personal gains rather than the security of their followers. Even if there are laws that give such rights to victims of fraud, I would never accept any financial advice from any celebrity without doing my research and verifying the product or service. If I have any questions, the forum is big enough for solutions and answers. Anyone that is in a haste to make big gains will always be very easy to be scammed.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 09, 2023, 05:21:39 PM
Dortmund have a chance to win the title if they are able to continue their consistently good performances. However, Bayern Munich's performance from the Dortmund team is regular and stable. Bayern Munich will face Schalke, Leipzig and Koln in the next three matches. Munich wins easily against Schalke but is likely to drop points against Koln and Leipzig. On the other hand, Dortmund's opponents Augsburg and Gladbach are quite strong. It is not guaranteed that the Dortmund team will win each of their upcoming matches. I will put the Munich team ahead. This team's performance is a bit erratic right now but their squad is very experienced.
The only reason why the league title race is still open is because of the inconsistency of the dominant teams: Bayern Munich and Leverkusen. Both teams have not been consistent this season. It might also be that the performance of other teams has increased greatly. Games at the end of the season are hard to predict because even relegation-bound teams are improving their performance to avoid relegation. Predicting that Bayern will have a cheap victory against Schalke might not be the case because the latter is struggling to avoid relegation. The Bundesliga title is open for the three top teams but Leverkusen might likely win it because Tuchel has not fully stabilized the Bayern. Although they have won their two last games, the team is not yet stable. The best of Munich will be more visible next season.
1663  Economy / Reputation / Re: TecShare - Farewell my friend. on: May 09, 2023, 04:23:42 PM
I have gone through many comments about the late member TECSHARE and I am impressed by the kind of life he lived. Some people noted that they didn't agree with him on some issues but he was nice. He respected other people's views in the course of disagreement. From what I have read he was an active businessman and nobody came up with any accusation of fraud or cheating. He trusted people and he was dependable. This is how I want to be remembered when I leave this world because a good name is better than silver and good. My condolences to his family and friends.

OP don't be offended by the skepticism you experience when you broke the news. The world is now filled with evil that even good is assumed to be evil because of the fear of consequences of believing evil.
1664  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with all guy who loss money to stock market on: May 09, 2023, 03:44:27 PM
They are all promised to have retirement, stable and passive income, happy ending, fast car, fast house, fast woman, big fat profit, millionaire, high risk high return. Some of them got into big loan and loss everything, while they are still having to pay their loan. Are they gonna get a refund? The broker tell me stock market would make a come back again, it is just a cycle thing, technical correction, everybody would get their refund when market come back again. Now is the best time to buy low, when they market come back, it is your chance to retire young retire rich.
I don't blame some elderly people that lost money in stocks. They had to rely solely on brokers and financial advisers for investment advice. There was no internet when some of them invested in stocks, so they didn't have access to the kind of information the present generation have. Some of my teachers have died due to wrong financial advice that made them broke.

But relying on anybody for financial advice in this current era is a sign of laziness. There are diverse investment opportunities that anybody can discover through personal research. For those that have lost money, "sorry" and others that are seeking investment avenues  "do your research".
1665  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Delay your Bitcoin transaction for this week| Volunteer campaign on: May 09, 2023, 01:52:08 PM
We all know the problem of the recent high bitcoin fees and because we can't do much, at least postpone all your bitcoin transactions for this week, including a call to all signature campaigns and your friends to postpone payment for this week for several days.
This is a good solution for those that don't depend on Bitcoin for daily business transactions. I know some businesses that are highly reliant on Bitcoin as a means of payment for imports. This will affect the business negatively. But for those that don't depend on bitcoin, there is no need to congest the Bitcoin network. This situation might also be designed by some forces to spread FUD. So we must do all we can to reduce the impact of their actions. This BRC-20 tokens hype will soon die down and the main pool will become free thereby leading to a drop in transaction fees. After all, this is not the first time such an attack is happening, bitcoin will surely overcome.
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prize day on: May 08, 2023, 05:30:12 PM
I decided to give out little from what I have benefited from my campaign signature pay to the best students on bitcoin, based on what I have taught them so far. I came up with an idea of giving them a quiz,so that I will give out prizes to the best students. The quiz was successful conducted by the school authorities in my presence. It was very pleasing to see how wonderful this students performed in the quiz, but there must be a winner in every competition.

With high inflation, everybody is seeking avenues to make more money. But you have decided to give from the little you earn. This is an act of selflessness and a show of brotherly love. Thank you for telling people about Bitcoin and showing that Bitcoiners care about the welfare of the people in society. I also went you to follow up with Samson Appah because he might be interested in Bitcoin. If he is interested in Bitcoin, an Android phone or a fairly used laptop would have been an ideal gift. These are just my suggestions, maybe he needs the bicycle more.

Quote
My question is don't you think that I am using those students wrongly to help spread bitcoin awareness.
2. Will you encourage me to tell my new colleagues in my new place of work about bitcoin or just pipe low, until someone that is interested on bitcoin needs guide or assistance in the adoption of bitcoin.

I see myself as a Bitcoin promoter. Mass adoption of Bitcoin will be beneficial to the community. So I utilize every opportunity to create Bitcoin awareness. I am encouraging you to tell as many people as you can.
1667  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 08, 2023, 04:14:55 PM
So yes, would you consider moving abroad for a better future? Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?
Financial reason is one of the major reasons why people migrate to other countries. But other reasons will discourage me from moving out of my country. Remember you cannot enjoy the rights and privileges you enjoy in your home country in a strange land. Sometimes you might suffer from racism or segregation because you are an immigrant. If I have a good online job that has a lucrative salary I might decide to remain in my country instead of going abroad and be treated as a modern slave.

Another alternative could be moving out of my country, endue the problems for a few years, raising capital, returning to my country, and starting up a good business.
1668  Economy / Reputation / Re: Heads up on this user on: May 08, 2023, 12:55:40 PM
Anyone can come on this forum that needs someone's service in return for money. What I am saying is that you supposed to add the person's username so that we can all know the person's username.
Sorry , I forgot to add the profile link. I added it.

Also as I mentioned. No money was involved but his actions was unethical and something that should be avoided.
The business world has a standard business approach that should be followed. It is possible that this user doesn't understand business ethics which was why he refused to respond. He might feel that since no party has performed any service or made any payment, the business can be called off without information. I have experienced this behavior many times with prospective clients. Maybe he has gotten another person to perform the service. But the ideal thing was to inform you of his final decision. He has not been active since April 26th, so there might be the possibility that he might be going through some unpleasant situation. However, Op took a good decision by requesting an escrow, and thank God nobody got cheated.

1670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there boards or threads that a newbie is not supposed to post in? on: May 07, 2023, 11:25:44 PM
Hello everyone.... I've seen handful of boards and threads that I can make reasonable contributions to by sharing my knowledge about some of the topics that are being discussed in these boards and threads but as a newbie, I don't wanna make unnecessary mistakes and that brings me to the question of "Are there boards and threads I'm not supposed to post in as a newbie"?
I also felt the same way in my early days in the forum. But if you are sure there are relevant knowledge you can share in a thread, the best option is to share it. This is because it will help the members of the forum and also increase your reputation. Being scared of making mistakes is normal but we all make mistakes. The only difference is that some people learn from corrections, while others become offended and fail to learn. We all are here to learn and learning involves mistakes and corrections. I have made some mistakes in the forum and some cases the response of members are unfriendly but I overlook the unpleasant words and learn from some useful responses. Just ensure that what you are posting will be beneficial and forget about the aftermath. Wishing you all the best.
1671  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How would you invest N100,000? on: May 07, 2023, 11:04:23 PM
How would you invest N100,000? Break it down into 3 categories - Low risks, medium risks, and high risks investments.
My only potential option if I have N100,000 to invest will be to buy and hodl Bitcoin. My reason is that I have an interest mainly in long-term investment since I already have a trade that gives me daily income. But to answer your questions.

Low risk investment: I will consider buying cheap land in a rural area and keeping it for years. I will resell it when the price appreciates. Some farmlands in the interior area of my state can cost less than the amount stated above.

Medium risk investment: I will invest the money in buying of raw matreials such as cassava and using it to process garri that will be sold. Garri can be sold profitably in urban areas.

High-risk investment: it will be investing all in Bitcoin. Since the price is volatile, the coin is a high risked business. But it will be my first choice because I am not seeking instant profit.
1672  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Importance of entrepreneur in school curriculum on: May 07, 2023, 10:36:40 PM
Entrepreneurial education is important because citizens must be trained not to rely on the government for employment opportunities. Even in advanced countries, the main drivers of the economy are not the government but entrepreneurs. In my country currently, entrepreneurial education has been included in the scheme of work of students in high school to collages. This has led to an increase in self-employed people in society. But these businesses sometimes face tough challenges that make most of them collapse after a few years of establishment. Some of those problems are double taxation, hyperinflation, lack of basic amenities such as unstable electric power supply, and difficulty to access loan facilities.

Entrepreneurs are the drivers of the economy, but the government must create an enabling environment that will make these businesses survive. In many developed countries the government ensures that businesses are protected against external competitors. Just recently some counties in Europe announced that they would soon stop the importation of cheap grains from Ukraine because it was harming the local grain producers.
1673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 07, 2023, 08:28:11 PM

Actually, Chelsea has the players that they need. They have good enough players for almost every position in the squad. They just cannot play well because they don't have a good coach who can actually give proper direction to the team. Without a good coach it doesn't matter how good players the team has in the squad, they will often fail.

Getting more players in the team is not the main target for Chelsea right now in my opinion. They might need to sell some players to get others in those positions. But over all the squad is good.
I also concur that Chelsea has almost all the players that they need to make them competitive but they don't have a natural goal scorer. They need a top nine that can convert all the chances they usually create, so they need to sign a striker. But their inability to qualify for the champions league will affect the quality of strikers they will attract. Every player's dream in Europe is to feature in the Champions League. There are also possibilities that some players will want to leave Chelsea for another club that will play champions league football, so the club needs to brace up for any uncertainty.

For now, the major challenge is to get a good coach. It is the coach that will determine the players he would work with and those he wants to leave. For me, Aubameyang should be allowed to leave because his performance is far below standard. But players like Mount, Kante, Costa, and other dependable players shouldn't be allowed to leave if they want to stay. The club should consider giving them a new contract.
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a shame on: May 07, 2023, 07:58:02 PM
I wonder why some people are still relying on government to do some settings things as for for me I will never rely on the government, I will be be self employed, I don't want government to buy my time, the time when I suppose to use for other things like investments, Bitcoin other cryptocurrencies to make life easier for me, I will use it in government work to suffer, what if the government is paying you forty thousand a month calculate how much is your daily salary. Bitcoin will be come legal tender in the future.

OP you didn't state the position of the government of your nation concerning bitcoin. If Bitcoin is restricted or banned in your country, then the lecturer is correct. You are to respect the law of your country be it favorable or unfavorable. If the government of your country bans bitcoin you have no other option than to obey the law or leave to another country. Disobeying the law of the land can attract severe sanctions which could include jail term. I don't think it is a shame to obey the government.

But we should also understand that when we have the freedom to choose between economic choices, then we should make our own decisions based on our research or experience. In my country, the government encourages its citizen not to engage in any cryptocurrency transaction, but Bitcoin and other coins are not banned. It is now up to the citizens to decide if they will take the government's advice or not. For me, I chose to neglect their advice because I believe in Bitcoin.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 06, 2023, 05:38:39 PM
Great, after Milan managed to get the three points and then, Inter also looks like they will win the away match against AS Roma which means, Milan and Inter don't really mind for the next match in the Champions League. Because if Milan and Inter prioritize the Champions League, then of course Milan and Inter will not easily win in today's match.

But what happened was that Milan and Inter were able to win from the first half, at least the victory they got at half time proved that Milan and Inter were also still very focused on being able to finish in the top four in the Serie A standings. For me, this is very interesting moment, because it is quite rare to find a team like this when faced with focusing on two big competitions at the same time.
Milan had a good game today because Lazio didn't show much ambition after they went down 2 goals to nil in the early minutes of the first half. I don't enjoy the game much because both clubs played less entertaining football and provided fewer goal-scoring opportunities. But it is an important three-point for Milan. Lazio just lost a chance to increase their grip on the second position. Hernández's was just extraordinary, it will compete for the goal of the season.

Roma is still struggling to get an equalizer in the match against Inter. The match has product many goal attempts but Inter is fortunate to have just one. This match is far from over because Mourinho is a good coach that can make some changes which can make the game to change in favor of Lazio.
1676  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal [Legendary] - 4 years passed on: May 06, 2023, 09:43:25 AM
Why did you decide to wait that long on an account??.... for over four years??.., when the only option you've got left with is creating a new one?
I understand why some peeps feel too weary on creating a new account (especially those that existed before the inception of the merit system); Truth be told, most of 'em old OPs don't even have what it takes to build an account, NO!.... They were massively mobilized under the liverage, during the introduction of the merit system. C'monnnn,I'm not putting it on everyone, but alot haven't been able to have 50 merits as the Least for themselves aside the airdropped merits. Peeps like this be begging for years to get access through an old account again....
Edit: This is actually one of the reasons I don't joke with core legends like Dmr, LFC, Jay, fillipone, oeleo, Malek etc.... It ain't fuckin' easy to keep a standard for years without wavering..

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
Hope you are well aware that starting a new account @Sandra_hakeem is ban evasion so I don't think it is a piece of good advice. I don't also believe that the reason why members with high rank want thier accounts back after a ban is usually because they can't get merit. Yes, the main purpose of the forum is to learn about Bitcoin and contribute to the forum but it will be difficult to start as a beginner after enjoying the privileges enjoyed from a high-rank account. It will take an act of extraordinary courage to start as a newbie after being a Senior+ member.

@OP ensure you follow the rules of the forum as you appeal for the unbanning of your main account because committing more blunders might complicate your canvas of getting your desire.
1677  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cartooned style video about Bitcoin for beginners on: May 06, 2023, 09:23:18 AM
I don’t know which country you are from but contents predominantly watched in my region on TikTok is mainly not educative content, TIKTOK is the current number one social media distraction amongst the youth in my region, it’s more tuned to entertainment than it is too education, I wouldn’t go on TikTok to learn Bitcoin.

TikTok is indeed used currently mainly for entertainment but that doesn't dispute the fact that it houses some educational content. I don't usually use TikTok but sometimes I usually stumble on some creative and inspiring contents from the social media platform. And OP just informed us that there is an interesting animation about Bitcoin and I think it is good content that is worth looking at if one has spare time.

Quote
I would understand this if the person trying to learn bitcoin is a kid, as an adult I don’t think one should find reading to try to understand bitcoin as boring, you can’t just get fun in every aspect of your life all the time, Bitcoin is a serious financial business and if reading isn’t cool and animations preferred then maybe bitcoin isn’t for you. Don’t get me wrong, I have an article where Bitcoin can be drawn in animation but still, it contains readable content.

If you are adult, animation, cartooned videos are unnecessary because you will waste more precious time of it. You have limited time in your life and you should spend it wisely and on focus. I am unsure that those cartooned videos have correct information and so doubtful about their technical accuracy.

We shouldn't assume that animated programs or materials are strictly for children. After all, adults also watch animated films and they are very interesting. Even in colleges and universities some academic materials or information are animated to simplify the content for easy understanding. One of the reasons behind the animation is to convey vital information simply and entertainingly making the learners assimilate the information in a relaxed manner. Instead of spending hours watching movies, looking at this animated material about Bitcoin in one's spare time is not a bad idea. I bet you will learn something new. This doesn't dispute the fact that we shouldn't stop reading as adults.
1678  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 06, 2023, 08:27:13 AM

I read some campaign manager sentiment about this issue. Forcing their participants post above the minimum post requirements they set by themselves. If they want a higher post quota participants, They should increase the minimum post requirements or make the campaign rate per post without any consequences for posting low but quality post.

Post requirements are not compulsory, nor is it mandatory; it's not a force to be on a campaign if you can't cope with their minimum post requirements. Most managers are not looking for those who are just posting because they want to get paid; they want participants who derive joy from posting. When a campaign's minimum requirement is 25, at the end of the week you are ending with either just 25 posts or about 27 posts, which clearly shows that all the participants are after is the paid post and nothing else. Every manager wants what's best for their clients, and as such, any member they notice is not productive will be removed and replaced with some other active member who can deliver the task.
Let's be truthful, you might not post up to 25 posts in a week if you are not in a paid campaign. You might decide to use your time on something else that might bring financial benefit. A signature campaign should not be seen as a full-time job but having a post quota gives participants the responsibility of performing the task they are been paid for. If you allow participants to post naturally some might just do a few posts and relax which affects the main focus of the promotional campaign. Every firm that runs a campaign program wants their products to be promoted around the forum so having a bunch of unserious posters will negate their objectives.

It is also important to state that joining a campaign is not by force and different campaigns have their requirements so you should choose the one that suits you. Most campaign managers don't just pay attention to post quota but post quality. Some quality posters/members will never be removed from a campaign because they didn't complete their post quota.

In summary, post quotas are important because the campaign manager and the firm have plans and targets. Post quality is more important than just completing post quota. And if you are not comfortable with the rules of a campaign, don't join.
1679  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 06, 2023, 07:57:25 AM

In this time of economic problems, people are more concerned about cutting costs. If you offer products with cheaper prices, the business will attract more customers. So every business shouldn't focus on making huge profit but the target should be how to attract more customers. This is because more customers will lead to higher profits. So business owners should seek quality products that have competitive prices.

Too many customers obviously won't increase your profit, and if you're selling things at a loss to them, I don't think that's a good way to attract more customers. Instead, treat your customers well and stock your store with a variety of goods so they can make the perfect choice when they visit. As you mentioned, treating your customers like kings is another great way to boost your revenue because they'll notice when things are going well in your store.

Having many customers and making a small profit from each sale might be better than having few customers and making a huge profit from them. An example is having 10 customers that you make $10 from each of them and having 100 customers that you make $2 from each of them. The former will bring $100 and the latter $200. Attracting more customers is an important factor in business growth and profitability.

This truly extraordinary to see from a human  kind, I mean not humans have the heart to sacrifice their assets for needed and this is what we humans need in order for the world to be a better place. Once again weldone mate and as you have given out from pockets let it refilled with tenfold of the actuall asset spent so that you and others all you will the same mindset to sacrifice such in your local community.
If the well-to-do keep remembering that there are people that need help and set aside some funds for their welfare the world will gradually be a better place. But the world now is driven by greed and materialism where people want to lavish their money on temporal pleasures. I am not the judge here because everybody has the freedom to spend his income as he/she desires. OP what you have done is extraordinary. Looking at the picture, I can see the level of poverty of the people and that they really need help. You have put smiles on the face of many and they will never forget these kind gestures.

Apart from giving them food items, you can organize a skills acquisition program where they can learn some basic skills that can empower them to secure jobs. Exposing them to some opportunities online and giving them some cheap Android phones might help to give them little income that can help them take care of their needs.
