Any news of a future deal? I feel like the expo was rather fruitless for the Strat blockchain....I dont think this coin will have any meaningful pump without some kind of working deal.

Have patience mate. The London Blockchain Expo ended few days ago So there's still a lot of time for further deals. It's still too early to conclude that Stratis participation in The Expo was a failure (or fruitless rather).

I the next few.months expect huge news about stratis, Microsoft and azure.

You heard it here first. Anyone that knows me, knows.

Azure is great, but it's not a deal, it's just like a sandbox thing for coders to build on. This coin needs a legitimate deal, it's specifically developed as a blockchain solution, if theres no interest from companies, what are we really hanging the price on? It would be a pretty big disappointment.

I know you mean the companies use blockchain technology to build their own private chain or develop a DAPP on C# bitcoin full nodes blockchain?

From what I understand about it (and maybe i'm wrong) is that it's just a place for companies and people to look into using blockchain, and try to experiment using the various projects. It was a big deal when ETH was the first to get in, because an association with Microsoft got everyone excited...but they've opened it up to so many different crypto projects... It certainly makes Strat look more legitimate, and it adds an avenue to getting the attention of companies, but it's not a deal for the coin to be used...It's just another avenue to market the coin to perspective clients. To me its the equivalent of being in a specialized free app store...

Maybe this clarifies it for you:
https://workflowy.com/s/Q2HkXNdQXs

Thank you. What I still don't understand it how the Stratis blockchain is related to the bitcoin blockchain.
If I look at another coin, say Monero, just to take an example, there is no relationship at all between the BTC blockchain and the XMR blockchain.

But...when it comes to the  Stratis blockchain and the Bitcoin blockchain, there is some relationship (even if only one way) ...but what is it?

Come to the slack, we will explain Grin

Unfortunately I am unable to access slack ATM due to a firewall.

Surely someone must understand this?

This is exactly why the strat community needs to migrate back here... there are a lot of investors like this guy who just dont want to join slack, but will invest based on what gets written in bitcointalk. I think slack is a little bit of a cancer for young alts, youre not reaching out to all the prospective investors like you could be if you moved the conversation here.

Well, time to see what strat is made of. Honeymoon is over, decent size dump, and people calling scam... Going to be a long week. Hopefully we get some good news about prospective use cases, and interested businesses, otherwise it's looking gloomy.
1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: December 31, 2016, 01:58:13 AM

Mitchr4, come join the slack channel if your not already on it? You'll like it some really great ppl! I remember you from the Aerome days, too bad that kid bit off more than he could chew he had a great idea and was working hard for as long as he could.

Hey DL,

Good to see AeroME stop you for trading alts, I took a pretty massive hit on it, almost killed my spirit. The more I revisit that project the more I think Majika was a scammer, after the swap when we gave him coins he hyped like news was coming then left. I was pretty oblivious, but that dude was always talking like he had something then never showed shit.

As for slack. I just dont have the time at the moment, I got a job that puts me around 70 hour work weeks. I don't have a ton of time to dive into the chats. I like btc talk, because it's a lot less to read. I was hoping some of the team/community would update it more, and hit the good points people make about the use cases for Strat.

A lot of "slack centric" coins have struggled, because its an extra step to add for lurkers buying on hype. There are so many coins, if almost all of the talk is in Slack... It's hard to get new investor attention, pumps are always happening with multiple coins.

When the hype is on BTCtalk anyone can quickly see the posts and read about the excitement. With Slack theres that extra step, and I know its a small one, but I feel it deters people from joining/investing. Like ill look through coins on the weekend, I don't want to join 50 new slacks for every coin i'm looking to buy on polo...

Heres how I react when I trade...
I see a coin is up 10-20% with decent volume, and a nice chart on an exchange. There are at least 5- 10 coins like that a month. I want to read up on why the coin is up 20%, what's on the horizion, what's the use case... sometimes boom, I pull the trigger right there, or I may follow it for a week, or I may say nah, not worth my time.

Before I got a legitimate job in VFX... I used to be a beer vendor for the round rock express baseball team in texas. I know its nothing special, but I learned a lot about human instinct doing it. The you learn is that people are always on the fence with spending their extra money, so if they show the slightest sign that they are going to make a purchase.. you move quickly in their direction, and open with an offer/joke. I'd usually say something cheesey (before they even speak, smile on my face) like, So Miller or Coors which one do you want? and I would show them the beer. set my ice cold bucket of beer right down in front of them, so theyre forced to see how good it looks right there in the midst of making a decision ...Always cut out as much thinking time as possible when it comes to impulse buying. I'd open the conversation with an offer immediate offer, something cheesey

I'm no Warren Buffet. I'm not going to calculate every trade down to the perfect penny... and I feel like I represent a great chunk of Altcoin traders... We're largely impulsive highrisk traders. We want to make a choice fast.

Slack is great for the community, but its not good for instant investors, which i feel like is at least 50% of the investors in crypto....

I don't know, just my opinion, I've just always been a fan of hyping on BTCtalk rather than slack.

Slack hype rallies the community
BTCtalk hype hooks spontaneous/instant investors.

It would be great if you could post this in the slack. I'm kind of hoping to bring some strat talk back here for the above reasons. gotta work all the angles.

good talking to you DL.

I'm a pretty big holder of this coin. I'm not a 10x guy, didn't buy the IPO, but I have made a pretty good profit.... and I have held, because I like how active the dev team is, thats my number 1 reason for buying young coins. I like updates, and I like deadlines that are met. But, I still don't really understand how this coin will grow a network. This coin will go to 15k - 20k, I don't doubt it, because the dev team is focused, and they have a good midterm plan.

What I'm talking about is what separates Strat from the early pump coins that fizzle out... Can it be the long term pump coin that explode bitcoin gold all over the exchanges? The Alt Coin that people wish they bought?  The coin that have the potential to reach mainstream use? The BIG coin that actually has gone x50, x100 times? Those coins have ideas that can penetrate the market, they have deals lined up for mass adoption.

Can somebody explain to me how Nstratis will get this coin use from corporations?
What separates Stratis from other Blockchains?
Is there any potential intrest as of now from a cooperation? Any guarantees of use?

This coin seems to be one of those slack coins, it keeps coming up with new ideas, and innovating, its got a following, decent twitter, but it never lets BTC talk know what the actual plan of is going to be ...I'm dying to put 30k into this thing, but I need to know why Straits is the next great alt.

Honestly, I feel like I struck gold with this coin. If they have Nicolas Dorier constantly integrating Stratis into his bitcoin applications...Then this is a perfect coin. I kind of assumed he was just a figure head to make Strat look good, but it seems like hes genuine about his interest in using Strat to Suplement his bitcoin coding....Thats incredible, Like how can you look at a coin who has a full time team of its own, and, with Dorier, a strong link to bitcoin, and not think that this is going to explode in the coming months? This is so much better than ETH to me, I really believe its a .05 coin when people catch on.
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 30, 2016, 11:34:12 PM
Price is holding. Thats a really good sign...Also there was no subsequent retrace from the drop, which is also a really good sign. If it was a true pump and dump.... Then the pumpers would of tried to create some optimism before dumping further. This pattern strikes me as a few ICO holders leaving with a great profit, and not a P&D...Thats huge, I think the next pump could take us to 30K.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 30, 2016, 12:26:14 PM
Somebody just unloaded like 20btc worth of strat. If the market absorbs it, and doesn't crash further. It would be bull as fuck.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 24, 2016, 11:44:15 PM

Thanks. But you guys need serious rebranding.  Take a good hard look at your site, looks like a poor man's crypts,at best.

Focus on one thing being a exchange and loose the marketplace and such.

Even ugly , really ugly duckling s can grow into beautiful swans.

Good luck for the future cryptopia

We do apologize for listing STRAT, we probably should have asked first but we had several emails asking for a listing so we did, normally we list coins with good communities but sometimes we make mistakes.

We will improve our listing process in the future to try avoid listing problems like this in the future.

Thanks

People are upset you're not polo, don't take it too harshly, good luck with your exchange.

Need help, I sent my Strats to Start coin deposit address at Bittrex by accident. I didn't notice that my Mac spell checked "strat" to "start". I contacted Bittrex, but I know it's gonna take a while for a reply. Will it automatically kick back the Strats back to my wallet.  Huh
Nope. Gone. Better buy more.
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 15, 2016, 04:12:32 AM
Polo is probably going to add now. I cant see them denying the legitimacy of Stratis much longer.
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: November 02, 2016, 09:23:09 PM
Well when polo will add waves be sure guys that an official waves member will come here and make the announce and polo will add on news also that waves is gonna be traded on polo .

Nahhh Sasha is to busy shopping lambos to actually show up and talk to the people who gave him 30000 btc. Why can't you guys finally accept this??

Page after page here about "polo adding waves."  Nobody can be bothered to go back and read the tweets where Sasha - fresh from taking 30,000 btc from investors - decided Polo should recieve his Moral Opinion that they were thieves, scumbags, and dishonest.

All because they listed ETC.

But hey, Sasha comes from a country where freedom is not heavily valued. Polo should not have the right to do  what the fuck they want. They should consult him - Guardian of All That is True - first.

Never mind that he has now pulled off one of the biggest scams in crypto history, collecting 30,000 btc for a project that has delivered NOTHING after 6 months.

Given all this. I think it is entirely reasonable that Polo should immediately list waves. I encourage the continuation of optimistic posts.

Kumbaya motherfuckers.

Interesting hypothesis St.StepHEN. I just have trouble believing a liar... I asked Sasha, He doesnt even own 1 Lambo.
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 02, 2016, 09:16:55 PM
How involved is Nicolas in day to day coding? Is he committed? or is he just a figurehead recruited by the real dev team in exchange for a lot of coins and blood money?
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: August 26, 2016, 10:05:35 AM
I hate to say it, but I think price will continue to fall. I'm holding, but really poor timing on announcements, and release of nodes by sasha. Based on previous statements I still think we're a few weeks out on this one. I'm trying to decide where I should by more, maybe 24K.
