SEC has been making headlines the last couple of days with an all out war against anything to do with cryptocurrency.
In it's latest they have their sights set on binance's stablecoin busd and this has caused many to withdraw theirs from the platform and liquidate these assets in fear of a court ruling which will deem them as a security.

source: https://beincrypto.com/sec-staff-say-binance-us-offers-unregistered-securities

Some have speculated with this ruling it can cause a sideeffect among all other stable coins and even take down USDT along with it. Implicating all of the other stable coin markets as we know it:

Checking on the esports tournaments happening today, do not see much Dota2 in the lineup so I think lima majors was it until spring break is over.
While League of Legends seem to be just kicking off with the last I looked had 6 different ones going on today.
Those can be viewed here:

Any massive league fans here and what are your bets for these upcoming scrums?

^^
Didn't realize the first Sportsbet Special actually hit for the Nottingham Forest vs Everton match.
Thought it was going to simply be a low scoring affair ending 1-0 for either side. But it was a 2-2 draw.
So if those two teams can get 4 goals then definitely the next match of the day between Liverpool vs Manchester United was going to be a goalfest.
And they didn't disappoint! Atleast Liverpool did not. Punching in 7 goals past ManUtd into the back of the net.
It was only the second time in their history which they let in 7 goals so that record is now tied with this match today.
Think Mo Salah scored a hat trick because he did his patented celebration with going shirtless right after the last goal he scored.
Nunez had two with the last one from him being a header.

What an absolute trashing at the hands of LFC. I never would of thought the game would be so lopsided as this one was.
Rashford didn't even get a goal which is strange as Manchester United went goal less in this match.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: March 05, 2023, 11:19:21 PM
A very eventful UFC 285 that did not disappoint. Every fight was good and it was quite predictable in making your parlays win.
If you bet on Alexa Grasso then with that one bet you were well into profit @7.60x odds when I took her a couple of days before the event started.
Didn't mind that Gane lost he just wasn't enough of a challenge for Jones even if he was coming back from a long absent from the octagon, it didn't matter to him and he continued on devastating his opponents one after the other.
He was the only match that I had wrong on my 7 selection parlay @25.54x or it would of been an even happier night for me at the UFC.

Q3 is progress and both Red Bulls are trying to fend off Ferrari but it is so close for Leclerc/Sainz and Verstappen same as last season.

I am liking Alonso out of the Aston Martins to do something tomorrow during the race since Stroll has a wrist injury and can only crank his steering wheel so far one-handed.

Very exciting stuff so far!
That was kinda flex from Stroll right ? He knows that Drugovich once he gets that wheel he will do a bit of magic and maybe he is a bit afraid of that and decided to push and made to a massive P8 in my opinion.

Tomorrow , should be one hell of a race and don't count out the Ferrari boys yet , even if RedBull showed once again that their cars is kinda flawless. Also strange how Charles didn't decide to push for one more lap as I doubt they will have a strategy with 2 slicks and 1 medium because if that is the case then I'm afraid RedBull are way more powerful than we all saw today if Ferrari needs to adapt to such thing in first race.
Can't see Ferrari doing much in this race when it comes Red Bull and expect pure domination by Max and Checo today.
For the darkhorse in this race I can see Nyck De Vries doing something just to show the rest of the grid that he isn't there to mess around and to race to the maximum to his ability. I see alot of potential in this kid and him moving up from P19 quickly to make it in the top 3.
Even though he is one of the three rookies to drop out of Q1 early yesterday:

Damn it. Araujo broke my parlay.

What a waste. Why did she ever let go of the hand of Amanda Ribas at that last minute of the 3rd round? She could've made her tap out before the buzzer sounded. It was a good position and the crowd knew it, all she have to do was make her exhaust her energy.

Alexa Grasso versus Valentina Shevchenko is next in 5 minutes. For those who have not taken their bets yet, you still have some time.
It's now at 7.60 for Grasso and 1.12 for Shevchenko.
Had a similar acca fail by one leg too. But it was on the main event with Jones just destroying Gane within a minute of the first round. Mine was a 25x one with only 7 matches on it so not as lengthy as yours and on another bookmaker's site.
I stayed away from those fights I wasn't 100% confident in my predictions such as the Amanda Ribas fight.
From the beginning it looked like it could of went either way.
The Alexa Grasso match was the shocker of the night for most.
I took her at the 7.60x odds because I do not see why anyone would risk anything betting on Shevchenko at such low odds for any reason.
I learnt from seeing a heavy favorite such as Valentina in a title defense bout similar to this one fall flat and get subbed in their match. Remember Amanda Nunes vs Pena?
It rang a similar tone in the way that championship bout went.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: March 04, 2023, 05:19:47 PM
I took Gane at 2.55x and have another on an acca for under 4.5 rounds - will post after results start coming in.
So will see how this plays in approximately 5 hours from now when the early prelims kick off UFC 285.
Did anyone else notice Conor Mcgregor at the very end of the ceremonial weigh-ins? Promotions for a new movie of his:

Arsenal with the win! Don't know how they did it after dropping down 2-0 into the second half.
It was starting to look bleak but they showed their true grit of being potential champions this EPL season.
Came from an unlikely source too: Reiss Nelson
The scenes at the Emirates right now!

Imperial esports are playing in the lose and your out bracket versus complexity and dazzled with a 16-1 massacre of them taking map 1.
They really don't want to leave this tournament early with another three weeks remaining.

Gane looked good during official weigh-in and confident in the press conference.
Here are the fight stats from his past matches along with a pic of him on the scale:

For years, we tried to end the domination of Mercedes, now another domination has begun. What did this mercedes and ferrari do on the break? I wish it won't be a boring season as rb is very strong.
Well, that's just what happens when teams got the perfect formula. We will see in the upcoming race what could be the momentum of this season. It's too early to say, but let's see what happens this Sunday. I hope that it will be a very entertaining season.
We can see how it all unfolds in the practice runs today.
The countdown is on and there are approximately 2 hours left until the official F1 2023 season begins with these races.
You can view the live coverage from here as there is a clock showing when it does start also a media feed on the far right of photos while in progress:

The only worry I have for Jones is his mindset.  And a lot of guys are giving Jones flack for his 'dad bod'.  I think that's fine and nothing to be too worried about.  I'd be more worried if Jones came out jacked to the tits as it could mean he'll slow down carrying around tight muscles.
Yeah, I've seen his dad bod, but that looks like someone's who's looking to wrestle to me Cheesy. Muscles definitely take a lot more oxygen, and fuel to get moving so I don't think we'll have to worry about his gas tank too much. I think he'll do well, I've seen some training videos of him, and he looks motivated. I just hope, he goes the wrestling route.

That's what you're basically betting on; whether or not he goes the wrestling route right off the bat. If he does, it's probably my most confident pick of the night. If he doesn't, it quickly becomes one of my least confident. Obviously, Jones has been great in the past on his feet, so there's no doubts about his ability, it's more a doubt on whether he's still got the gas tank, and sharpness with his lengthy lay off.
That's exactly what I thought when seeing him at the stare downs post pre-press conference a couple of hours ago.
Will he be able to cut down to make weight?

Have you seen Jones and Gane stare down? Jones looked big, even though some say that Gane is 10kg heavier. It looks like this fight is going to end quick. Either Gane will tap, or Jones will ne ground and pounded. Even though Gane is an underdog, and Jones wrestling is a key to win, I think that 3 years of inactivity would play a major role. If this wasnt a title fight, that I would go with Jones. As it is a title - I am with Gane. I just dont remember anyone who has returned after a huge pause and was as cool as he used to be.
Ciryl looked like Ciryl as he wears his weight well but Jones just looked different not the lean mean bones we are all use to seeing.
I know he is older now so overcourse would have packed on the weight not being in the octagon for so long, but damn, when he raised his arms after the staredown with Gane. You saw his belly sticking out from under his shirt.
Alot of dehydration in the next 13 hours for him I would think. Cause if he misses weight that would be an utter disaster for this main event.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: March 03, 2023, 08:37:25 AM
Jones not fighting for the last three year and the story behind that step away from the world of the MMA was a fairly tragic one.
So if you are backing him then I would say good luck as Gane is the one who last fought Tuivasa six months ago Sept 3rd 2022 and beat him without an contest needed to decide who won that fight.

Watched this live and really enjoyed how it went and Dana back in the drivers seat putting them for a press conference is always a nice touch:

The weigh-ins are today so don't want to miss those before the main event starts!

Profit is profit with the recovery mode yet risky but that is the business. So enjoy the wins when they come.
Had a 10% cut on my bankroll due to an early cashout but that is not sticking to our guns and letting it ride out.
To make up for it will be putting it all on the outcome of the co and main event for UFC 285 this weekend along with the outright winner of F1 in Bahrain.
So a good acca to be sure!

Yet people are puppets and pawns in the eyes of these influencers, so what more do you want to come out of this @DaveF ?

Meanwhile the SEC are looking to lobby all cryptocurrency as a security except for bitcoin.

Nothing they haven't done before but this time it is post-FTX and the destruction they have caused littered with casualties in it's wake.

@arallmuus Good idea about doing it that way instead. Since their app can be used in this context and serve their customer base better this way with offering a catered option that serves them through the app instead.
Perfect feedback and use of this thread to accommodate Sportsbet in finding somethings that their customers are looking towards using on their platform moving forward.

@buwaytress Or you can simply do it that way. Since it is the most basic method yet still some maintenance needed inorder to get your bets done.
Congratulations if you took the specials on the gunners since they just massacred the toffees four goals.
It was a no contest affair. Didn't keep up with the Saints since it was at the same time and not in the Premier league.
Don't know if they managed to tie it late on but they had scored last time I looked at the score while LFC was on.
They were only down by one since the two goal deficient.

Anyways, good luck on the specials this weekend as it is a sports packed weekend with F!, UFC and EPL all waiting for us to watch and enjoy!
As I know I will be and not up on here as much so to savor those good moments having been waiting for all these events to happen since the start of the year.

Actually I am siding with Aston Martin this season and have been a turn coat instead for Mclaren due to the upgrades & updates to the F1 crew and drivers they have done going into the 2023 season.

Steve managed to be at the unveiling of their new design and got to meet the new drivers.
Think he had a couple of snaps with both and maybe show them up when he gets a chance too.
