First of all there is no sprint race on this track for this season but maybe they would do it in the next one. The next race weekend with a sprint race is going to be just after Hungarian GP which is in Spa, Belgium. For Hungarian GP I don't expect a big surprise about the winner of course. There should be another race Verstappen wins easily. I wonder what Perez will do in qualifying this time. He has been messing things up for himself in the recent times and he just makes his job very difficult about making it to podium.

I wonder what the reason behind this downfall in his qualifying performance. He still has the fastest car on the grid compared to other teams in the end.
He did win two races this season so he still has the driving spirit but I would imagine trying to compete against his own teammate driving a very similar car as yours and you are not producing similar results, it will question your skills. So maybe he is feeling this pressure by Red Bull with not at the very least finishing second place or even making a podium for every race in the season so far.

With the Hungarian GP there are many teams who will have upgrades that will be noticeable such as with the Ferrari side pods as shown below:

Red Bull has been wind testing their cars to see where they can improve even more their cars, if that is even possible:

Also the floor of their car that everybody had seen up on the lift thanks to Perez:

There was no mention of a sprint race from all the pre-race reviews that I watched, so it is safe to say there won't be one.
The teams will be limited to using one set of tyres during each of the qualifying runs.

Last year in this track Russel wins no?

Well not, i go to check and not, he make the pole but not ended wining the race, but that race mark the reborn of Mercedes, and their have a very good last run after that. In the race they make two podiums with Hamilton second and George in third place.

I dont know what to expect, asides of Max Verstappen 99% chance of win.
No, it was Verstappen then Hamilton then Russell.

Max is at 6 race wins in a row since Miami and is chasing Vettel's record which is 9 races in a row.

Saw the one from the CBS morning show yesterday where one the interviewers sounded as if he was defending bitcoin in an attempt to debunk what he was stating during this live show.

I would speculate that it is the Blackrock effect. There are presently powerful people from traditional finance who want to debunk the FUD because they have their ETF applications on uncle Gary's desk hehehe. Forbes is one of the news outlets that had a very noticeable change of stance on bitcoin. I reckon there will be more coming for the rest of this year.
I must agree on you there. Especially with a major well-known media outlet in the financial sector whom most of these traditional finance people get their news on these new and technological advanced markets from.
Now there is a term I heard most of these individuals are waiting to make it's debt so they can jump in head first: TradeFi

Okay, tomorrow (later for EST) we have 3 WNBA games.
Atlanta Dream versus Minnesota Lynx - I am taking a shot for the underdogs Minnesota Lynx on the money line at 2.90. Dream is on a long 6th winning streak before the WNBA All-Star but I think it should end now.

Phoenix Mercury versus Connecticut Sun - Connecticut Sun (-7.5) Well, I think that's the obvious choice. Sun can win against any team out there and especially against the weak Mercury. They badly need some good players there that will surround Griner and help her out to win games.

Washington Mystics versus Indiana Fever - the odds are not available yet but I think it will be shown later on. Going for the Mystics on this once the odds come out. I don't think Elena Delle Donne is available to play yet but they already proved how strong they are even without her.

Good luck.
Looks that you won the first one in the WNBA with the ATL Dream but then the sure bet for the Ct. Suns lost by a blow out score.
Not sure if the NBA Summer League is done since the last match I watched was earlier in the week.
But if they are, I am certain the teams got all the practice data needed to make the proper decisions on how much their star players should be on the court from when the start of the regular season begins.

We do have Women's FIFA World Cup beginning tonight in New Zealand and there are some Specials to use:

It seemed the SEC setup Coinbase to fail from the very beginning when they allowed to the company to go public with their IPO having months later filing a lawsuit against them.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/allowing-coinbase-to-go-public-was-not-a-blessing-of-the-business-sec

Having the courts ruling against the SEC in their biggest case to date against cryptocurrency last week, there shouldn't be any chance for them to win this one.

Im starting to think there is something more behind the lines between SEC and Coinbase and we cant see that. Im thinking about some political fight between democrats and republicans, but i really dont know, because WHY SEC keep trying to destroy the now only big exchange from USA.

Somebody can say to me, its because SEC its afraid of the movements and danger of bankrupcy of coinbase, but i dont think so. Maybe other big players wants to take the bussines so they want to put the Coinbase owners in a difficult position so they were forced to sell to Blackrock or whatever?
Someone looking in from the outside might agree with you on it's actions are all politically motivated and are in the interests of the government and hence the SEC.
If one were to see beyond the veil of deceit covered over everybodies eyes, then you can come to the conclusion that the SEC are in full control of what is going on and what is to come when it comes to all of cryptocurreny regulations still to be determined.
There was a victory by them announced today on such rulings.

For the start of the Riyadh Masters it seems that Entity had got up on the right side of the bed this morning where they are leading a map on Team Liquid.
And TSM already had beat Execration and Team Aster handing Virtus Pro a defeat with another 2-0 scoreline.
For the opening matches of this Riyadh tournament in Saudi arabia.

Monaco is definitely "boring" if nothing happens, but sometimes things do happen and that's when it becomes entertaining. Like I remember last year being quite fun if I am not misremembering which one it was, that felt like a good one.

Hopefully they will do as much as they can on Hungary as well, there is a "story" or narrative this week, that will be basically a blue print for a whole episode of drive to survive, which is Ricciardio coming back, that's going to be like a celebration all by itself. He is also quite good when it comes to Hungary as well, so I am expecting him to be doing very well, if he passes his teammate on the very first game, that's going to be pretty awesome without a doubt, but that will require a bit of challenge of course.
This Hungary track in a way is like Monaco where it is nearly impossible to overtake but there is one long straight where drivers can enable DRS then there is a very short straight away but this a very winding track with 14 corners.

As for Riccciardo, his competition will be his car. As we all know the Alpha Tauri's are one of the slowest cars on the track.
So I don't see him getting to high up on the grid for the beginning of this race.
Give him a few more to let him ease into being with a new team and have him feel out the new car first I would say.

Ben McKenzie had really believed that bitcoin would go to zero that he used a quarter of a million of his own money to short it.
So this might be the catalyst of bringing it to the next level of seeking to be it's spear of destiny it seems.

Also did I mention his father was on the former chief counsel of the CFTC & special legal counsel attorney advisor of the SEC so this could also by why he is so passionate to see its demise.

Regardless of who won the match, this match between Alcatraz and Djokovic was absolutely incredible. A test of temperament for both of the players.
agree, but what I saw today from highlights, didn't noticed yesterday during the match
Alcaraz had 66 winners, compared to 32 from Djokovic, and looking at that, one can conclude that match was pretty much one-sided, Alcaraz was on attack, and Djokovic just defended and waited for him to make a mistake
even in first set, which he lost 1:6, Alcaraz had more winners (7 to 5), so on that time, it was just him trying to put his shot in, not playing bad, as it was seemed during the match, highlights after are good to reflect on whole thing

and interesting enough, Djokovic is still favorite to win US Open, according to bookies, @2.2, Alcaraz on @2.5
This is pretty surprising since Alcaraz is world's number 1 and fresh off winning the last tournament beating Djokovic usually the odds are in favor of the champion of the most recent win and the higher ranked player.
Just goes to show you how confident the bookmakers are of him to make an immediate comeback I would think.
Because before Wimbledon started Alcaraz was 3.50x to win the entire tournament while Djokovic was closer to 2.00x
So as you can see the oddsmakers have always seen them as close favorites to win these major tournaments on the tennis season schedule being ranked number 1 and 2 respectfully.

This UFC event in London is one many are looking forward to especially the fans of the main event contender Aspinall.
Meatball Molly is the co-main event so it should be a nice one-two with two British fighters I am looking forward seeing.
Paul Craig vs. Andre Muniz looks to be another notable fight to put on your parlays.
Paddy Pimblett would of been a bonus to see on this card but the baddy sustained an ankle injury in his last fight back in December and said he probably wouldn't fight for the remainder of the year, but you never know.
He was scheduled to have surgery back in March but no update on his fighting status yet.

This UFC Fight Night 224 promises to be a good one while many didn't quite enjoy the Holm vs Bueno Silva.

1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 16, 2023, 01:00:43 PM
I just read that Ngannou's fight purse against Tyson Fury is around $8 Million which is similar to what UFC offered him to defend his title against Jon Jones. Huge leap from his last fight which reported to be around $600K so kudos for a getting a great deal even after all the fallout.
$600k is embarrassingly low amount for a heavyweight champion fighting for the most recognizable brand in combat sports. I knew the UFC underpaid its top fighters but that is just shocking to hear that his purse was so low. Even fighters who have never headlined a pay-per-view card, like Shakur Stevenson, can earn millions in boxing. No wonder so many MMA guys seem desperate to fight against boxers even when we know they don't have much of a chance to defeat top pound for pound stars.
Yes you are right that mate $600k is very small amount of money and we all know that both fighters are too popular which the boxing organization can earn a lot of money. And aside from the tickets being sold they can earn another amount once they will accept betting from another persons. And about the MMA fighter who will fight in the boxing then I don't think so if they have a high percentage of winning.
i saw a report Francis will get $30M and that's apart from the PPV pay. that's more than the money he got in his UFC compensation since the start. Francis comes from a very poor beginning, he used to work in a gravel mining company as far as he told the public.
but he did start a foundation afaik which he supported kids and created a school for them. $30M would really do good in Africa. hail to Francis.
This is what has been reported by alot of different sources so one of them has got to be correct, right? Cheesy

The guy had a very hard upbringing and worked in the mines digging dirt so his life story of rising the ranks into becoming the highest paid fighter in crossover superfight history of two different sports could be made into a movie.

Also as more time passes we do get more news confirming how the fight's results will come to be. An with the date coming closer we could see more changes made since it is Tyson Fury we are talking about who wants rules changed for his fights last minute. Remember his spat about not having the contract signed and made it very controversial about paying the other fighter because of that? He does strive on chaos this fighter.

The title will not be on the line for this fight and will be under the rules and regulations of where it is taking place in the middle east:
"Fury, the current WBC heavyweight champion, will not be defending his title in this bout. The clash will take place in the Middle East, just before Halloween. Ngannou, known for his dominance in the MMA world, relinquished his belt when he departed from the promotion for PFL earlier this year.

Although no titles will be at stake, the fight will be scored by three judges using the 10-point must system. Over ten rounds of three minutes each, the fighters will battle it out in the ring. While it remains uncertain whether the fight will be added to their professional records, the fact that it will be held in a regulation ring and overseen by the commission means it will essentially be considered a professional boxing match."
source: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/boxing/tyson-fury-vs-francis-ngannou-27303785

Not everybody is accepting why Tyson Fury took on this fight in the first place.
Quite an interesting read as it was up to his father to schedule this fight as it was with Wilder:
Fury vs Ngannou: Tyson Fury's father John Fury revealed why the 'Gypsy King' accepted to fight Francis Ngannou despite heavy backlash from boxing fans.

1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 16, 2023, 12:30:41 PM
To be honest, I was quite disappointed with yesterday's semifinals, either because Djokovic and Alcaraz were really ready to face their opponents or because their opponents couldn't play with their highest performance, last year Jannick Sinner was able to take two sets from Djokovic but this time not even for a set though, and Medvedev, who looked like he couldn't get out of the pressure of the third set, was a bit hopeful but still couldn't find his best form.
The final between Djokovic vs Alcaraz was as predicted, Djokovic remains the favorite considering he is quite superior in this tournament and rarely sees odds on Djokovic above 1.30 this time he gets 1.54 with Alcaraz 2.55, if many think Djokovic often loses the initial set and after that playing at the highest level of his game but I'm pretty sure he's not going to do that this time and from Djokovics match with all the young players it's surprising the age difference is over 13 years but his fitness doesn't show he's older.
I still think it will be 4 sets; Djokovic will loose the first set and than go on and win the next 3 sets. I am surprised that the odd for Djokovic is around 1.5; this is the first time that Alcaraz gets so far as grass is not his favorite underground so Djokovic is the clear favorite here to win Wimbledon again.
The young versus the experienced gonna play the finals. Djokovic being the favourite for the Wimbledon finals is an expected one. Losing the first set and winning the match is kind of style that Djokovic follows. At times this can fire back, because against a player like Alcaraz is different from playing against unseeded players. Even a small mistake could make Alcaraz make the lead. Lets see what's gonna happen as the top seeded ones compete for the title.
This is the first time in history something unexpected have taken place and that is really appreciable. In Women's tournament an unseeded player have reached the finals and won the title, Vondrousova have won against Jabeur 6-4 6-4
The final between Alcaraz and Djokovic is going to be a really good one. This is also going to be fairly close and competitive between both of them. I know that it is a match between young and experienced.
All the young one, Alcaraz, does have youth on his side which will probably give him more speed and stamina I think Djokovic being the experienced one will be able to come back even if he is behind at the start of the match. I agree that the style of Novak Djokovic is losing the first set and then making a comeback. Probably he is more concerned about reserving his energy.
Age won't seem to matter between these two as it was on display during their two previous meetings.
There is a 16 year difference but when it comes to tennis, it won't matter since experience is the determining factor as the player can recuperate after every set and come out stronger after gathering their senses to power through to the next set.
Remember Carlos cramped up during the Miami tournament and lost to Sinner of course that was on hard court then he had to withdraw from the French Open earlier this season from the very same symptoms.

For myself, I will go with the tested and true game play of Novak Djokovic to win this Wimbledon in a set of five since Alcaraz will probably suffer the same fate as he did before if it does go the distance.
And many are imagining this matchup of the world's #1 and #2 will end up being. As this tournament's final will determine who will be #1 of the world.

What you guys thinks about Apex Legends making into Esports betting scene ? There is a big tournament on-going right now and I must say the hype on this game has always been there but I do want to see Apex making into betting scene because they do have a lot of important teams competing like TSM , NRG , Furia , Optic ETC so I think they have what it needs to making into betting. Also , you could bet on zones , legends , winner , top 10 and so on.

Also , the game in pro scene is very competitive and a single mistake can cost you a wipe of your time.

I'm thinking this because if a dead game like Overwatch 2 has betting support , why wouldn't apex be there ? the player base is way more big in Apex than Overwatch.
Have heard of Apex Legends and their mobile version which is cross-platform which can make for an interesting scene sort of like how Fortnite made it's road to success among everyone since who doesn't have a mobile phone.
There had been some recent news of a revamp of some of the workings in season 18 of this game:
https://www.pcgamesn.com/apex-legends/season-18-revenant-rework

But there had been some rumblings on reddit for a while of players distaste for it since it was released when there was warzone and since it is more of a battle royale feel to the game there was no comparisons there.

This is what the thread is all about: To share your predictions and if it helps somebody who isn't to keen in that particular sport succeed then it has done it's function on the forums.
That is simply what it was created for, sharing points of view and getting wins for us all.

Just like with those UFC selections above, everyone I knew was on Silva winning. As Holms is quite old, I think pushing well over 40 and so isn't like she was when knocking out Rosey back 7 years ago. That was when she was in her prime and had the counter attacking on her side.

For those who have been waiting for the EPL to begin we have something to keep us going for another couple of months until the season starts.
Arsenal has confirmed Declan Rice to a $137.5 million contract in signing with the Premier league team.
It will make him the highest paid British player ever in the league:

Isn't Ferrari treating Sainz the exact same way though?
Atleast that is how it sounds if you listen to their back and forth on the team radio calls during all the races since the beginning of the season. Maybe except for the very first race in Bahrain where he had reached fourth place.
Or maybe it is like this because he is the second driver.
So Perez and Sainz are treated in the exact same way by their team, as second fiddles to the main men driving.
Yes you have a point here, but i think Sainz have a combination of bad luck plus Ferrari clown moves (the same Leclerc suffer) and also when he have to put an amazing drive he doesnt make any super performance. Then we can say he its not en possition to claim so much. Perez in the other hand its clearly not at the same level as MV but he have so really good races.
There has been alot of talk of drivers moving around to different teams lately.
So nothing at this point would be a surprise to hear.
Even on the Sportsbet F1 pool thread for the forum there has been a prediction that Norris will move to Ferrari by 2025.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5441078.msg62551408#msg62551408

This we will have to see it to believe it really.
With Tsunoda going to Aston Martin and Ricciardo settling at Red Bull in a few driver swap out between those two teams is more plausible than this discussion really.
But you never know.

WTA final live now. Jabeur lost the first set to Vondrousova by making loads of unforced errors. In a couple of last games of the first set she could return a single serve. She lost the opening set 4:6. Right now, second set is under way and it's 4:3 Jabeur. Her quality of play has improved considerably and I'm hoping to see the third set.
Vondrousova won the match easily in straight sets and only had problems in the first set. Realtivly easily won the final and too bad about Ons Jabour that dominated through out the entire tournament and just didnt have focus in the final. If she played like before the final i think we would have seen a different outcome. Now Vondrousova is in the top 10 and jumped from a 42th place on the wta tour.
Wasn't Vondrousova the first lowest ranked (42) womens player to win at Wimbledon?
Think I heard one of the announcer's saying this before the match started.
I managed to watch the first set and then got a bit busy and ended up watching the final game where she won it.
They showed there were only two other unseeded players to win the major but those were both in the ATP.
Really good showing from Vondrousova because she was 80 to 1 to win Wimbledon for the women's side.
Think Ons Jabeur was closer to 9 to 1. Because she has been in this finals just last year but of course lost that one aswell.

Lets be real, no one will take the shit of watch others insulting your tribe or region, Dricus was indirectly  tell Adesanya that his not an African. that hurt Adesanya, just like everyone would have reacted, seeing your brother telling the world you're not from Africa,  i don't see any childish stuff in Adesanya confronting Dricus in the ring. it happens, he is not the first  confront his next opponent in the ring. before the match, Adesanya has already had a plan to confronted him after the game.
lets just wait and watch their next match, i root for the Nigerian man Adesanya for the champion.
I think that's what I said too.
But let's also be real, what he did in the Octagon was a foolish move and that's because that's not his fight. He can talk all he wants but do it on his fight, that ain't his floor yet so a big mistake.
He may have planned it but I don't think what he said is all planned too. Emotions came out and as a sportsman, you don't let your emotion get the better of you.
I am not against you. I am an Adesanya fan. In fact, I was one of the fans that boosted him here in this thread, and the other one and my full support was on him against Pereira. But again, in my own eyes what he did was not right, he crossed the line but that doesn't mean I will not support him. I will still bet for him without any doubts because I believe he is the real champion in that weight class.
I respect your own point of view about what he did on the Octagon after the Dricus win. It's you, not me.
Adesanya in the cage after the fight is like a scene in WWE. We have seen it many times when we were kids watching Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. It's all drama for the fight promotion. We're still fooled though because it's a real fight than the ones we see on WWE.

Ngannou knows it better which is why he called his own production GIMIK Fight Promotions. It's all Gimik. Dricus and Izzy are probably preparing to be on the top of PFL Africa which was recently launched.
It has come to this point hasn't it?
Now look at what Israel had said in the past which he has apparently forgot what he had said before:

He even has held up two other different country flags so it seems that he prefers to choose which country he represents when it absolutely suits the situation. Grin

As he had said before, he doesn't give a s**t what people have to say and will let his fists do the talking.
So we will just have to wait and see I think at this point.

As your point with Ngannou, I fully agree with you there.
He preferred to keep his mouth shut about the whole thing while Usman and Adesayna were talking about what Du Plessis was saying back in March during the press conference that caused all this ruckus about who is representing what country.
To him he only cared about the money and how to make that $30million his take will be in his next bout but in the ring instead of the octagon.
It seems that he was the smartest one out of all of these guys and that is including Dana White who was trying to tie him down to a contract within his organization and on a short leash.
Kind of like what Israel was wearing on his neck at his last fight. Cheesy
