How will the BS&T rate change be affecting bitcoinmax?
Im wondering this as well, but to outline a less vague question, will you be implementing a Trust Account, or a normal one? Also, if it is a trust account, what will the rates be? normal rates, or somewhere between 3.9% and the 5%+ a Trust Account recieves? I Would assume it will be a trust account, due to the fact that this pass through has over 5000BTC and the trust account is designed for ppt's. it will be interesting to see what the 5%+ interest rate will be And what we get of that 5%+ 4.9%+

Will btcmax get an exception to the max-5000 BTC rule? I am guessing he is entrusted with more than 5000 BTC by btcmax.com users.
I'll be working closely with pass-though operators to ensure the process is seamless for it's clients. It says that the max for "Trust" accounts is unlimited; maybe they'll switch to that. I like the idea of the security deposit. My initial reaction is that this is a positive move. pirateat40, will you still require a referral for the standard savings account? Savings accounts will be open without a referral shortly after the change. Great news

Some clarification as to how this affects the pass-through schemes would be welcome.

I wonder what would happen if I walked up to an airline ticket counter and tried to purchase a one-way ticket somewhere and asked if they'd accept my Islamic Bank of Bitcoin cheque denominated in bitcoins.

AND since we cannot subscribe to it we can use the brand spanking new "watch" feature! Thanks, I hadn't yet thought to do that!

The first person to make some bitcoin compatible software that's comparable to full-tilt/pokerstars/etc. will make a shed load of BTC. The suggestion to get a GLBSE listing going is a good one -we could all invest and reap the rewards Do we have enough skills in the community to pull this off and how much would it cost?

Okay I found my transaction by pasting my address into the block explorer url rather than searching .... my transaction is there, first seen in block 186079.
My client currently says downloaded 174981 of 186196, but it's not moving very fast. When it gets to 186079 I get my BTC, I guess?
Apologies for my stupidity if this is the case, but why so slow?? Should I have donated more?
Your bitcoins are safely at your address. The only issue is that your bitcoin client hasn't downloaded block 186079 yet, so it unable to see them. Once you've downloaded every block, keep your client running you will see transactions instantly.

I'd like to grab the BitForce SC Jalapeno @3.5GHashs when it's available as this is many times more powerful than my HD6950 gpu (400Mhash/s) and for much less power/heat/noise.If they can ship this to UK I'm in.
I'm very happy to see this news as I've wanted to move away from GPUs for quite a while now but couldn't before as the price was a little steep for me.
Um, you do realise that the Jalapeno price is similar, or possibly even more expensive $/BTC generated than the current 6950 price right? The jump from a ~365Mh/s 6950 to a 3.5GH/s Jalapeno is an order of magnitude - or more specifically 9.6 times But are you seriously thinking that difficulty will not rise well above 10 times - more likely 20 times, if these 1TH/s boxes and hundreds/thousands of Jalapeno's and SC Single's arrive? The price will most likely end up not being cheap at all considering todays price standards for GPUs vs BTC they generate I am interested to hear people's guesses as to how much difficulty will increase and how quickly. If I added myself to the waiting list for a Jalapeno today, would difficulty have already increased x10 by the time I receive it? [/mining newbie]

My solution:
Open up a pre–order list from Monday till mid–july, then close it.
This will give everyone ample time to order
Make an inventory of what has been ordered and start producing exactly that amount
When all the pre–Orders have been produced, pack them and ship them off at the same day in october, be it jalapenos, singles or rigs.
That way everone will receive their products around the same time
This is the most fair proposal I've heard. +1. Announcing a preorder a day before you do it and not even posting the announcement on your website is a little.. weird. +2. Fair for everyone. +3 this is a fair solution. +4 BFL please read this and change your plans. +5 Sounds good to me. ++ +7 Aaannd.... Thread. +8. ITS A + PYRAMID! + 9 I will put in an order if you do this.

Since I'm buying some coins on Monday, hopefully this will (temporarily) reduce the price Seriously though, I wonder what effect Mt Gox suddenly folding would have?
