16621  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Best Prices of Gold, Silver, & Platinum for Bitcoins on: May 19, 2015, 06:40:13 PM
Can Amagi comment on the recent delay of orders that seems to be occurring?

Since their inception, Amagi has always taken several weeks or even months to deliver anything.  I don't think they will ever ship things timely, so if you are in a hurry to receive your goods, ordering from them is obviously not the right choice.  They do offer very competitive pricing though, so if you don't mind waiting a month or more for your order, they are hard to beat.
16622  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Kialara Labyrinth: Contest for Best Time [official thread] on: May 19, 2015, 06:26:03 PM
I gave it a shot yesterday, but was only able to get about 1/2 of the balls to the end before giving up.  Perhaps I will give it another shot today.
16623  Economy / Securities / Re: NASTYFANS iOS APP VERSION 2.0 IS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD! on: May 19, 2015, 06:22:50 PM
Awesome, thanks for the solid response man. I will say I think the NastyFans IOS app looks pretty professional, and all of the available data that is pulled is flawless- the more stats available the better, IMO (shout-out to naypalm & nonnakip for the sweet NastyFans site as well). Not having ads in the app is commendable as well, though I will say I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a few non-intrusive ads for related Bitcoin sites paid for by fellow NastyFans or just other Bitcoiners. Possibly if that ever happened then that could also be another small source of revenue to be distributed among the NastyFans. Also, I think if it would be possible to have login data auto-filled for the NastyFans & BitcoinTalk areas of the app that would be cool as well, but I could see reasons not to for security concerns in case of a stolen/compromised phone. These are all just small suggestions and my opinion, and I wouldn't post them if I didn't think this was a very open group who is willing to listen to constructive criticism.

I have been in discussions with a few individuals about building an advertising network.  There is work being done behind the scenes on that front.  So far there has been a lack of interest among advertisers and webmasters alike, but it is something I will continue working on.  I have even placed some Nasty advertisements on select pages of the DevCenter & Keno websites.  I've also had talks with individuals about starting a NastyFaucet, that would give away BTC to users willing to subject themselves to various advertisements.  Continuing integration of advertising in Nasty sites and apps is something that I would like to see at some point, but only if it makes sense and there is enough demand to bring in a decent amount of revenue.
16624  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] What would get you to play NastyKeno? on: May 19, 2015, 06:16:17 PM
Any particular reason on why not offering a full set prediction like the weekly game?

Mostly because it was a test to see if the lack of an instant result was what was keeping people on the sidelines.  It appears that the lack of an instant result is not what is deterring people, or it would see more action.  It is quite possible that instant bets will be discontinued if there remains little to no interest.  If there was an uptick in instant predictions, we would look at making them ALL instant predictions and thus giving the entire keno board prediction set.  Perhaps after more time it will slowly gain a following of players and more investment in development would be warranted.  I understand this is a bit backwards thinking, but this is a group organization project and not a gambling business focused on profits.  Hopefully over a long period of time, the user base and experience is greatly improved.

16626  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: From horizontal to vertical on: May 19, 2015, 01:48:16 AM
I built something very similar with parts from Home Depot and an in-line duct fan I got from amazon.com.  The whole thing cost under $100.  One thing to be aware of though, if you are blowing air out, it has to be coming in from somewhere as well.  A good cool air intake system is very important or else you may end up heating the rest of your house just as much as you are cooling your mining area.

Was hoping I could somehow get a free Trezor out of this.  Shocked  Looks like they're about 0.5 BTC though.  Embarrassed

Anyway the instant predictions works fine with no issue here and as for the free games , I havent had tried it yet, Any particular reason on not making the payment instant yet? Since this kind of games cant be cheated though

We haven't built any type of system to handle instant payouts.  It remains to be seen whether the demand exists to invest resources in developing that functionality.  Very few people have even tried the instant predictions as they exist currently.
16630  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: May 18, 2015, 11:50:37 PM
The GBTC market closed at the all time low at 27.15 dollars per share (~280 dollars per bitcoin) with volume of 4950 shares (less than 490 bitcoins).

A couple more dollars and it might make for a reasonable investment.
16631  Economy / Securities / Re: NASTYFANS iOS APP VERSION 2.0 IS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD! on: May 18, 2015, 11:29:15 PM
Just saw your post and figured out how to edit the "Today View" screen to include the NastyFans widget! Pretty sweet being able to see the current Bitcoin and Seat Price instantly with just one swipe. The Bitcoin price showed fine but the Seat Price displayed a tiny line of code. Still, great job on that and I love the couple core Bitcoin apps I have on my phone. Do you do the coding for the IOS app yourself? Just wondering, I have considered looking into writing code for apps for a while but don't know where I would even start as far as learning materials, guides, etc.

Yes, I'm aware of the line of code bug.  The script I am using to convert the text into an image displays correctly only sometimes for some currently unknown reason.  I hope to have some help with a more elegant solution in the future.

I do the coding for the app myself.  I had help with the original build, and have had help along the way from several individuals.  For example, most of the data is provided by nonnakip through the feeds you can find on http://dev.nastyfans.org.  There is also data being pulled from websites like blockchain.info, blockexplorer.com, bitcoinwisdom.com, as well as 3rd party scripts which have been provided by naypalm & arsenische.

I would say if you were interested in learning to write code, the place to start would be downloading xcode and doing a few google searches on iOS App guides.  Here's a good one involving Bitcoin and the Today View: http://www.raywenderlich.com/83809/ios-8-today-extension-tutorial

a BTC0.10 coin should sell for BTC2.10.

I have one that I will sell for that price if anyone is interested.
16633  Economy / Services / Re: Money Drop For The Homeless on: May 17, 2015, 10:50:10 PM
I'd like to stick with the theme of helping the homeless if possible.  I could send it to the MrDove team to help with their private efforts, but I don't like the lack of transparency there.  Anyone know of any Bitcoin accepting established food banks?
16634  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: SFARDS: “Speaking IMHO”- The Best Miner is…contest, 1 BTC for winner! on: May 17, 2015, 07:18:02 PM
What about a stick miner that is pre-configurable and self running?  Meaning, a stickminer that you can just plug into a PC and it will mine using built in software to an address that you already programmed into it.  All it needs is a computer with an internet connection.  Perfect for people who want to hide them in their work computers, or perhaps behind a library computer without having to install any software.

16638  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's Buy a bank on: May 15, 2015, 06:03:43 PM
You do realize that it is not banks that print money, it is the government mints. Banks money come from investors putting it in there. That is why banks have gone under, if all the investors suddenly want their money the bank cannot supply it because it has already lent it out.
As I understand it, banks create money each time a loan is made.

I think you are confused between central banks and retail banks.
