As far as I've seen you may need to change for a while the timezone to UTC, then go to internet settings (internt explorer, internet options) -> content -> clear ssl state.

All movie is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xm3nwmB6Tmg
16622  Local / Offtopic / Re: Ce ati face daca ati avea 10.000 BTC? on: September 17, 2014, 03:57:03 PM
Vreo jumatate i-as investi in chestii mai "palpabile".

16623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The $1000 Stake Challenge! on: September 17, 2014, 02:51:38 PM
More and more posts like this are done lately. And I love this! I just started learning more about how to earn something from crypto, so more like this the merrier.
Many thanks, keep us posted and good luck!
16624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is everyone actually looking for in an altcoin? on: September 17, 2014, 02:32:56 PM
Basically what everybody wants is: a coin you can get very cheap (doesn't matter if you can mine a lot quickly, buy very cheap from the market, or just get it in a giveaway), its value explodes very quick and from that point it grows continuously.

Easier said: easy money for everybody.
Obviously that's not actually possible.

Good things for a coin:
- smart, active and hard-working devs  (though smart and hard-working usually are mutually exclusive), if they are already known here, even better.
- good community
- ASIC resistance is a trend these days, CPU-only even better.
- completely anonymous transactions are a good addition these days
- easy to use wallet for all OS from second 1, working stratum pools from second 1, exchange very early.
- the possibility to merge mine it with other popular coins is a nice addition
- a way to spend the coins on goods as early as possible (even if only  in a game)
16625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With all these new threads about Monero would you buy it right now ? on: September 17, 2014, 02:00:01 PM
Monero seems to get too much attention from all the directions, which for me is actually scary.
I own a tiny amount of Monero and after all my excitement about it at start, now my feeling are mixed exactly because of the too much attention.
16626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best age to introduce your kids to Bitcoin? on: September 17, 2014, 01:19:55 PM
As late as possible. I'd even prefer to talk with them after they've found out about BTC by themselves.

Yeah, it sounds bad, so I'll explain.
This area is completely unregulated. Here the scams are something usual. Also don't forget about gambling. All these are best to get in contact with as late as possible imo, when you start knowing human nature better, when you know some basics to protect yourself.
16627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 17, 2014, 12:08:19 PM
I did the upgrade to latest on windows and it works fine.

I'd say:
- either some files are not OK for linux
- either your daemon was working when you did the upgrade and you actually have the old daemon.

Please don't throw stones on me if I'm wrong!
16628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ryan Pumper: Pumpers Picks (Updated Daily) on: September 17, 2014, 11:29:00 AM
Hi.

First of all, thanks for the info you are sharing. Please keep posting the older info, I like this thread, I use it to learn, not to trade YET.

Second: for the giveaway, the only requirement is retweet? More retweets increase the chance? Or..?

Thanks.
16629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New faucets? on: September 17, 2014, 07:06:13 AM
The best ones I know are http://freebitco.in/?r=779433 and http://freedoge.co.in/?r=10440. If you are (very) lucky you can get even 0.4 BTC in one shot.

Wow this sounds great, 0.4 btc really?
Probably there will be a winner every year or so Tongue

I don't know. I've got the values from line 1, 2 and 3, but no luck for better values yet. I don't know how often the others happen. I'll let you know if I'll get that :p

Thanks.
16632  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 4.5% daily return... What idiot believes this? on: September 15, 2014, 08:39:42 PM
It's a simple Ponzi game. Last in will get nothing. Only a few at start seem to have gotten some reward, enough to gain some credibility.

16634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really believe that Bitcoin will hit 1,000,000 on: September 15, 2014, 11:39:12 AM
Imho the only chance BTC to get to 1 mil $ is that USA get in a such bad shape the $ drops to at least 100 times lower value.

But as I also stated, $ is just paper. A better question would be a relationship between the prices for BTC, gold, platinum and maybe other "hard to get" physical things.

16637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacked Wallet on: September 15, 2014, 10:07:28 AM
Only from the address, the chance to hack your wallet is 1,000,000,000 smaller than winning at the lottery.
To brute force attack it, there is no such computing power yet.

If you gave your computer, you may have had the wallet files there (maybe even without password!), maybe old copies which were there (or undeleted?).
Or, maybe you got a pretty keylogger (from a website or from a friend that borrowed your computer) and then it's all simple!

16639  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: can i mine with a regular laptop? on: September 13, 2014, 01:48:52 PM
With a laptop? None. The risk to fry the laptop is too big.
16640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one really NEED bitcoin on: September 12, 2014, 03:00:56 PM
Nobody needs fiat either. It's just useless paper. However, everybody uses it. Banks' ponzi game.
