16621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Ransom on: December 18, 2017, 04:14:56 PM
This is why we should never reveal about our Bitcoin holdings to anyone. (Unfortunately I have made that mistake many times here in this forum). And this is exactly what the authorities are forcing us to do. They want us to reveal our crypto-coin holdings, so that they can tax us to the death. And this in turn makes us sitting ducks for the criminals.
16622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the Winklevoss twins would sell all their bitcoins? on: December 18, 2017, 04:12:31 PM
So, what would happen if the Winklevoss twins would sell all their bitcoins (or a big chunk of it)? Would the price go down quickly or would others just buy the coins in the hope it will rise even more?

Why should they sell any of their coins? If I am not wrong, they have kept it aside for the creation of a Bitcoin-based ETF. And the indications are that they are going ahead with that plan and trying to get the ETF listed in the major exchanges. So we don't need to worry about the Winklevii selling their coins. On the other hand, we need to worry about Roger Ver's coins.
16623  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Huge fee in blockchain.info on: December 18, 2017, 04:06:25 PM
hey guys
whats goin on with blockchain.info. there is Huge fee calculation on trasfer

it asking 0.00354522 BTC fee for transferin 0.02BTC  !

What is the size of the transaction? There is a possibility that your coins contains a lot of dust and therefore the size is much bigger than expected. You can use this website to calculate the minimum fee required:

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com

Right now, it takes a fee of around 400 Sat/Byte for instant confirmation. If you are ready to wait for a few hours, then you can manually lower the transaction fee in blockchain.info.
16624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to pay $8200 for 1 BTC if you are a newbie? on: December 18, 2017, 03:14:22 PM
Is bitcoin still a good investment for newbies? Is it worth to pay almost $8200 for 1 BTC today?

WTF? It is really difficult to believe that the exchange rate was just 8K last month. How long this rally is going to last? I am waiting for a correction even since 2017 January, when the exchange rates rose from $200 per coin (2016 Jan). Anyway, I just hope that the OP had purchased some coins after creating this thread. Right now, he will be at an ROI of 130%.
16625  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Colonising Planets on: December 18, 2017, 03:09:47 PM
This will eventually be possible, but not in a very near future. Stll too many technological problems to solve first. The first and foremost is that planets beyond our solar system are for the moment totally out of our reach.

Definitely that is a major issue. For example, let's say that an exoplanet is 1,000 light years away from earth. How is it even possible to travel to that planet, given that we can never achieve the speed of light? Right now we are able to travel at around 1/10,000th of the speed of light, and at that rate, it will take 10 million years to reach this planet.
16626  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Main Cause of accidents/road safety on: December 18, 2017, 03:07:33 PM
Text and drive, speeding, drink driving, and stupid drivers. Common problems especially in Asian countries. The death increased to 5% every year.  Undecided

Please explain the logic behind this 5% figure. Are you saying that 5% of all the drivers in Asian countries die every year? Or are you saying that the deaths from traffic accidents are increasing by 5% per year in the Asian countries? It depends on the country. The situation is not the same every where. You can't compare countries such as Japan and Singapore to India and Bangladesh.
16627  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fastfood can potentially Kill Us! on: December 18, 2017, 03:01:52 PM
Actually! yeah that exclamation mark is needed here...

People have made the fastfood as their primary food...& this is the problem...Let the McD a surplus food store and do not turn it into a main course food store...

Problem is with us & not with the fast food. For God sake admit it... Tongue

I am someone who have regularly taken fast food for more than 10 years and I find nothing wrong in it. While choosing for a restaurant from where you need to eat regularly, there are a lot of factors which needs to be taken care of. Safety of the food is one of the concerns, but so are other factors such as affordability, taste and preparation time.
16628  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the causes of climate change? on: December 18, 2017, 02:58:33 PM
The cause of climate change is pollution, deforestation, water pollution, etc. It destroys our ecosystem that causes landslide, soil erosion, and floods. We need to plant more trees to lessen the pollution in earth.

Planting more trees is not the right solution. What is the point in planting a few trees, when tens of thousands of square kilometers of virgin forest is being deforested every year? If you want to neutralize the effects of deforestation, then you need to plant millions of hectares of forest. It is plain impossible, because that much land is not free.
16629  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will the world be like in 100 years on: December 18, 2017, 02:55:35 PM
I think it will become worst. There will be a war between all countries. There will be bombs everywhere, nukes will landing in different places, bloods and dead people will seen in the streets, and many people will become slaves.

Nope. I think that the opposite will happen. As technology progresses, people will become less interested in fighting. Also, human life will become more valuable (because most of the couples will be having just one or two children). Slavery will cease to exist, as people will become more educated, sensitive, and prone to political correctness.
16630  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: December 18, 2017, 02:51:56 PM
I believe that alcohol should be avoided because it has too many bad consequences, and with its frequent use, even premature death is possible. You need to enjoy life without alcohol and drugs

It is up to the individual to decide whether he want to use alcohol/drugs or not. It is a matter of personal liberty (as long as the individual is above 18 years of age). And if the alcohol is consumed in moderation, there won't be any negative health effects. There are hundreds of millions of people who are consuming alcohol in the world. Most of them are not facing any health issues.
16631  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: December 18, 2017, 02:48:41 PM
For me the best punishment for all rapist is torture not death because I want to feel them the pain before they die because it is not fair that they will just die in a gun shot on his head. I think we need a law like this in all countries.

In this case, I have to agree with you. For a woman, rape is even worse than death. So the punishment which should be given for a rapist must be more harsh than the one which is to be given for the murderers. I like your suggestion of constant torture. What about locking up the convict in some remote penal colony, where he has to work for 16 hours a day?
16632  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: December 18, 2017, 02:44:50 PM
War in the east of Ukraine, annexation Crimea, corruption, stupid society and goverment.

So you are from Ukraine? Great. All these issues could have been avoided, if the usage of Russian language was permitted in Eastern Ukraine. But the Kiev regime tried to ban Russian news channels and media. I don't understand. How can you even ban a language which is used by 60% of the population as the primary home language?
16633  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the Most Peaceful Countries? on: December 18, 2017, 02:17:50 PM
The Japanese are not only law-abiding, but also ethical...for example, they will never throw garbage on the street...which is not true about some other countries...although they don't even have a fine for it...it's just a matter of ethics...and I'm proud of them

Have you ever visited Singapore? That nation is also like that. The people are very law abiding and they never throw any garbage in the street. In fact, I would regard Singapore as the cleanest, safest and most friendly country in the world. I have been to that country only once, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The same can be said about South Korea as well.
16634  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenders. on: December 18, 2017, 01:45:28 PM
Gay's, Lesbians and Bisexual this are what we call the transgenders.

Nope. Gays and Lesbians are different from Bisexuals. And all three types are different from transgenders. Bisexuals are ones who are sexually attracted to both males and females. Gays and Lesbians don't have any attraction to the opposite sex, and they are attracted only towards their own sex. On the other hand, transgenders are individuals who are confused about their own gender, irrespective of their sexuality.
16635  Other / Politics & Society / Re: End of the World on: December 18, 2017, 01:38:27 PM
I think this is near, but I don't know When, only God knows. Because of many sign appear in our world, like War, Diseases and Calamity. So its better to love our love ones, friends and other people around you, do good works to your neighbor. and for me the most important you do is share the Gospel to your love ones.

Oh please keep your gospel on to yourself. Here in India, we already have a lot of such gospel preachers in the form of militant organizations such as the NSCN and the NLFT. These people will first ask you to convert to Christianity at gunpoint. And if you refuse, then they will kill you or rape you. During the past few decades, they have forcibly converted more than 1,000,000 people, especially in the states of Tripura, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

First time i've heard about that dude but that just goes to show that it's not just muslims who have a radical faction within it. If the end of the world comes, it will be through our own hands by being too ignorant and self centered. Or some natural causes like an asteroid collision of course

The difference between Muslims and Christians is that among the Christians, the groups such as NLFT and NSCN represents only a small minority. As far as I know, not many people outside India support these groups. But the problem with Islam is that a huge number of Muslims support groups such as the ISIS and the Al Qaeda.
16636  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: December 17, 2017, 08:10:40 AM
Bitcoin is a very promising investment, and it proves that this year has risen almost 20x or 2000%, no investment can match the bitcoin so I will make it a top priority to replace gold.

Gold can't be replaced with Bitcoin because both are having different purposes. Bitcoin is a digital asset, which can be used as a medium of payment. On the other hand, gold is a physical asset which has been used for the past thousands of years as a medium to safely store your wealth. So in future also, gold will maintain its place in our portfolio and it will exist simultaneously with Bitcoin.
16637  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: December 17, 2017, 08:07:45 AM
I think holding of bitcoin is better than holding od gold because its storage is practical, tax free in addition we can also easily to take it when we have a sudden need. bitcoin prices are also rapidly rising so we can benefit quickly.

None of these are true, with the exception of the argument that the Bitcoin prices are rising.

Gold needs storage only if it is in the physical form. Paper gold (ETF) can be stored digitally in your demat account. And earnings from Bitcoin are not tax free. Depending on the definition of Bitcoin, you either need to pay income tax or capital gains tax on your profits from Bitcoin sales.
16638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: December 17, 2017, 08:02:11 AM
There are similarities obviously. Yahoo went down due to the arrogance of its management. They refused to adopt to the changing climate and completely ignored the challenges from its competitors (such as Google). The same is happening now. The core developers remain blind to the scaling issues and they are ignoring the competitors such as Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum.
16639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin rate will increase to $1,000,000 in three years - McAfee on: December 17, 2017, 07:58:26 AM
If something like that happens, then do you guys think that the governments will just sit back and watch? Bitcoin is an asset which can never be controlled by the governments (unlike the case with treasury bonds, fiat cash, equities, mutual fund and to some extent bullion). Here in India, the government is trying to charge Bitcoin users with treason charges!!!
16640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I too late to join the party? on: December 17, 2017, 07:55:53 AM
It is never too late to join the party, unless the exchange rate rises to something like $100,000 per coin or $500,000 per coin. Even now, Bitcoin is having a lot of potential for future growth. Right now, we are having less than 100 million users (liberal estimate). Imagine what can happen, if the user base increases to 1 billion or even 2 billion users.
