16621  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: has anyone tried freebitco.in investment? on: October 11, 2017, 12:32:32 PM
For me, freebitco.in is quite good in terms of reputation. I'm pretty sure people have been using their faucet for a long time already, though I'm not sure about their gambling feature. But personally though, I really don't trust any site that offers "investments". Not that I think freebitco.in is legit, it's just that I always automatically think of "scam" or "ponzi" when reading the term "investment" when browsing cryptocurrency websites.

I was always skeptical about freebitco.in investment and all the changes they have made, but it seems like they are doing fine after all this time. the site is turned into a proper gambling site instead of just being a faucet.

I tried their investment (4.08% annual profit) by making a small deposit and by following the funds I see their main wallet currently contains 508BTC that is $2.4 million!
https://blockchain.info/address/1CE5T4P6WmFUQvQFwvedgTEc5Z7BSVJLVN

does anyone have any feedback on their services?

for example I didn't find any Contacts/support/ticket section on the site. what do you do if you have an issue?
I searched and found contact formular at FAQ. First log in, then go to FAQ and scroll down to "How can I contact you?". There you see the contact form. Didn't find any other contact infos. That's wired.
I didn't invest, because the interests would be to low for little amounts, so I prefer Bitfinex for lending. At earlier times I used poloniex, as I still trusted them.
If you want information about them, then here are some. Not sure if these information are legit though.

16623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin goes up so high? on: October 11, 2017, 01:30:25 AM
In theory, bitcoin should go up simply because of the very low supply of 21 million BTC and it's increasing demand.

Recently though, bitcoin is going up fast probably because of the upcoming bitcoin gold fork (25th October 2017). People hoping that by holding bitcoin, they're expecting to sort of "double" their investments or receiving "free" money due to them receiving bitcoin gold after the fork, as they're somewhat expecting this fork to go the same way like the recent BitcoinCash fork months ago.
16624  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i convince my client to pay me in bitcoins? on: October 11, 2017, 12:53:08 AM
If he/she doesn't want to go through the hassle of learning about bitcoin then creating a wallet then buying through exchanges to send them to you(as I don't think Coinbase supports Argentina correct me if I'm wrong), then just accept the PayPal funds, then transfer it to your bank, then use your bank funds to buy bitcoin. Simple. I don't think the PayPal fees are significant enough. I honestly wouldn't force my client to take time and learn about bitcoin for just enough knowledge on how to buy and send bitcoin safely and correctly if he/she really isn't interested.
16625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: when do you buy ? on: October 10, 2017, 03:18:37 PM
Completely depends on what your goal is. You plan to short term trade? Then simply buy dips and sell when it goes higher. Planning on investing long term? Then it doesn't matter what price you're buying it at if you're expecting it to multiply in price in the future.

The thing is, no one can make like super accurate predictions. Bitcoin's price movements are more dependent on news(bans, regulations, etc), which are pretty much unpredictable unless you have like secret government  insider information.
16626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ripple vs Bitcoin, updates on: October 10, 2017, 11:31:26 AM
Ripple is a payment protocol that has been developed in different stages since 2004 with the idea of creating a decentralised monetary system and allowing its users to create their own money.
Probably created with the idea of a decentralized monetary system; but currently I don't think you can call Ripple "decentralized". Sure, ripple also uses encryption techniques for security purposes, but ripple is created specifically for banks; which is the complete opposite of bitcoin's goals.

Is Ripple a good investment? probably.

Will I personally use Ripple? I don't think so.

Will it surpass bitcoin one day? In terms of what? Market cap? Then I don't think so.
16627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I can make money with cryptocurrencies? on: October 10, 2017, 10:49:31 AM
Look at cryptocurrencies like the stock market. It can go up, it can go down, it can stay stable for however long. How do you take advantage and or make money off of this? It's either you trade regularly (buying low, selling high, ofcourse) or invest in it, hoping that it would go up in the future.
16628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lets recommend books on: October 10, 2017, 02:44:44 AM
Could anyone also recommend any video from experts in the industry?

Basically any videos or books of Andreas Antonopoulos is a good source of information. If you want books, just search "Andreas Antonopoulos" on Amazon and his few books will be listed there for purchase. If you want videos though, head over to Andreas Antonopoulos' YouTube channel: aantonop. Most of his videos are quite long, but damn; the sheer knowledge of that guy makes me jealous.
16629  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WARNING: Site onestpay stole all my btc on: October 10, 2017, 02:12:58 AM
Really unfortunate. Think optimistic and look at it as a lesson. Who knows, If you didn't get scammed now, you might have been scammed in the future but with bigger amounts of bitcoin.

Next time I suggest sticking with reputable sites instead, instead of taking risks using not-so-reputable sites like onestpay. Also, if you really wanted FIAT money, go with localbitcoins instead. If you're lucky enough to have buyers in your city or somewhere near you, then you can probably sell your bitcoin for paper cash, which is alot easier than selling for PayPal then transferring the PayPal funds to your bank account. Best of luck.
16630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Debian wine and wallets on: October 10, 2017, 01:14:45 AM
Based on the screenshot you've given, it looks like you're trying to open or install "SquallCoin wallet" and not a bitcoin wallet. Your best bet would to ask the SquallCoin developers/community instead. Since they don't have their own forum, and their website is down for some reason, go ask them at their ANN thread instead. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763406.0
16631  Other / Meta / Re: search for pre-ann on: October 09, 2017, 04:04:17 PM
Click on the "advanced search" icon beside the search bar.

Fill up the form like so. You should be able to accomplish what you're trying to do:

And of course, click on "Search".
16632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this too good to be true! on: October 09, 2017, 02:59:32 PM
I doubt that. Looks like a shady business to me. Don't just believe anything they are saying. 0.5 btc is too huge for a trial at that site. That's $2000+ in value! That's too good to be true. Don't you even dare to deposit because it's suspicious to me. Also i made my own research abot that site. It's a trading platform which offers both forex and bitcoin trading. I found out that this is a scam.
https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/usi-tech/

usi tech Is Dubai based currency trading company. This year they started bitcoin trading with 100 k investment. Recently they started package with as little as 50 euro. They also have office in US https://371e8496.usi-tech.info

And you buy that? They don't really have an office in Dubai and even in America. They just made that up. Don't just believe on anything you see. If you look for reviews about it. Most are claiming that this is just a scam. http://ethanvanderbuilt.com/2017/07/19/usi-tech-scam-yes-opinion/

alicn12 is a Newbie account that has only been registed on October 03, 2017, 08:27:02 PM. Most likely an account made primarily just to somewhat promote that website. I mean, looking at the domain itself is fishy enough. Reading the website's content, it looks like it's just giving the people false expectations. "IN THE PAST WE HAVE MANAGED TO OBTAIN A PROFIT OF UP TO 150% FOR OUR CUSTOMERS". yeah, bullshit.
16633  Economy / Exchanges / Re: best platform bittrex poloniex yobit on: October 09, 2017, 12:26:49 PM
I personally use bittrex; I've used it for more than half a year and I had no problems whatsoever. I'm not sure, but I think Poloniex is still having complaints in terms of customer support, as I've read a good amount of Reddit posts months ago about their funds getting locked up for months. I personally wouldn't risk it.

Why not just try all 3 out and use what you personally prefer most?
16634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for traders! many places of the world! on: October 09, 2017, 11:21:04 AM
If you want local bitcoin buyers and sellers, just head over to https://localbitcoins.com. That site should contain everything you need. Just filter out through all the buyers and sellers by selecting what specific countries you're interested in.
16635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Air Drops - How to tell if one is Authentic or a Scam? on: October 09, 2017, 01:52:05 AM
It's really hard to tell which ones are real  Huh
hi, there is some websites repertoring the good ones, otherwise try to find information abouter team...website, community etc.
The thing is, airdrops should be FREE. So there's literally zero risk in trying to determine if a certain cryptocurrency's airdrop is legit or not, as like I said earlier, you would probably only need to sign a message to confirm that the wallet is indeed yours. You can literally just join every single airdrop in existence and you wouldn't lose anything but your time.
16636  Other / Meta / Re: Viewing this forum on mobile on: October 08, 2017, 05:53:06 PM
there is android app for this site but not try from me

you can check it at

Not saying that it's unsafe, but I personally wouldn't trust it. That android app isn't made by the Bitcointalk staff(correct me if I'm wrong). They could possibly put in some shady code in that app that could steal your login credentials. I would only use it if it's open source.
16637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Air Drops - How to tell if one is Authentic or a Scam? on: October 08, 2017, 05:24:00 PM
Uh. You can easily tell if one is legit or a scam just simply by checking if they actually sent you the coins. Legit air drops don't ask for your private keys. Usually they just ask you to send a small amount to them or sign a message then send it to them to confirm that the wallet is indeed yours. NEVER. GIVE. OUT. YOUR. PRIVATE KEYS. It's just like giving a hacker your social media account's password.
16638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: looking for a good trader on: October 08, 2017, 03:27:15 PM
It would be better to state here why you're looking for good traders. People will almost automatically think you're into some shady stuff(Considering you're also using a Newbie account) if you require a private message/e-mail to tell them privately what you're looking for.
16639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduction on: October 08, 2017, 08:24:07 AM
Sup. Good choice on deciding to join conversations instead of learning. I'm sure some people would appreciate what your views on things are.

Anyway, on to the airdrops method instead of ICOs. I personally prefer the airdrops route, since you literally don't have to invest anything to get a share of the coins. You know how some ICOs are, whereas they only exist just to grab the offerings of the people and run with it. I'm not saying ICOs are bad though, as I think ICOs are better in terms of funding certain projects. It's just that I think most ICOs are getting too much offerings than the amount they needed to decently function and they're so much shitty ICOs out there that I only somewhat trust a very small number of all the ICOs we have now.
16640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where does your biggest return come from, in cryptocurrency ? on: October 08, 2017, 07:45:47 AM
I simply just held a small decent amount of NEO when it was still around $6, and when it was still branded as "Antshares". Comes to show how much gains you can gain by simply just being patient and holding your cryptocurrency investments. It's better too compared to daytrading in my opinion, as I wouldn't have to stare at charts all day.
