I read on reddit that James Maddison plays in FPL... The funny thing is that he owns Richarlison.

While R. James decided to give up possession of Chelsea players.  Grin

It is really awkward for James to play three Liverpool attacks against Chelsea. No way am I believing R. James owns this squad.  There is no way James would pick 11 players without adding any of his teammates. Nice try, Icopress, but I'm not convinced.

They'll probably end up with the equal amount of starts  Cheesy

In this case the prize goes to the good looking one. ( J. STONES)  Grin

I'll take anyone up on a sidebet that Gvardiol will start more games this season than Stones will.
This bet is super on your side lol, looking at Gvardiol starting ratio all through out last season they were high for both club and country, although stones impressed me last season In the back and on the attack, and Pep can be unpredictable in his selection which makes your bet interesting. I don't think Manchester city went through all that troubles not to play Gvardiol at the center of their defense as much as they can.

Last season, Gvardiol battled injuries and missed the majority of the season. He is also in a more intense league and a fresh environment, so there is a 50% possibility that he will struggle to adapt, and a 50% chance that he will do well in his first season and cement his place in the starting IX. Both players are injury prone and that makes the bet more interesting.

I support your application. I tried to give some merits to posts you showed and would like to help in the future as well. Local boards should get more sources and merit distribution should be all over the forum. A fair distribution cannot be made when there are only a few active sources.

Thank you- If you need help I can always send you links of worthy posts written in pidgin. The distribution ratio in our local board is very low.

Appreciate your support @Salahmu

@CLS63 please can you add these side bets between I, trofo and Harkorede https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406159.msg62622150#msg62622150

I have added it to the spreadsheet but I couldn't be sure exactly. I would be glad if you can check it again if it is correct.

Correction

Igebotz x Harkorede: Who will finish higher in the FPL Pool not the EPL Pool. Others are correct. Thanks

If you'd like to lower any of the other bets we have (your pick) and add this one in with that amount - I'm good with it Smiley
Well, we can consider this bet as we like, since the player who received more starts definitely cannot have less minutes played than the other.

Counting number of starts instead of minutes played is easier to avoid miscalculation.

1.5mBTC! ONLY start games.....what's your offer?

We can do 0.0015BTC, I'm down for anything from 0.001-0.025BTC.

2.5mBTC! Only start games not number of minutes right?
Only EPL games (38)

You see how easy it is to be objective when you don't have the player and how emotions get the better of you when you do. Gabriel is exactly the same story as Stones just more nailed. He felt something during the training and the did not want to risk him but he was already good enough to enter for couple of minutes.

C' mon man! What's you waffling about  Grin  I have both players, and when I checked my team, there was no sign that Gabriel was injured. This is a game of passion, and emotions often play a role, but trust me when I say that my analysis is always objective.

I don't have him on my team and don't consider having him as well. With the signs already surfaced, I don't think Pep would  what could have been a minor hamstring injury turning into something serious and that leaves me to think he just might not feature in the Newcastle game. Its another risk leaving him on the team instead of using him for a substitute player.

According to a City source, he will just miss the Super Cup final against Seville and will be available for the Newcastle United game. Only speculations though.

I'll take anyone up on a sidebet that Gvardiol will start more games this season than Stones will.

1688  Other / Meta / Re: Igebotz Nigerian Local Board Merit Source Application on: August 12, 2023, 08:48:21 PM
A general  board merit source. He is not a Nigerian local board source, but as a local, he assists in whatever manner he can. His Source is insufficient to cover two boards (General and Local). We need a source that is particular to our board, just as it is on other local boards. Some local have more than three.
Since he is an active member of Nigerian local board and a merit source, that means that you as a local board have merit source. It's another problem that his merit allocation is not enough and that you need more merit sources, which I hope will be sorted soon.

We have a couple of merit sources and all of them are also sharing merit in general part of them forum and I believe it's the same with majority (if not all) merit sources. There's no rule where merit sources have to share their link monthy allocation.

Yes, he has one of the lowest allocations compared to the new sources that thyemos added a few years ago. How do you manage smerits that accounts for less than 10% of all active posters? Pidgin is tough for individuals who are not Nigerians to comprehend, making it difficult for a random merit source to patrol and drop something on a post they can't even read.

Do nothing with Stones before we get more info. He got injured on last trainging is first news. Could be something minor or not, no point in reaction before we know. He is still the most nailed City defender for me.

I've said it before:  Stones owners don't spend your FT on getting Stones out; he's Pep's first choice at CB, and I expect him to start against Newcastle united. He felt his hamstring, but it doesn't appear to be major, so he should be able to return to training sooner.

My main issue right now is Gabriel, who no longer looks like a starter and has lost his starting place to Ben White.

Gabriel =>> Saliba
1690  Other / Meta / Re: Igebotz Nigerian Local Board Merit Source Application on: August 12, 2023, 05:12:53 PM
Merit distribution may be doing well on the General Board, but some of the local boards are far behind in terms of merit distribution ratio + Nigerian local board is the only active board without a merit source + we have an avarage of 120 active members monthly.
. Yeah I knows, it sucks that local boards usually have to wait got overall merit amount shared to drip down to have a chance to get their own, but for some reason theymos tends do do it that way. But who knows knows, maybe he change that approach and starts approving new merit sources individually and not in bulk.

By the way, isn't CryptopreneurBrainboss merit source?

I will drop a PM for thyemos later this week to keep him on the radar.
1691  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bureau De Change Asking Government to Ban Binance to Save Naira on: August 12, 2023, 04:27:12 PM
Nigerian government no go fit ban Binance P2P, dem fit ban Binance exchange but not the P2P, Binance exchange self no get license to operate for Nigeria (I believe dem no get head office here) so no how wey government wan ban dem unless dem go ban Nigeria IP (through the network providers) just as dem ban Nigeria IP from accessing Twitter few years back but dat one no mean say we no go fit access am as boys go run VPN continue our hustle. Make we leave dat side enter the impact of Binance P2P on the market, you know know say Binance P2P get one of the highest volume of dollar to naira trading for Nigeria and there's no how e no go get effect on the general market.

If Binance is banned in Nigeria then accessing the exchange with a VPN from a banned jurisdiction is against Binance T & C we hope it doesn't get to this point.

The fact that every new CBN Governor in Nigeria is usually worse than the prior ones is worrying; I believed the new one had a nice system in place before implantation with all his Naira/dollar trade unification ideas, but I was wrong; everything is now a shambles. The banks are weakening the Naira, but na the innocent Nigerians dey always take blame. Lol

WHAT if someone enters my staked address since it's public how will the admin verify this?
That would give you access to restore the account. It's kinda like someone who posts your Bitcoin address to receive a payment: it's dumb Tongue

So, in order to gain access to the account, one must still sign a message from the submitted staked address. That makes more sense now, I missed that part.  Cool
1693  Other / Meta / Re: Igebotz Nigerian Local Board Merit Source Application on: August 12, 2023, 10:36:35 AM
Are we even sure theymos even reads these threads? He hasn't really been so active posting lately, just the dt log.
Since some of those who applied to become merit sources eventually became merit sources, I think that it's safe to assume that theymos checks them.

Problem is that theymos usually adds new merit sources in bulk when he notices that overall amount of merit shared significantly dropped down so it can take quite a while to get these applications approved. From what I saw regarding merit shared data, numbers are still quite good so I doubt any application will be approves soon. Hope that I am wrong though and theymos proves me wrong.

Does he read them? Yes, I believe he does. He may appear inactive, but I want to believe he reads the Meta.

Merit distribution may be doing well on the General Board, but some of the local boards are far behind in terms of merit distribution ratio + Nigerian local board is the only active board without a merit source + we have an avarage of 120 active members monthly.

is there any chance for Security question to be removed in future
It should be replaced: "To help retrieve your password, enter a Bitcoin address here that you'll use to sign a message.".

WHAT if someone enters my staked address since it's public how will the admin verify this?

The security question is optional and not recommended - I don't see getting removed though.

OKAY ..Can someone create a spreadsheet for all these side bets I wouldn't like anyone to use my trust page as notepad.

Hey. As far as I can follow I tried to create a spreadsheet with all side bets. I'm leaving it here for you to follow. Please check it out to see if there is something I did wrong.

SpreadSheet

This is great - I placed a side bet with Harkorede, so I think that's the only thing missing from the spreadsheet, and certainly you can lock the spreadsheet once you've input all of the season's side bet details? send you with details about the other side bets shortly.

Good job brother. Please add the side bet between me and Mouse

I hope the spreadsheet is enough - I didn't want to wander around the forum with a trust page filled with side bet notes tag, so I didn't leave any.

I also transferred in Stones + Grealish for Saka at the last minute and now it seems that Stones is injured (so I swapped him out for my Aston Villa bench). And Grealish was never intended to be a long term pick anyway, I was hoping he'd score a few thundercunts at the first few games.

Well I was already going to sell Stones for GW2 anyway, but hopefully I am not wrong about Saka as I still have Odegaard (and Gibbs-White).

It helps to have a strong bench in times like these, that's why I didn't buy 6.0 forward like Wissa or JP.

Pep and his mind game once again - Stones was injured in training before the game and he never talked about it, he kept it quiet, I'm not sure he's gotta be available for next GW he's my long term plan thus I'd prefer have him on my bench until I know the extent of his injury.

Saka and Ode were in my long-term plan last season; I already have Saka, but I didn't have enough balance to get Ode, so I'm keeping an eye on him for now

Pep Roulette is going to kill most managers this season.

Caidedo and Lavia parade in front of Liverpool fans on Sunday will hit like a crack.

@Igebotz, continue your good work.

I do not know if this is necessary:

I mean here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357434.msg57824603#msg57824603

To be changed from DT2 to DT1.
Done!

Thank you for reminding me, and welcome to DT1! But I haven't paid much attention to that table since this year; the statistics and rankings are all outdated, and the photos are no longer visible, so there's a lot of confusion there.

Unlike the ranks, the DT status can be readily altered, therefore I'll have set up a Google form to collect the most recent information from every user on this board before the next update here.

didn't expect to be this easy for City against Burnley, but there is an obvious difference in class, and they scored fast goals
bad thing I didn't choose any more City players, nothing in defenders, and they will keep clean sheet, too many rotation to have City defenders in the team

I got Stone and dozed off, I didn't pay heed to the leaked lineup news, and now I'm paying for it with O pointer. Another reason I dislike city backlines is because you never know what will happen. The Burnley team has far too many youngsters; they will undoubtedly return to the Championship.

If KBD can't stay fit, he's a huge risk at his current price. Must be avoided at all costs. Age is starting to take its toll.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League ⚽ Pool Prize Fund (0.16 btc) on: August 11, 2023, 07:40:34 PM
Haaland looking like a popular name in here both as a starting player and captain ..and I thought 14million was too much money for one player Roll Eyes anyway great investment as Haaland is already on the scoresheet, hope our golden boot Winner 🏆  keeps getting those goals Cool

Kdb could be substituted for Kovacic as his injury concerns could have reoccured...not good for Kevin's fans  Embarrassed

Halaand will always be the main and captain guy; remove him at your own risk. We no longer have to worry about Halaand and Kane captaincy issues.

Oh Stone not in the starting IX. Pep I'm familiar with your game. The only Manchester City player worth getting is Halaand; everyone else is a gamble.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 11, 2023, 04:18:55 PM
We need to shake on a sidebet. Liverpool will finish above Chelsea for sure, so that's uninteresting. What do you propose?

I've already taken that side bet with another Liverpool supporter, BitcoinGirl, so you missed out on that one, but I'm open to other choices, or you can check out my prior postings for my open offers.

I see that there are quite many side bets to have been made this season. If I'm not mistaken there weren't many side bets made in the previous season. I think this topic will be much more entertaining this season. What do you think about the Caicedo transfer? The player looks quite determined about going to Chelsea. It is also obvious that Liverpool need to reinforce the team immediately.

I'm not sure what's taking us so long to present the new bid and finish up. He's already in London, awaiting medical. I had no idea he would reject Liverpool for Chelsea.
