Igebotz Nigerian Local Board Merit Source Application

Igebotz is one of the pillars of the Nigerian local board, he’s more than qualified for this position. You can alwasgs find Igebotz everywhere you look in the forum, he’s been consistent in his activities in the local board and never for once failed to update the local community on important and sensitive information. I hope the big man doesn’t take too long approve this merit source application, my local board needs it.

You can already tell from the replies that this thread has already received that Igebotz has not only been useful to the Nigeria board but also to other parts of the forum take for example the gambling board he’s part of those that are constantly scanning the board looking for spammers and it has had effect on that board.

Coming to the forum and discovering the Nigerian local board (it was still a single thread back then) igehh Igebotz was part of those who warmly welcomed my to the local board and also supported us back then and he’s still currently working wonders in the Nigeria board.

This a +1 support to this, I do hope Theymos accepts your request because we currently are in need of a merit source and Igebotz will do just fine.

I have expected this application long before now, but since it’s a voluntary work and can’t compel one you feel is qualified for it, you just have to wait for them to decide for themselves.
Igebotz have been a great member of the Nigeria Local Board and has made sure in his own way that the local board is a better place for both new and existing Naija locals there. Giving monthly statistics of users there also made the local board more interesting, all thanks to him. He is very suitable for this position of merit source he is applying for the Nigeria local board, and I join others to support him on this. I hope he’ll be considered and his request been granted soon.

I also support your application. Looking at your local forum, I see that many newcomers come, and I really want to call them very diligent guys who respect the rules of the forum. They have the right to rise in the ranks and enjoy the privileges of the forum like no other. And based on that, it would be useful to increase the number of sources of merit in this locale, and your candidacy, OP, is very worthy of it. I have always said that I have great respect for your people, and I think that if the admin allowed the opening of a separate local section, then maybe he will be attentive to our requests and allow you, OP, to become a source of merit.

I am pretty sure he reads, especially Meta threads. Another thing is that he doesn't write much, but that doesn't mean he doesn't read.

I support the Igebotz application, just as I repeatedly supported the creation of the local board for the large Nigerian community on Bitcointalk. I think the board would do better with Brainboss having some help as a merit source, and as far as I know, theymos now has at least two to choose from, Charles-Tim and Igebotz.

Great. Adding some contribution from my end that will get passed down to the right user. I just hope you filter out the greatest posts and that are more helpful. I am more or less natural going person so I’m usually just surfing the forum for my queries and writing back what’s on my mind so usually merit is something I forget about.

But definitely I am going to pick the habit soon so that others can benefit from it. These type of threads are definitely worth it. I think I only came across one thread a month ago and surfed to see the merit sources and it’s distribution. Good luck with your project mate.

@Igebotz, is one of the best in Nigeria local board, his commitment and contributions to our local board can not be overemphasized. One of his outstanding contributions is his monthly overview of Nigeria local board, which he tirelessly updates every month, and it rewards quality and most active posts. This has been a big motivation to members to be more active and committed in the Nigeria local board. I believe that if he becomes one of our merit sources, it will be an added advantage to the quality and growth of Nigeria local board.

I support your application Igebotz, and like i said in Charles-Tim's Nigerian board merit source application a few weeks ago, our local board definitely needs more merits/merit sources, it is pretty obvious that the board is undermerited and there are enough quality posts going on there. I know Theymos hardly makes any changes or additions immediately, it always takes time, but we can hope that when next he is adding new merit sources, he can consider you and Charles-Tim to be merit sources of our local board. Ever since I saw Charles-Tim application I waited and was expecting you to drop yours and finally you did it. You're one of those members who knows how to coordinate things in the Nigeria local board and I respect you for that.

Why merit source might not be a board specific authentication and accreditation, it’s always a necessary need for the growth of a people within their locale and the appreciation of quality posts across the board.
Nigerians on the forum and within our locale have been making lots of waves and are getting a great deal of what is due but then, a merit source would be some means to set the pace for growths and even so, we’ve got credible candidates that could take up the task. I speak for users like,

I join in drumming support for our very own IGEBOTZ. He deserves it as he got all it takes and stand the position of his application being approved and granted a merit source. So far my existence on this platform, I have seen his impart on the Nigeria local board to be very much excellent, unique and the first of its kind amongst the local boards. His creative input has sparked up the very much anticipated activities we see today on the local board steering members to be of meaningful engagement and having a good creative mindset to building up the Nigeria local board to where it is today.

I can say that the [CHARTS] Monthly Overview Of Nigeria Local Board📈 Monthly Merit Reward  as initiated by him has garnered much support from all divides as seen by many. Making him a merit sources will do more good to the platform as a whole because he has a good sense of judgement and can attest to good and quality post worth meriting. If he can do this statistics every month to show the performance of members accurately, then he can as well do better being a merit source.

Going through the thread and seeing the love and support from our fellow locals is enough to tell you that we don't take for granted all you do for the local board. We acknowledge the fight you put in getting us our local board, your relentless effort in making sure that the board is spam free and your unwavering support for newcomers like myself. I have also thought of this as well, you know most times when request are much it takes time to be honored especially this merits source request has been loaded recently and already two requests from our local board which is Igebotz and Charles-Tim. Then looking down to other locals there are also some users who are requesting to be granted as a merit source to their localities which I think would be a very challenging tasks to Theymos to have them all accessed. Maybe who knows it could take time to be honored but I believe with impact of some user in the forum they deserved to be given the privilege to be source.

So therefore I support this application to be given to Igebotz as a merits source. Igebotz is one of its kind that has fully devoted and volunteered himself to work immensely for the achievement of local board and, if there where to be childboard I would have also want him to become a mod as well because he is active in fighting against shitpost and spammers and I believe he has countlessly reported post that are of low standard, so Theymos if not for any reason just give him the benefit of doubt and see how he handles the power given to him.

It's very obvious that the Nigeria local board is fast growing with activities and members since after it got the approval on local board request, there are more prominent members of the forum being active on the board and the forum at large, having more than two merit sources on that local board is what will increase more active participation of members the more on the local board because they will find it more interesting to post and grow on thesame vein, i believe you will discharge the required role upto expectation if granted this request considering your timewhile experience on this forum, i wish you best of luck with the application.

Since some of those who applied to become merit sources eventually became merit sources, I think that it's safe to assume that theymos checks them.

Problem is that theymos usually adds new merit sources in bulk when he notices that overall amount of merit shared significantly dropped down so it can take quite a while to get these applications approved. From what I saw regarding merit shared data, numbers are still quite good so I doubt any application will be approves soon. Hope that I am wrong though and theymos proves me wrong.

Problem is that theymos usually adds new merit sources in bulk when he notices that overall amount of merit shared significantly dropped down so it can take quite a while to get these applications approved. From what I saw regarding merit shared data, numbers are still quite good so I doubt any application will be approves soon. Hope that I am wrong though and theymos proves me wrong.

The distribution of merit is still good and indeed there is no need to rush too much, plus I have noticed that many have volunteered to become sources of merit lately such as 1miau, icopress, and now Igebotz, and indeed there are some who are still not confirmed to be sources of merit, like bullrun2020bro whose application submission was at the end of November 2022 until now still waiting.
So it seems that it is indeed not easy to become a source of merit. The qualifications are very strict and Theymos is very careful in doing so.
Wishing them luck and getting the position they want to be more useful in the forum towards more members both local and general, their patience will soon be tested for waiting.
