This is too much guys, I am arguing that we need to stop giving you reminders and simply make all the players that are late drop down to lower leagues. Cryptofrka has made me do it this season as well but no way we are doing that next season. We have exactly the same deadline every single week since Season 1 started and I expect more from our participants. That is why we are having such pain to make quality questions to give you all at least 48 hours to answer them.

Sorry, submitted

I have no excuses for today, I simply forgot and @jayce reminded me. Otherwise I would probably submitted it way later. As for the punishment, Im totally okay with being drop down to the lower league. I am on division 1 and as of now I have -2 penalty points which is very unprofessional so yeah I think I should be punished way harder because of my neglience
We have penalties in the rules. There will not be any extra added. If you are late that is -1 point on table and you probably loose your H2H since you start with few questions less. I meant if you forget several times during season minus points plus lost matches will probably mean relegation. You will not get that penalty directly from us.

That way we should have more qoulity and only serius players in top divisions after couple of seasons.

There is one more penalty in the rules. That one is if you don't submit at all, more than 2 times per season you are out of competition. Late submission or not submitting creates unfair situations in H2H duels. We want to keep that to the minimum and still not alienate casual players. That is a thin line to thread.

I know this isn't exactly fair to the 5 of you that are late this time around to call you out, but this is the round that I was doing that and I believe this is the negative record of the season.

Great article Trofo as usual. Does cryptofrka help write this or is he usually too drink?
Articles and chat on Sportsbet page are just me. It is a continuation of what I was doing for fantasy and we just continued in the same way after Sportsbet decided to go all in on BSFL rather than fantasy. Maybe it will change one day but for now any mistakes or opinions voiced there are mine and I am the only one to blame Smiley Must admit it was easier to write about FPL, here it is usually winging it until inspiration hits while with FPL I always had an idea what I would write about.

Damn man, you are mixing thing up pretty badly or we aren't communicating them clearly enough.
That last part you quoted is from an article I wrote for Sportsbet 7 days ago. Just posted it here since it wasn't published. Now I have put the whole thing in code tag so I hope it will not confuse people but it is much harder to read.

We had a round 1 of the cup where 40 teams played and 12 got automatic pass to next round. You are the one of the teams that won and that means you will play in the next round. Next round will have 32 teams, 20 that won plus those 12 that got free pass. I think it is really very simple and don't know how to tell it in other words. From this stage onwards there is no free passes, you proceed to next round by winning matches. Simple as that.

Cup schedule does not exists yet. We will make it before the next cup round and then it will be available all the way to the final.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 17, 2023, 04:07:59 PM
Hey guys, new article is up - latest recap from cup round plus a short preview of round to come.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/soccer/news/bitcointalk-sports-fanatics-league-cup-round-1

And here is the one from last week that never ended on Sportsbet page, at least I couldn't find it. All of us were in Montenegro and by the time I was finished with the article, Steve was playing cricket and afterwards it sort of fell trough the cracks. I just remembered today to check about it. Very late, but better late than never Smiley

Code:
[b]Round 5 – Recap[/b]
Round 5 is over and this one was a bit strange since we had some people with excellent scores getting 8 correct picks and some barely making 2 correct picks. I guess we should have expected it since the questions had much more fringe sports than usual. There was some football of course, but it was all on youth tournaments, then we had a lot of tennis due to Wimbledon, some F1 action, DOTA and cricket. This was cricket first inclusion in the BSFL but not the last for sure. Sportsbet guys are really big on cricket and maybe it rubs on me a little, maybe I’ll even start to understand the rules soon 
We also had first usage of VAR in this round, Omikifuse decided to use one challenge and change his answer on cricket question but even that wasn’t enough to get him win in his match.

[i]Division 1[/i]
It is getting a bit boring writing about perfect streak from Cls63 but he managed to get another win, Igebotz provided good test but still lost 6:5 to division leader. Buwaytress and jeremypwr are the only ones able to somewhat match his pace and it seems like we will find our new champion between these guys. Slissy and casperBGD with huge wins, both getting 8 correct picks and giving no chance to their opponents.
[i]Division 2[/i]
Still the is most competitive division on the top with 5 of us inside 3 points. Cryptofrka the only dropping the points in this round with 6:6 draw against strongkored which was a cause for celebration for the rest of us. LFC_Bitcoin still the only player among all divisions with negative points. Come on man we know you are much better than this, time to buckle up and start winning some games.
[i]Division 3[/i]
Saint-loup is running away with title in Div 3A, his perfect score of five wins in five games gives him 15 points and runner up has only 9 points. This is already very respectable lead and with the form Saint-loup is showing it will probably get even bigger soon. Hakan2217 is leading Div 3B even with one game less played then most teams and this round he had another great performance in his duel against Jinetics which he won 7:4.

[i]BSFL Cup – Qualifying round[/i]
This week there isn’t a lot of top tier sports being played except Wimbledon so we decided to opt for cup qualifying round. Due to amount of registered players in BSFL, first 12 players from Div 1 are already in the main draw while qualifying round will get us another 20. That will make for a nice knockout cup bracket with 32 teams.
There is only 6 questions this week covering just tennis and football. They are already live and deadline is approaching fast. Go place your answers if you haven’t already.
Maybe cup competition will finally be the place where some of the best players will miss the step. Looking forward to seeing how league leaders Saint-loup and hakan2217 will perform here. Maybe this is the chance for some of those that aren’t doing so well to get some glory trough another competition.

Someone is in the table so I can't upload it. Why guys, why Huh It will never be updated before I post here Smiley

Never been there for two months; any possibility to lock it from next round till after everything is updated?
Table updated.

I like crytopad and way it works but it has some quirks. I can do everything in the table except import a new table while one of you is watching. But I don't want a hassle of copy/paste and opening new sheets and stuff like that when I can import with one click. Import works in a way that it resets whole document and probably isn't intended to be used the way I am using it but it is easiest method and only one that absolutely guarantees no discrepancies between our master sheet in excel and the one we are providing participants with.

Or, in not so many words, 'I'm just lazy' Grin

I skipped too, bro just explained the entire history of crytopad  Grin
That was for those willing to know more. You two lazy, ignorant bastards don't deserve explanation at all  Grin

Sorry about the penalty win Jinetics111 but that was literally a coinflip.

Didn't do so well to get a draw but as long as we progress it's all that matters.

@notblox1 yes please submit a UFC question! jeremypwr already sent one, so maybe we get 2 Wink

The volleyball and Golf are a bit hard to find, but good luck everybody searching, I'll let everyone flex hehe
Jeremypwr submitted 2 questions, one for MMA and one for box. Thanks for that jeremy. That will probably be more than enough for upcoming week. We can't have multiple questions from fringe sports. Multiple questions are reserved for football and sometimes tennis. Everything else is usually limited on 1 question per week.

CS:GO have different teams than DOTA, or same teams are playing those tournaments? just to know is picking Gaimin a good bet here
Well some organizations like Liquid have teams in both sports. Think of it like Barca having both football and handball squad plus some more. Definitely don't pick Gaimin, they don't exist as CS:GO team and that choice is bad enough to give you -1 penalty point. DOTA and CS have no connetion and there is absolutly no sharing of players. They are totally different squads, again think of Barca football and handball team. There isn't or will ever be a player playing for both  Grin

Least you guys must do on this question is open liquipedia page, click on Blast Premier and blindly pick one of the teams left in bracket. There shouldn't be many left by the time deadline comes. Each group has its own bracket.

The questions for the next league round are here!

It's been tricky to make questions once again but the football seasons are starting really soon and it should be more familiar in a week or so.
This is a round we can really proclaim as the one for the true sports fanatics Grin

It has everything in it, so a lot of advantage can be gained for those who do their research.

Deadline is the usual one, Tuesday 18th, 17:00 GMT.

Good luck!

This kid needs to be stopped, he's fast and he's stroking game is too powerful, this is my first time of watching him play.

will be stopped, at least today, but he is getting closer to winning GS's in series
seems that Djokovic started changing gear and playing better, or at least using experience to get back into match

finishing off tough match was always the hardest thing
This match is already a classic and we still have 5th set to be played. I don't think Alcaraz is finished here and expect him to again put Djoković under pressure. While I was writing this he just broke Djoković serve so now it is a moot point and anyone can be smart.

Anyway, great match where every second point is a tennis masterclass. Any other tennis player but these 2 would have already lost the match long time ago. Some of the defenses these guys can pull are absolutely unreal.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 16, 2023, 05:24:56 PM
Meanwhile, exactly the opposite happened: the Spaniard took the next two sets (7:6, 6:1) and now leading in the fourth set 1:0. Djokovic doesn't look that fresh and dominant as in the beginning of the match. Will he have enough energy and stamina to win this one? 35yo vs a 20yo very exciting to watch this duel!
Did you really question Djoković fitness? I don't think anyone can match the level of fitness Djoković is bringing to every single big tournaments in last 10 years. No big injuries, always 100% ready, doing yoga and what not every day.... I am sure Djoković will not give up and he will not run out of steam.

Only way for Alcaraz to win this is to play his absolutely best tennis all the way trough the end. And that gets really though against players like Djoković that will not give anything for free. I still think Alcaraz can win this even though he just lost 4th set quite easy.

Cool pick from LFC_Bitcoin about O Jaboer... and well deserved progress.
Why are you all congratulating LFC_Bitcoin? He is playing against me and I believe we are drawn at the moment and waiting for the penalties. Did not check the table since I can't do it on mobile but I remember we had different answer on WTA and goals in U19. I won U19 and he won WTA question. All the other answers should have been same.

But great pick on Jaboer, we agree there.

As for Djokovic vs Alcaraz, I don't understand the over confidence with most people here going with Djokovic because Alcaraz would definitely keep him on his toes all game long, and stand a very decent chance to me, to win the trophy.
I did not watch as much Wimbledon as I would have liked but I watched almost whole semi final matches and Alcaraz showed much more than Djoković there. Problem is we all know Djoković often plays as much as needed and just shifts gear until his opponent runs out of steam.

Should be a cracking final but I am not sure I am placing a bet on it. If I decide to do it I am probably going with over games or Alcaraz to win. Both are higher odds than Djoko ML and I am quite sure Alcaraz will give out a good performance today. Should be a battle for every point which we expected in RG and got robbed out of it.

They generate money same way footballers generate money, by promoting companies on their shirts and selling the right to club name. Esports are already big and they are getting bigger by the day, adapt or get left behind. Same as with any line of work  Grin

No way!

Perhaps they are also receiving sponsorship from Saudi Arabia, since they have more prize money than most tennis tournaments  Grin

Please give me another DOTA tips
It is different niche of products, you know gaming chairs or computer peripherals have to make commercials as well. Can you imagine better target audiance than gamers? Beer and football go hand in hand, while drinks like Monster are big esports sponsors. I am sure they have their math sorted out.

Also new generations are watching more and nore esports while football numbers are dropping outside major events like world cups or premier league. I even heard arguments to shorten football matches in order to better captivate young viewers who can't keep concentration for 2 hours straight.

As i said, like or not, we all have to adapt to new ways or we get left behind. Maybe new offaide rule gets implemented to all leagues and it will probably raise the number of goals significantly and maybe boost some other stats.

There are too many sporting events this month to have E-sport questions.

Can I spoil the fun for you by telling you that we might have another dota related question next round or the next one after  Roll Eyes. There is a huge event starting next week on dota with $15M prizepool so pretty sure that would be included in the future question

Yes, Trofo does not support any European clubs; he just supports the Croatian national team, and because of his small interest in DOTA games, I anticipate to see DOTA more frequently.

$15m? That's the usual amount of money in a tennis prize pool; how do they attract this many sponsors with so little TV, right? Only about 0.8% of the world's population watches such games.

How do they generate money sitting in front of a computer with fewer people viewing them? Trofo.

All the game I've lost this season is because of DOTA questions.   Grin
Not buying it for one second when it comes from the guy who supports Chelsea and then can't name first 11 when I make the question  Roll Eyes

They generate money same way footballers generate money, by promoting companies on their shirts and selling the right to club name. Esports are already big and they are getting bigger by the day, adapt or get left behind. Same as with any line of work  Grin

Kripto je no kcy, decentralizacija, p2p i takav treba zauvijek ostati. To je digitalni cash i ja ga obozavan takvog. Nije me strah jer sam usao u kripto zbog matrixa i slicno.

Pogotovo plakate di piše no kyc, veliki iznosi.
