First race of the 2023 season is in full throttle this weekend for the Bahrain Grand Prix!
Are you ready after finishing watching Drive to survive's new season like I did?
It opened up with a explosive start of controversy with all the F1 teams involved and you know this season will be no different.

So lights out and away we go with the announcement before every race!

I love that Sportsbet is having the Jake Paul event tonight and odds are very appeal for a KO from both sides I would say.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/paul-jake-vs-fury-tommy-63d26e7fb824ac6a5d6b77c5

I still wonder why Tommy would accept this fight as his name has a resonance in the boxing community and a defeat would not hang good him but for that amount of money ,everything is becoming possible.  Grin
Well, turns out he didn't lose, but it wasn't KO by anyone neither, just a disappointing entertainment fight and nothing more. His brother is out there making a legendary name out of himself that will stand the test of time, and the lil bro is just making a name by fighting youtuber brothers instead. What's next Logan fighting the big bro as a revenge? Lol.

All jokes aside, this was a fight that was never really meant to be taken seriously and I would never wager on something like this, there is absolutely no guarantee that it won't be fixed, like why would they even care, it is not even an official fight. This is why it is too dangerous for me to bet on it.
Logan Paul did get handed the microphone mid fight and call out Tommy saying he will lose the fight and all angry motives there.
But then after the fight he was humbled and even mentions something about his energy drink:

Yeah it was strange to see a big PRIME promotional advertisement in the octagon because I thought Dana White didn't want to do any collaboration with
Jake Paul from their last meeting.
But then I found out it is his brother Logan who owns the drink company:
https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/health-and-wellness/logan-paul-s-energy-drink-has-more-caffeine-than-the-legal-australian-limit-20230221-p5cm52.html
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2023/02/26/prime-drink-paul-logan-ksi
But then there was this article I've read that was published days before the fight:
https://adage.com/article/marketing-news-strategy/celsius-hires-jake-paul-brother-logan-paul-who-owns-prime-energy-drink/2475621
"Celsius challenges his brother Logan Paul’s emerging energy drink, Prime"
So he is just the ambassador of this new brand and not associated with Prime.
Well, technically even though they are brothers Jake Paul is not associated with Prime drink and actually, it was really Logan Paul and KSI who were the owners but sure even though Jake Paul would be the endorser of some other energy drink it doesn't really matter because he got his own mind to think for himself, but whatever the situation they're in they will still be brothers,

And for the 1st time, Jake Paul was defeated by Tommy Fury surely Jake Paul is not really ready for the real deal as a professional boxer, but surely the referee was always involved in their fight that I was distracted by the ref, but talk about the speed of Fury but surely Jake Paul is also not a slack he can throw some vicious punches right there but Tommy Fury speed is catching up to Paul, and while he is punching it he is not looking at his target so Tommy Fury is a better boxer here,
Think I saw a video of Logan Paul saying KSI is not longer with their collaboration any longer. But anyways, this is about Jake Paul and his fight with Tommy Paul who had was taped right before leaving heading back to the UK to celebrate his win at airport:

TOMMY FURY (AT AIRPORT) GOES IN ON DRAKE LOSING $400K BET, SLAMS JAKE PAUL EXCUSES & "AWFUL" KSI

CRISTIANO RONALDO REACTION FROM THE STANDS AFTER TOMMY FURY BEATS JAKE PAUL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzN9DevbkJw

Drake did bet on Paul and lost and even contacted Jake before the bout and said he had a $400,000 bet on him so knock Fury out so he will take him to the Turks & Caicos together after the fight:

Wow nice one @arallmuus because had a high scoring bet on that match with the gunners but they managed a slim victory over the foxes.

I wasnt quite sure about the game as I thought it will be a pretty tight game then ended up taking no both team to score there which got me pretty decent oddds including the boost.

Took it as soon it was put up a little while ago because with odds @4.30x this one is a no-brainer! Kane is their penalty scorer.

I missed this. Sportsbet should start giving out notifications in telegram if they havent whenever they launch new promotions or new specials like this. They had one on telegram already but its in portuguese I think for their brazilian userbase
Was thinking about this today actually.
Maybe if they instituted a method if you have something in your balance to put specifically aside for these offers and specials, then it will use this for a set amount of your choosing (have a slider scale to choose the bet amount per special) applying to those so you won't miss any of them.
If there is nothing in the balance then nothing lost. It is just up to the player to make sure the balance is topped up so it applies to the specials automatically.

Thought it was Mercedes that had the worst time with mechanical issues with gearbox failures and session-ending hydraulic along with car balancing.
That seems like a long list of problems they have to address with only a week left.
https://racingnews365.com/mercedes-facing-serious-problems-with-new-w14

One part needed to be shipped from their motor warehouse in the UK. So that right there is pretty severe.

Sweetness, another pool!

In regular news, for me as I just used up my 2 freechips from Southampton/Arsenal "Return of EPL" promos. Baccarat chip for Saints so I threw it all on double and lost, then went to Arsenal roulette and smacked my usual 4-way pick with 36 in it. 36 hits, $90 usdt balance magically appears.

I know it's not even that amazing but the way things are going these days... haha.

Went for both Saints/Gunners games with Asian totals Over 1 at HT today. Feel like we'll get quick goals, and then see both games settle for monotony later.

Will probably take a look at specials later if I can connect, not nice I missed the last ones when Arsenal pumped!
Maybe glad that you did! It was a BTTS special for Arsenal yesterday.

Today we have a juicer with Tottenham Hot Spurs to beat Chelsea and mister record breaker of the month Harry Kane to score:

Took it as soon it was put up a little while ago because with odds @4.30x this one is a no-brainer! Kane is their penalty scorer.

This was a strange fight night from the very start with several cancelled fights right before the event starting.
Was surprised when the main event was cancelled on such short notice. It was announced just when the main card was starting on air by Bisping.

Second time this year so far with the main attraction on the Vegas card getting pushed aside due to an illness.
First was Derrick Lewis and now Nikita Krylov falling not being able to fight. So the co main fight became the main event.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: February 25, 2023, 10:59:06 AM
^^
Good explanation on the main event inregards to Spann vs Krylov.
I do enjoy reading about well thought out rundowns of why people choose the fighters that they do during the main card.

The weigh-ins for this event had all fighter's weights passed for their matches except one fight did get cancelled for the fight night:
"Hailey Cowan vs. Ailin Perez was called off after Cowan fell ill prior to the weigh-ins."

Logan Paul has been caught to be prompting a definite scam of the failed Crypto Zoo project and those NFT eggs a little while ago.
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-64210289
But it never fell in any jurisdiction with the SEC for some reason.
Is it because it was too new for this law they have put in place trying to defend the public from being defrauded?
Or they didn't take enough money from their customers to make them take action? Only they would know.
I would guess that the law is not there yet in time for him to get any punishments, he probably got a slap on the wrist type of thing, a stern warning of "never do it again if you do not want to pay millions in fine" and you are not going to see him do it ever again, not without disclosing at least.

I believe that sponsorship and business partnerships are different. How? Well let me put it this way, if you go on twitter and write "this new NFT is awesome!" that's basically getting paid to promote, but if Logan has a fight, and he gets a sponsorship for the fight, lets say on his trunks, and he tweets "thank you to X nft project for sponsoring me in this fight" that would be fine. He could try to do that.
You mean what Khabib Nurmagomedov, a well known former fighter in the UFC, just did on his twitter promoting a cryptocurrency project?

"Do you want to enter a closed community and get the chance to meet with me? The new crypto product that I am creating in collaboration with the GMT project will be your pass. I'll tell you all the details soon"
https://twitter.com/TeamKhabib/status/1629067947376361472

Many are questioning if it was really him who put this tweet out or maybe his agent has control over what is published without his approval.
Who really knows with these celebrity types.

But from what I gathered by going to the site in question, here is what you see directly on the splash screen for their project. So you can decide if it sounds legitimate.
"Easy Way to Earn Bitcoin: Earn BTC via staking GMT Token, holding NFTs, and playing a game, all of which are backed by the real mining infrastructure of our data centers."

Great to hear LIMA major is amazing this year to watch. Heard about Tundra abit while was betting on CS:GO ESL yesterday.
But was concentrating on the matches at the time so didn't place anything on DOTA2 while they were currently live.

Huge upset with Cloud 9 beating G2 Esports in Pro League's final rounds of the season 17 competition.
Not just beating them but knocking them out 2-0. A flawless victory all thanks to sh1ro on the C9 squad.
This player was playing at a new level that certainly humbled m0NESY and Niko during the match.

I think all matches so far in this season's ESL Pro league have ended 2-0.

Glad to hear some news from CS:GO scene. Is a new major on the way ? I know Katowice was a while ago and next should be the Cathedral in Koln right ? that place is already iconic in CS:GO

Regarding dota , this major is crazy so far and we are just 3rd day in. We had crazy comebacks , new strategies , new heroes and Shopify Rebelions are still one of the best DOta 2 teams even if they have been dropped by EG after TI ended.

PSG - Tundra should be a great game that begins in 1 hour and I'm thinking to place a bet on PSG to take at least 1 map and if this hits , we will see where the rest of the day will lead.
This is the single elimination bracket stage for the ESL Pro league season 17 tournament running until March 26th.
https://www.hltv.org/events/6862/esl-pro-league-season-17

There are always different tournaments currently being played but just not shown on hltv's website. But they are the smaller ones usually run for the European teams.

Testing has commenced with 19 drivers taking the track and with the new structure this season they won't have as many days to complete whatever changes they need to make prior to the 2023 season beginning in the first week of March.
https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.whos-driving-on-day-1-of-pre-season-testing-in-bahrain.6zQnWtoXXf6UcoIaXPwWZO.html

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.live-coverage-formula-1-aramco-pre-season-testing-2023-day-1.4uTD5q366AeomtJtuSDBsh.html

Red Bull's car has appeared in testing and we can now see some possible improvement to the form of the sides with some aerodynamical adjustments.

"Though Red Bull held a launch event in New York in early February, it admitted that the car used to unveil its livery and announce its 2026 Ford partnership on that day wouldn’t bear much resemblance to the actual version that hit the track in testing.
The RB19 was finally brought into the Sakhir pitlane ahead of the test beginning on Thursday morning, revealing a dramatic undercut tunnel on its sidepods. The RB19 had the same suspension philosophy as 2022, a pullrod front with lots of stagger on the inboard pick-ups of the top wishbone, and a pushrod rear.”

San Antonio vs Dallas -13.5
I haven't seen Dallas win a game yet with Kyrie and Luka playing together, so I might as well still bet against them. I'm taking the other side and placing a bigger bet compared to my bet on the moneyline.
Irving's agent signed him up with Dallas just to get him out of all issues he had within the Brooklyn organization and among the fans.
Every sports show post trade, all broadcasters were questioning what if any reasonable explanation could be seen with this trade.
But to many including myself are interested in the betting opportunity this presents itself if this experiment fails.
I will be making a ML bet on the Spurs because I think the bookies expect way too much of a Kyrie and Luka cohesion so late into the season.
1699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: February 23, 2023, 03:13:09 AM
I agree that this is a good thing to do. This isn't some "be aware" story or scary thing, this isn't some witch hunt, these people promoted some shit stuff for money, making others lose, just so they could profit, and that is illegal.

You can't do that with gold, you can't do that with stocks, so you shouldn't be able to do it because it would cause others to lose so much money and not only unethical but it is against the law at the same time. On the other hand, if you come out and say "this project paid me to promote it" and then do it, that's fine, just like having an "advertisement" logo somewhere or something, allows people to see you got paid for it, otherwise what's the point.

I haven't been following any action taken by the SEC ever and I don't know whether they disclosed more cases than just the one about Kardashian because that puts them in a better light?

There are so many influencers or celebrities promoting scam tokens that the SEC could actually be posting several reports every day about that. I really think that this Kardashian thing was something they couldn't ignore because of the public awareness.

Yet everyday rappers or boxers or people like Logan Paul pull of their scams or promote scam stuff and we don't get to read anything about it. Any other cases where celebrities have been sued or got a penalty by the SEC?

Should be a good fight between these two contenders for this weekend.
I remember Spann's last fight and he was very dominate and fast with his punches. But I still think Krylov is the one to take him out with just pure size and power. If he can catch him and start wrestling then it is all over for Superman Spann.
We will have to see in a few more days before the main event happens.

In the meantime there are weigh-ins for this event starting Friday.
