Hi Jared...any chance you can share your command line for running ccminerAlexis78.exe for skein on zpool?
Code:
ccminerAlexis78.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP -p c=BTC,skein,stats

I dont change any card settings, I run them stock settings from the factory;  on machines that have cards close together, Ill manually ramp the fan curves up a little.... that's it.

Default intensity on this build is higher than the old builds, which is proper.  if it doesn't run well;  back it off and try again.  I think default is 26 right now in that build.
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help please? LKTEC usb miners on: April 29, 2017, 09:31:36 PM
Don't expect to earn much with them... they are .3 Mh....

If you look at zpool's rate:   0.00005264BTC/Mh X 0.3 = 0.000015792BTC/Day.... with the best of luck.

They released different apps with their miners....  and they aren't cross compatible.   I have a 32Mh miner that I can't get any miner to use but the one off it's original raspberry pi.... no way to build a new copy or anything.......  LKETC's company history was way less than stellar and easy to follow.

You must look at how their interface launches the miner app, and copy it.

The miner app is telling you that you are using invalid arguments when launching it.

The answers are on the USB flash drive that's built into the stickminer... everything should be in there.....
1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help please? LKTEC usb miners on: April 29, 2017, 09:01:32 AM
your pool url is wrong;  the miner is telling you that it could not connect...

I own a few of the mini dragon USB miners;  they have the horrible virtual com port that tends to change every time the pc boots up....  Requires an edit of the batch every time (when more than one device is in the same machine).

They don't earn really anything at all... take forever to earn 0.0001BTC honestly.... lol.  I  keep mine for nostalgia sake.

I dont use their app;  I just made a batch to launch the miner app with the same string they use;  just my pool addy username and pass.
1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: April 28, 2017, 10:44:15 PM
So I went and put it on a zip

and it  is not working.  I will play with it later on.

I will busy with a lot of real world stuff this weekend
I thought the original version of that reply was lacking... lol

I didn't find a precompiled version on github, so I just took the one from the nemosminer package myself...  Ill probably compile once I get my laptop running again (another SSD failed, and this time an Apacer.  I was surprised)

All I did was replace my executable and everything else stayed the same as far as config and all worked flawlessly to upgrade the miner app...  I think I am running default intensity presently, so if you have issues try to remove the -i  intensity flag and setting;  might clear it up.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: April 28, 2017, 09:26:43 PM
Phil;

Last night I just changed from ccminer 1.7 to the alexis78 version: Click here

Skein hashrate on one 1070 went from ~410Mh to 521Mh.... that's a HUGE jump.

If you can't build it yourself, you can get the nemosminer link from this site, and when you go to download it from mega, just download the ccmineralexis78.exe file by itself;  I didn't find any bugs or anything in it, and many on this site use it already.   The link above is for the source to compile in windows yourself;  there aren't any pre compiled ones available yet that I know of (on github).  THE MEGA LINK
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 altcoin mining on: April 28, 2017, 04:32:39 AM
no prob.   the only one that you really have to be concerned with right now (thats a good earner) to have high mem is eth...  Otherwise, don't worry about buying one with more ram unless you want the resale value to be a bit higher in the future.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NemosMiner-v1.7.1 multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner for MPH & ZPOOL on: April 27, 2017, 11:21:44 PM
edit: I just noticed equihash at the top of zpool's list so why don't you include EWBF in the zpool list?

How does it decide to "check" and change algorithms? Should I stop it every 8 hours and see or will it swap over automatically somehow?

i had equihash enabled in previous versions but as zpools equihash pool has very low hasrate it will never find a zcash block so i found it to be a waste of hash.. NemosMiner-ZPOOL makes more if equihash stays Disabled for the time being.. if you want zcash use MPH

it will automatic change you don't have to check anything or restart anything i have successfully been running NemosMiner-v1.7.1 on a windows 8.1 rig with 4x1070 and been stable for over a week now haven't had to touch it .

for zpool;  the pool choses your algo for you by disconnecting stratum: signalling to close miner and only let the algo it wants attain a stratum connection.

This does not cross-talk across pools.
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: April 27, 2017, 03:19:29 AM
Looks like your 1070 is hashing fine.

Your card isn't mostly in p2 state while mining, not p0.

There's ways to force it via the built in nvidia tools, or to use kboost in precision x 16.

Follow the batch link in my sig for info on forcing p0 state.  3 links deep.

I myself am perplexed;  I dont know why it didn't like that address.  I see you caught my page when my home internet went down during the night.   Damned bad node at the cell tower gets kinda haywire now and then.

I did notice you are using ccminer 1.7-dev;  I am using plain old 1.7 FWIW.  I am curious on how it only got 2 accepted shares... did the miner app just close out or something?

I have no idea why it did the two shares.

it showed that it was running and never indicated a problem on my end.

I knew that there was a weird  bug since it did two shares. and dropped on the pool end .

So i tried your address and it worked fine.

I then just used a third address and it is doing very well  4.7gh or so.  it looks like it may earn 10 or 15% more then zec I will spilt hash here and on zec with nice hash for a while.

Yeah, I thought you'd see better returns....

These 10 series cards are good earners on skein.... it's been a gem.

There are some slower days, but overall more good days than bad.
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 27, 2017, 12:53:23 AM
that backdoor only serves one purpose:

a 51% attack.... plain and simple.   introduce it on the fastest model;  wait till all the outdated stuff gets replaced, and you can control whatever you want.  Pretty sickening.  People need to stop spending on this company.    I have been very skeptical till now;  and rightfully so I guess.

Anyone know if the Mini 1060's are any good or should I stick with the full sized one?

For some reason I just have a problem thinking the mini cards will be as good as a full sized card?

Also... Should you stick to 3gb or 6gb for mining?

see my previous reply on the first page.

I just fired it back up

http://zpool.ca/?address=1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

looks to be working.

what should a 1080ti hash at for skein?

Glad to see you here =)   I was baffled at why it would not show the wallet page/earnings info....

Im not sure about the hashrate for the ti, but heres something to compare by:

GTX 960  ~160Mh
GTX 980  ~280Mh
GTX 1060 ~300Mh
GTX 1070 ~420Mh
GTX 1080 ~540Mh

http://cryptomining-blog.com/8526-mining-performance-of-gtx-1080-ti-with-ccminer-2-0-rc2/

doesn't matter skein or what, previously you set smth wrong,
it should be c=BTC in password no matter what you mine and how
I never trust the cryptominingblog hashrate figures as they are always posted early;  with initial un-streamlined miniers... and its always ending up quite a bit different....
but the ti is new enough, I guess, to take that number with a small grain of salt.

Phil;  he's right;  specifying payout coin is a big deal since the pool can try and autodetect the coin address type and pay out in its detected coin type if not specified;  which the pool detection could be wrong =/

Yes, a hacker exploited some admin features and walked away with 5.2 BTC. They've since been locked down but it happened just before the Sunday low payouts so there wasn't enough to pay, so this Sunday it'll get re-processed.

Damn;   That makes sense on why I got the second tx that day;  my one payout was split into two for some reason that day.

i think he was saying that if he dont have the admin rights from the get go maybe he dont own the pc .. maybe he was looking at advice to hack into it ..
Which is what i will not give.

It is a skill to be learned.  Not handed.
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 altcoin mining on: April 25, 2017, 11:29:59 PM
what gtx 1060 3gb cards and what 6gb do you suggest?

With 3GB it is real possible to get more then 300 sol/s?
for build quality and reliability, i only buy evga now.  Have never been disappointed.

They are all relatively the same; and you mainly want to pay more for the better cooler if anything(ACX 2.0/3.0, one or two fan, etc)... the rest will be fluff, or including things like a factory OC (superclocked, etc), or more power phases (FTW).  Rig card count density, room temp/airflow and model of card chosen will dictate if you need the better cooler or not.

I don't mine equihash, never saw as good profit than I see from other algos, so cant comment further.
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miner has to run idle! REWARD IS WAITING FOR YOU on: April 25, 2017, 09:14:53 AM
I already sent him a code in vbscript and he can't run it... access denied stuff.. Smiley
with proper user access on the system, shouldn't be an issue to make this work.

If you are trying to circumvent the basic system authentication and other safeguards for people not running apps that aren't supposed to;  well, that's getting into the behavior and actions of malware and viruses...  Modifying and starting background processes is a malware heuristic; 'tis why it will need administrator priv....

so if you wanna do a third party solution to circumvent the systems;  I won't do that part for you...  Tongue  If you know how to access the hidden C$, D$, etc shares;  you should already know how to accomplish it.
This link will explain it better than I did.
1698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 altcoin mining on: April 25, 2017, 01:12:54 AM
I'm currently testing a 1060 3GB rig (Samsung memory) and with a stable overclock (running over 24hours now without any crashes), pulling in 300-315sol/s per card on ZCash with EWBF's miner.  Less power, less heat, and considerably faster than an equally priced RX470 4GB.  Of course, ETH mining only gets around 24-25MH compared to 30MH on a 470, but if its all about the power consumption and keeping the heat down, then you can't go wrong with a 1060.  I'm actually going to purchase another couple rigs with these cards.  They are super easy to configure and just work.  No need for BIOS mods or anything tricky.

If you compare pricing between 1060/1070/1080, you will notice that you get the best $/hash with a 1060.  1070 is more than double the price of a 1060, yet the hash rate is only around 1.5x.

Meh, dont waste your time with eth honestly.

$ per hash... yeah;  but;  the time to ROI also goes further back as you are populating more systems.  For the frugal spender, you are absolutely correct, but when ROI is attained;   you can sell them for ANY price; and make a killing on profit.  This is also considering how easily you could sell a cut rate price on a 1080 or 1080ti, vs a lower model card...   just like comparing resale values of titan cards....   they arent cheap yet; and several models have superseded them.

I was amazed at how well a machine with 1080's earned.  That machine now pays off a video card each month.  Each one paid off, is another added... you can see where this goes quickly....   I recommended the 1070 to him, but hes a "balls out" kinda guy.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 altcoin mining on: April 25, 2017, 12:07:24 AM
That's really nice, maybe in a couple of months i'll add another GPU, I'm thinking the 1070 or the 1080.
Do you mind sharing more details about your rig ? i'm trying to learn as much as i can but nothing beat the hands-on experience you guys have already.

not much to describe;

one is a EVGA Classified board;  X58;  1st gen i7-920; 8G 1333 DDR3, 1x gtx980, 1x gtx 960

One other is almost identical but has the X58 classified SLI board instead; and has a 1070.  A friend runs his 1070 at home when hes not using his machine.

The hard part for most people are getting the drivers installed for multiple brands/makes of video cards and trying to overclocked mixed gpu systems.

Otherwise;  they basically just look like normal PC's or rack mount servers and are loaded with an os in the same manner.   Typically I have been using windows 10 on the miners I build;  I just modify the hosts file to block all tracking/update services via DWS10.

typo corrected.

Thanks =)   forgot to change it both places.

I tested it and it works fine as intended.  Using my manual control batch implementation, I had an instance of ccminer in the background that would automatically restart if you closed it.  Nothing on the UI past the task listed in the task manager as a background/windows process.
