What about the fact that they want me to pay .1 BTC to be able to "refresh" my transaction history in their system and then tell me that I should have sent more than .1 and that I have to send another .1?

that's a pretty vague....

need supporting info/screenshots...
1002  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: January 21, 2018, 01:55:01 AM
Of course when they pay you you will say all the positive things about this scam exchange. Why should one be surprised?

It's simple: tell your employer or "boss" to get their act together and resolve all these scam complaints! Stop scamming and stop extorting people into paying extra coins to unlock their balances!

If it's not a scam, your "boss" will do this and exactly this: lift his hand, put it on that keyboard and type away. Clear those stuck deposits and let people trade THEIR coins without issues! But no, the coins are stuck because I can reliably assume the coins are being used by this exchange for their personal enrichment!

Read the thread I linked.... you seem to not understand what you are forming an opinion about; especially when it comes to me.

I get paid for doing the same shit I did before I got paid by them.  It doesn't influence me in the slightest otherwise;  it's a perk.   In the past openly shunned them for their abusing of the high TX fees under a false pretense which the evidence was in their twitter.   Silently they retracted their fee BS and its no longer an issue.  Find it;  the rants are clearly on this site and in this very thread.  Read back on the previously mentioned thread, you'll see when I added myself, and exactly how much these sig campaign people are directly attached to yobit.....

I have no "boss" aside from myself.  I am self employed.  I have paid my own way and kept myself fed and housed since I was 16.  Only for the last 5 years have I worked solely for myself and not working for someone else's profit.

Don't be quick to blame; because the fact that you have NO idea what it takes to run an exchange and handle these very types of issues is blatantly apparent.   It's not solely their fault.  Forks aren't their fault, broken wallets aren't their fault [notice the work broken, not "offline/maintenance"], your lack of research and proper prep is not their fault.
Most of the time;  exchange issues are due to lack of knowledge of the party complaining, or caused by things beyond their control.   I see it here in this thread constantly.  There are plenty of warnings of these exact types of problems and people keep walking into them and screaming wolf.

Lets see some proof of dishonesty:  not these "could, would, should and may" type scenarios.   Lets see what is, and what isn't, and more importantly the heuristics leading up to said situation; and verify the validity and correctness of said heuristics.  Let's also see proof of this "making people to pay to unlock their balances" you speak of..... first I've heard of it in all pages of this thread...

But to be realistic; Ill expect none of it in return; instead i'll expect another blind heated rant attacking others such as myself in the same manner.
1003  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: January 21, 2018, 01:14:20 AM
If you know someone in YoBit, since you work for them and they pay you, can you please tell them to take a look at my case there? My nickname is ebycon there too. Please, I'm begging you with my heart in my hands...

Sadly, no...  It's a signature campaign, and its handled by a 3rd party.....  I know nobody from yobit.

Here's the thread so you understand how I get paid by them; and the final poster in the thread is the one whom is the 3rd party keeping the dig campaign in control:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914975

He wont be able to help you;  he's there solely to handle the sig campaign... I wouldn't suggest bugging him (look at the last 2 pages of that thread and you see why).

It gets deposited into my exchange account when I request a withdraw from my earnings....   From there I invest it in the market (usually), or withdraw from my account.
1004  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Inexpensive 1400W Power supply on: January 21, 2018, 12:43:11 AM
yep....   Glad to see others utilizing these PSU's.

I was able to get it to power up a few months later when I revisited.  I was trying to use a wire with an open to jumper the short pin. (the PS ON line)

You need a LOT.... and I can't stress it enough, you need a METRIC SHITTON of heat to solder those wires to the connector to be reliable.

I have a source for the card edge connectors in china through a buddy whom puts together PSU kits for miners and sells them on ebay/amazon.    I just need to finally have him pass it down the line to get me a sample of one the proper size for this PSU and I plan to make a breakout board for it.     Its an odd shaped PSU for sure, but you can fit it into a LOT more different open spaces in miners than regular brick psu's can fit.

The price of this little 1400w puppy can't be beat though.

I think he gave me two of them to test last year.   I may get off my ass and finally get that connector....
1005  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: January 21, 2018, 12:38:04 AM
@ theincrediblevictor

I responded to your pm's... im sure once it goes online, it will be available.   I will admit;  they do work on their time,  not yours.... which is quite annoying.

And I'm begging you too (and everyone else here) to please stop using this exchange. Stop sending coins to their hot wallets. Didn't you check for reviews? Didn't you search and find the countless scam complaints about them? If those were all your savings, you should have done extensive due diligence and withheld sending the ETH deposit until you checked, investigated and double-checked again.

This exchange is based in Russia. Resolving all these deposit issues will only happen if they lift a merciful hand and do something about it. You can't expect or get any help from Russian authorities. Current laws in Russia are unfavorable towards cryptocurrencies so it is unlikely they will make any effort or even prosecute.

Stop using this exchange.

I use it everyday.    Yes, I have a signature ad for them;  and frankly, that's because they pay me to do so.

I have invested in yobit before.  All of my deposits have never had a problem because I was keen on exchanging active coins that were verified to be online and a close matching blockheight number right before I send a TX.

Every time I have withdrawn, I have been paid.

You act as if the server/service is hosted in Russia.  Do your homework.   Your "assumption" is far from the case.

Now;  it's not the exchange's fault they they don't support the extra layers of BS/contract crap people cram onto everything 'ETH' nowadays....  This is one of the faults of ETH.  This subject is a rabbithole.  ETH is different in the way it works compared to all other cryptos.

I will say:  if you don't like what you read about yobit;  by all means;  don't use them.  Totally agree on that idea.  Nothing stopping you from doing this, and I encourage it to happen if necessary.

But from my past dealings:  When I do my homework; and deal in crypto I personally control the TX of;  I have yet to have any problems sending and receiving funds to them or any other exchange I trust.  Now I trust them, because they have never mismanaged my funds, they have always paid me what is owed... what more do I need at this point?

As far as the OP whom is sitting with their ETH in a smart contract limbo:  The most you can do as of this point:  is wait for a support ticket to be handled.  Imagine how many other people make simple or major mistakes and need help as well.... and how simple or complicated their resolutions may or may not be.... I see countless rants about how people deposited to an offline wallet, or this or that... and frankly;  the majority of the issues I see are caused by the people whom are complaining; typically because of lack of knowledge/research on what to do when and how to do it properly.  Simple things like not double checking TX/Rx address, wallet status, coin fork information, etc.  The list is extensive.    Your problem is not a normal one.  As it requires to change the way their system works to handle the Rx.
1006  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: January 21, 2018, 12:10:51 AM
Look at this motherfucking response from a moderator:

fucking scammers.

Dom is a chat/help moderator.... not a sysadmin.

He can not make them do things.  HE can only notify them;  the same as your support ticket has......
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I just found out my mining programs have been extoring me on: January 19, 2018, 03:20:11 AM
if you use someone else's software; you are stuck with the functions of that software.

One of the downsides to using a 3rd party app and not one you compile yourself.

You should look up the definition of "extortion".  you have an option;  of your own choice/doing....

There are many apps that don't have devfee's built in.

please add DIMEcoin (quark) to your currency list

12.01.2018 - new roadmap and some more important updates announced by the DIME dev team
the market became crazy about DIMEcoin just now, the price doubled last two hours, very profitable to mine. The people massively buying DIME at double price,
proofs: https://image.ibb.co/hi48Z6/dime.jpg
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/DIME/BTC
This is the first time dime has ever seen any movement...

it has a MASSIVE coin supply....

It's like mining PAC for profit;  not much there at all.   fractions upon fractions of a pence...

If dime makes it to 10 sat;  then we are talking something... but it seems... not worthwhile TBH.

FYI crackfoo its on yobit's exchange; and i think a few others you use.

been trying to get dimecoin working for weeks. Used to be on the pool but now the wallet just shits the bed and stops responding shortly after starting up.

and yobit dime deposits are disabled.

well that would shed light on why its offline for yobit;  makes perfect sense.  I never checked myself.

Well this is just unbelievable!

Almost 1000 blocks passes and still no funds on account. I sent ECASH, that is skyrocketing right now, to my account and is still not there.

My impression on my D8p is that is really well designed/made....   nice thick traces, good etching, layers, attention to detail, etc.   I think the D8P is a winner for 8+ slot large format cards.

I was impressed when I opened it up, I honestly was expecting cheap chinese quality.

What ram ya using Jared

none yet;  I was planning on ordering some low voltage ddr4... I have a buddy whom was in the memory business here locally once upon a time, and im just going to source a 16gb stick from him when I finally get my board powered up since I may use this machine for more than just a miner.....

A few very recent car projects have put speed bumps into getting this conversion done to the D8P.    I bought mine out of impulse;  out of all the photos, and different things I was seeing coming out;  it showed the most practical purpose in all aspects.   #1 being the card spacing.   You can stack large format cards and still get enough airflow between them to make cooling them much easier/quieter.

I also got my hands on a chiller: https://www.amazon.com/EcoPlus-Chiller-1-10-HP/dp/B000W4S45C/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1515569216&sr=8-20&keywords=tank+chiller
Primarily for my chemistry hobby, but i wonder how efficient it would be for cooling a gpu loop.....  Probably not practical though.

1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8-12% Stale Shares - Satellite Internet on: January 10, 2018, 03:12:37 AM
I am using LTE router for 6 mining rigs and i don't have any stale shares.. It's true, that the internet speed is 20Mb/s or higher..

If you don't mind me asking what router?

Im looking for hackable devices so I can step up from HSPA to LTE.  GSM of course.

For the IMEI on this non-LTE GOBI2000 device;  its unknown in their database so they treat it as an unknown clone phone.   This is how I get unlimited internet for $88/mo....  But the 3G band will only be around for so long with them... and they are one of the few that actually can get reception/bandwidth in my area.   Kinda rural surrtounded by hills/terrain.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8-12% Stale Shares - Satellite Internet on: January 09, 2018, 10:33:14 PM
Yeah;  That's the rub with talking to satellites;  the delay up and back, twice.

So;

Try lowering your difficulty manually.  Slowly.  You need to find the very edge of getting enough shares at a lower diff to compensate for the shares that come in stale....   You minimize your loss.

If at all possible switch to cellular.  It's about 1500-2000ms faster.

For instance, I use t-mobile here in the US with a prepaid unlimited data cellular plan.  The sim card is in a USB adaptor with a GOBI2000 installed.  That machine runs linux and wraps the internet connection in a VPN tunnel to hide the other devices behind the connection.  That machine is my main router at home, and my main VPN gateway is a raspberry Pi at the end of a very high speed cable internet link.

Hi guys,
I have ordered some ONDA B250 motherboards from Sidonia. Can you please tell me what's the distance between the PCIe slots? Will some AORUS 1080ti (5.5cm wide) fit well next to each other? Or do I have to use <=5 cm cards?

The B250 D8P V1.0 is ~6.5cm from center of 16x slot to center of 16x slot.  I don't imagine they changed this in 2.0.

Hi
tell me please
why I have a diagram of hashrate (lyra2v2) and the diagram of Balance with dips?
in case of what dips go in each 1 or 2 hours.
http://www.zpool.ca/?address=18fBVrWgXdj2wJDnsGUde6bd3SfzbBceDx
This problem appeared after technical operations on zpool on January 6

See his reply I cut out from above:

Yes all is back and running. Was only about 2-3h downtime.

One nagging bug stilll occurring but it’s just with the graphs on the wallet page.

It's just a problem with individual graphing.  All is working and accounting for funds fine.

And.. this other reply, made me chuckle a bit.... ok, a lot more than a bit....

This is probably asked everyday and I apologize, but does this pool take 20% of what you earn on top of the 2% fee? I can't find a solid answer anywhere.

I take 100%. Thats why there are 35k miners here. I run an awesome charity.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][FlexFee™][SegWit] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ on: January 09, 2018, 03:17:24 AM
I dont trust the EWBF executable anymore.

Different miner apps have different optimizations;  for a while the alexis version of ccminer was most efficient on skien, etc.

Feel free to re-add lyra2;  But before;  the pool wanted me mining lyra2; when I was making a killing off skien when I disabled it and just started mining single algos.  I didnt look at what was disabled;  but lyra2 could be enabled if you want.

The problem with profit switching is the delta factor.  ITs only efficient/profitable if you can get algos that swap in relative amounts of time close to one another.  being on one algo for a long time, then a short on another followed by a long on the first;  nets you less profit than 1/2 on one and 1/2 on the other.   So balancing the algos for profit switching is important... but it changes as the market/miners/hashrates change.  The key is maainting a delta share input on the port.

Chasing optimal profitability is a side goal of mine now;  no longer the primary.   The simplest and best overall results is what im focusing on.  Staying on one algo that remains profitable consistently.  Lyra2 is something I would mine by itself;  because of the seemingly long possible block times with mona and vert depending on hashrates.

Many thanks for clarification.

Tell me please, one more question.
I launched "JK's Automatic Miner Batch file V 1.08"
But for some reason I had the active two processes: :keccak and :qubit
:keccak works at full capacity, and :qubit defined video cards and tries to involve them but cannot involve them.
Tell me please, why process :qubit was not closed?
Thanks
I modified below to disable qubit and other algos....

Due to asics, I am sure its not profitable for GPU mining anyways.

re-input your miner app names if necessary, and account/miner details etc.

This is one problem that pops up from time to time;  it happens when more algos are used as well as when the password string gets long.
It could also be the miner app you are using having issues of different types.

If this isn't working for you, I suggest the manual or lite version of the batch.

JK's nVidia zPool Miner Batch V1.08.001
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: January 09, 2018, 12:41:09 AM
I cannot download any files
Windows Defender and Chrome browser stop to download and warning "virus found".
Pls help me to download!

This is something i noticed when windows defender suddenly flagged an older version of this miner app on one of my miners.

After this detection;  on every copy I have of it;  it doesn't even run anymore;  it crashes.

This behavior; made me not want to use this miner anymore.  I have yet to try it again since.   I'd rather be safe than sorry.
