Do you have any pics of this? I'm interested but would like to see the condition first.

Thanks

Sorry for the phone pics...  I handled a few group buys for these and took them immediately from the roll to the airtite.  The condition is perfect.

I regularly refer to this list when looking up info on physical crypto-coins.  Thought I'd give it a well deserved bump.
16823  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: June 29, 2014, 09:18:45 PM

It is strange how these types of problems flow through the net.  The site is up and working for most people.  I'm sure you'll be able to connect again soon.

http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/nastyfans.org

I tried that site this morning and it said it was working...but not for me.  So I tried logging on with 5 different computers at our home and none of them would load the page.

Try this if you're on windows.

1. Click the Microsoft Start logo in the bottom left corner of the screen
2. Search for and then open Command Prompt
3. In the command window type the following and then hit enter: ipconfig /flushdns

See if that does the trick.

Not the end of the world if your miner is offline for a day. Enjoy your Sunday and check it later.  Wink
Am I the only one having problems though? That'd be indicative that it's on my side... Anyway, thanks.  I'll leave it running and hopefully it works itself out.. And I'll check when I get home.

We are having the same problems since last night.

And we too are not at home much today.

No, people have been having issues around the globe. Typically it only lasts a couple hours as the DNS info updates (I believe).

Don't stress it. I'll contact our domain provider today and find out why this keeps happening. It should fix itself for you shortly.

I have one of these in circulated condition if anyone is interested.  I would part with it for less than 3 BTC...
16830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we (the investors, I mean) help incentivize p2pool? on: June 28, 2014, 07:46:56 PM
Just thought I'd mention that NastyFans is working on ways to improve p2pool live earnings statistics, improve the payout system, and implement additional incentives to make it not only a more responsible way to mine, but more profitable as well.

I don't think it needs to be easier to use.  P2Pool is already the easiest pool to use.  You don't even have to sign up.  All you have to do is point your miner to nastyfans.org:9332 and use your Bitcoin address for your username.  Pretty simple.

Confirmed.  I have received funds that I am currently holding in escrow for bitpop.
16832  Economy / Securities / Re: Why Do You Invest? on: June 28, 2014, 10:43:00 AM
jonsi, you are the one who doesn't understand. At least Lambchop is just trolling... You seem to think you somehow get a magical Bitcoin call option when you trade BTC for an investment. That isn't how spending BTC works anywhere but in your mind and trying to measure an investment over time in a currency as volatile as Bitcoin is just plain dumb.

Can you tell me what is Escrow?

Escrow works by placing money in the control of a trusted third party in order to protect both buyer and seller in a transaction. When both parties verify the transaction has been completed per terms set, the money is released.
16834  Economy / Securities / Re: Why Do You Invest? on: June 28, 2014, 09:39:39 AM
Sure, if apple price increases a hundredfold while your "investment" turns your 10 apples into one, you still profit...

Thank you for agreeing with me.  I'm not claiming any of these "investments" outperformed Bitcoin, only that their gain/loss can't be measured in the statistics you provided.  In other words, your statistics are worthless, as they can't measure the gains you describe above and are a lazy and pathetic attempt at furthering your agenda.  At least put in real effort to get actual accounting numbers if you are going to attempt to appear credible.

Yes, you still profit

I'm glad we've reached a consensus.  Smiley
16835  Economy / Securities / Re: Why Do You Invest? on: June 28, 2014, 05:58:41 AM
No entity in the world will accept accounting in Bitcoin.  That is just a fact.  Ignoring that makes you blind, or a troll.  I urge you to file tax losses for Bitcoin investments that have gone up in fiat value but down in BTC value and see what happens to you.
16836  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: June 28, 2014, 04:08:15 AM
Is there something going on with the DNS for Nastyfans.org?  I checked in on the single I'm running and noticed that it can't connect to the site.. Not sure if it's on my end or what..
Yay, I'm back.. Not sure what happened, sorry guys.. Don't think I was down for too long - 45 minutes maybe..

Something must have changed with the Domain provider.  I was warned about it yesterday by nonnakip, but the site was still working fine for me so I didn't think twice about it.  I assume any outages due to this will be short lived and won't require anything on our end.

EDIT:  Looks like you were down for about 3 hours.  Not the end of the world.  Smiley   Worth noting that NastyMining uses a local node and is not effected by this.
16837  Economy / Securities / Re: distribution 308154 + winner! on: June 27, 2014, 08:40:49 PM

16838  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: June 27, 2014, 08:32:53 PM
I got us set up on bitminter.com.  It seemed like they were the next best choice.  Automated payouts are set to 0.01 BTC & 0.1 NMC.  Hopefully this is somewhat temporary and we have hardware soon.  I don't think any integration with nastyfans.org is necessary or worth the effort.

EDIT:  As a side note, BFL's cloud mining is ridiculously responsive.  It took only a few seconds between clicking update and seeing submitted shares on Bitminter.
16839  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: June 27, 2014, 07:52:29 PM
There is only one in that list that has public stats and 0% fees. That is Eligius.

I'm leaning towards Eligius at the moment.  If there are no objections, I will make this change later tonight when I get a chance to set it up.

I didn't even know there was a Scottsdale Mint.  I might have to drive down and check it out.  Smiley
