16941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Xmas! Everyone.... on: December 26, 2015, 09:02:52 PM
A belated Merry Christmas to everyone here as well.  Nice t-shirt with the BTC symbol on it.  Santa put a bear market in our stocking.
16942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware: targeted phishing on: December 26, 2015, 08:50:05 PM
Thank you for the warning, sir.  Good looking out.  I haven't seen anything like this, but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled.
16943  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Attempted scam by coinmaster222 on: December 26, 2015, 08:19:52 PM
Here we go this asshole again trying to get his 15 mins of fame with his bought account. Now bugger off a leave this forum in peace
I'm not posting just to post here.  I've read this whole thread.  Who bought what account?  Is KWH's bought?  Coinmaster?  It's not clear to me what's going on and I'm genuinely curious.
16944  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why did Bitcoin drop in value over Christmas? on: December 26, 2015, 08:09:41 PM
Because people are selling. Just like when it goes up, it's because people are buying Grin
This is pretty much it I think.  I don't think Christmas necessarily has anything to do with the price fluctuations.  Unless some people are selling at the end of the year for tax purposes--that happens in the stock market.
16945  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise On the Highest Paying Faucet on The Internet on: December 26, 2015, 07:53:56 PM
Though I just tried the faucet again and it didn't pay, it did pay me 100 DOGE yesterday through Faucetbox.  Definitely is the highest paying I've seen if he can keep it up.
16946  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oops Price is 425$ Now... on: December 26, 2015, 07:49:36 PM
Yep, it's a big drop no matter how you slice it.  It's at $418 as I write this on preev, and it certainly could go lower.  But that's bitcoin.  I didn't go apeshit when it exploded up to $500 just a little while back, and I'm not too concerned with this drop either.  It's interesting, it's bitcoin.
16947  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: December 26, 2015, 07:01:06 PM
Eh, yeah.  Ever heard of "buy low, sell high"?  Well, if you believe in bitcoin then a lower price means it's on sale.  Sometimes it takes ball to actually buy low...
16948  Other / Meta / Re: Most annoying person on bitcointalk on: December 26, 2015, 07:40:00 AM
Definitely the guy "ManyProofs" or aka "Pro Lender". Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
OMG, I forgot about him!  What happened to that guy?  I couldn't figure out if he was doing some sort of a weird troll thing by offering those loans.
16949  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase closed my account after 1 week! on: December 25, 2015, 11:59:33 PM
Yah, I hear the folks who say Coinbase needs to be extra careful with people who gamble, etc., but I've heard so many stories about people getting their accounts closed (myself included) that it makes me wonder how in hell they're going to stay in business.  Even banks don't close accounts as readily as does Coinbase.  Oh well, there are tons of ways to buy btc, so just find another.
16950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Simple Poll - plus or minus $450 by mid-day GMT? on: December 25, 2015, 11:54:23 PM
Sideways it is xmas and people are mostly drunk and/or not home Smiley
Yah, and this is pretty much exactly what we got.  Not that I was expecting much movement on Christmas--who really does any trading on a big holiday?
16951  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will January 2016 bring? on: December 25, 2015, 11:52:00 PM
Ik expecting a small crash the upcoming days. After that a slow rise to 450-500 usd and mid januari a more serious crash to around 200 usd
Oh you're always predicting a crash.  You might be right, but lately the sentiment around btc has been bullish.  You ought to jump on board, my friend.  It's nice and warm in the herd.
16952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Highest Paying Doge Faucet Out There on: December 25, 2015, 11:45:08 PM
Holy crap, got the 100 DOGE, thank you!  You're going to run out quick however.  Nice faucet, very easy to use.
16953  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you like to be able to buy with BTC online? on: December 25, 2015, 11:08:36 PM
I'd love to be able to choose from a wide selection of fountain pens and pay with bitcoin.  High end ballpoints and rollerballs, too.  I don't think there's any pen boutique in existence that accepts btc.
16954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: December 25, 2015, 10:53:28 PM
Please!  Won't somebody think of the poor children Cryptsy is leaving to starve this Christmas?Huh  The inhumanity of it all!!

Lol, so do they actually still have any customers left?
16955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of the bitcoin will jump again? on: December 25, 2015, 10:47:45 PM
Gaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!  We're so close to your prediction, but I don't think $500 is going to happen this month.  2015 was a good year, so let's hope 2016 is an even better one.  A toast to bitcoin!
16956  Other / Meta / Re: About Negative Trust on: December 25, 2015, 10:33:30 PM
Ugh...I think that's a pretty harsh feedback MZ left you, considering it's a trust rating, and whether you bump old threads for pay or not doesn't reflect your trustworthiness.  Not a good practice, though.

And yeah, from what I've seen MZ just disappeared for whatever reason but I don't think he intentionally ran away with that money.  Something must have happened.
16957  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-12-23] Why bitcoins are big news for online gaming on: December 25, 2015, 10:23:15 PM
Yep, btc is huge for gambling and if all else fails with it, at least people are going to want to gamble semi-anonymously which means bitcoin won't die.  Hopefully.  I agree, it is kind of a match made in heaven...
16958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going to be the next big Bitcoin announcement? on: December 25, 2015, 10:09:59 PM
I won't happen next month, but I am definitely waiting for the moment Wall Street is making it possible to trade Bitcoin like you can do with stocks. That would be an insane announcement. It will most likely take some years before it's possible. I have patience. Smiley
You mean like buying and selling it on an exchange?  We already have that.  Buying bitcoin is better than buying something that represents bitcoin and I don't think Wall Street is going to think up something better.
16959  Economy / Goods / Re: Veterinary pharmacy AQUARIUM FISH ANTIBIOTIC on: December 25, 2015, 10:08:11 PM
Would like to know what exactly you're quoting, but OK I'll buy it.  Vet medicine never was my forte.

Still, your sales pitch is weak and how do we know you have what you say you have?
Which antibiotics from the list you are interested in?
Sorry the bolded part was meant figuratively.
16960  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do I find bitcoin accepted ebay sellers? on: December 25, 2015, 10:01:32 PM
I had a listing up a few months ago, and in the item description I mentioned that I take bitcoin in addition to PayPal.  The eventual buyer paid with PayPal, and I don't blame him--for the reason that others have said, which is the buyer protection.  Why pay with a method where there's no protection?
