1701  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Russia Becomes World’s Second-Largest Crypto Miner on: May 18, 2023, 07:49:24 PM
More than 60% of mining equipment entering Russia is imported using "gray" schemes, according to Intelion Data Systems. Because of this, according to various experts, the state receives less in the form of tax revenues from 5 to 10 billion rubles. in year.

This seems to be true, there may be problems with the guarantee in official services in Russia, and ASICs will have to be taken to China. But if the guarantee ends, then the services repair any asics for money.

1702  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How much do I need to start mining? on: May 18, 2023, 07:42:37 PM
For $300, you can only buy used old ASICs, which are profitable on condition of free electricity.
S9 Asic is very cheap, and you can buy it for 100-200 dollars, but this is for those regions and countries where the state pays citizens the cost of electric heating of a private house in winter in the form of subsidies.
1703  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Are you doing this as a Bitcoin miner also? on: May 18, 2023, 03:39:54 PM
If you are doing this, how is it favoring you?

Some hardcore crypto miners in my state are into BTC mining for the past years now and I noticed that they don't mine in a bear market, they always buy their asic miners after Bitcoin halving or a month to Bitcoin mining and ride the miners through the bull market, and once Bitcoin start making a turn back in value they start selling their asic miners.

My question. Is are people doing this? And at the same time favours them? Can you opt in and out of Bitcoin mining using bear market to get cheap asic and mine to make profits until the bulls are tired and it's bears turn to take over and you sell your miners..

They have been doing this for a long time but I am wondering how this is a smart idea because I always advice those that want to mine Bitcoin to never sell their miners in a bear market and that they should keep mining and store their Bitcoin.
It is difficult to sell ASICs on the market, and the price of ASICs depends on the price of bitcoin. I would then trade bitcoin because it is easier to buy and sell. Miners usually have electricity consumption contracts, and if they do not consume electricity, then their tariff increases.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 4090 and others on: May 18, 2023, 03:33:43 PM
Nvidia introduces $399 RTX 4060 Ti and $299 4060 without introducing a price hike.
8GB 4060 Ti launches May 24; $499 16GB version and 4060 follow in July.
Nvidia will fill out the 4060 lineup later in July; a $499 4060 Ti with 16GB of memory will sit in between the 8GB model and the $599 RTX 4070. A lower-end non-Ti RTX 4060 will also launch for $299, a small drop from the 3060's $329 introductory price for what Nvidia says should be 20 percent better performance; not a bad deal for the first generation-over-generation price drop we've seen from Nvidia in years. The 8GB 4060 Ti and 4060 are both pitched as 1080p cards, partly because 8GB of graphics memory is becoming a bottleneck in newer games at higher resolutions.

1706  Local / Майнеры / Re: Майнинг здох? on: May 18, 2023, 03:20:36 PM

Mining (Altcoins)
1708  Local / Майнеры / Re: Донеси на майнера в РФ on: May 18, 2023, 03:06:40 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5356902.msg62072467#msg62072467
Smiley

Thank you, @Z390, for this thread. It was just about creating a similar thread for clarification about the mining reward for the last Bitcoin halving and possibly all Bitcoin mined. I don't know how long they will be, but out of curiosity, I always wanted to ask about it.

I still have one of my curiosity questions unanswered. To some point, I always think that there might be a greater reward for miners since they will only be earning from transaction fees. Can't they be tempted to increase the amount they can charge per transaction? To earn high fees from those that want their transaction to be confirmed and don't run a node of their own.
That's not the miner's duty, they existed to only make transactions from one to another block successful, there is no way miners can give senders fee they should pay, this would have cause a disrupt in Bitcoin since the beginning.

Bitcoin miners will be fine with the fees only, the reward may be lower but I doubt, if Bitcoin survives to the very end it means there will be over 10 million users already using Bitcoin so the higher the number of Bitcoin users the more transactions will be needed to transact per day and that's more rewards for miners.

It's no doubt, Bitcoin miners will be in safe hands.
It depends on how bitcoin is used. Cryptocurrency trading does not require transaction confirmation. If custodial services become popular, then bitcoin may live for a long time. And a large number of users will make small payments unprofitable.
1710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: does it worth to start mining now ? on: May 17, 2023, 05:53:40 PM
what do you guys think does it worth to start mining now ?
If I were buying an ASIC, it would probably not be for bitcoin mining, because a few ASICs will give few coins.
If you have little power, but I would choose 1-2 asics for altcoins, and I liked the idea of Swogerino for home mining.
But the most important thing for a miner is inexpensive electricity, as philipma1957 told you
1711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The biggest No while trading on: May 17, 2023, 05:43:09 PM
Yeah, but i will priority my emotions when trading, it's the thing i can't remove when im trading, mostly when it comes to disappointments.

It takes an experienced trader to keep emotions in order while trading because chances are that the pump and volatility will affect your decision most times. This is especially when you don't trade with stop loss. Price drop and rise also plays a fast one on you and the adjustment starts to happen and then the pressure is the next thing. You can't really control pressure in trading when you are running out of funds.
If a trader only follows his strategy and does not change his mind as he trades, then he will only lose money if the strategy is wrong, or the wrong time is chosen for this strategy. But until you check this, it will not be clear that the strategy or the trader who constantly changes the strategy depending on the mood is to blame.

1713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The biggest No while trading on: May 17, 2023, 09:18:13 AM
1. Do not trade on borrowed funds.
2. Do not trade in a bad mood and well-being
3. Do not set specific goals in terms of money or % of profit for the day, month and year.
4. Do not leave all profits in the account.
5. Do not forget about the risks.
6. Do not forget to set a stop loss
7. Don't average out a losing position
8. Don't get upset over a bad deal.
9. Do not listen to other people's advice.
10. Do not sit for 12 hours at the charts.
11. Do not overtrade
12. Do not enter a trade if there is no signal.
13. Do not look at the variation while trading.
14. Do not constantly switch timeframes while trading.
15. Do not go full-time into trading (living off profits from trading alone) without a financial cushion or other stable income.
16. Do not have illusions about trading
17. Do not relax.
18. Not you are right, but the market is RIGHT!!!
19. Do not forget about loved ones Smiley
20. Do not live by trading alone.

20 NO in trading!!!

All these points are very important and even if all points are observed, you can lose money. But the wrong thing is not so fast when betting with those traders who do not follow these rules.
1714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: May 17, 2023, 09:05:33 AM
Do you think that a modern trader does not need spoploss? If you buy bitcoin at a high price, then you will not be able to trade it for many years and wait for a new growth above ATH. At least ask the miners for the cost of mining bitcoin and buy when its price approaches these costs. According to various calculations, this is from 14 to 22 thousand dollars now.
I've mentioned if Bitcoin price is keep declining, I will not sell my coins and will wait until the bull run happen, that's when the price will recover. Bitcoin don't have such fair value, solo miner and company miner are different, not to mention about the electricity cost, maintenance cost etc.

If you bought bitcoin for $48,000 in 2021, would you still be waiting?
A year and a half has passed, and you do not despair and continue to wait. It doesn't look like trading.
It is true that there is no single bitcoin mining cost for all miners, which is why I wrote a price range. Electricity prices also do not differ much, because no more than 10 countries in the world are leading in this industry.

Miners do not set transaction fees. In addition to large mining pools, small mining pools also work, which will confirm transactions. Mining pools do not own all the equipment, and any action by the pools that will mess up the network with the cost of transactions will result in an outflow of miners from such pools.
1716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 16, 2023, 05:49:39 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
I think that a beginner will lose his capital in a few months or less if he uses margin trading. How many years did you learn to trade and what are your successes now?
What exchanges do you use for trading and do you have enough income not to work offline?
1717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which wallet should a beginner choose? on: May 16, 2023, 05:30:05 PM
@OP I think you're meant an exchange, not a wallet isn't? as you said you want to make money on crypto and don't want to lose a lot money.

The most safest wallet is hardware wallet which cost minimum of $50. Hardware wallet is non custodial, you can't buy coins from there, you need an exchange to buy crypto.

I don't think P2P or DEX is convenient for trading, so I recommend to use CEX. When you have buy crypto in CEX, you need to pay trading fee and when you move your coins to your wallet, you need to spend more money for withdrawal fee. I heard Kraken seems offer a cheap trading and withdrawal fee, but I don't know now since the fee is quite higher than before.

1718  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Am I right about this or not on: May 16, 2023, 05:10:47 PM
I believe Bitcoin is here to stay, miners will always have something to make from transaction fee at least which is a very good thing. The only thing miners need to keep doing is upgrading their mining equipment, and the profit will be lower unless transaction fee increases, I hope this gets to new bitcoin miners that are worried about the uncertainty of mining in the future.
At the end of the day, those who find mining unprofitable will quit. I don't think things will change that much even after block rewards are gone. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a drop in hash rate or something similar though. You can't force people to mine just for the sake of keeping the network secure since most people are here for profit. Will this going to be a problem? I do see the possibility of some problems happening, but it is definitely not unsolvable. CMIIW.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to support the bitcoin network if you start mining on a computer. And ASICs in the apartment are also difficult to use. Therefore, I do not know now any owner of an asic who supports the bitcoin network for the sake of the idea. All my acquaintances miners consider only profit and want to recoup their ASICs as quickly as possible.
1719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: May 16, 2023, 11:31:46 AM
First of all I'm not a real trader, but I like to trade to earn small amount profit.

I only use BTC/USDT pair because USDT make me easier to determine how much my coins worth after trade and most liquid stable coin, the reason why I choose BTC is I don't need to worry about it when my trading goes wrong. So if I bought Bitcoin at the peak and the price keep decreasing, I will not sell it, but I will wait for the next super cycle where Bitcoin usually break new ATH.

Keep in mind I never learn about chart, candlestick, trend etc, all of my decision come from my mood and instinct. No stop limit, no follow any signal, no watching my PC for 24/7 etc, just directly buy and sell.

Is there anyone like me here? Cheesy

I decided to buy a wallet and try to make money on the crypt. Which one to choose, is there at a price of more than $ 200 is there less, what to pay attention to? It is for a beginner, I don't want to lose a lot of money if something doesn't work out.
Buy this wallet

I have about 14 applications and half of the wallet memory is occupied, and about 100 applications, which the wallet manufacturer says, this is a strong exaggeration. But you can trade on a computer and phone. I have not regretted buying this model after several years of use.
