1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Phone Mined Coins as the crypto infrastructure on: November 17, 2022, 04:29:00 PM
Mining coins on mobile phones never work, also this is not what adds value to a crypto project, the last good project I knew of that used mobile mining was Electronuem and the team confessed that the mining strategy is more like cloud mining, so there for it's not real mining.

Crypto mining on phones is never going to be something that brings hype in the future unless a cryptography algorithm is built specifically for phones, at this point this is still impossible.

Look into Metaverse and Play 2 earn projects, I believe these are the next crypto hype in a few years more.
1702  Other / Beginners & Help / Can I clean them up myself? on: November 17, 2022, 03:48:01 PM
I don't think this is the right place for this post? If Yes do tell me the best place for this and I will move it.

I wish users can delete their own posts themselves.

I got better at posting as time goes by and after going back to read how it all started I don't like some of the posts I made when I was still a newbie, how can I delete them and make my activity reduce?

Any repercussions doing this?

Or this are meant for moderators?

I believe this will lessen their stress and doing this themselves?

1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / I guess I will keep mining with my vega 56s on: November 16, 2022, 05:25:08 PM
Miners is there something gamers don't like about RX vega graphic units? I've sold 50% of all my graphic cards and I've never sell one of my vega 56, the moment I made mention of having Vega they will say no.

Is there any issue affecting Vega gpu when gaming on a PC? Why do gamers hate this graphic cards so much? If this go on I will have to keep mining with the cards until no coin supports the gpu anymore. Or you have another better idea?
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD I GO AHEAD TO BUY AND HOLD SOLANA? on: November 16, 2022, 04:12:43 PM
I feel like buying some Solana too but the FTC drama is not over yet.

If you are investing any dime on Solana make sure it's the amount you are ready to lose because if this drama continues the price can keep going down, I will wait for a better opportunity and if it never comes I'm good. .

If BTC fail to hold 15k+ we will likely see 10-12k and imagine what the price of Solana will be? I'd say hold your horses right now.
1705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope it's finally over for CEXs on: November 16, 2022, 09:56:21 AM
I hope it's finally over for centralised exchanges
It is not, the people who had their money in FTX before the collapse happened believed their money was safe there, FTX was one of the biggest crypto exchange, and they felt they had nothing to worry about, that is the same feeling people who currently have their money in Binance and other large crypto exchanges have right now, people are never going to leave centralized exchanges. Do not be too concerned about how other people want to keep their funds, just make sure yours isn't in any online account and leave people to make their own mind up on the warning going around, you can't force them into doing what's right.
Then they should enjoy getting rekt when they least expected.

With decentralised exchange you don't have to send your coins into a wallet that doesn't belong to you, nothing beats trading from your very own wallet.

If people are smart this FTX scam should be the last one EVER but I guess that's not going to happen, just like you said and there is no point feeling sorry for them if they lose their money.
1706  Other / Beginners & Help / I hope it's finally over for CEXs on: November 16, 2022, 08:23:58 AM
Few decentralised trading exchanges like Posi and Serum are surging in price, it seems people are now moving their funds to start using decentralised exchanges, what's your take on this?

Have centralised exchanges finally ruined their own reputation and people are tried of their games? I doubt this happened in the past when mt.gox faced the same fate, I really hope that's what happening presently.

I hope it's finally over for centralised exchanges
1707  Economy / Gambling / Any Casino Android software on: November 16, 2022, 06:54:13 AM
Is there any gambling/casino website that owns a android application? I noticed that all gambling websites are good for PC/Computers but not phones, I believe an android application will be flawless and way easier to access..
1708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never depend on cryptocurrency as your only source of income. on: November 15, 2022, 02:36:37 PM
It depends..

I am from a country where dollars is the best monthly payment you can ever pray for, ( exchanging dollars to my native currency makes lotta sense ) this is why I build my source of income around online jobs.

I am also a crypto miner, profits are way down now but I am still getting something through free energy. I also earn some passive income through crypto stacking.

In the near future, I will go fully into running Nodes.
1709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Bear take control long-term? on: November 15, 2022, 12:27:46 PM
Zero your mind for at least another 4 years.

People shows more interest in Bitcoin after every halving season so if you are building a crypto portfolio right now make sure your target is 2025-2026, it might even happen faster than we all expected but it's better to target a longer period of time .

With the things happening around centralised exchanges right now it will take longer for bulls to make a comeback.
1710  Other / Beginners & Help / Nothing matters more than transparency on: November 15, 2022, 09:51:25 AM
I wonder what would have happened if Ledger hardware wallet company belongs to someone like Sam, just imagine, this type of man could have leave a backdoor in the whole hardware system and catered away with users' funds.

This is just my imagination as I am stylishly challenging the security of wallets, hot wallet or hardware wallet that are not fully open source.

Another serious thing to take very seriously 😒, stay away from anything that's not open source and decentralised, this was why crypto is crypto in the first place, transparency must be 100%.
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is this online web wallet safe? on: November 15, 2022, 04:53:39 AM
Thanks for your feedback.

I have bookmarked the wallet link and I have also written down my recovery seed offline but the wallet also forced me to download a .json file, meaning it has a recovery seed and JSON file.

How can I keep JSON file safe? I don't always like .json file from wallets because you need to download them and store them in a more complicated ways.

I can only think of copying into a empty USB flash or do you have a better idea?
1712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Update on FTX exchange on: November 14, 2022, 08:39:55 AM
There are at least 20 threads on this topic all over the forum, and you opened another one in a board that should have nothing to do with the specific case - does that make sense to you?

It's not that no one warns that it's not smart to keep your coins on exchanges, or invest in worthless tokens - why should you or I feel bad that someone makes stupid decisions? Most of these people will repeat the same thing as soon as some new super crypto exchange opens and some new genius starts printing his miracle tokens out of nothing.
How do you expect me to know that others have created this type of topic already? After getting the information on Twitter I quickly rush on here to post this. Sigh!

I was only trying to warn those that still have FTX app on their phone, hoping and waiting that someone will come to FTX's rescue, this comment is mean.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: November 13, 2022, 02:07:02 PM
Here are my complains about online gambling websites and I am not happy about them.

1) There is no reimbursement when hacks takes place.
2) KYC is forced on users when they win big amount of money.
3) Try to add games that aren't all about getting lucky, add games that are about how skilful one is.

1714  Economy / Gambling / Re: Quit gambling to focus more on my work on: November 13, 2022, 09:14:39 AM
Do not belief a word from this guy.

Go and read all his past topics it's full of bragging about winnings, is this how easy gambling had gotten?

The last topic he created was about bc.game website and how he won after taking a girl along, he claimed the the girl is his lucky charm and he game her 160$ or so out of over 1000$+.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Advice on liquidity staking pls on: November 12, 2022, 12:59:53 PM
What are the risks involved in using your tokens to provide or add liquidity on a pool? Any risk at all apart from the tokens losing value before the APY runs out? I am a long term holder and I don't want to keep holding without earning some tokens more.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is this online web wallet safe? on: November 12, 2022, 12:19:17 PM
I want to buy some coins right now and I found out the project has no standalone wallet yet, you can only open a wallet through their online platform and they claimed its fully open source, the name of the project is PoKT Network.

I want to know if it's safe to use a web wallet that's open source for a while? I remember Elcetronuem using the same kinda wallet in 2018 and it works very well if you know how to keep private keys safe.

1717  Other / Beginners & Help / Update on FTX exchange on: November 12, 2022, 10:24:35 AM
A quick update about FTX exchange.

There is an hack going on with FTX apps right now, pls do not update.

Hackers are moving out funds using eth domain names.

People's fund are now showing zero.

What do you think is happening?

Here is my thought.

This looks like an inside job, Sam might be the culprit here, trying to take what he still can and run away. I already heard he is on the run with his private jet.

Centralised Finance have failed horribly, it's time to get used with DeFi, do danger 🚸 still lurks in DeFi world too, always DYOR.

I feel so sad for everyone that got caught in this mess, and we that never used FTX for trading shouldn't consider ourselves as smart ass, this can happen to anyone, stay strong and build, I mean it's crypto, you can still get your money back in other ways.
1718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should you know about P2P on: November 12, 2022, 10:11:25 AM
Do not get confused, there are two types of p2p: centralized and decentralized.
Technically speaking a peer to peer network is a network without a need for "central coordination by servers or stable hosts", in simple terms there is no server/website that peer to connect to. They directly connect to each other. So a centralized P2P can not even exist.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer-to-peer
So true

But centralised platform have a part to take in every P2P transactions as the middle man that fight for your money if any goes wrong.

On Binance p2p service someone I was paired with claimed they'd made the payment but I got nothing for 24hrs and I was forced to use the appeal button, later I got my money but that's because of the exchange intervention.
1719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Reminder: Treat Exchanges as Marketplaces on: November 12, 2022, 08:19:30 AM
It's over for CeFi.

I hope newbies and trader will start believing DeFi more after all the shady mismanagement of funds that FTX got itself into, this is never going to be erased from crypto history ever.

Now FTX scandal is going to join the likes of Bitconnect, Onecoin and Luna.
