1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still have thoughts of picking Gold over Bitcoin, read this. on: September 17, 2021, 03:05:36 PM
actually both have their own advantages, but personally I would choose to invest in bitcoin compared to gold. Although gold investment is profitable and stable, I think it will be much more profitable and have good prospects if you invest in bitcoin. if the bitcoin lovers like me knew that bitcoin could reach the current price, of course we would buy it because the prospects are very good. so I still can't turn away from the crypto world. but back again that the profit or loss of someone investing depends on how we manage and handle our own assets
if you are looking for profit then investing in bitcoin will be more profitable. Bitcoin trading on the crypto market is better than gold today.
because the world gold market is experiencing a weakening price. and surprisingly its adoption is also declining. In falling prices, adoption also declines. will be very different with bitcoin.

but I have both for investment. I can't judge which is better between the two. because I have my plans for the ownership of both assets.
Its good that you have them both so you can maximize your profits in the near future. But if i have to choose between the two, i would rather invest in this new innovation that has made a huge price increase in the previous years compared to gold that its value is almost not increasing. There might be a price change but definitely not that high with bitcoin. And with the faster adoption of bitcoin that will make its price more valuable, then there's no reason that we should pick gold over bitcoin.
1702  Economy / Economics / Re: vitalik's contribution is also great on: September 17, 2021, 02:21:07 PM
I feel that vitalik created blockchain 2.0, which should be regarded as a milestone in the currency circle. In the world of blockchain, his contribution is second  after Satoshi Nakamoto.
I don’t think anyone is discrediting Vitalik’s achievement in the crypto and blockchain industry. He has done a lot and we should applaud him for that. Before, we had Ethereum, there has been so many other cryptocurrencies that came before it, such as Litecoin, dogecoin, and the rest of them. But ethereum is the first smart contract we had in the crypto currency and blockchain industry.

Until now, it has remained as one of the top alternative coins in the market, and has steady maintained its number one position in altcoins market, and the 2nd biggest cryptocurrency in general. So, Vitalik did very well and no one is doubting that.
Vitalik has definitely contributed much in crypto because ethereum's smart network has been very useful and reliable to the different projects that have been rampant in the market. And yes, no one is doubting that. And because of the potentials of ethereum, aside from being a smart network, its also being used nowadays as a currency to those who accept ethereum payments.

Not just Satoshi Nakamoto but also Vitalik Buterin should be applauded because of their great contributions in crypto. Without bitcoin and ethereum, crypto space may not still be acknowledge this time.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 17, 2021, 11:59:23 AM
So next to Ben Simmons drama, now we have the Kryrie saga as well.
These two have different situations, Kyrie was disliked because of his attitude, but the way he played, he is really good. On the other hand, we have Simmons who is disliked by the management because he choked in the playoffs, Irving does not choke, Harden and Lebron even choke better.  Smiley
1704  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 17, 2021, 11:00:32 AM
^

It seems to me that many people just don't understand how deeply corruption is embedded in sports at all levels. It is so difficult to investigate and provide evidence of corruption in sports that I get the impression that corruption will never be eradicated from sports.

One of the main problems is that the same people who are engaged in it are fighting corruption  Grin The result is clearly visible in our country, which was caught on the state doping system and now the entire national sport bears heavy consequences in the form of discrimination even against those athletes who were completely clean (at least they were not caught on anything).
That's what it is, you are in the same sport, and one person found guilty of rigging games, the whole reputation of the sports will be ruined. That's why it's very serious that the government has to impose a serious punishment on people who are caught rigging games, especially if it's the organization itself as it's a coordinated action and massive cheating is happening inside.
1705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 16, 2021, 11:56:50 PM
I don't think a person needs to trade full time to be a successful trader. If you have a good idea about trading, it is enough to do one or two trades throughout your day. So I think for a person to learn trading successfully, he has to do market analysis. And only by doing market analysis can he get a good idea and he can be considered as a successful trader.
Well, i don't consider being a part time trader may not be profitable and that only full time traders are. Full timer traders have all their chances to learn more in the market so they can acquire more profits.  But its never on the time actually because its more on the trading skills that a trader is able to develop. So even if you trade for a short time, you will still be able to succeed and make a decent income because you have your own special strategies in trading.

And being a full time trader without any other source of income is very risky. But if given a chance, of course i will choose to be a full time trader because the profits are definitely huge that can create a big change in our lives once the funds is well managed. Losses are always inevitable but if you are a good trader, then you will be able to overcome losses most of the time.
1706  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador Bitcoin payment option on: September 16, 2021, 04:16:29 PM
Today in El Salvador protester against bitcoin destroyed a point of ATM Chivo.
If opposition party opposed such a move, they will try means citizens will not like the present party in power, we can not say if the crypto ATM destruction is political or not, but this may also be an indication that those that against the El Salvadorian bitcoin law do not know exactly all about it. El Salvador makes bitcoin mandatory in the country but bitcoin use is not mandatory while people can decide to choose to accept bitcoin for payment or it to be processed into dollar immediately without no extra cost. I think this should not result into what is currently happening as dollars can be accepted and be used without even making use of bitcoin at all, but some people may just be ignorant.
This is the latest update of El Salvador wherein someone protests and end up burning an atm bitcoin machine. I wonder why someone had to do this when in fact USD dollar is not even eliminated as a payment method. Yes, bitcoin is mandatory but once the transaction is made, the receiver is till free to accept payment in dollar.

If only the adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender did not happen in a rush making the preparation too short, then maybe all the citizens might have been fully educated about bitcoin. I guess all these negative things that happen are just a manifestation of lack of education on bitcoin.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Guys Think About So-Called "Shit-coin" ? on: September 16, 2021, 03:35:21 PM
This days there are so many tokens appearing with a very large total supply, tokens like this are often called "Shit-coin/shit-token".
Many people say that this benefits the crypto world, but there are also those who say that it actually make the crypto world looks bad.
I’ve been in a situation like that where I was investing in a project and I knew very well that it wasn’t legit or should I say it wasn’t going to work, But I still went ahead to invest in this project and at the end it didn’t workout.

The reason why I invested in this project is because of the same thing you have said here, I saw an early opportunity to make something from it before it’s too late. Things like this are usually a huge risk, it can work or it will not work. Luckily for me I didn’t invest much in it, I just invested a little money which I hoped I would have gained something from it.
Well if you happened to invest in shitcoins, it does not literally mean that its not profitable. Some are really making profits on it but only in the beginning. Eventually their value drops down easily and does not recover after a big dump. That is the reason why most of the investors stay away from it because it will only be worthless in the end.

I personally make an investment with shitcoins before because i wasn't aware at first. Good thing i have only invested a minimal amount so i did not make any regrets when it turned out that their value have gone. Well some have still good value but not listed in the exchange so still worthless in the end.
1708  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: September 16, 2021, 07:37:14 AM
I guess this is too risky on the part of the buyer especially if you don't know each other.

Some gambling sites IMO require users to verify their account, so KYC is very important and if you fail, your account might be blocked.
I don't know exactly what are the rules of the mentioned gambling site, but that's the risk I saw.

Hopefully, the buyer will be careful enough to check on the gambling site's TOS so he will be aware of the possible risk considering the account is already a VIP account.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Arizona has legalized fantasy sports betting! on: September 16, 2021, 07:05:46 AM
Hi OgNasty, can you give an example of popular fantasy sports betting? I gotta be honest, I heard of this but I have not played this type of game and I don't know what kind of betting sites in the crypto space that are offering this kind of game.

Also, can I request the link to the full story or news, I'd love to read the full details regarding this.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does the scammer companies earn through bitcoin ? on: September 15, 2021, 09:28:36 PM
I am new to bitcoin and come from a third world country. One of my friend told me a company came telling all to invest 150 USD in an scheme and then they can earn daily about 6-7 USD regularly by watching ads for the rest of their life. My friend earned 6-7 USD everyday by watching an ad of 8 minutes. He got paid instantly and also told me about the Binance mobile app. This worked for almost 1.5 months. Then the company disappeared. Those who invested lately couldnt get their money. I want to know how this process works. How is this related to bitcoin and how can one earn just by watching ads ?
Scammers earn money from their victims, those victim's money are the earnings of the scammers that is a simple logic for your title. Just always remember that there is no easy money in this crypto world. I am also got scammed by a scam investment website before because of believing that my money will get double in only 1 day and most of the beginners can easily be hooked up when they hear to double their money and I am one of them. Just make sure that you have learned something and not try that thing anymore.
There are vast opportunities to earn in crypto but everything should be worked hard before making profits. And definitely investing is a good opportunity to earn profits. But not to double your profits in an instant without nothing much to do. If there is any, its probably a scam already.

Scammers make profits after stealing the money of the investors particularly with those who are still new in the market. But not all newbies are prone to scam because some are absolutely smart when it comes to money matters so they don't easily trust anyone. Its just that they are still new to the market but have made much preparations already.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 15, 2021, 08:56:00 PM
And they say that people have freedom and there is democracy in this world, what a hilarious joke. Don't get wrong with me, I amn't anti-vaxxer, no, I prefer vaccination but I think Covid and Flu vaccines mustn't be compulsory. I am a healthy person, always eat with healthy food and always protect the balanced diet, do cardio exercises, run every morning, do workout, cut/minimize sugar, trans fats, etc. So, I have great immune system, I almost never get cold/flu and have never visited to the doctor for health issue cause I don't have. So, why do I have to get vaccinated? Especially when it's flu like virus and I have great immune system. I have had a contact with so many people, I probably would get Covid but have never ever been felt and even if something happens, I hugely believe it will go easy on me.

Covid vaccine mustn't be compulsory because it hasn't been tested. FDA approval means nothing, FDA has approved a lot of drugs and also has withdrew a lot of them too. At the same time, it's very clear that Pharma is a huge business. There was one documentary about the approval of Xanax, how bad side effects it had but still was FDA approved because it was very addictive and good money making medicine. No one tries to create anti anxiety drugs that wouldn't cause addiction while it's possible, why? Because that won't be profitable. See this article - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5973310/
I hate to say it but these covid vaccination and all these stuffs are purely business and is generating huge profits that is why everyone should have to take vaccine not just for your health safety alone but also for the government to generate an income. Yes, we are living in democracy but after this covid 19 vaccines have been implemented, then all of a sudden we lost our own freedom.

I am not anti vaccine because i have been vaccinated already but i understand the sentiments of those people who refuse to get vaccinated.  Although everyone is encouraged to take the vaccine to stop the virus but somehow, our rights should never be deprived also in this time of pandemic.
1712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin trading? can Bitcoin trading profitable without having lost? on: September 15, 2021, 07:24:47 AM
Basically Bitcoin trading, not much different from what you do/trade outside/real world, apart from analysis, charts, predictions etc, you buy and sell.

Some people who trade daily/hourly/weekly and monthly, generally a lot are done long term, but if you are expert and have knowledge about online crypto trading, it can be done based on hourly and daily crypto market developments.

Loss or profit it's all you control, can't guarantee someone involved in crypto trading loses and gains, it's all based on the trading skills you have, you're smart you win, you don't know you lose, that's a trading method, important knowledge.

Quote
Experience is the best teacher. Whether you want to study business abroad or memorize hundreds of theories, it's meaningless if you've never tried.
Trading can be learned and anytime you can google it and a lot of resources will come out. But trading with losses is inevitable. Even if you got a lot of experiences, either you're a hero or a legend in it, losing your money will never be impossible.

That is why traders are advise to trade only an amount they can afford to lose. Because if you trade with higher amount, the risk becomes higher too, and so you will also lose a huge amount. But if you trade with a minimal amount, your profits might be smaller, but in times you lose it will not be that huge too.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Not all altcoins will recover on: September 14, 2021, 11:48:55 PM
Ethereum, Binance, Solana could all be included in the statement (buy low sell high). But even that Altcoin can not necessarily be right on target because anything can happen in crypto. Loss and profits can be very fast and can take a long time.
Simple...
What's so simple about the market where volatility is uncertain and unexpected? You might have the courage to say that now since the market is a bit bullish but once you see and experience the bear market I have my doubt. Yeah, not every altcoins will recover since most of them are dead already but for those market who's still have a market movement every now and then will be the one to last long.

Most of these altcoins will recover especially those coins that was pumped by Elon Musk. A type of altcoins that was manipulated by them is kind of dangerous to invest once they suddenly left the market.
Meme coins are very dangerous to invest but they can be profitable too only in a short period of time and after that when the dump season starts to occur, most of them will eventually end up as shit or dead coins. Same with those altcoins that are only good and profitable in the beginning but in the later part, they will lose their value and won't recover again.

Altcoins are highly volatile and they are more risky to invest compared to bitcoin. This is the reason that if you want to invest in altcoins, DYOR first so you won't end up losing your investments just because you have high hopes that altcoins will always be profitable and won't dump easily.
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Investor call for crypto regulation on: September 14, 2021, 12:48:46 PM
They just like to protect their investment, regulation is very important as it's the only way that the crypto ecosystem will achieve a massive adoption.

Mark Cuban will not become a billionaire if he is not smart, so this action only tells that he wants to minimize the risk as this market cannot be manipulated all the time, and watching it remains highly volatile for a long time is not good for the confidence of the people who are here to adopt by enjoying the usage.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 14, 2021, 12:02:32 PM
Inoue will not be concerned about Donaire so he will give him a rematch, he beat him once, and now that he has a belt, maybe they could unify that belt and Inoue will be the undisputed champion. The good thing here is Inoue and Casimero are willing to fight Inoue, this is easy for Inoue to prove that he is the best, but of course, right after the Casimero fight.

The scenario after Casimero vs Inoue will be:

If Inoue wins, Casimero will ask for a rematch.
If Casimero wins, Inoue will ask for a rematch.

Then regardless of the result:

Donaire will challenge Casimero and Inoue.

In the end, if Naoya finished the 2 PH boxers successfully without losing, he will now climb up the ladder and the belt will be left to top contenders at that division.

If Inoue wins, I doubt he will give a rematch to Casimero. His next fight will be against Donaire, and if he again wins the 2nd time around, I guess he would just move to a new division so he can continue his journey in chasing the pound for found king.

Inoue is currently rank at the number 2, https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/

Canelo is sitting at the number 1, well deserved for him but Inoue could go up in weight and hopefully he would be able to bring the speed and power.

Let's not get ahead of our selves and talk about rematches, we have to see how the fight goes, it might be one lopsided for Casimero or Inoue, or it could be close that the decision can go either way. Donaire here has taken the back seat, he doesn't want to give Casimero a fight, and then Casimero steal the rug from under him and get to Inoue first before him.

If Casimero wins, Donaire has no choice but to fight him like no other champion in the division where he could unify. Not good for Donaire because he once cancelled a fight, they were supposed to meet Casimero this year but it did not happen because Donaire was soft, trash talk made him cancel the fight, that's hilarious.
1716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: September 13, 2021, 09:46:30 PM
I will not quit trading, because bitcoin has a very huge potential influence in the entire world. I take trading as source of income and I learn more on trading every day. People with different ideas and knowledge about trading gives us more insight in this forum and they help us in moving some steps forward as we really believe in bitcoin.
Your courage won't save you from losing and even you think Bitcoin has a huge potential market gain, you can never rely on it as a source of income. People who had come into trading must know about the risk, sometimes must have also to think if trading is for us or not.
I'm not saying you should step out from trading because it seems you love it and are comfortable of doing it. But for those who are not good at this job, quitting is the best option to take.
Traders who have more courage to trade but still finds trading not profitable for them so maybe quitting might be their last option. But as an advice, its better not to quit and lose everything you have started. Trading can be learned with your different experiences so its more likely the more experiences you will gain, the higher the chances you will be good in trading.

We know trading has definitely its high risk that is why we should always be prepared before engaging into real trading activity. So if you don't still get it, and trading is really hard for you, I suggest maybe you can take a break and come back to trading once your motivated to do trading again.
1717  Economy / Economics / Re: Ways to avoid being scammed!!! on: September 12, 2021, 11:38:03 PM

snip...

Anything that is too good to be true will always come out as a scam. So let's focus more on the reality of businesses rather than believing on projects wherein developers will suddenly abandon the project once they have taken away the profits. Better to be cautious and smart rather than end up leaving in a huge loss.

As scamming becomes rampant not just in the crypto market but also in all kinds of businesses, then we should be more careful and vigilant to see the real intention of such projects rather than giving out all our trust and money as a capital.
Before you get involved with anything that appears to be too good to be true, make sure you've done a lot of research. Scammers use promises of numerous benefits to entice people, so don't believe anything that isn't happening in a normal situation because it could be a scam. Being cautious is free; however, you should always keep in mind that poor decisions can ruin your life, and being scammed is the worst-case scenario that should be avoided.
That's is how they treated those people who wanted to get rich instantly. But for us who suspiciously thinking that was a scam will literally be doubtful about that promising and colorful words of scammers. They never win us but somehow they could still found a victim like newbies.
So no matter how hard we tried to warn newcomers about this thing but too unfortunate that there are still a lot of them who got scammed and lose their money with them.
Newbies are always the target of the scammers as they are less knowledgeable and has few experiences on the reality in crypto market. But there are no exemptions when it comes to gaining knowledge. Even if you are still a newbie, you are expected to do more researches often so you will be more equipped on how to trap scammers with their latest tricks and strategies.

My advice is to be aware all the time. Have the full responsibility of managing your account to keep it safe and secured from all kinds of scamming. There will never be scammers if we won't let it happen. So always keep an eye to your own actions and never show any motive so you will be scam.
1718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wrong to be a long term holder on: September 11, 2021, 11:52:43 PM
Why do people refuse to take profits when their coins and tokens are surging so high? Should this be called greed or they simply have strong believe that the coins and tokens will worth more in future? Is it wrong to keep holding coins even when they bring 1000x profits cos everyone seem to be talking about 'greed' here and there
Sometimes greed will lead us into a losing position and I think, we should have our aim targeted profit in trading.
Long-time trading is a safe method in all trading methods, all you have to do is wait for it and set the desired amount of profit when there is a bull run come. Bull run was always expected right after 4 years when the next halving will successfully come, so in the long term, potentially it will create another ATH in the future right after 4 years or 5 years of waiting.
Too much greed will lead you in the wrong direction, that is certainly a thing it will happen. I can remember how I lost my chance to sell my coins during the last Bullrun as I was thinking for more. This could never change if we never change our attitude.
Not all holders had to get rewarded but if we hold Bitcoin, ETH, and BNB, I've become certain that we gain profit from them.

Only the solid alts will be worth holding long term. But most, like about 90% of alts are not worth holding long term. When you see the chance to sell and you are already in profit, better discard it and not wait for it to miraculously go high without reason. But there's nothing wrong being a long time holder because it is your funds, but it is better to be smart on things rather than lose your investments.
Its never a bad idea to be a long term holder as long as you are holding those coins with great potentials. For sure they will be more worthy in the years to come.

However, holding them for the rest of your life might sound stupid already. How can you enjoy the profits if you are already weak and dying? So always think of the usefulness of the coins while they are profitable. In that case, you are not being greedy already as you have your concrete plan how to make use of your profits and be more productive.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will its price start being stabilized? on: September 11, 2021, 10:25:27 PM
Because Bitcoin will never be stable.
There will be a cycle where Bitcoin will experience a dump and pump period of the prices.
However, for as long as time, we have already known that Bitcoin price will be always increasing, multiple times, after 5 years.
When the bullish era comes, the new ATH will be always created. It happens so far. And how is Bitcoin being stable? I think it may not be as interesting as now. Moreover, holder will have expectation that Bitcoin will be always worthier and worthier the future
Predicting the price of bitcoin is never easy because of its high volatility so some days will be bullish while some are bearish. But never to the point of making its price stabilized and stop at its maximum price. Holders will always believe that its price will keep surging and even if price corrections hit it, it will always recover and rise up again. This is what the holders keep them from holding their bitcoin.

And even predicting how far bitcoin price will be remains to be uncertain. No one knows actually. The only thing that is certain is it will still live a couple of decades before it will lost its value and slowly deteriorating.
1720  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 10, 2021, 09:22:52 PM
Corruption is a kind of a hard control mechanism of subordinate people as at any moment an unfit person who has stopped following unspoken instructions can be sentenced to several years in prison and in some countries more severe punishments can be imposed. That is why corruption exists in all countries and absolutely in all spheres of our life. It is just that some countries are more thorough in hiding corruption cases.

We are talking about corruption in sports, and normally our understanding is that what is happening is "sports fixing", some people may not be too concern about it, but for gamblers or sports bettors, this is a big thing as they can use this as their basis on making a decision, and I believe that some sports bettors believe that no sports are clean or safe from sports fixing.

I understand this better than you think) Corruption in sports is not much different from any other. If a sports team, coach or boxer agreed to a fake match for the sake of money, then after that he can be managed as he will do anything not to spoil his reputation. If an athlete is caught in this vicious circle, it is not easy to leave him, because he becomes a puppet. Corruption in sports is punished no less severely than in any other sphere.

I'm just looking at the gambler's point of view as that's the main reason why there's corruption in sports. That's why it's illegal for a player to bet on his game because it could affect his performance and he could intentionally make things that aren't supposed to happen, but since we have a lot of sports bettors who cater bets, even millions of bets, the greediness of the people will always show as that's easy money for them achieved in an illegal way.

This kind of sports rigging is really hard to determine, lots of conspiracy theories that are out, even the most popular leagues but if we look at the numbers of people who got convicted and punished, there are only few.
