1701  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy of Bitcoin on: September 09, 2021, 02:34:04 AM
There are just two reasons I can think of. El Salvador or its the norm of Bitcoin which happens a lot.
$52k three days ago then dumped to $48k for profit. It's normal.
But panic came and small investors tried to sell so it drops again to where we at now.
Or, is it like someone or a group is trying to prevent the adoption of El Salvador using the volatility to create panic and make them lose confidence to it's technology.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto dip today on: September 08, 2021, 04:26:38 PM
You don't need to be surprised with XRP. It will happen sooner or later.
Be surprised when it's Bitcoin going down because there's always a chance every altcoin will be dragged by it.
I was just a little bit shocked and perhaps some whale just played with the market using the recent news about El Salvador.
Although it should not be an exaggerated reaction because Bitcoin still fell at its bottom price 2 weeks ago. It's still okay.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 08, 2021, 02:13:29 PM
And now there are rumours that the Cavs are interested of him. Ben Simmons trade rumors: Cavaliers still trying to acquire 76ers' All-Star, per report.
I'd sign this if I am in the position of Ben Simmons.
The clock's ticking and this could avoid him from paying the fine of not attending the training camp of the 76ers.
It's a win-win situation but the only problem I can see is him.
He may be the picky type and he doesn't like the Cavs environment or he could be aiming at a higher standard team name like Clippers, GSW, or the Lakers.
Considering the rosters of those teams that are packed with stars, he may not be able to even gain minutes per game.
1704  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to leave KYC for good on: September 07, 2021, 04:42:55 PM
But why would the authorities ban Bitcoin and then try to confiscate Bitcoins from the people?
Authority. That's the whole definition of it.
This doesn't make any sense to me.This is basically stealing financial assets from the population.
Not declaring your assets (Bitcoin is considered as an asset, as of now) is also a form of stealing from the population. It should be taxed and that money will be used for the improvement of the country or other necessities.
OP,the whole topic seems a little bit paranoiac.Trying to be anonymous and to use mixer means that you want to hide something-your income and your wealth, which looks always suspicious in the eyes of the authorities.
They might assume that you are conducting tax evasion or other financial crimes
IMO, it's not a paranoid act. It's protecting the asset that you bought at an expensive price. If you have a gold bar from a shipwreck that doubles or maybe even quadruple its value, you won't like everyone having the knowledge about it. Secure it and zip your mouth. Same thing as what he is trying to do with his Bitcoin.

OP, sorry I don't have much knowledge to share about the meticulous part of sending back and forth or buy, mix, and sell.
1705  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador has just bought it’s first 200 coins on: September 07, 2021, 11:46:15 AM
That's good news.
Buy to let people use it. Try it. Use it as a legal tender then maybe they could find ease with that option rather than other types of transactions.
There will always be someone who will be against it like traditional people, there's no such thing as a perfect country but it's a good start in my opinion.
Adoption is the first key to make it successful. Let the mass tell it to her/his neighbor and be the judge about it.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 07, 2021, 03:35:12 AM
Then you just conclude that Green is a useless player hehe. It's not about the productivity but the overall performance. It's common to lose that everybody in Warriors is struggling. If he is nothing without Steph and Klay, then no team will have interest on signing him in the future and worst, the Warriors might consider trading him despite he is a part of their championship run. I didn't even hearing his name in some rumors that a team shows interest to him.
It's true. Overall performance can keep you in one team even if you are not a shooter.
Then, there is impact, being a team player and so much more to offer than just being an offensive player.
Look at KD, he had been jumping in different teams and so does Kyrie and Kawhi. They are not the type to be a team player but mostly isolations.

Playmakers such as Draymond Green and Marcus Smart are different. They may not be ball handlers or with high dribbling skills but they can manage the plays and can lead using high IQ. Lebron is doing the same thing when he got older.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of tokens you are holding in your wallet ? on: September 07, 2021, 12:57:27 AM
USDT is the commonly used stable coin but it's not for keeping. Remember that.
Use it only for trading then exchange it back to your preferred coin or cash it out as fast as you could.
As long as you are doing that, you can feel safe because there is still a higher chance those stable coins will just vanish and you can't do anything about it.
That is also one of the stable coins that's paired with different types of cryptocurrencies so it's widely used.
I am not their supporter, just stating facts.
1708  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest my 10,000 USD on: September 06, 2021, 10:21:45 AM
If that is my case and I can use my own view of the crypto market then.
Bitcoin - 60 percent
Ethereum 20 percent
Altcoin and NFT's - 20 percent.
Why NFT's? Well, they are in the spotlight now and I think taking advantage of that should be done quickly while they are still hyped.
Choose a project with fast ROI and a little bit of profit in the short run. Take the ROI back and invest with Bitcoin while it's still at a calm stage.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 06, 2021, 06:24:29 AM
Udonis Haslem
Nah, he isn't just a supporting player. He's way more than that.
He is one of the definitions of leadership, loyalty, and inner strength of a franchise in the NBA.
He's like an extra coach to teach his teammates the importance of their rules and coach them while they're playing on the court.
If the Heat, let go of him, then he has no business to be on the Heat's bench. So, yeah he might already have a position on the Miami Heat team waiting once he retire.
Strong words. Yes, and sorry I downsized it with just being a supporting player.
Once returned, he just needs to refrain from attacking the paint until his confidence to do it comes back. Warriors will be deadly next season even other teams improved. We saw how Curry makes lots of crazy scores last season and they become noticeable even with a bad record. Now with the help again, I'm expecting he will be on his usual form and not that owning all offense by the team.
Or refrain from doing too much in the defensive end. If they can't stop one player from attacking, he just needs to trust his teammates to offer inside help.
It's difficult to look at one player aching to play ball but his injuries are stopping him.
We will see in December how big of an impact he will be again for the Warriors.
For the start of the season, they would lean with Curry's offensive attacks and some help from their casts.
Jordan Poole should also start taking his game up a notch and contribute.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never judge a token by it's name, Dev aren't your friend on: September 05, 2021, 11:42:50 AM
I saw Cake at 0.5 and thought that was overrated, after all, a financial project called "Pancake" with a token called "Cake" couldn't be serious. I followed it for 1 month and when I saw it, it shot to 8 dollars, so I waited for it to fall and bought the 6. It was one of the best moves I made, but still, I ended up missing the timing, because it reached 40 dollars and I ended up selling it at 15, in that insane fall
It happens. All you can do is get over it. Try to forget the mistake and move on.
Make another one and this time you will do better.
PancakeSwap has more usage now because of NFT's and I think it will not end in a short amount of time. You might want to keep some of those just in case it pumps again.
Names are just names, I see one named after a poop, and yet it still received a value in the market.
As long as the project is good then it will be supported. Names are important though to be easily remembered by users.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 05, 2021, 06:20:04 AM
Wow I cannot believe Udonis Haslem is still active. Player-coach type of thing is actually sounds very handy. And he might be great at it.

I also agree that Lakers vs Nets final is very much possible. For years and years, Lakers manages to always get a team with spectacular players. I mean just a team everyone speaks about. I feel like after the last finals, we need some superstars and get a big and more exciting series.
Miami Heat accepted the fact that he is like a supporting player only for years already.
Very soon they might let him go in the roster and put him in the staff. He does bring a lot of energy to the team and the first game in the bubble was the proof of it.

I just realized how fast years fly by a moment ago after I read about other members' opinions.
Suddenly Lebron and Melo are veterans and 3 - 4 more years and they will be retiring and we will be talking about new players with different names. It makes me a bit sad and emotional. I guess some of us here do feel the same way as I do.
1712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace crypto in 10 years? on: September 05, 2021, 02:48:55 AM
"Alternative." It's true for me in 10 years+. 5 years? I doubt it.
It's already happening but it's crawling. Gambling sites are mostly using cryptocurrencies and they have different options from Bitcoin to Litecoin.
It may be slow but as long as it is moving then I think we are going forward instead of backward.
The pandemic was also a big hit for us and it made some people wonder about how they could safely complete their transactions in a different method.
There is growth, we just need to be patient.

1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 04, 2021, 11:37:17 AM
Yeah, it seems that Lakers and the Nets will be battling for the "ages", pun intended of course.
Hahaha.  Grin Perhaps we could propose to the NBA to name it like that if ever both teams will be the ones who will face in the Finals.
I was hoping they sign Marc Gasol from Lakers. He and Kahwi had a good connection back in Toronto during their title run.
Not a bad idea. We have seen Clippers sit Zubac because they need speed against the Suns and there is no way Zubac will shoot outside.
After game 4 they switched to a small lineup and tried to use Cousins instead. Yeah, he may have done well but he cannot perform at a high level for 40+ minutes anymore. Gasol may be a good idea to stretch the rotation.
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just in case on: September 04, 2021, 08:29:50 AM
I'd never forgotten that idea.
I always have cash stashed in my house. I even told my wife when we are starting to build our family, I don't want every money going into banks or other types of savings. There should always be cash left at home in case of emergency.
Up until now, we never forget it. Even if I invested with different coins or projects I won't touch a single penny on that money.
Its purpose is different and should not be spent.
1715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain recruiter mass-spam email on: September 04, 2021, 03:49:23 AM
Once in a couple of months, I also receive this kind of e-mails related with cryptocurrencies and I don't know how the hell they got my address and even my link to crypto.
As mk4 said, it could be a method where they will just send it anywhere hoping for a reply.
Have you guys ever tried to look at online jobs websites services? You will see offers there for a job that would just harvest e-mails from different companies, etc..
And you will get paid. Crazy, right?
But the scariest part is if they hit the cherry and find a victim that suits all the descriptions in the e-mail.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 04, 2021, 02:28:53 AM
It’s now official. LaMarcus Aldridge has signed a 1-year deal with the Nets for 2.6 million dollars. Looks like he’s ready to make one more run at the title. I also hear that the Nets are sending DeAndre Jordan to the Pistons, where he’s likely to be bought out and sign with the Lakers for his last attempt at securing a title.

If one of those two teams doesn’t win it all this year, there’s going to be a lot of angry veterans.
ROFL. Those two teams are like the home for the aged.  Grin It's going to be fun a matchup when they meet.
Lakers and Nets will only meet 3 times unless they will battle for the Finals.
1 preseason (October 4), 1 after Christmas (December 26), and January 22, 2022. Games that should not be missed by the newly registered bandwagons.
Clippers are silent and just moved players once for Eric Bledsoe. I think they are building chemistry instead of rebuilding the team which is a great idea.
They may come back stronger especially if they can improve Terrance Mann's confidence.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB be worth $1,000? on: September 03, 2021, 08:37:23 AM
It can but time will tell.
Being a pioneer who made trading cheaper using their own coins made them climb the ladder at such a fast pace.
Most trading platforms are trying to copy this now but it's not as good as how Binance made it possible.
Now they added a chain that offers cheap and fast transactions which are widely used by crypto projects and even the NFT thing.
So yes, it could boost their value more and with success, it could go way beyond $1000.
1718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is not profitable enough! on: September 03, 2021, 03:31:55 AM
It's not profitable because it's converted to USD.
If you convert it to another currency then you will also look at the economy of the country that owns that currency.
What if you can pay your electric bill in Bitcoin that is valued in Bitcoin only and not converted?

I don't even know why we are talking about this right now because there is a 100 percent chance we won't witness the profitability per confirmed transactions only without block rewards.   Grin
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 03, 2021, 01:51:39 AM
There are rumors that LaMarcus Aldridge is going to return to the NBA next season. It seems that he is healthy at the moment, considering that he already passed all necessary tests. By the way, the Nets are interested in Aldridge, and they probably will sign a contract with him again.

The Nets just signed Paul Millsap. That makes them chasing Aldridge a little less likely. I didn’t really expect the Nets to land Millsap but those are the kinds of free agent moves that are possible when you’re heavily favorites to win it all next year. The Lakers I think have the best big three, but the Nets have some serious depth that will come in handy come playoff time.
It could also save them from unexpected injuries which happened last season.
You just never know what the outcome will be and if ever they could take a good spot in the season, they could start using the bench and restrict the minutes of their stars avoiding accidents.
I thought the Nuggets will resign him but it looks like they are also aiming for a younger player that will fill the forward spot.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 02, 2021, 04:04:41 PM
I am glad you all like the Clint Capela news.
I also felt great when I saw it because he truly deserves it. If this goes well, the Hawks will have a good pair of franchise players. Trae and Clint.
It's not easy to find big men who can play like that.
...
The rockets were going down the path of a complete rebuild, that's why they dumped everyone.
It was a pity to witness what happened to them after spending so much on building around Harden. I think they made a huge mistake when they chose him over CP3.
It was just not for them. The Rockets should try what the New York Knicks did if they cannot find a player that fits what they already have.
Build with a young core with long contracts and try to make something out of it. It's a risk but could also be rewarding if done right.
