1701  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: May 05, 2017, 01:21:00 AM
I do make sometimes some sport bets, but those doesnt affect my income at all, since its a low bet i dont risk more then 0,5-1 dollars, soo with that winning or loosing it wont hurt my pocket at all, if i win yeah if i loose yeah, soo doenst matter at all.
so what's the point since being addicted is not just because of the amount of money you take but the numbers of times you will play
with gamble, even you are just losing 1 $ a day but if you keep playing from time to time you can be classified as gambling addicted
too.
Don’t get me wrong but unless that dollar is a significant amount of your salary someone losing a dollar in gambling can in no way be classified as a gambling addiction even if it took you a while to lose that dollar, for example if you go and see a movie every week for which you pay 10 dollars that means that you spend on average 1.42 dollars a day, no one will classify that as an addiction to movies.
Addiction cant really be isolate or focus only on gambling since there are lots of types of addictions which causes for our money to be wasted or unwisely being spend.Playing on constant basis with spending money do really makes an individual to be addicted on playing gambling since he do already make it a habit on spending money just to play on daily basis.

That is it. I can bet everyday $1 dollar and be an addicted gambler, even if I don't need this little amount later. Because this became an habit and I can't stop doing this every day, it's an addiction. When the addicted person is contradicted, he becomes aggressive and doesn't accept what others say. And this can be just the beginning, you start betting low $1 daily everyday, after weeks you start betting $5 and so on...

Break addictions like this to don't become a slave of your habits.
I disagree, you are not describing someone that is addicted, you are describing the process by which someone becomes addicted, while this may seems like semantics it is not the same, someone that bets a dollar a day and that dollar is not an important part of their salary then they are not addicted.
1702  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: May 04, 2017, 01:54:05 AM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
All the transactions on bitcoin can be tracked, so bitcoin could help to track all of those transactions and that could lead to arrest of politicians, but make no mistake the corruption comes from the people and not from the tools they use.
1703  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: May 04, 2017, 01:51:54 AM
Now we are very close to achieve that price and may next few days we will be witnessing that high price of bitcoins and most of the users are holding their coins so that they can sell them when it reaches there to earn higher profits.
it always be the thing that everybody wants , a high expectation time after time for bitcoin price to keep growing and take it as profit. but everytime the price reached the highest price and you sell it , the market keep going crazy move up .

and regret always be yours instead enjoying the profit , people will never feel enough!
You don’t necessarily need to sell right at the top of the bubble to get profits, obviously no one likes to leave profits on the table, but as long as you get good profits then who cares if you sell 50 dollars away from the top of the bubble, enjoy your profits and wait for the next opportunity.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: Indian Economy at all-time high! What you say..? on: May 04, 2017, 01:47:50 AM
India is 1.2 bln of people, multiculture it is continent,India is mostly agriculture and most people are very poor,His infrastructure is very poor. Now many weserness comanys moved his prodution there becouse of raising cost of work in China. For sure it is land with great potencial but still there is high corruption .Economic data are just a paper data but India has much brghter future than USA thay just need muh more support his own companys and invest in more common education
Historically the top countries in terms of economic were always India and China thanks to the great amount of population and resources they had, that changed with the advent of the industrial revolution but as those countries get modernized they are slowly retaking those positions.
1705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: May 04, 2017, 01:45:21 AM
its very risky and that makes it so fun Smiley
Bitcoin investment is not that risky if you just know when to buy and when to sell. Every investment has risk but there is a possibility for every investor to minimize or get a less risk when investing by doing study about the news and also analyzing the market very well and because of those two there will be just a small chance of getting loss and also you will get a lesser risk than before.
While what you say is correct, we need to have a plan, many newbies buy bitcoin without knowing what to expect and at the first sight of problems they sell not knowing that bitcoin is very variable and losing 10% in a day is not much for us, but a newbie gets scared and they lose money that way.
1706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: May 04, 2017, 01:42:04 AM
It could attract some casual users. Many people know Bitcoin a bit, but never learned enough to use it. A Bitcoin shop with kind Staff could help.

But will it attract enough people who are willing to use the Bitcoin shop too? Won't using an online shop be the more comfortable solution?
You are right, It's a good idea to open bitcoin shops in big cities, It will attract many peoples, People who know bitcoin and people who don't know it. In these two cases it's too great for bitcoin. I am with this idea. and one day i want to buy some staff using my bitcoin in the real world.

Opening a bitcoin shops in big cities is very good idea, but the main problem will be that whether the bitcoin is legal in that country where you are going to start the idea because until you dont have clear view on taxation and legalization of bitcoin you cannot start any shop without problem.

You can open your shop and accept fiat and BTC. There isn't any regulamentation about Bitcoin on most countries, so you are safe to use it, nobody will enter your shop and forbid you using the alternative payment method.

The problem is that if you store start having much success, it will wake other's interests and they will try to sabotage your business or will try to make you have less profit by paying high fees and introducing the BTC regulamentation on the country.
It is unlikely that a shop will become so big as to attract the attention of the authorities and other competitors unless we are talking about an exchange or something like that but if we talking about a shop that sells some souvenirs then you will be fine.
1707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 02, 2017, 04:27:45 AM
It's something which seems crucial to me for reaching mass adoption (in addition to scalabilty of course...).
Already on this forum there is a shitload of people losing their Bitcoins by forgetting passphrases, the private keys, the dat file etc...
So I would like to know what technological solutions could be proposed for this problem.

To make a comparison, a lot of people are forgetting their credit card code (even if it's only 4 digits...) or losing the card and the centralized solution to this is the bank providing new card/code.

Which decentralized solutions to this problems could you think of?
You could just backup your files, if you use a smartphone and you want to save your selfies and music you backup your phone and you can do that with a few clicks, they could backup their wallets during that process and forget about  losing their coins, but people are lazy and don’t want to even do that.
1708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: May 02, 2017, 04:20:51 AM
better than waste lots of time in the dice site using an that could be automated with a bot
A bot is there in mostly all dice sites but i think he is talking about additional bot which claims to earn you profit. Even though i haven't heard much about a dice bot i think that it does some sort of calculations of your losses and will help you win.
now it has many emerging software that could be a bot on gambling website. I've never tried it, but I am concerned at the bot robot software contained spyware. we should be very concerned about the safety factor.
Without a doubt this should be a concern not only for something like a dice bot but to almost anything you download of the internet especially if you have a wallet in that installation since if it contains spy ware it will be very easy to steal your coins.
better to keep an eye on it , people should reminded about this ,
never safe to download any software from a non well known people ,
seuntjie so far has a good reputation on how he build a dice bot , you can trust him but of course with a lot of consideration ,
if you still feel insecure , why not you try to build one by yourself?

I wonder why do we need to download something from the internet when majority of the online Casino have their dice bot.  We should take cautious in download anything especially if we need it to run in our system.  Best thing here is to run it in a virtual machine and use it to a dummy account.  the withdraw everything from that account once we are done with gambling.
Maybe they don’t trust that the bot given by the casino has all the features they like or they may like to try something else, but as you said when it comes to money it is better to be safe than sorry, so if possible it will be best if you could code your own bot.
Bots are developed to profit the authority and not the users. Only the lucky user gets profited, mostly not make things easier but eradicate the winning chance. Each was developed on different strategies so while playing mismatch will happen. Understanding and creating yours own bot might profit you.
Making your own bot is really good, though will it ensure you profit? or will your bot be the reason why you will be losing your money. Bots are made to make your gambling activities easy, not really to gain profits from them. Gamblers bet small sometimes even with big bankroll, they use bot than clicking repeatedly the roll button.
I think he was describing an scenario in which a developer creates a bot and instead of using it itself, the developer sells the bot to other players so they can gamble with it, but most bots creators directly state that their bots don’t generate profits at all.
1709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is not Ideal, it represents possibilities. on: May 02, 2017, 04:18:22 AM
Bitcoin network can not be hacked because it is decentralized, it will be difficult for hack it
but bitcoin will be dangerous if there are many super computers,
be used on every where or all of people use super computers on every activity related with internet
and we can be lost amount bitcoin if the other people know our private key.
There are measurements already taken to protect the security of our private Keys. I remember Theymos wrote on reddit like switching over to new algorithm based encryption in next 5 to 6 years. Actually Theymos made  this statement for the concern of Satohi's hoarding (believed Satohis had mined 1+ million coins).

So, super computer or quantum computation will not be threat as bitcoin will be switching over to new encryption well in advance itself.
Quantum computers are not going to appear overnight it is going to be a slow development and when they appear not only bitcoin but the whole financial system will be vulnerable but that will give us time to implement solution for that since there are already some algorithms that cannot be broken by those computers.
1710  Economy / Speculation / Re: You'll sell at the bottom on: May 02, 2017, 04:14:18 AM
Every BTC below 10 000 USD is a steal.  Cheesy
Lets not kid ourselves, the potential of bitcoin is there but it is only that a potential, until that price materializes then the market value is what determines the price of bitcoin and at this time is nowhere close to being 10000 dollars.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoin Economics on: May 02, 2017, 04:12:33 AM
Perhaps in the future, some of the world's economies will depend on bitcoin. That is, they have started looking for bitcoin in large numbers, and opened a business or business with it, and the business is a business that is completely legal, and the government also receives bitcoin. I am sure, the future of bitcoin economy will be very good.
Yes, I also agree with it in the future will be a lot of bitcoin d use, such as online selling needs or other transactions. But if the Government that you say I am still doubting it.
That certainly in the future will grow a lot more using bitcoin.
But we must see the bitcoin dev try to resolve the problem of bitcoin. So, it's possible for bitcoin to get massive adoption by the people around the world.

Without more blocksize limit and I guess the massive adoption will impossible in the future. government will still always consider the bitcoin as illegal thing.
They do not need to declare bitcoin as illegal thing, as long as they can control it, there would be no more problem on their part. It is not a threat to them, in fact they are inspired with the blockchain so that would simply mean they find bitcoin a revolutionary invention and useful to mankind.
But that is a big if, taken control over bitcoin is not an easy thing to do at all, because of the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the nature of the project itself being open sourced than governments don’t have as much options as you may think to take over the network.
Well, really, all a government has to do is start their own mining system and just have enough hashing power that they make up a majority of the network. That or they just pay off or threaten miners with their own apparatuses and force them to do the government's bidding, although that's a lot less likely.
If Bitcoin ever becomes a major thing for the world then I wouldn't doubt some governments making their own mining pools and building up in what would essentially be an arms race to try and take control over the network. It all comes down to the risk and reward, and it might be valuable enough in the future that the expenditures might be a worthy sacrifice.
But you are assuming governments will just cooperate to try to destroy bitcoin, a greater possibility is that they don’t and with several governments competing to try to get as much hash power as possible then the only thing they are going to do is to increase mining difficulty but they are going to be unable to take over the network
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people get together for altcoin projects? on: May 01, 2017, 03:17:39 AM
How do people find together to start a new project? New projects and ICOs have nowadays usually 5 or more people (developers, consultants, marketing guys, lawyers, ...) from the beginning. They have to get together somehow. How does this happen?
There are many ways, it is no different than any other group of people trying to get together to do something, sometimes people begin to brainstorm ideas and then people begin to get excited about the project and then you begin to look for candidates that can fulfill a particular role in the project and when you have all the pieces you launch the project.
1713  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buy a wife with bitcoins on: May 01, 2017, 03:13:54 AM
Came accross this on the internetz and sharing just for lols

https://prettyasianbrides.com now accept bitcoins. You can get yourself one for ~2.5 btc.

Any takers?

Edit: I posted this link as I found it funny. Apart from whether or not such business is morally OK - the site itself is likely a scam. Do not attempt to purchase a wife this way.
I laugh at this, this is obvious a scam or at least I hope so , I don’t want to think of the possibility that the website actually is going to fulfill its promise since that means those poor women are treated as things to sell and that is not right, so while both options are bad I hope it is a scam.
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with all the green rise of altcoin today? on: May 01, 2017, 03:07:56 AM
We all knew that bitcoin broke the ATH of $1200 and its now $1300

Based on some philosophy people mentioned that when Btc raise, most of the alts drop

But look at the top 20 coins in cmc

Dash
Eth
Ripple
Monero
And even Doge
DOGE GROW 18%

Any particular reason?
That means that is not the same money that is moving around from bitcoin to altcoins and vice versa that means new money is entering the market of cryptocurrencies and that is causing a bullish run on all the major coins, and of course this is good new to all of us.
1715  Economy / Economics / Re: Nowhere to Hide: IMF Advocates a Cashless World on: May 01, 2017, 03:05:08 AM
Money is overrated Grin It should not be the main tool for privacy-relevant activity.

That doesn't mean that I'm supporting the anti-cash/pro-bank policy of these institutions. But sometimes I think people should be less paranoid. And the following is only a personal opinion, but I think the importance of money will tend to decrease in a highly automated knowledge society.
I don’t have a problem with a cashless society as long as there is privacy but we know that is not what they want, this is not about being paranoid, they want to know in what you use your money to completely monitor your activities and that is why I support bitcoin.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make a good amount with 0.01BTC? on: May 01, 2017, 02:58:50 AM
How to make a decent amount with 0.01BTC  in good time? Any good strategy or any method? Or any tips please?
Don't ask for any tips and method you can do it by your self aren't you trusting your self that you can do it by your self without help of others? By playing you will encounter on how to play fair with your net profit 0.01 can earn daily if your in trading not in gambling too.
There is nothing wrong with asking advice but I doubt there are many that are going to share their methods to produce such profits since in most cases the method can get saturated very quickly and that will cause you to begin all over again.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone NOT made profit in this astonishing bull run?? on: April 30, 2017, 05:49:04 AM
Me, more or less.   The irony is that I lost out on making a profit because I spent bitcoin.  And if you ever needed proof that bitcoin is doomed as a form of money, there you go.  When people want to hold onto something instead of spending it, that's a lousy currency.
Can confirm. Most of the time I want to make a purchase but I'm held back by the fact that the price could shoot up and I could be out of a couple bucks that I could've gained if I had just held. The way I see it, Bitcoin is more of a storage device than a currency, considering most people in the speculation section of the forum seem to like holding, as do I.
I disagree, one of the purposes of money is to be a store of value, and bitcoin is doing that in a great way, as you say this causes people to keep holding but this is better than what we have with fiat, since fiat is not a store of value people spend their money as fast as they can because they know that their money is going to lose value, you are just not used to the way real money behaves because you have only used fiat in the past.

1719  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: April 30, 2017, 05:36:43 AM
Nobody knew that it would be worth so years ago.In the same way, no one knows what the price will be five years from now.No one can guarantee that Btc will become very rich in the future with this logic in mind.I can say that it will be valued more than now.
The price of bitcoins will be definitely higher in next couple of years but cannot predict what will be the exact  price it will hold and if your intention is to become rich with bitcoins then you should try to accumulate as many coins as possible.

I know this would sound absurd to some but you can actually predict the exact price of bitcoin but you don't know when will that be. You can say $1431 exactly and the price of bitcoin at some point will be exactly that price. Maybe not for a really long time, but all of the number were once the price of bitcoin. Numbers lower than $1300 were once the price of bitcoin.

My plan is to accumulate as many coins as I can so regardless if bitcoin price will go as high as we are expecting or not, I'm going to have a decent amount of money.
In a way you are right but if you are not able to tell at least a range in which your prediction is going to come true then that is not a prediction at all, since there is no way to take any action to take advantage of this information at all.
1720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: April 30, 2017, 05:31:46 AM
Anything can be happened. No one can say that the exact future of bitcoin after 20 years. but I seem bitcoin will grow up to 20,000$ that time.
That is too high that would require an increase of price of one thousand dollars per year when just a few months ago reaching the price of 1000 was difficult enough I think a more conservative prediction will be something between 3 and 6 thousand.
