Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley
I love the idea of a bitcoin shop but I think if someone decides to open a shop like that then you probably going to want open shop in a  place that has lots of bitcoin user, so instead of choosing a city in Europe, you could choose Tokyo now that Japan has recognized bitcoin as money.
yes that is really a good idea, but i think it is also very difficult to survive in a big city, as the expense are much more there as compare to small cities.

Im confused if you saying that they make an idea to have an bitcoin shop that you can buy products using bitcoin or just a buy and sell bitcoin shop, It is good if many convenient stores or any stores accepts bitcoin has payment so we can easily buy things without hassle in withdrawing bitcoin or selling it in other people with risk,
But i think if they will make the store is bitcoin payment accepted it has a tax or transaction fee on every items you buy.

I don't think that an actual shop might be appropriate just for buying and selling. And also there are now Bitcoin Atm machines in which you can buy and sell Bitcoin there, they also update there prices in real time equal to the market value of Bitcoin. Also Bitcoin Atm proves that even an ATM machine does not have so many customers (meaning only a few use it), could you imagine if that was a Bitcoin Shop? It would close early because of the lack of customers. If Bitcoin Atms are starting to have lines then I will consider adding another machine for it to be sufficient, But I would not even think of opening a shop just for the sake of buying and selling Bitcoin.

I think what he meant by that is selling products that offers Bitcoin because I think it is not that useful if you build a shop just for buying and selling of Bitcoin because you can just do it on your phone and its a lot faster that way. It is a good idea having a Bitcoin shop that sell different products which offers to either buy it using fiat or Bitcoin.

You are correct but maybe instead of opening a physical shop you could open a web shop instead with yourself located in Japan to make the logistics easier and in that way get a bigger market share by being right in the middle of the action.

Right now if you're in Japan then that's good to open physical shop as well a online web shop loaded with the particular product that you've made. Here logistics is not a big concern, acceptance of bitcoin is the important factor. Now Japan has got acceptance, if the same happens with other countries that would be good.

It could attract some casual users. Many people know Bitcoin a bit, but never learned enough to use it. A Bitcoin shop with kind Staff could help.

But will it attract enough people who are willing to use the Bitcoin shop too? Won't using an online shop be the more comfortable solution?

That is good and I think Japan will be the first country to fully integrate bitcoin  to their shops as it is legally acceptable there already. Also, as cryptocurrency like bitcoin is gaining ground there, we know also that they are number 1 in electronics that is why adoption in their with bitcoin is fast.

A shop can do both.  Online or offline, it should be flexible.  And I agree it will attract more casual users.  It will also help in propagation of Bitcoin awareness since people will see Bitcoin Banners they used to see only in the internet.  More curious people will be attracted and will inquire about Bitcoin thus more possible users will be generated.

You are right, It's a good idea to open bitcoin shops in big cities, It will attract many peoples, People who know bitcoin and people who don't know it. In these two cases it's too great for bitcoin. I am with this idea. and one day i want to buy some staff using my bitcoin in the real world.

Opening a bitcoin shops in big cities is very good idea, but the main problem will be that whether the bitcoin is legal in that country where you are going to start the idea because until you dont have clear view on taxation and legalization of bitcoin you cannot start any shop without problem.

You can open your shop and accept fiat and BTC. There isn't any regulamentation about Bitcoin on most countries, so you are safe to use it, nobody will enter your shop and forbid you using the alternative payment method.

The problem is that if you store start having much success, it will wake other's interests and they will try to sabotage your business or will try to make you have less profit by paying high fees and introducing the BTC regulamentation on the country.

Yes, Japan is including in the most progressive country in the world not like here in the philippines our government is very corrupt i think if the bitcoin will become popular here they will put tax and i think the media is will not tell the news about earning a good profit on bitcoins because of the banks or it will affects the community because the salary of the people here is just very low so if other people discovered it they will stop on working, Media is controlled by government but it has a 1 convenient store here that you can buy bitcoins it's called 7/11 but they don't accept bitcoin as payment for their products.

In my perception, it will be an advantage for us a bitcoin users or fanatic, but there's a little bit disadvantage too, it should be  the area must have a strong internet connection due if not it will not be good for the shoppers if the delayed confirmation will happen of course shoppers will get mad also.

It is unlikely that a shop will become so big as to attract the attention of the authorities and other competitors unless we are talking about an exchange or something like that but if we talking about a shop that sells some souvenirs then you will be fine.

I think bitcoin has been used for sale and purchase transactions.

But of course there are various shops and businesses in Europe and the US that accept Bitcoin. There was a time someone here, I think Lenny, made a website collating various shops and businesses across the world that accept bitcoins for their goods and services.

The use of Bitcoin has actually been over emphasized. Has anyone come to realize that the dominance of Bitcoin in the crypto market has dropped to about 57% today as against 87% it was two months ago?

Would probably be much better if in my city there is also a bitcoin shop, Unfortunately in my town bitcoin has not developed as I expected

True so in my country Bitcoin is not so well known and scattered. I would be very happy when there are many stores that receive bitcoin in my town. But with the current conditions, it feels very hard.

But it depends on the products or stuff that you are going to sell if it is going to be popular to the public, or to bitcoin users. It would be better if you are just going to make an online shop, so that you could save more money and you could manage your time compare if you are going to make a shop on the city, it is going to be hassle, and depressing if no one is buying on your shop.
