then we were all epically goxxed with an insane hackcrash from $17 to, basically, $0. It was gut-wrenching. I was on my way to the gym when it happened and casually opened the price app on my phone to see the price was under $10. I was a little disturbed, but it's bitcoin. At another stop light I checked again and the price was under $5. That's when I called my wife and frantically attempted to explain to her how to log on to MtGox and put in a sell order...by the time she logged in the price was $0.25 and I said, "well, shit, it's pretty much all gone..."
I was on vacation watching in amazement on my mobile. All I remember thinking was that I wish I could get a buy order to go through. It was easily one of the most exciting moments in Bitcoin history.

Awesome. Thanks! If there are no concerns about this issue then we can move on. I hoped someone would be able to locate this info. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

There is a concern regarding our purchased PSUs. (I corrected his statement below per later clarifications) As a side note, if you are planning on doing any overclocking or running an Imperial, please be sure your PSU has 18ga wire for the PCIe connectors. If you have a cheap PSU that has ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) wiring, you are going to be a very sad panda at some point I would imagine. The warranty will not cover melted connectors due to incorrect wire sizing. Most quality PSUs should have 18ga wires for their PCIe connectors. Someone later stated that our ordered PSUs (EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2) use 20GA wiring for their PCIe connectors. Upon reading that, I looked into it, but was unable to find confirmation of the PCIe connector size used in our PSUs. This is somewhat of a time pressing issue, as tomorrow is the last day we could return our purchased PSUs for a full refund. Should we be safe and wait for BFL to recommend a PSU while returning these units? Anyone have more insight on this issue?

So the exchange rate shouldn't have much of an impact
You must be new here. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

This is cool. Would be great if you could tie in the USD price. Some of those securities may have IPO'd at $1,050 per BTC, so it would have been much easier to ROI in BTC for them, as opposed to the others that IPO'd at a lower BTC exchange rate. It's somewhat important since the expenses for these operations are paid in USD and the community values most purchases in USD. Would be great to see ROI rates based on the USD return to see the true performance of these businesses as opposed to predominantly measuring the timing of their IPO.

Below is my post that made Goat so angry and caused him to offer this fake bounty, for those wanting to know the saga behind this thread. This is like the 4th goat related post I've seen scanning through the unread posts, who is this guy? I mean if he did something this heinous, wouldn't he have been banned from the forums by now? I don't know the full story so excuse me, I have no idea what's going on, but I don't usually make informed decisions until I know all the facts.
He was banned. Not sure why they let him back... Basically the short version of the story is this. Goat made up several businesses to raise a ton of BTC from duped investors. Some of those businesses include a nonexistent arbitrage bot, a mining company that had no mining equipment, and a rice patty field in a 3rd world country (I missed a few but these were the most outrageous)... He then took all the raised BTC and dumped it into a ponzi scheme. He made a small fortune from this, and then when the ponzi collapsed, all of his businesses suddenly stopped and investors ate the loss. He then tried to stir up as much trouble as he could, to try and make it look like the exchange did something wrong. He is still trying to pin this blame on the exchange even after others were able to migrate with no issues whatsoever. No matter that he was selling investments that did not exist... Falsely issuing securities of nonexistent companies to divert investor funds into a ponzi scheme for his own gain while leaving them all the risk. That is Goat.TL;DR 1. Raise Bitcoin from investors pretending to offer multiple safe investments. 2. Invest everything in the riskiest thing possible. 3. Keep all the dividends from risky investment. 4. When investment goes bad, say businesses fail and blame the exchange. 5. Buy a Bugatti ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

Make sure there's an option for, "Goat finds an excuse to not let this happen" as that would be where my wager would land. Lets make this official. shall we? sure, it needs to be to get the 50k Is that an acceptance for the charity boxing match? [/quote there is $50,000 on your head for your scam and you want to troll? you NEED to go to jail. Yes. Learn to quote much? EDIT: I see now that Goat is opposed to the charity boxing match because I intended to use the $50,000 to donate goats for feeding hungry people in impoverished nations. Perhaps if we agreed on a charity?

Yeah no point acting all mysterious about it.
What's the scam accusation? If you have a claim Then out with it, otherwise what's the point of this thread?
Seems these guys have had a run in and its recently been brought up again at the scam accusation against goat over at the scam accusation where goat is defending himself against a lawyer. but ognasty posted on the thread and seems history has been brought up yet again. That's a good summary except that the "run in" was just me alerting others about his scam. Goat is accusing me of being a scammer for the purpose of trolling and posting a fake bounty, which should be enough to earn him a ban for a while. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) EDIT: GOAT I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN PROVE WHO I AM. I HAVE OFFERED TO COLLECT THE BOUNTY. CONVICTION IS NOT POSSIBLE, BUT I WILL HAPPILY SHOW MY ID AND SIGN MY BITCOIN ADDRESS IN FRONT OF YOU..

I have a BFL Single that was sent to someone who decided they don't want it anymore. I ran the unit at 54GH/s stable with no issues for around a year. It comes with a power supply supplied by the no longer interested party.
I'll accept 0.1 BTC shipped in the US, or best offer.

I already have them boxed up so testing would not be preferred on my part. I can say that none of them have ever been overclocked or had issues. The Sapphire card has a fan that rarely makes a clicking noise, which could lead to seizing or just an unpleasant sound in the future (but currently does not). The reference card was never used for mining, and the other two were used for only a few months. I'm open to offers.
