Bid wall @$3 continues to build.  short into it.

notice the bid wall sliding to the right closer to the price.  it WANTS to be hit by the shorts.

where's BitMagic when we need him?

Someone posted a great chart comparing troll activity (measured by Nagle's posting volume) vs price.  Every time it goes up they go away, it seems.

I'm still here, I just got tired of trying to teach cypher_doc how not to be an idiot. I decided to take my antics away from meaningless debates, and put my skills into real change for y'all.

Be warned!

you can't be serious.  thats your analysis?

On a semi-related note. Howcome the price sometime jumps without a big purchase or sell. I just watched it go from 3.25 up to 3.4 with a purchase of around 1 BTC that did not clear the sell orders below 3.4 Sounds kind of dodgy doesn't it? Either somehow someone bought at a price they shouldn't have been able to or the price reporting glitched, or for a second every sell order below 3.4 was retracted and then reinstated a second later.

The Manipulator.

You wanna have superior evidence?

Blow up the BTC/USD graph for the last year and put an RSI -per day indicator under it.
Then switch to per week and watch what happens.

So, how does this RSI indicator work?
What does it say and what does that mean?

don't bother.

there are larger forces at work.  i  warned you all last nite about todays ramp in stocks which will result in a secondary ramp in Bitcoin.

todays FOMC meeting will tell alot where we're headed the next few months and i think its UP.

I think long term the fundamentals are very important, and they are, quite frankly different now.

The various scams & scandals have severely weakened bitcoin and it has to recover from these wounds. You could argue that this has no effect on the practical use of bitcoin, but the public cares about these things very much.

I am waiting for the first major business to report a growth rate in bitcoin sales, then I'll become bullish again Smiley

meanwhile the price rises slowly w/o you.
I don't really care about that. If someone wants bitcoins more than me he can have them I can always profit from volatility.
Of course just holding them would be way cooler, and I think the time will come again where this isn't that risky but for me that time hasn't come yet.

So thanks for taking the risk for me Smiley

you don't enter markets when there is low risk, you enter when there is opportunity for reward.
17073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning: How many of you Bears have ever been a victim of a Short Squeeze? on: November 02, 2011, 04:17:08 AM
despite the huge dump in the stock mkt the last couple of days and the amount of bad news out of Europe, Bitcoin has barely budged.

what happens for the rest of the week when we have a reversal UP?

there may be a rally tomorrow, but this will only be a dead cat bounce for stocks before they almost die in the next 2-3 years. Dow target below 1000 we are coming..

i think it gets over the 5/11 high before we die.
17077  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's that time again! Rally is coming soon :) on: November 01, 2011, 11:30:59 PM
I'm not sure, I seem to remember someone saying that, and you seemed the most likely person Wink

Still though, why would a ramping stock market be good for bitcoin? By ramping you mean ramping up, right?

basically, when the USD goes down, all assets go up.  when the USD and UST's go down, all assets really go up.
17078  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's that time again! Rally is coming soon :) on: November 01, 2011, 10:59:10 PM
Wasn't the reasoning: "Stock markets are crashing! There's a lot of 'free wealth' which needs new investments! Bitcoin is ideal for that!"

i don't know if you're referring to my reasoning but i never said that.

what i've been saying is that there appears to be a newfound revulsion of sovereign debt which appears to include US Treasuries.  if the selloff in US Treasuries continue, THAT will free up huge sums of USD's looking for a new home.
17079  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning: How many of you Bears have ever been a victim of a Short Squeeze? on: November 01, 2011, 10:40:41 PM
another squeeze coming...

You're the Neo to my Smith.

i take that as a compliment  Wink

i think we're gonna get a good size ramp job tomorrow.  look out.

I'm lost on the lingo. ramp=rally in what?

stocks; and if they rally i think Bitcoin goes up too.
