bitcoincharts - probably most accurate data, they ask old mtgox's api (polling) sierrachart - uses bitcoincharts data, but bitcoinchart is serving delayed data (20 min?). So using websocket (if it works) is definitely better solution. mtgoxlive - because websocket is broken?
sierra charts 0.3 -w websocket is delayed vs mtgoxlive next best vs bitcoincharts direct the best.

No, it's 0.3 for pretty long time. It adds MtGox multicurrency support and also use better (more stable) websocket library. Follow link bellow...
geez why are all the prices diff btwn 0.3, mtgoxlive, and bitcoincharts?
hey Slush, you're Sierra Chart plug in still work?
Yes, simply use -w option to switch off websocket, it will use only bitcoincharts.com polling. Actually that's the reason why I though mtgox socket is working; I overlooked that I'm using -w already ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) . is it still 0.2?
Forget MtGox Live. MtGox Websockets have been down for a few days now.
Works for me (however it felt down few times during last day).Edit: You're right, it's down. hey Slush, your Sierra Chart plug in still work?

You're a bit late, the "rally" is almost ready to start winding down. would you stop guessing?

I wish for it to go to 2.7, and then up to above 4, within 12 hours. If it does this, I'll start believing in santa.
you sure are demanding ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

i've told this story before but i have a friend who's a DEA agent here locally who goes out on busts and works in the surveillance division where you'd think they'd know alot about Bitcoin, Tor, and PGP encryption. Nope. no clue. he's says the difficult stuff gets sent back to Washington.

Poor Edward! won't get his chance to become an early adopter! ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

This bastard manipulator is ruining our dreams of cheap bitcoins.
aren't you the one whose been so up in arms about how the early adopters didn't do anything to deserve their coins and got them on the cheap while the rest of us had to pay for them? what a hypocrite!
Huh. Seems to have broken through $3 pretty easily...I would have expected more people to have previously decided to bail at that marker.
OP: It sure would be a shame if got pre-occupied whining about some manipulator or whatever and missed the train.
yes, that would be funny wouldn't it? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Why would mt gox. benefit from have the price higher?
We all benefit from a higher exchange rate. It means greater market depth and increases the prospects for Bitcoin to be used in broader commerce. Hoping for a low exchange rate is the same thing as wanting Bitcoin to remain a geek toy. finally someone who understands market dynamics. yes, it will encourage optimism, new investment, new merchants and yes, speculation. but who the hell cares as long as they're bringing their money to the Bitcoin table?
So no new lower lows?
i don't think so. i'm pretty good at picking tops and bottoms as my gold thread shows: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=35956.0all the ingredients are here for a major reversal rally to new highs. i can smell it. the # forum visitors is up. the mtgoxlive logins are up. the bid walls are up. the whole bid mountain is up. the intensity of the whole debate is up. sentiment has bottomed with the Bears and shorts declaring victory and calling Bitcoin dead. i've been playing the general stock market for years and this is the stuff of major reversals. many of the old guard are showing up here again b/c deep down they smell a bottom too. all the macroeconomic indicators would support this view as well and i have sprayed those signals and signs all over these threads. i would take them seriously.

Being liquidated means he's already forced to sell buy back his borrowed bitcoins at a higher price, so he already lost a lot of money. If he had seen this coming, he could indeed have added funds beforehand.

actually i should clarify. i will NOT be going long pm's or the miners. neutral right now.
So you've lost confidence in your previous prediction? Quit the shorts? depends on what time frame you're talking about. the shorts on pm's and miners served its purposes well until i made this call: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=35956.msg560220#msg560220i tried legging into one small short after that but took it down immediately when it became clearer the $DXY was going to fail. investing is a process or evolution. when the info changes you have to adapt. i've proven i'm not a perma-anything. my overall theories still hold true but nows not the time to short pm's and miners.

btw, i haven't seen a single trade go off on mtgoxlive for a while now. are his computers congested from all the traffic? Naw, there's just infinite dark pool resistance on both sides of the magic number 2.92466 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) he discontinued dark pools months ago.

macroeconomically, the stock mkt is telling us we've avoided the Great Depression 2.0. the psychological relief from that is just setting in and will drive all assets and risk plays higher.

all it takes is for more than one of those big buyers to come off the wall causing a sustained spike over $3 to create the panic buying. we've already seen several since i started this thread.

the BID mountain is rising across the board. these are BUYERS not sellers. patience.
