1721  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITSTAMP eXchange wall Observer. second biggest and best exchange on: September 04, 2013, 07:35:28 PM
So MtGox is actually following Bitstamp now, nice. Grin

this makes potential crash worse because bitstamp has very little bid depth. I suspect gox stops following $50-60ish range, or if not we gonna crash to single digits.

I am from the future!!!!!!!!!!!  Cheesy

It's not single digits yet

I joked about that part. Don't expect single digits until next week. This week is double digit crash.  Grin

Also, keep an eye on this: http://www.marketwatch.com/investing/bond/10_year

If it goes over 3%, expect mass panic in markets and flee to USD. Probably will affect btc, but cannot be sure
1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 04, 2013, 06:44:48 PM
Well it is all gone now, the owner of that wall sold the last 600 down to 143.

Still wont go down. Gentlemen, place your bets   Cool

My bids are in single digits and some double cents. But, i dont expect crash until late Wednesday, more likely thursday.

Who called it, oh yea walz did. You guys are going to be calling me a prophet by Friday.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC coming to Gox? on: September 04, 2013, 04:54:55 PM
Actually, I'm not at all convinced LTC will rocket even after a crash. The only thing driving BTC price up on Gox is the inability to cash out, unless you take your btc to another exchange (and eat huge loss in doing so). How many places can you cash out LTC for USD? Almost none, other than sketchy, small or new exchanges. Certainly none that are FINCEN compliant.

Yea, little reason to buy ltc.

do you support any alt coins? i personally question if i should

PPCoin and Primecoin are awesome (long term). Ltc and pretty much all scrypt coins are poorly conceived. Only purpose they serve is pump then dump. They'll be gone in a couple years.

No reason not to stock up on litecoins in order to play that and get a nice profit.

THERE IS A REASON if the first thing ltc does is crash once it hits gox. Buy after that.

Quote
Why has bitcoin jumped recently?

bitcoin is booming.

Completely inconsistent with the under 7k 24hr volume I'm seeing on Gox right now (even less on Bitstamp) and the extreme difficulty in getting fiat out of Gox, which is the ONLY thing driving the price up atm.

Booming... yea right. More like Gox extorting the suckers with fiat there.

This is pretty bullish news for LTC on gox. That post just means they're checking items off their list, eventually leading up to the implementation of LTC. Beats me why they wouldn't want to implement it either, it would reap them huge profits.

Time to stock up on ltc boys.

It makes no sense to implement LTC prior to the new trading engine. Don't count on it.

It's coming either way, whether it's this month or 2 months from now. Right now is a good price to buy in.

Disagree. Price is where it is due to supporting of pumps by BTCe. It is over inflated and tons of noobs are waiting to cash out once it hits Gox.

Basic trading rule: if everyone buys hoping same thing will happen, it wont. In this case, for months traders been buying in anticipation of Gox IPO. Too many holding too many coins. I bet we see a typical "IPO" crash once it hits Gox, followed by a nice rocket of course.

"Crash" is such a harsh, polarizing word.

I apologize for using such terminology. In reality, i hate anti-magnets as much as any reasonable person. However, i am harshly adverse to spreading falsehoods. I must profess and spout the truth as I observe and intuit it, at every opportunity the gods give me.

Truth of the gods... Good one.

Which ones do you worship, out of curiosity?

To add more fuel to the fire, US 10year treasures going up again. 52 week high of 2.94, and today hit 2.92.

Again, not sure what this mean for bitcoin. But many experts think 10year going up will have negative effect on virtually all assets as traders dash towards fiat. Theory is that fiat can be used to repurchased same assets at much lower prices, having been forced down by rates.

WE'LL see! Sept is going to be interesting month
1736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 03, 2013, 04:32:10 PM
Complicating risky territory of under 50k ask sum is USA's war w/ syria. Not clear if and what that will do to the price. What is certain, is USA will strike.
1737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 03, 2013, 04:01:38 PM
Meanwhile, no jump...  Shocked

that's a real bad sign. The last two mega whale buys put us up $10 which lasted until another mega buy.

Not saying i disagree but what happened to uberbull USD cannons?

I turn cannons back on after crash. Not going to dance with uber low ask SUM. historically, below 50k sum very dangerous territory
